A very respectable hostel. Although location may not be the best, it is still acceptable and easily accessible. Didi rides between hostel and Hubin is less than CNY20. Service was excellent. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Owner and staff are very welcoming and will share travel suggestions when we asked. Breakfast aunty has the brightest smile and delivers very local breakfast set that can be refilled upon request. We took their suggestions and had a leisure walk from the hostel passing by Taiziwan park before reaching West Lake Su Causeway to start our West Lake tour.

This small hotel is located about 800 metres from the Lingying Temple in Hangzhou which makes it an easy walk. There are manr restaurants nearby with a variety of food options. The hotel staff were polite and friendly even though they spoke little English. The rooms were clean and very tastefully decorated. The quality of the toiletries was excellent. The only downside for me was a standard chinese breakfast with no options to choose from. I would stay there again

The room is nice. The boss lady is from Northeast China. She is very friendly and the service is very good. My family is very happy staying here. I came to Hangzhou with my parents. The West Lake is beautiful and Lingyin Temple is also very close. There are many restaurants around and it is convenient to go anywhere.

I had a lovely stay at this home stay. The owner was the friendliest host who went out of her way to help me. Although I could not speak Chinese, we could communicate through the translator app. She did my laundry free of charge and when it came to leave, booked me a taxi to the train station. I struggled to pay for the ride as I couldn’t pay in cash and my app was not working. She paid the taxi and did not want payment as she said we were now friends. Her kind and helpful gestures will always be remembered.

During the Spring Festival, the best choice for children to go to the zoo is to find a hotel nearby. This kind of homestay is really convenient. Although the room is not big, it is very warm. The hotel has a unique style and even has a small courtyard pond. It's a pity that the hotel does not provide meals, otherwise it would be interesting to drink wine and tea in the courtyard.

We love how the homestay was situated in a quiet and pretty tree-lined neighbourhood with a 15 mins walk to the edge of west lake. We booked the tatami room. Room was clean and tidy, and the tv comes with many Chinese channels. The owner was very approachable and attended to our needs and frequently gave us travel tips. When night falls, it may be a bit hard to find eateries around.

The hotel stay was really nice. It has a Japanese home deco. The location is excellent if you would like to stay in the middle of nature, away from the busy roads and city. Most importantly the staff is extremely helpful and thoughtful. They would go the extra mile to deliver on hospitality despite having language barriers, they were extremely patient and helpful. Really felt like I was living in a friendly home.

Our stay has been nothing short of amazing! The team at the guesthouse is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every detail of our stay was taken care of. Service: I have stayed in quite a few homestays in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. This homestay has two services that make me feel that they are thinking about the guests.
One is the free luggage delivery for round trips. You can go directly to the homestay from any station/airport. This will invisibly extend the available travel time, especially for weekend trips.
Another is that they will notify you of the silent time at night, telling you not to make loud noises. It may be because I have stayed in a well-known chain hotel before and had a party on the entire floor until midnight without anyone stopping me. This notification is more thoughtful to me than any good night dessert.
Environment: Manjuelong is a scenic spot in itself. It has its own beauty on sunny and rainy days. The tour route provided by the housekeeper Xiao Yang once again saved us time. We don’t need to take the bus to Longjing Village. We can go up the mountain directly to enjoy the panoramic view of the soup house and the tea garden.
Facilities: Although the room is not big, it has everything it should have. The purifier is also turned on in advance. I didn’t expect to be attracted by the shampoo and conditioner set and osmanthus Longjing tea bags. I hope to have the opportunity to come again when the osmanthus blooms.

