Simplified review: Just book this hotel, no need to think twice! Location: About a 6-8 minute walk from the subway station, roughly 300 meters. Facilities: The air conditioning is very cold, and the water heater works wonderfully. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and there's a makeup mirror and a fridge – everything you could need. The facial recognition for the elevator can be a bit inconvenient; it would be better if they provided key cards. Other than that, no issues. They even provide essence, lotion, makeup remover pads, and disposable face towels... I was truly amazed! It's the first time I've encountered such an excellent and thoughtful hotel, truly meticulous. The washer and dryer work great. The gym equipment is decent, pretty good actually, and they even have a power rack. Smart devices and projection TV are all available and work very well. I have to praise the smart devices; they're not too bright, unlike some other smart hotels where the devices stay lit all night. There are 4 elevators, so no waiting. They also have robots for delivery. That's all I can remember for now, but overall, it's fantastic. Soundproofing: Excellent, very quiet. There's a blanket outside the door. Bedding: Very comfortable. Service: I was assisted by Jian Lan (Sword Orchid), who was very considerate. Even though I didn't pre-book the free station pickup service, they still managed to arrange it for me on the day. The check-in process was like that of a super five-star hotel, very innovative and impressive. Breakfast and late-night snacks are both excellent. They also include afternoon tea and complimentary cocktails. Staying near Hangzhou East Station is also very convenient, and taxis to anywhere are not expensive. Highly recommended! I won't look at any other hotels when I visit Hangzhou again. Thank you!

This hotel used to be an InterContinental (perhaps a benchmark in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai region), but after the InterContinental brand pulled out, the owner operated it independently under the name 'Free InterContinental Palace'. After the InterContinental de-branding, the hotel significantly increased its recreational activities, adding tennis courts, sound healing, and more. Among the resort hotels in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area, places like the Xihu State Guest House and Fuchun Resort are quite large, but this hotel's actual scale is even more astonishing. Besides the hotel's own area, the entire Xianshan Peninsula is essentially its public space: in early summer, there are bayberry orchards, and in autumn, the mountains are covered with tangerine trees. You can hike to the top of the back mountain (about 2-3 km), and there's a hidden small 'canyon' in the mountains. If you don't want to dine at the hotel, there's a 'farmhouse restaurant' next door (Xianshan Restaurant). A few hundred meters from the entrance is the lighthouse area, which used to be a pebble beach and has now been converted into a coffee shop/bar. As for the hotel's own hardware, it's roughly on par with the international resort hotels in Yalong Bay around 2010-2012 (Qiandao Lake InterContinental/Hilton/Sheraton all opened around the same time). It's very well-maintained, old but not dilapidated. Compared to the minimalist, trendy new hotels of the past two years, hotels from this period have much more character. Most people come to Qiandao Lake to escape the summer heat, but October-November is when Xianshan Peninsula is at its most beautiful. The tangerines are ripe, the lake water is exceptionally blue on crisp, clear days, and by November, a few ginkgo trees in the hotel turn golden. This hotel also has some special advantages: for example, breakfast is served until 11 AM and includes a dedicated children's dining area. From 9 PM to 11 PM, there's a late-night canteen offering various snacks and instant noodles from all over the world (literally every type of noodle from everywhere!). The concierge team's service is also very attentive and prompt. What can I say? Perfect weather, perfect hotel – 100 out of 10 points! 🥰

I've stayed here many times, and the service is always excellent. This time, it was a family trip, and my husband arrived at the hotel first. The hotel was busy, but the staff helped upgrade our room type. Special thanks to Benson & Sandy for their thoughtful service. The concierge staff were also very proactive in helping with our golf bags and luggage. I'll definitely be back for my next golf trip!

We absolutely love this hotel!! We have been here several times since 2011. It is located a little away from West Lake, with didi that it is so easy to get around! And it is absolutely vital that you can get a break from all the crowds and noise of the big city when you get back to your hotel. Rose Garden is surrounded by green trees and mountains, it’s quite and calm and the outside swimming pool is such an oasis. If it’s raining and thundering, too hot or too cold the indoor pool is also really good, and there are nice sofas around the pool for enjoying yourself. The staff is incredible!!! They are quietly there and super aware of you and your needs. They, especially Stone the manager, helped my husband so much with him planing a surprise visit on our wedding anniversary, they made sure he got upgraded to a better room so he was next to us, helped him send flowers, made a cake for us from them and kept the whole thing a secret from me🌹🩷 They helped me and my daughters order tea to be delivered to the hotel, send a package to a friend in China, remember what we liked to eat and drink in the morning and always kind and aware. I know they work hard and still they always smile at us and are ready to help!! Most of them have worked there for many many years, so they know what they’re doing 👌 I am so grateful, because they are a big part of our visits being so memorable! The hotel is so clean, the rooms a beautiful and spacious and there is a coffee machine in the room 🙏🏻 the restaurant in the hotel is really good Chinese food the Cafe cand make some good western food choices, drinks and ice cream, the breakfast buffet offers a huge selection of Chinese food and western food and fruit, children’s buffet with candyfloss and fun for kids. The whole hotel is quite, tranquil, beautiful, clean and cozy!!! We always get a little sad when we leave and even though we want to travel to se other parts of the world, we always have Rose Garden and Hangzhou in our hearts and plans to come back. And we will🌹🤝🩷

Just checked out from this onsen hotel, and my whole family is very satisfied, so I'm writing a good review. The environment is excellent. The courtyard, wooden corridors, and lanterns all have that distinct Kyoto feel, making for great photos. The hot spring is indoors, with clean water, and it feels wonderful after a soak. The family-friendly facilities are comprehensive, with a kids' play area, a picture book corner, and craft activities. The room also provides children's slippers and toiletries, making it very convenient for families with kids. As for dining, the Japanese cuisine is exquisitely prepared, and the children's meals are thoughtfully designed with cute shapes, which my kids absolutely loved.

