Romantic Hotels in Macau

The twin room at Galaxy Hotel, though not very spacious, was comfortable. They set up a tent for the kids, allowing both adults and children to rest independently. The room also offered a nice view, and my child, who loves cars, enjoyed watching numerous vehicles from the window every morning. The in-room coffee machine was an Illy, and the coffee smelled wonderful and fragrant. For children, they provided a set of amenities including toothbrushes, slippers, picture books, and bath towels. Breakfast at the hotel was semi-buffet. While the self-service section didn't offer a vast variety, the items were quite exquisite. Having been accustomed to the extensive full buffets at other hotels, I was a little disappointed. However, the dining environment was pleasant. Breakfast hours were from 7 AM to 11 AM, and lunch was from 11:30 AM to 2 PM, so you could choose a time slot. The children's play facilities were exceptionally rich, with outdoor water play, sand play, and an indoor Kids' Club. Keeping the children entertained at the hotel for a whole day was not an issue. Overall, the experience at Galaxy Hotel was quite good, as it's a reputable long-standing hotel. During check-out, the front desk staff, Martin, even gave us a small gift, which was very thoughtful. We checked out the day before the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the hotel mentioned there would be more surprising activities during the festival.

Ahead of the holiday, I still chose to stay at Hotel Lisboa in Macau. Besides being great value for money, the environment, hygiene, and service were excellent, and getting around was convenient. The view from the window was lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed strolling the streets and walking along Nam Van Lake in the evening.

The front desk service was efficient, handling check-in procedures quickly. The duvet cover was very comfortable, and all equipment worked perfectly with stable supplies. My stay was smooth, and it offers great value for money. I would choose this hotel again.

The location is excellent, right downstairs from Grand Lisboa Hotel and New Yaohan shopping mall. Transportation is super convenient, very close to Gongbei Port. The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk even upgraded me! The room experience was superb, and the bathroom's bathtub was huge.

I accidentally booked lunch instead of breakfast, and it was a hassle to switch, plus they didn't offer a refund. The hotel doesn't have a shuttle, but the Starworld Hotel across the street does.

Traveling to Macau with a family of four, we booked both a king room and a twin room for 4 days and 3 nights, as online reviews suggested the location, cleanliness, and price offered good value for money. Overall, the stay was just so-so. Let's start with the positives: the young lady at check-in and the housekeeping ladies definitely deserve praise. The front desk staff were very welcoming, offering great recommendations for local food and entertainment, and advising us on the most convenient transportation. The housekeeping ladies greeted us warmly every day, cleaned thoroughly, proactively asked when it would be convenient for them to clean, and restocked the complimentary toiletries and bottled water daily. Now for the negative experiences: First, regarding the rooms. The twin room was fine, but the king room had an interconnecting door leading directly to the next room. Although it was locked and couldn't be opened from either side, being able to hear noises from next door made us feel quite uncomfortable. The front desk claimed no other rooms were available for a change, and since any replacement room would likely have the same issue, we just gave up and lived with it. Second, regarding the deposit refund upon check-out: 1. The male staff member at the check-out counter failed to proactively inform us when the deposit would be refunded. 2. Feeling a bit uneasy about this, I went back to ask and was told it would be returned via the original payment method around 2:00 or 3:00 PM. 3. Just as my family and I had dragged our luggage out of the hotel and turned the corner onto the street, we received a refund notification, but only half of the 600 MOP deposit for the two rooms had been returned. It felt odd, but since we had a tight schedule, we decided to wait a bit longer. 4. By the time we reached the airport and prepared to clear immigration, the remaining deposit still hadn't been refunded, so I contacted the hotel via Trip.com's customer service. While the female phone agent wasn't rude and had a pleasant voice, she interrupted my statement multiple times. They really need to strengthen staff training so that agents learn to listen to customers first and improve their communication etiquette. What should have been a simple matter—forgetting to refund the deposit for the second room would inevitably result in a reconciliation discrepancy or the customer noticing the issue eventually—required me to firmly say ”Let me finish speaking” twice before we could continue communicating. The rest of the deposit was refunded promptly, but the communication process was exhausting!

The hotel is a bit old, so the facilities feel a bit dated, but the cleaning lady was very enthusiastic, and the linens were clean. There's renovation work going on in the building, so it was noisy. The absolute best thing about this place is its location. It's perfect for anyone looking to do a deep dive into Macau's casinos. Wynn and StarWorld casinos are right across the street, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the old and new Grand Lisboa. After clearing customs at Gongbei Port, you can take the free shuttle bus from Wynn or StarWorld directly here. I'll definitely stay here again next time, and I'm sure by then the renovations will be finished and the room facilities improved.
