GGuest UserTired of the city's hustle and bustle, I spent four days here with a good book, and it was a great experience. This guesthouse is tucked away in the Manjuelong mountains, offering a really healing environment with fresh air. While the room amenities might not be as new as some recently opened guesthouses, you can tell they put a lot of effort into maintaining everything. The housekeepers are dedicated and responsible, and there are even two 'cat bosses' watching over the place! I really loved it and will definitely come back again.

PPweshiThe Hilton hotel is a spacious and family friendly hotel. It is clean and well maintained with friendly staff. When you first arrive you feel welcomed and treated warmly by staff members. They are patient and offer to carry your things and help you navigate the very design of the hotel. This is not to any detriment to the hotel itself but merely a result of the many offerings it has such as a hall for hosting private functions and events, 2 restaurants and the recreational area. This was my first time staying at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and clean with a nice shower and toilet. Our room was graciously upgraded and it came with a bath tub and lake view. The two restaurants are Taste (Asian cuisine) and Eatzy café and bistro. The meals in Taste are generally delicious and packed full of flavour. We ate there twice and while it was excellent I would say it was a bit pricey. The portion sizes are decent but there are some inconsistencies with the quality. That I believe was either due to them being very busy when we revisited. The venue and decor are quite beautiful. The staff at the restaurant are very accommodating and friendly always willing to help.
There is a sauna and steam room available in the men and women's locker room for the pool area. Only the indoor pool was available at the time and it was fine though I wished the outdoor pool and bar was open. Sadly it was closed indefinitely. The hotel has some comfortable areas outside to relax around and enjoy. I also noticed little things like extra towels not available in the change room and within the 40 minutes of using the sauna, I wasn't able to ask for a new towel to shower.
There is a little beach volleyball area with white sand and shaded cabana like areas for your family and friends to sit and enjoy. Just below the hotel is a Waterpark which has many activities like wakeboarding, paddle and electric boats and more. I felt that it was far too pricey per person. As hotel guest, there should have been a discount. It seems at every turn there is a charge for little things around the hotel that makes it a bit disheartening at times.

MMengmenglvxingjiangEven though the room was small and windowless, it felt very cozy. The ventilation was good, and the bathroom and shower were spotlessly clean. The location is absolutely fantastic – right by West Lake, just a few minutes' walk away, and super close to the Broken Bridge in the main scenic area. I booked three nights and had a wonderful experience. If I ever come back to Hangzhou West Lake alone, I'll definitely stay here again.

AAnonymous UserOverall, this was a good stay with some truly special aspects, but also a few areas that could be improved.
The hotel is quite remote, which makes it feel very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature such as the lake, forest, and mountains. Even though we visited other viewpoints around Qiandao Lake, this location felt more special because of its quiet and secluded setting. The hotel itself feels like a destination, with scenic viewpoints, a garden with a lake, a cave, and even trekking trails to explore.
The garden area includes a swan lake, which is a nice idea. However, the swans are kept in a very small netted space. It does not look great visually and feels restrictive for the animals, which took away from the experience.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed that was not too soft or too hard. Sound insulation was excellent, which made for great sleep. I also requested a firmer pillow, and it was provided quickly. The lake view room upgrade was a highlight. The view was stunning and made it hard to leave the room. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend booking a lake view room. The layout was nice, with both a balcony and a window view. The thick frame dividing the view slightly affected the overall feel, but it was not a major issue. The bathtub was also a nice addition.
Cleaning was good overall. The AC did not work very well during the hot midday hours, although it was fine at other times of the day.
Facilities such as the gym, yoga room, pool, and game room were nice additions. However, they felt quite standard for a five-star hotel, and I have experienced better quality in similar properties. One great feature was the free Tesla charging, but this was not communicated at all. We only discovered it by chance, which is a missed opportunity as it is a strong benefit.
Breakfast was acceptable but not at the expected level. The coffee and bakery were the weakest parts. Ordering is done via QR code instead of in person, which felt a bit impersonal for a luxury hotel atmosphere. Service during breakfast also felt a bit off, as staff seemed focused on their tasks and were not very proactive in guiding or prioritizing guests, which made the experience feel less warm and not the kindest.
Service was generally kind and friendly, but inconsistent at times. Some staff could benefit from additional training, as not everyone followed typical five-star service standards such as greeting guests or offering priority.
Another disappointment was the welcome fruit, which was included in our package but not provided on arrival. After we asked, a staff member came carrying items for multiple rooms in a bag and handed us just one apple and one peach. This felt unprofessional although something very small.
Another point worth noting is that the hotel was originally booked as an InterContinental, but about 1-2 weeks before arrival it was no longer part of the brand (somehow on Trip.com it still says intercontinental). Not sure if this impacted the experience, but overall it did feel slightly below what you might expect from that level, even though the stay itself was still enjoyable.
The hotel also offers free Tesla charging, which is a great feature. However, this was not communicated at all during or before our stay, and we only discovered it by chance. This feels like a missed opportunity, as it is a strong benefit that could add significant value for guests
I did not try lunch or dinner, so I cannot comment on those.
Overall, this is a very peaceful and unique stay with amazing natural surroundings and a beautiful lake view. However, some service and operational details need improvement to truly match a luxury standard.