AAnonymous UserBeyond the hustle and bustle of Hangzhou, the Bai Long Tan Scenic Area and Xishan National Forest Park are truly gifts from nature! Not only do they offer lush mountains and clear waters, but also a stunning series of waterfalls, where you can experience the grandeur of “water flowing down three thousand feet.” Especially after rain, the waterfalls sparkle like crystal under the sunlight, and the spring water is cool and sweet—perfect for bringing back to Guanshan Guesthouse to brew a cup of tea. Walking across the suspension bridge and overlooking Qinglongtan, the misty atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale.
This is also a great place for family interaction and relaxation! Children can get up close to raccoons and peacocks, and the daily peacock release at 10:30 and 13:30 is truly breathtaking as the peacocks descend from the sky. You can also interact with the shy yet curious parrots, feeding them by hand and experiencing the wonders of nature.
Additionally, the peacock release performance happens at 10:30 and 13:30 daily—don't miss it! There is a coffee and tea shop within the park, and nearby Longmenkan Village offers authentic local cuisine. If you have time, the Guangming Temple Reservoir and Shangchengdai Village are also worth visiting, making it a perfect day trip. Here, you can escape the city's noise, get closer to nature, and relax with your family.

VVialaZI went on a weekend trip to Hangzhou with my friends. Every time I stayed at Manjuelong Jianxiang. The location of the B&B is very good. The room is quiet and the view outside the window is amazing! You can hike to various check-in spots on the way up the mountain. There are many small shops along the way down the mountain. You can go shopping and take a walk. In particular, you must eat Guiyu's Pianerchuan. It's really delicious!

TThe_QThe most satisfying choice for me to come to Hangzhou during the Osmanthus season this time is to stay at Nanfeng Xiaolu, with its Chinese-style garden + old-money style design. All B&Bs should follow this standard! The location is also good, away from the traffic and crowds, making it uniquely quiet and elegant. The hotel provides attentive butler-style service. Breakfast is selected from Chinese and Western packages and delivered to the room on time. The view is also excellent, you can overlook the tea gardens in the distance and the air is pleasant. There are few rooms but a large area, and the facilities and equipment reveal their thoughtfulness. It was a perfect stay experience and will be my best choice when visiting Longjing or Manjuelong in the future! Next door is the premier internet celebrity cafe, so check out other room types next time you come! Super five-star recommendation! ! !

SStevenThis is a fantastic spot for a few days away. I do not speak very much Chinese and relied on my local friend to really help out with the finer details. The hotel and staff were super helpful and very welcoming.
Check in was quick and all COVID details, passport and visa info was quickly taken note of. We were given the keys to our room on the fifth floor. What a view out across the mountains where we could watch the sunset from a huge bath tub! The room itself was super clean and had everything you would want....Large TV (we brought our own HDMI cable and movies). There was a kettle for tea but no coffee.....I forgot to pack it!
Food in the hotel was of a high standard and they even made sure to check if there was anything I would prefer not to eat. Beers were available or wine but nothing else that I could see.
The Host gave us excellent advice for our hike in the Tianmushan mountain and forest the next day. We had thought we may be back in time but ended up taking a long route over 11k ... in blistering heat! It was worth it.
As the only Westerner in the hotel for two days I felt very welcome and comfortable. I can highly recommend Tianmushan Chengjing Homestay and will hopefully stay there again maybe in winter time.

JJennifer LeighThis hotel was perfectly fine and in a great location for visiting the tea terraces. I would NOT recommend staying here during a holiday, unless you are ONLY going to visit the tea areas. Transportation to and from the hotel into the city was a nightmare, with long waits on both ends for a car. So, non-holiday times, or visiting the tea locations, I would highly recommend this no-frills location. Breakfast was good; traditional Chinese. And there were other restaurants in the area. It's a cute place and I'm sure very peaceful most of the year. The staff does not speak much English but were very helpful to us foreigners.

This time I took my parents and a year-old and a half of my children to travel with my parents. I have chosen this loft room type for a long time. It can be said that it is perfect. The floor bed upstairs is too friendly to the children. The room is very large. It is suitable for family travel. It is no problem to live in three big and one small. The fragrance likes the smart toilet. Clean and tidy, high safety factor
Downstairs is the street but it is not noisy at all. It is very convenient to eat and drink in the coffee shop downstairs. It is very convenient to go out in Hefang Street. It is very convenient to go to the Drum Tower. But if you are going to play West Lake, it is recommended to go in the morning and start to get a taxi in the afternoon. The driver refuses to load. (Because it's not too far back here)
It is worth mentioning that the front desk brother is very, very enthusiastic and professional. It makes people feel like a spring breeze. I have given a lot of help. The attitude is so good that it makes people sweep the journey tired.
I have already recommended it to my friends. I will stay here next time.

