Our trip was perfect. Although it was our first time at Xihu Resort, the entire stay was incredibly comfortable. Now we have a clear idea of what we look for in a hotel: comfort is paramount. For vacations, we prefer resort-style hotels with spacious rooms, a garden, complete basic facilities, and architecture that harmonizes with the local customs, both inside and out. Secondly, the hotel's 'software' is excellent – the staff are friendly, polite, attentive, and proactive. They greet guests, offer directions, help with luggage, and open doors without being asked, so you don't have to worry about basic services at all. A rich breakfast is also a key consideration for us; at resort hotels, we usually dine in and then can return to the room to relax before heading out again. My husband and I travel as a couple; it's a family trip but not with children. To be honest, we avoid parent-child hotels because we fear they might be too noisy. So, I'd suggest Ctrip separate 'family' and 'parent-child' as distinct statistical categories. These are two different types of travelers.

## Environment, Location, and Painted Boat I specifically chose to stay two days before National Day to avoid the crowds, and the experience was fantastic! The hotel boasts exclusive, first-line views of West Lake, perfectly avoiding the throngs of people, making it very quiet and peaceful. The location is excellent, with a small gate near the parking lot that leads directly to Leifeng Pagoda. The best part is that Wang Zhuang has its own private pier and a painted boat (258 RMB/person + 15% service charge, free for children under 6). It's incredibly convenient, relaxing, and worry-free to board the boat directly from the hotel's pier for a West Lake tour! ## Room and Family-Friendly Facilities This time, I stayed in the newly renovated Building 6. The soft furnishings are aesthetically pleasing, and the living comfort is high. It's very family-friendly, with a bottle sterilizer directly provided in the room. The hotel also has robot attendants, which my little one was always thrilled to see. ## Service and Transportation The staff and butler were all incredibly kind and attentive. Since the hotel grounds are extensive, we could contact the butler anytime to arrange a shuttle for transportation to the pool or restaurant. ## Dining Experience The restaurant has a great overall ambiance with pleasant views from the windows. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety of items and tasted excellent. The lunch buffet has a special discount for hotel guests, but the quality of the dishes was relatively average, just barely passable. ## Reminder for Parents and Butler's Response The only thing to caution parents bringing fresh milk/baby food about is that the small refrigerator in the room doesn't get cold enough (around 14-16 degrees Celsius, which neither the butler nor the equipment specifically indicated). The fresh milk I stored for my child spoiled, causing him to have an upset stomach after drinking it. I only discovered the refrigerator temperature issue after measuring it with my own thermometer. However, I must commend the butler's crisis management and service attitude! Upon learning of the situation, they took full responsibility without any excuses. After confirming that my child had recovered, the butler proactively helped store all our subsequent fresh milk purchases in the hotel's standard large refrigerator and delivered them to our room every morning and evening on time. Overall, the minor flaw doesn't detract from the experience. Given the unparalleled West Lake scenery, private painted boat, and reliable service, I highly recommend this hotel for families with children.

I'm so glad I chose the Intercontinental Qiandao Lake, Shilin for this stay. Our two-day hotel trip perfectly met the vacation needs of my entire family, from the youngest to the oldest. The hotel's location and environment are superb. Although it's a bit far from the high-speed rail station, its exclusive spot on the Xianshan Peninsula allowed us to avoid the holiday crowds and enjoy a quiet vacation. We ate all our meals at the hotel for two consecutive days. The Chinese restaurant's flavors were unexpectedly delicious, and the breakfast quality at the all-day Western restaurant was also very high. Ordering noodles and coffee by scanning a QR code was a very thoughtful touch. During our meals, staff members even came to ask about our dining experience and handed out small gifts, making for a great interactive experience. The hotel offers a rich schedule of activities throughout the day, including hiking, sound therapy, and lake tours, so there's never a dull moment. Our butler, Jolie, provided attentive and thoughtful service. She patiently answered all our questions and requests, making it the best service I've ever received at a hotel. There's always a concern about staying at nature-themed hotels this season: the environment might not be very appealing. However, this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The design team had clearly considered autumn scenery from the very beginning, carefully selecting trees and even including reeds, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere under the autumn sun (actually, it's winter). Staying there and appreciating it fully evoked the feel of a Canadian or North American forest movie. Behind the hotel is a large autumn woodland where you can walk on fallen leaves in the morning – very relaxing and comfortable. And at night, the sky is filled with far more stars than just one or two, along with a full moon. The hotel staff were very welcoming, and there were even some cats, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Of course, there were some drawbacks. Not all rooms were well-maintained; some areas looked quite old, and some chairs on the balcony were dusty, which negatively impacted the experience. Hopefully, future guests will check the outdoor areas for dust before checking in. As for the issue of the condition of the rooms, I really don't know how to suggest improvements. Previous guests have mentioned the cold winter weather, but this time, they had provided heaters, which was very thoughtful. In short, the scenery and architectural design are both excellent and worth seeing, especially in autumn!

The room offers a stunning view right in the middle of the lake. Opening and closing your eyes feels like being immersed in a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. It's very quiet and suitable for both family trips and romantic getaways. The service was excellent, especially Lucy Hu, the Guest Relations Manager, who proactively helped us decorate the room and upgraded our floor. She really pays attention to the guest experience. The hotel gym is beautiful, but it lacks some prominent signs and is a bit hard to find. I suggest improving staff training on giving directions and adding larger signage (the current ones are too small to be seen easily). At check-out, the front desk even gave us a Qiandao Lake refrigerator magnet souvenir, which I absolutely loved – it was a very thoughtful touch.

I chose this hotel because of the Banyan Tree brand, but honestly, the service needs improvement. When I arrived, I had to climb some steps, and there was no bellboy to help with my luggage, even though there weren't many guests checking in at the time. During check-in, there wasn't much information provided about the hotel's services – I had to ask about everything. When I inquired about a taxi service, I was simply told to go to the concierge, and the staff member had no expression at all. On the other hand, the environment is truly amazing, especially the view from the lobby, which is super comfortable.

Front desk staff, Ms. Wang Xiao, kindly upgraded my mother's room for free. The room was spacious and bright, with a bathtub for a relaxing soak. The environment was quiet, ensuring a great night's rest. Breakfast was plentiful, and they even gave us a souvenir upon check-out. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends and family when they visit Hangzhou.

The hotel is right next to West Lake. The lobby is beautiful, and check-in is on the first floor with a great view. Alan, the concierge, proactively helped me change rooms from my original one to a new one. The service was excellent, and he even moved my luggage for me. There's a snack street nearby with a wide variety of food options. Parking is also convenient with an underground parking lot.

The hotel is close to the trailhead, which is convenient for my trail run tomorrow. The room facilities are in good condition, and the bedding is comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful. The front desk lady is very responsible and helpful; whenever my lunch/dinner vouchers weren't ready, she would accompany me to the restaurant to make sure I could dine first.