I booked an Executive Suite for three nights for 2532 RMB, and the price wasn't affected by the Chinese New Year surge. The room type is excellent, at 75 square meters, with functional divisions. It's even more convenient and well-equipped than a regular hotel, providing things that make a longer stay easier. My son had plenty of space to move around, and our hygiene habits are good, so the housekeeping staff always remembered to close the door quickly after cleaning to prevent our pet from getting out. 😊😊😊 I would definitely consider staying here again.

GGuest UserWhat a gem of a hotel! The environment is quiet and perfect for relaxation. The toiletries are high quality, not cheap stuff. The bathroom's wet and dry separation is excellent. There are USB ports by the bed, so no worries if you forget your charger. Absolutely impeccable, every detail is thoughtful, and it was definitely worth the trip. The views are also amazing, with Jinsha Lake right across from the hotel. You can enjoy the scenery from the 6th-floor terrace~

JJoelbastedoThis small resort is lovely, and the room we stayed in, “Pink Paradise” was great for the kids. The swimming pool was a bit small and the water level was quite low, but the staff explained it was deliberately left low because a lot of rain was coming (and indeed it started pouring the next day). Still, the friendly staff filled it up a bit for us. They also set up a poolside table for us, and basically accommodated all of our requests and made our weekend a wonderful experience. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned as well and the food was amazing.

Ttititi❤️This time I stayed by West Lake in Hangzhou. I knew the Grand Hyatt was old, but I only realized how truly dated it was upon arrival. I booked a Club room, and at check-in, I paid an extra 291 (RMB) to upgrade to a Lake View Club Twin room. Once in the room, I found it incredibly small; it felt like there wasn't enough space for two suitcases. The two 1.1-meter beds weren't big enough for me and my child, so we had to push them together. However, the bed frames couldn't be moved, only the mattresses were joined.
Here's a heads-up: there's no need to book a Club room. The breakfast selection at the executive lounge is very limited and quite unappetizing. It was my first time having congee that was burnt at the bottom of the clay pot. I mentioned it to the kitchen staff, but I'm not sure if they ever changed it. The hot dishes for dinner were decent, albeit few in number, but the taste was alright. If you want a lake view, just book a Lake View room with breakfast.
Also, the hotel floors are low, and there's a single-story building in front that partially obstructs the view (see picture). It's very close to West Lake – just downstairs – but the traffic is terrible, so you can only walk out. On the plus side, the location is excellent; Intime In77 is right next door, and the subway station is also nearby.
When booking through Ctrip, a guest relations officer will contact you in advance, and you can tell them if you have any issues during your stay. Although, it didn't seem to be very helpful anyway. 😂 All in all, spending almost 3000 RMB a night during the May Day holiday here truly felt like I overpaid.