GGuest UserWe LOVED our stay here; we were so happy with our choice in hotel 🙌 Jason, the owner, went above and beyond for us every moment he could. He was so quick to offer assistance, anticipating our every need, and of course any little thing we asked about he was happy to help with. Despite a language barrier, communication was great. Thank you so much for everything! And besides amazing service, the location is perfection and the rooms were comfortable, clean, well decorated, and most importantly look out onto a gorgeous little section of the lake! The hotel is located equidistant from Qiandaohu and Jiande railway station, nearby enough to the main town (as well as the beer ”town”), but separated enough to feel isolated, with its own little cove. The views are fantastic and kayaking, swimming, fishing, etc. is right at your doorstep. Food is good too 👌 Jason can also help you arrange transportation if you don't have your own. We really enjoyed our short stay here, and one of us even extended their stay because they couldn't bare to go back to the city so soon 😜 Definitely the perfect hideout for a relaxing weekend. Highly recommend, especially for foreigners looking for a slightly more budget option on the lake 💯

MMattStray Clouds Villa is a fantastic place to stay in Jiande, especially for those looking to take a break from city life and enjoy some time in the countryside. The owner of the hotel lives in Singapore, but handles registration for foreigners remotely. The three women who work at the hotel are lovely and make sure that each guest is treated with the same generous hospitality. My only suggestion for foreign passport holders looking to stay here is to establish contact with the owner in advance by adding his WeChat (same as the hotel's phone number) to share documents required for registration at the local police station including passport information page, current Chinese visa, most recent entry stamp, residential address in China, and phone number. This will decrease the time needed for check-in.
The hotel itself was spectacularly clean and the rooms were spacious. The hotel is just minutes away by foot from Tuanyun Pagoda (抟云塔) and Wenchang Pavilion (文昌阁), two of Xinye Ancient's Village (新叶古村) most recognizable landmarks. The nearest bullet train station in Lanxi, Jinhua is currently closed, so it's best to take a bullet train into Jiande Station (建德站) followed by a 70-90 minute Didi directly to the hotel.
Highly recommended for a weekend getaway!

AAlanPositives: On arrival, the bedroom was nice and clean, althought it is smaller than it seems on pictures, but still very cozy! Negatives: 1. NO WIFI FOR FOREIGNERS unless you have a CHINESE PHONE NUMBER!!!! No one told us this so we couldn't get wifi access at all. We told this to the hotel manager but they replied ”you need a chnese number, there is nothing I can do” so we didn't have wifi during our whole stay. 2. The service was pretty much non-existent. All we did was check-in with the front desk guy (who is probbly the owner but I can;'t be sure), he agve us the key and that's it. There is no cleaning service during the mornig while you're out, meaning garbage from the first day will stay with you in the room until the day you check out, and you also don't get clean fresh towels, you need to reuse the one you got the first day until you leave. which at least dring winter is not ideal as the towels never get completely dry so you are reusing the same wet cold towel after showering over and over again. It gets quite cold in the room at night so keep that in mind too if you travek during the colder months. 3. There is a washing machine in the hotel (ask themanager to show you to it) but no dryer, meanign if you wash clothes you have to hang them somehow in your room and hope they get dry before you check out. 4. There was a huge bottle of shampoo and a huge bottle of shower gel in the shower but they were both empty. You would have to ask the manager to give you these 2 basic toiletries.

GGuest UserVery satisfied with the stay. Came to Hangzhou with friends. This loft is very suitable for us. There is a bathroom on the upper floor and one on the lower floor. It is much better than those chain brands. The area is also large. The layout is very thoughtful. I will come again next time I visit.
