"This is our third time staying at the Metropark. The hotel is conveniently located, very close to the subway station and West Lake scenic area. We booked a pre-sale package this time, which was excellent value for money. The front desk staff were very polite, and we were able to extend our check-out to 2 PM. Our room was spotless, and there were welcome fruits. In the evening, they even offered tremella soup. It happened to be my birthday during our stay, and the hotel surprised me with a birthday cake, which was a really thoughtful touch. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the service center was always responsive to our requests."

"Environment: The hotel is right by West Lake, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Across from the hotel is the Hangzhou Nursery, which I personally feel has even better greenery than the West Lake Scenic Area, and it's less crowded.
Facilities: The facilities are very comprehensive. Not only is the decor new and all the appliances are available, but they even offer two types of hangers – wooden and silk – showing great attention to detail.
Service: All the butlers were excellent, young, pretty, and very attentive. My friends and I stayed for a week, and they were always available, responding quickly to messages.
Just a small suggestion: The cleaning staff (aunties and uncles) were a bit loud talking downstairs in the mornings, which slightly affected the experience. Perhaps this could be feedback to the housekeeping department.
Finally, I wish your company continued success and all your employees a smooth life without encountering difficult guests.
At this price point, this environment is truly worth it!"

"Even though I saw some reviews online mentioning the facilities were old, I decided to take a chance and book it anyway. To my surprise, my stay was fantastic! The room was spotless, and not nearly as old as some reviews suggested. The walls and bathroom were very clean with no strange odors. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – making for a very comfortable sleep. The hotel reception staff were also great. The location is excellent too; it's very close to the subway station and within walking distance of Hefang Street and Wuliu Lane. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, including Laotou Youbao Xia and Fang Laoda, which are also not far. The hotel breakfast was very rich and varied. If I get the chance to visit Hangzhou again, I'll most likely choose this place."

AAnonymous UserOverall, I'm very satisfied, and it's pretty much the same great experience as a few years ago. It truly lives up to its reputation as 'the number one garden in West Lake.' The pavilions, waterside corridors, and scenic spots at every turn make strolling through the grounds incredibly pleasant. Plus, you get to enjoy a quiet stretch of the lakeshore all to yourself, away from the crowds of the main West Lake scenic area.
The service was also very thoughtful. The front desk and concierge were responsive and efficient, the park's electric shuttle service was convenient, and the turndown service was a nice touch. The room's cleanliness and facilities were well-maintained, the bedding was comfortable, and the toiletries felt luxurious, making for a very reassuring stay.
The location is also fantastic. You can walk to Su Causeway and Viewing Fish at Flower Pond, offering both tranquility and excellent accessibility.

GGuest UserPros: Jojo, our butler, provided excellent service, and the travel photography was great – the photographer was very dedicated.
Cons:
1. Breakfast options were limited, and items were frequently missing. The coffee machine was terrible, producing a watery, tasteless drink.
2. The paid activities, especially the boat tour and farm visit, were very poor quality. An older staff member had a bad attitude and kept rushing us, saying other guests were waiting. Including the walk to the vegetable garden, we only spent about 15 minutes picking. For the boat tour, we had to insist just to get a short drift on the lake; initially, they claimed it was too windy to paddle. It was a really frustrating experience.
Overall, apart from the butler, the service from other staff members was very mediocre. I've also seen complaints on social media about their lacking 'soft services.' I'd suggest they learn from Naked Group; I've visited Naked Castle and Naked Retreats several times, and their complimentary services are consistently high-quality, with exceptionally enthusiastic staff.

GGuest UserAlthough it is a four-star hotel, I feel that it is not much different from a five-star hotel, and the breakfast is also good. I feel that the service is particularly good. Because of the need, I asked for delayed check-out twice, and they agreed very quickly. In addition, the front desk waiters, one is Xiao Lu and the other is Xiao Wei, took the initiative to greet me when I returned to the hotel in the middle, asked me if I applied for delay, and updated my room card.

