"The owner made our Hangzhou trip memorable the moment we stepped in the homestay. Asked if they could help order us halal food as we were to tired to roam around. Since halal food is not available online, they let us borrow their e-bikes and brought us to the nearest halal restaurant, and also eat together with us!
We had some other issues and the owner will always help. Language doesn’t seems to be a big issue here. Room is clean, owner upgraded our room to the creek view’s room. Kudo’s to both owner and the girl who manage the counter. Would love to come again if i ever go to Hangzhou West Lake"

"It is very nice and clean! “ah yi” (the host) was very friendly and quick to recommend actual nice local restaurants and spots for us to visit! The stay was great, cozy and we really felt like home! Would definitely come again!
P.s. just to note if u have bad knees prepare yourself to climb stairs here hahaha🥹overall for us it was one of our best stays!"

"Stayed at this place for 2 nights. It was situated outskirt, going to the city center is quite a distance away. Places of interest like the Yeh Fei temple n Quyuanfenghe (Breeze-Rustled Lotus In Quyuan Garden) is about 2 - 3 km away, there w as no nearby metro station. It's either you walked or had to go by grab.
The owner and wife were very helpful. As there was no elevator, the owner lend a helping hands by carrying our luggage bag to our rooms which were located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The simple 2 beds room was quite small and the toilet floor was always wet and gave a bad odor of urine smell. The owner and wife cleaned up the toilet the next day but the problem was not solved, however it's a good place to stay for a few days if you like a quiet environment but if you like shopping, then it's not convenient,"

"Love this home stay, in a magical village, with great tea plantations views and peaceful atmosphere. The room and property is clean, the staff is just lovely, welcoming and caring with beautiful lady owner, who is an artist and you can see her drawings in the cafe. Auntie made a great sandwiches for breakfast, sister in reception made a great coffee and they all took such a good care of us. There is so much to do in the surrounding, you are in prime tourist location, surrounded by nature and with peaceful and private feeling. Would definitely stay again 🥰🫶"

"Another satisfied stay on my trip. I always feel chill and relax whenever I’m back to the room. The room is clean and nice, and there is a cute little garden out there, sitting there doing nothing really calm me down.
The lady boss and staff are really helpful and they help us with our luggage when we reached. They also provide simple yet delicious breakfast, and you can enjoy this delicious breakfast in the little garden, enjoying the fresh air there.
There is a nice restaurant nearby serving delicious food, we really love it. This Airbnb is located within 西湖 area, so it’s quite close to all the tourist spot. Overall my parents and I were very satisfied with our stay here. And will definitely come back or share with our friends if they are visiting Hangzhou soon."

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this bnb! The location is perfect, just a short distance from the Hangzhou Botanical Garden, making it a peaceful and scenic spot. The room was impeccably clean, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. As someone who is very sensitive to noise, I slept like a log every single night!
The host, the owner lady, was incredibly warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. When I caught a cold during my trip, she not only went out to buy medicine for me but also gave me extra supplies to help me recover. Her kindness and thoughtfulness were truly heartwarming. She upgraded my room without me asking!
Despite the language barrier (I don’t speak Mandarin), she made every effort to communicate and ensure I had everything I needed. Her hospitality made my stay in Hangzhou truly delightful and memorable.
The convenience of having a bus right outside the complex was also a huge plus, making it easy to explore the city.
I cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, and welcoming place to stay in Hangzhou, this is it. Thank you so much to the host for making my trip so special—I will definitely be back! 😊

The staff was incredibly attentive, and everything in the hotel is carefully thought out down to the smallest detail. They’re always available for anything you might need. The linen supplies are configured according to the standard of high-star hotels. "One of the best B&B(民宿) we have ever stayed. The girls are super friendly and helpful and they went extra miles in helping us, provind pleasant experiences. Breakfast is freshly made by the staff every morning with different dishes offered each day. The most amazing points are the location is simply perfect, quiet and walking distance to the West lake scenic area. You can also easily go hiking on the tea plantation around the area. The internet speed is good because we are working remotely, internet speed is important for us. We would come again next time if we visit Hangzhou. Highly recommend this place."

