"The B&B boasts a beautiful environment, with a large tea plantation right outside. The facilities inside are also great, featuring smart systems for curtains and lighting. It would be even more perfect if they had smart toilets. They offered a complimentary travel photography session, and the photos taken upstairs in the lobby turned out fantastic. The complimentary coffee was also very aesthetically pleasing. The location is convenient, with the 103 bus stop right outside the community entrance. It's only two bus stops to Lingyin Temple. Since ride-sharing services are restricted, the bus was definitely more convenient."

The Redstar Culture Hotel (Hongxing Wenhua Dasha) is an elegant hotel located on the eastern section of West Lake Avenue. The hotel is within walking West Lake, Hangzhou's most popular attraction. There are a variety of beautifully-furnished rooms, some of which offer spectacular views over West Lake. Business, Eye Hospital of Zhejiang University ,executive and non-smoking floors are available. When it comes to dining, there are both Chinese and Western restaurants on the first and second floor of this Hangzhou hotel. For business travelers, the hotel has a business center and a wide selection of meeting and conference rooms.During their spare time, guests can play chess or poker, exercise in the gym, or melt away stress by getting a massage.

"It's taken me a while to write this review, but if you're visiting Hangzhou for the first time, I highly recommend this hotel. When they saw I was a solo female traveler, they upgraded me to a more spacious room. The breakfast was also very generous, and the hotel is close to the train station, making it easy to get to all the attractions by subway. I also have a strong memory of the gentleman at the entrance; he saw me approaching the hotel and immediately came down the steps to help me with my luggage, and he did the same when I left. The breakfast was indeed abundant, please forgive me for not taking many photos, but I truly recommend it!!"

Fuchun Mountain Residence Golf Resort

9.6/10
Excellent

Had a wonderful three-day, two-night stay at the Fuchun Resort, a place I've long admired. The architecture, rich in Chinese aesthetics, blends seamlessly with the natural environment of Fuyang, creating a truly harmonious feel. Hiking here was wonderfully wild and scenic. The resort's thoughtful service was evident in every detail: from the welcome greeting and the consistently helpful and responsive personal butler (Benson) before arrival, to the doorman's proactive and natural assistance with luggage, and the waitress's meticulous inquiry about dietary preferences at breakfast. All these touches reflect the hotel's high standards of service and made me feel truly respected. I even left my hat in the calligraphy class and only realized it when the instructor notified me and said it would be promptly returned to the lobby. The shuttle drivers were also very punctual, almost always available on call. The housekeeping staff were diligent and friendly. The hotel also offers a wide range of activities, and the travel photography service was particularly high quality. Fuchun Resort truly lives up to its reputation as a high-end resort. I'd love to visit again!

Hidden gem in the Fuchun Mountains, this Japanese-style hotel instantly transports you to a Kyoto garden! ✨ Every room features a private onsen with a hinoki wood tub and 24-hour flowing water. Soaking in the evening as the garden lanterns light up creates an incredibly atmospheric experience. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful, and the check-in hand-washing and bell-ringing ceremony is a delightful touch. The nine-compartment breakfast is exquisite and delicious, perfect for photos. This is absolutely my top choice for a short getaway in Hangzhou!

Overall is a pleasant stay but compared to Suzhou Hampton, the location in Hangzhou is quite far from city and do not have the AI chatbot like in Suzhou which is useful to check the status of the laundry machines.

My three-day, two-night stay was the perfect introduction to a resort-style hotel. Both the hotel's facilities and services were impeccable! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 ✅ First, let's praise the hotel's excellent location: who knew the exclusive access to Xan Shan Peninsula was such a privilege?! (Pictures 1-16 show the hotel facilities and surroundings, unedited photos) The hotel also boasts a very large garden and surrounding attractions perfect for photoshohoots. It's just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Within a few minutes' walk, you can reach Xan Shan Botanical Garden (honestly, not much to see, but there are daily parent-child activities), Lover's Gorge (great for couples to take photos), the hotel's exclusive lighthouse (Picture 7, very atmospheric), and the hotel's seasonal fruit orchard (high parent-child interaction, with different fruits available for picking in different seasons). When the weather is good, you can take many beautiful scenic photos. When it's cloudy or rainy, you can experience the unique humidity of the Jiangnan region and the fresh air provided by the lush vegetation. ✅ Next, let's talk about the hotel facilities. The hotel is divided into three buildings, A, B, and C. Building B offers the best lake views, with a complete panorama of the lake's beauty. The layout is very reasonable, with convenient connections between all areas. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The indoor and outdoor pools are regularly disinfected with chlorine balls, and the water is clear and sparkling, perfect for children to play in. The hotel also has a swim shop with affordable items, which is very convenient for guests who haven't brought all their swimming gear. Every day, the hotel has an activity schedule listing the names and locations of various parent-child activities at different times throughout the day. There's a wide variety to choose from. There's also a super large indoor children's playground, which is cleaned very, very thoroughly. I really want to thank the cleaning staff for their hard work here. ✅ Dining (Pictures 18-19) The hotel has a Chinese restaurant, a Western restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant, offering a rich and diverse selection. Set meals can also be purchased in advance on your phone. The hotel even provides a free shuttle service to nearby farmhouse restaurants (PS: the prices are very, very, very affordable, and the vegetables are freshly grown and incredibly fresh). The most commendable aspect of the dining is the complimentary breakfast buffet. The variety is incredibly extensive, and they even adjust the dishes daily to better cater to different guests' preferences. Soups, desserts, freshly squeezed juices, freshly made guokui (griddle cakes), mini-hamburgers, and more! You can also scan a QR code to order noodles and freshly made wontons. I always end up eating too much every day, darn it! ❗️They even consider the need for liquid food for infants and provide various flavors of rice cereal. In addition, whether it's the minibar in the room and the complimentary welcome drinks (Qiandao Lake beer), the incredibly seasonal, crisp, and sweet fruits, or the thoughtful turndown service, every detail showcases the hotel's humanistic care. It's truly commendable (Picture 17). ✅ The absolute most praiseworthy aspect is the high-end, meticulous, and thoughtful service staff. Special thanks to: Ada and Joey at the front desk for check-in, Connor and Cindy from concierge, and our butler Landy. As soon as we got out of the car, concierge Cindy greeted us warmly and proactively helped with our luggage, leaving a deep impression. The young man at the front desk who handled our check-in was also very enthusiastic in confirming our booking and upgraded our room for free. Throughout our stay, Connor drove us to and from nearby restaurants, the lighthouse, and Lover's Gorge. He was practically on duty all day until 10 PM, driving steadily and with a truly excellent attitude. He was super cool! Finally, and most importantly, our very, very responsible butler, Landy. She first introduced us to the locations and functions of the different venues, and informed us of the breakfast times. From the moment we added her as a friend, she consistently upheld her initial message: ”Please contact me anytime with any questions.” Whether it was day or night, she would respond and answer immediately to any query, booking vehicles, and even introducing nearby attractions and routes (with accompanying pictures for us to decide whether to visit). During our stay, there was a miscommunication during the cleaning staff's shift change. We had requested no cleaning the day before, but someone still entered the room and tidied it thoroughly. This unannounced entry made us a bit anxious when we returned to the room in the evening. Our butler immediately called us to calm us down and quickly contacted housekeeping. Soon after, we learned it was a thoughtful turndown service. We had initially considered contacting the duty manager to investigate, but we declined. This butler Landy truly, truly deserves praise. Her immediate contact and quick resolution smoothed over the issue, and left us with an extremely satisfying three-day, two-night experience. Her warm and thoughtful greetings every evening and morning made us deeply feel the hotel's excellent staff training and abundant humanistic care! 👏🏻 See you next time, Freedom Intercontinental Palace!