YYabowangmiThe hotel's location is excellent. Wulin Night Market is right outside, offering a variety of snacks until late into the night. You can walk through the night market directly to West Lake, which was incredibly convenient during the May Day holiday when West Lake was crowded. The check-in process was busy, but front desk staff Susan and Suzy were very efficient, and the duty manager Louis was incredibly patient. Everything was handled very smoothly. The breakfast restaurant in the lobby on the first floor is a bit small, so there's a wait during peak hours, but the food selection is quite extensive. Xenia Doris provided wonderfully attentive service. The lake view rooms offer direct views of West Lake, and the rooms were kept quite clean. Although it's an older hotel, the room facilities are still good. For visiting West Lake in Hangzhou, choosing this hotel is definitely a good option.

GGuest UserI was really happy with the room; it was large and beautifully decorated. It really lives up to the Banyan Tree name. I stayed at the Banyan Tree Shanghai a few years ago, and for a similar price, all you really got was a Bund view. The size of the room, the sophisticated feel, and the resort-like atmosphere there can't compare to Xixi. Here, there are two huge lakeside terraces, and the ducks and fish are smart – they'll come right up to you for food. The room itself was incredible, my parents couldn't even find me! The bathroom was also massive, though I wasn't a fan of the scent of the toiletries; it was a bit cloying. The hotel's exterior is stunning both day and night, definitely worth exploring. You can walk all the way to the Ambassador Suite area to get a closer look at the water. It's actually part of the Xixi Wetland, so you can catch a glimpse of the wetland's wild side. The hotel golf cart can take you to the free section of Xixi Wetland outside the main gate, and after you've explored, you can contact the hotel to pick you up again. Every single staff member at the hotel was warm and attentive.

XXiaolubuhuisheyingThe hotel's design is truly exceptional, and the environment is stunning. Both the outermost 'Nine-Bend Cascading Waterfall' open-air atrium and the lobby's suspended ceiling walkway were absolute highlights for me. The staff are very service-oriented and pay attention to detail, which I really appreciate.
Now, for a couple of points I think could be improved: breakfast and room cleanliness. I've stayed at another property from the same group, Xiaoyao Manor, and the breakfast here was significantly inferior in terms of both variety and taste. As for room cleanliness, I found some dirt at the bottom of a glass and quite a few ants in the room, which seemed to appear out of nowhere.
Overall, my impression is that the hotel has fantastic design, a beautiful setting by Xiang Lake, and excellent staff. However, the breakfast doesn't quite match up, and there are some details in room cleanliness that need improvement.

Ttititi❤️This time I stayed by West Lake in Hangzhou. I knew the Grand Hyatt was old, but I only realized how truly dated it was upon arrival. I booked a Club room, and at check-in, I paid an extra 291 (RMB) to upgrade to a Lake View Club Twin room. Once in the room, I found it incredibly small; it felt like there wasn't enough space for two suitcases. The two 1.1-meter beds weren't big enough for me and my child, so we had to push them together. However, the bed frames couldn't be moved, only the mattresses were joined.
Here's a heads-up: there's no need to book a Club room. The breakfast selection at the executive lounge is very limited and quite unappetizing. It was my first time having congee that was burnt at the bottom of the clay pot. I mentioned it to the kitchen staff, but I'm not sure if they ever changed it. The hot dishes for dinner were decent, albeit few in number, but the taste was alright. If you want a lake view, just book a Lake View room with breakfast.
Also, the hotel floors are low, and there's a single-story building in front that partially obstructs the view (see picture). It's very close to West Lake – just downstairs – but the traffic is terrible, so you can only walk out. On the plus side, the location is excellent; Intime In77 is right next door, and the subway station is also nearby.
When booking through Ctrip, a guest relations officer will contact you in advance, and you can tell them if you have any issues during your stay. Although, it didn't seem to be very helpful anyway. 😂 All in all, spending almost 3000 RMB a night during the May Day holiday here truly felt like I overpaid.

LLqiu.The environment is great, and the bedding is very comfortable. The front desk at the executive lounge upgraded me to a river view room. Their afternoon tea is served as a set menu, and the desserts are delicious. The view is absolutely stunning, you can see both the river and Qianjiang New City. The only downside is that during peak season, check-in for afternoon arrivals might not have a room available until 4 or 5 PM. Raffles City is right downstairs, and MixC is just a ten-minute walk away.