SSusanEle Jane is in a very good and convenient location. Very close to the Longjing Tea village and in a natural environment. It is like staying in the forest within the city, which is a short DiDi ride away. DiDi’s were easy to hail and we never had to wait long. Our room was upgraded at no cost on arrival. We arrived early and left our luggage at the hotel to go explore the area. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us very good advice on what the area offers. We connected on WeChat and they were fairly eager to try to communicate in English too despite the language barrier, we appreciate their efforts. They provided us with an English tourist map of the area and advised us on the bus routes etc. As can be seen in the photos the room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was healthy and enjoyable. Limited options but nice. Two suggestions. Provide your foreign guests with the hotel’s location pin and DiDi address. We found it challenging to find the hotel’s address in the DiDi app when we arrived at Hangzhoudong railway station (about 15km away from the hotel.) Once my husband’s DiDi got lost and he was dropped off at an entirely different address. Another suggestion. We stayed two nights and the room was not made up the second day. We were a bit disappointed as it is the first hotel we stayed at that did not provide this cleaning service. We were also disappointed that the swimming pool and hot tub was under maintenance because that was one of the reasons why we booked the hotel in Trip.com. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay. Another bonus was that the beds were comfortable and soft. The hotel is also pet friendly. Not a lot of activities offered for families with small kids, but is is close enough to many other attractions.

AAnonymous UserBeyond the hustle and bustle of Hangzhou, the Bai Long Tan Scenic Area and Xishan National Forest Park are truly gifts from nature! Not only do they offer lush mountains and clear waters, but also a stunning series of waterfalls, where you can experience the grandeur of “water flowing down three thousand feet.” Especially after rain, the waterfalls sparkle like crystal under the sunlight, and the spring water is cool and sweet—perfect for bringing back to Guanshan Guesthouse to brew a cup of tea. Walking across the suspension bridge and overlooking Qinglongtan, the misty atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale.
This is also a great place for family interaction and relaxation! Children can get up close to raccoons and peacocks, and the daily peacock release at 10:30 and 13:30 is truly breathtaking as the peacocks descend from the sky. You can also interact with the shy yet curious parrots, feeding them by hand and experiencing the wonders of nature.

I would NOT recommend staying here during a holiday, unless you are ONLY going to visit the tea areas. Transportation to and from the hotel into the city was a nightmare, with long waits on both ends for a car. So, non-holiday times, or visiting the tea locations, I would highly recommend this no-frills location. Breakfast was good; traditional Chinese. And there were other restaurants in the area. It's a cute place and I'm sure very peaceful most of the year. The staff does not speak much English but were very helpful to us foreigners.

I have always wanted to take my puppy on a spontaneous trip, and finally this year I realized it. Since it was a self-driving tour and it was my first time to take it on a long trip, I had no experience. After repeated consideration, I decided to practice in nearby cities first, and finally chose Hangzhou.
It took a lot of time to plan a self-driving tour route, search for pet-friendly attractions, and pet-friendly hotels. During the search, I found that the hotels around pet-friendly attractions did not allow pets to stay. Otherwise, the attractions around pet-friendly hotels did not allow pets to stay (and the hotel charges were so high). I thought that this trip could not be carried out, and then ”Hangzhou Guiju Inn” came into my sight.
The inn is really good news for pet lovers. Pets are allowed to stay at a reasonable price. The most important thing is that pets are not required to enter the room. It is extremely friendly, a real angel inn. There are also free attractions around that pets can enter. It is perfect.

The inn is located at Siyanjing, Hupao Road. It is surrounded by green trees and has a beautiful and comfortable environment. It is close to the West Lake Scenic Area, Su Causeway Park and Hangzhou Zoo, which are convenient for travel. Because the roads are wide and surrounded by green trees, there are many fitness people who run and ride road races. In the evening, I took my child to Su Causeway Park (about 2 kilometers away). It only took 8 minutes to ride a shared bicycle, and the return walk was within 30 minutes. It is very suitable for a walk after a meal.