Finally checked into the Banyan Tree Hangzhou Xixi, which I've been longing to visit, and it was a perfect experience. Tucked away in the Xixi Wetland, with white walls and dark tiled roofs by the water, every step offers a new beautiful view, creating a full-on, tranquil, Zen-like Chinese atmosphere. The room was spacious and elegant, the bedding soft and comfortable, and a soak in the large bathtub was incredibly relaxing. The toiletries were high quality. The staff were polite and discreet, providing thoughtful service without being intrusive. Breakfast was exquisite and delicious. It's a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, offering a true getaway vibe. It's my top choice for a vacation in Hangzhou, and I'll definitely be back.

The hotel service was excellent throughout my stay. The butler added me on WeChat in advance and even helped with my luggage from the parking lot. Check-in felt very ceremonial with a special hand-cleansing ritual. The butler was always quick to respond to any requests. There were lots of activities, like singing bowl therapy and a spa. Waking up and strolling through Xixi Wetland in the morning, or trying the botanical mandala, was so relaxing for both mind and body. The staff were all wonderful. The price is a bit high, but it's truly an experience hotel.

My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was fantastic! The building itself is grand and eye-catching, and the nighttime ambiance is just wonderful. The front desk staff were warm and professional, making check-in quick and efficient. My room was spacious and clean, with all the amenities one could need, giving it a very home-like feel. The bedding was so soft, I slept incredibly soundly. The public areas were clean and elegant, and overall, it offers great value for money. The location is also very convenient for getting around, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

Rushi Residence Forest Healing Homestay

It's like living in a forest, with acorns constantly falling from the trees. The hotel is very clean, with virtually no mosquitoes. The room facilities are all excellent, especially the toilet flushing, which isn't too loud. Special praise goes to the hotel staff; their service was exceptionally good from check-in to check-out. They provided afternoon tea with fruit platters, nuts, and tea; offered ginger soup and ice packs if you had a cold; and promptly came to your room to help with any issues. The hotel only offers vegetarian food. I tried it once, and it was quite good and creative. Compared to the Black Pearl Hotel (averaging 1000 RMB per person), it's definitely not quite as good, but it's much better than other vegetarian restaurants in temples. Every ingredient was very fresh, although there were some issues, like the watermelon in the complimentary fruit platter being sweet and the blueberries being extremely sour. If you don't want vegetarian food, the surrounding farmhouses are a good option, offering fish, chicken, stir-fries, etc. I randomly picked a few and none were bad. The hotel also arranged various courses, including a healing class and Baduanjin (Eight Pieces of Brocade). Lying in a cabin surrounded by trees and feeling the breeze on a platform by the forest river was a truly therapeutic experience! I stayed for two days and there were still many courses I didn't get to try, so I'll make up for them next time! I'll consider bringing my parents next time.

Grand Hyatt Hangzhou

The hotel's location is quite convenient, right by West Lake and close to the boat tours, offering decent views. Its main selling point is the 8th-floor terrace, which provides a panoramic view of West Lake. However, it's unbearable during the day due to direct sun exposure. Traffic can be an issue for getting around, but bicycles are readily available nearby. As for cleanliness, the hotel seems a bit old, with noticeable signs of age in the hardware facilities, so improvements are needed. The service was acceptable, but when we had breakfast, we ate at different times. An older member of our group was told she couldn't use the breakfast area on the first floor and was directed to the 8th floor. The variety on the 8th floor was relatively limited compared to the first floor, and I don't understand why guests from the same room would receive different breakfast arrangements, with separate floors being particularly strange. The apple I had for breakfast was rotten inside, which is the first time I've encountered this during a hotel stay. The breakfast quality on the first floor also has significant room for improvement compared to hotels of a similar star rating. Thankfully, we only stayed for one night.