The outdoor temperature in Hangzhou in July has reached more than 30 degrees. Transportation: No. 45, Siyanjing, Hupao Road, Xihu District. We provide taxi and airport pick-up services. If you drive by yourself, there is a public parking lot opposite the inn. The parking fee ranges from 20 to 25 yuan per day. Remember to ask the store for a parking ticket to get this price. I will not say who is being cheated, it is all tears. The inn is about 100 meters away from the road, so it is very convenient to take a taxi. If you want to experience public transportation, you may have to run a few steps;
Food: There are two small restaurants (Wangyuan Lakeside Restaurant and No. 9 Kitchen) at the entrance to the inn. There are also two restaurants opposite, Qingtao and Yinshang. If you want to eat Hangzhou specialties, you can take a taxi to Grandma's House near West Lake, which only takes 20 minutes. I didn't notice any supermarkets.
Price: Here comes the point. Compared with the surrounding hotels that cost thousands or hundreds of yuan (express hotels are cheap but the rooms are really not good), the quality is guaranteed and the charges are reasonable even in the peak tourist season. When I went there, I got a special room for more than 200 yuan. Can you believe it? It is located near the West Lake and you can bring your pet to stay (big pet 50 yuan/day, small pet 30 yuan/day). You will definitely make a profit if you can stay in this hotel.
Ps: I planned to stay for 3 days and 2 nights, but because I had no experience in booking a room, I forgot to book 1 night. When I found out that the original room I booked was not extended, I had to book another room. When I communicated the arrival time, the store told me that the 2 nights had been combined and the room was upgraded. Before check-in, the store was thoughtful and turned on the air conditioner in advance. Don’t say it, I’m so touched; 🥹💖

1. The breakfast is average, and there are many people in the comment area who give feedback. Not only is there a small variety, but the quality is also average. 2. The minibar contains 2 bottles of Evian, and the drinking water is a simple Nongfu Spring. The grade is too ordinary and cannot compare with other slightly lower-priced B&Bs.

The location is very convenient, the staff wants to help, the common room is big and very nice; there’s a balcony; there’s a room only for toilets and another one only for showers (women and men separated, so four in total), so I didn’t have to wait to pee or to take my shower; and soap and shampoo are given. (But bring your flip flops!)
And the room! I was with three other people but it didn’t feel crowded, there’s more than enough space to put the luggage (and it’s easily accessible), to access the upper berth we use stairs instead of a ladder (which is safer and more convenient), the bed wasn’t hard, the curtains effectively block any light, etc. Needless to say that I had a great sleep!
Negative points: hard to find the hostel (so maybe don’t arrive too late because you won’t be able to ask people for directions), no fridge and no umbrellas. The most negative point in my opinion is the lack of ventilation in the showers, it felt like the Amazonian jungle each time I entered the room. But the positive points definitely outweigh the negative ones. I definitely recommend this hostel!

AAlanPositives: On arrival, the bedroom was nice and clean, althought it is smaller than it seems on pictures, but still very cozy! Negatives: 1. NO WIFI FOR FOREIGNERS unless you have a CHINESE PHONE NUMBER!!!! No one told us this so we couldn't get wifi access at all. We told this to the hotel manager but they replied ”you need a chnese number, there is nothing I can do” so we didn't have wifi during our whole stay. 2. The service was pretty much non-existent. All we did was check-in with the front desk guy (who is probbly the owner but I can;'t be sure), he agve us the key and that's it. There is no cleaning service during the mornig while you're out, meaning garbage from the first day will stay with you in the room until the day you check out, and you also don't get clean fresh towels, you need to reuse the one you got the first day until you leave. which at least dring winter is not ideal as the towels never get completely dry so you are reusing the same wet cold towel after showering over and over again. It gets quite cold in the room at night so keep that in mind too if you travek during the colder months. 3. There is a washing machine in the hotel (ask themanager to show you to it) but no dryer, meanign if you wash clothes you have to hang them somehow in your room and hope they get dry before you check out. 4. There was a huge bottle of shampoo and a huge bottle of shower gel in the shower but they were both empty. You would have to ask the manager to give you these 2 basic toiletries.