It’s been a long time since I last left a hotel review, and this 5-star rating comes from a bit of a rollercoaster experience. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay, but the first couple of days were quite challenging. On my first night, Hangzhou suddenly turned cold, and the room was extremely chilly. The heating was not available, and no immediate solution was offered. For a 4-star hotel, I do think there should be a basic contingency plan. Simple options like portable heaters or even blankets should be available. I was only offered an extra duvet, which was not very practical since a hotel room is not just for sleeping. I asked for a blanket but there was none, which felt like a missing basic amenity. That same night, I was woken up around 1 to 2 AM by a wrong call from the front desk. There was no apology and no acknowledgment of the late hour. Because of this, I overslept the next morning and was late for work. After a long and very cold day, I returned to my room only to find it even colder, as the window had been left open for ventilation. At that point, I was quite upset. However, after I raised these issues, the hotel handled the situation very well and professionally. I was moved to a warmer room, and they provided thoughtful gestures like a fruit plate and an extra heater from the front desk. What mattered most was the attitude and the care. The facilities are solid, hotel design is comfortable, and the resting view is beautiful. In the end, the overall experience met the expectations of a 4-star hotel. 也想特别表扬前台的小王、小毛、小高，在我提出问题的时候依然耐心和专业，让人感受到被认真对待。 整体来说，这是一次有起伏但被很好接住的入住体验。 因此，这个五星，是给完整体验的。

If you are considering a hotel around Xixi Wetland and looking at a budget of around 3,000 RMB per night, here are a few things you need to know about the Banyan Tree Hangzhou. 1. Booking Policy: Once you book via Trip.com, cancellation is not allowed after 30 minutes. Even if you book far in advance, you will still be charged a 50% cancellation fee. We only got them to cooperate through mediation by the 12315 consumer hotline, and even then, they only allowed a date change. This is quite rare for a 5-star hotel in China. Pay close attention to this and make sure not to book too far in advance. 2. Facilities & Dining: The facilities at the Banyan Tree now can only be described as resembling a rustic guesthouse (nongjiale). Occupancy seems very low, and the lazy uncles at the entrance completely ignore guests. If you want to grab dinner at night, you have to head out to a deserted area—there are only two restaurants, and some are closed on weekdays, serving only simple burger-style meals. The breakfast is barely on par with a 3-star hotel. 3. Signage & Service: Poor signage. The receptionist had an impatient attitude. The front desk area is tiny, the lobby lacks any fresh flowers or greenery, and the whole place gives off a vibe like it's about to go out of business. 4. Departure: After checking out, as our car drove out of the courtyard, the uncle standing at the entrance just stared blankly with zero reaction or traffic guidance. 5. Cleanliness: The corners of the room were not cleaned properly and were covered in dust. @ The Bright Side: If you live in a bustling city every day, are looking for absolute peace and quiet where you can escape from everyone, and don't care about service details, the Banyan Tree Xixi is a good choice. The rooms are spacious and quiet.

My husband booked this healing hotel by the Xixi Wetland for our anniversary, and it was incredibly romantic. The theme room that Xin Hotel decorated for us was so thoughtful, even my husband was surprised! The hotel's private butler service was excellent, almost always responsive. The private hot spring, where you can hear birds chirping, even used herbal and plant essences designed to balance the five elements. The whole trip was so enjoyable and made for our most unforgettable anniversary. Thank you, Xin Hotel, grateful to have found you! Heartily recommend!

I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Hangzhou Thousand Island Lake – it was an unexpectedly wonderful vacation experience! The hotel is nestled by the mountains and the lake, with its cruise ship-like architecture making it easily recognizable. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room, the lake and mountain scenery immediately greets you. Sitting on the balcony, watching the lake and the sunset is incredibly therapeutic. The room is spacious, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the cleanliness is spot-on. The facilities are well-maintained, making for a very reassuring stay. The service is the biggest highlight. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff were polite and attentive, responding quickly to any requests. Throughout my stay, I truly felt the professionalism of the IHG brand. The breakfast offered a rich variety, with both Chinese and Western options. You absolutely must try the Thousand Island Lake fish head at the Chinese restaurant – the broth is creamy white and delicious, and the authentic lake fresh taste is fantastic. The amenities are comprehensive. The 'insta-famous' infinity pool is great for photos, and there's also an indoor heated pool, a fitness center, and a kids' club, making it suitable for both couples and families with children. It's very convenient if you're driving, as the hotel offers free parking. Here, you don't need to rush through an itinerary; simply relaxing at the hotel, enjoying the lake breeze, and escaping the city hustle provides a complete sense of relaxation. The value for money is excellent. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Thousand Island Lake, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Traveling during the National Day holiday, I compared many hotels and finally chose Conrad. The surrounding commercial area and transportation were very convenient. It rained throughout the holiday, so I just went downstairs to Raffles City for shopping and dining. The breakfast variety wasn't extensive, but the taste was quite good. During peak dining hours, especially if you go a bit late, there was a queue at the entrance. I was originally recommended to dine on the 36th floor as well, but the variety there was limited, and the staff were quite cold. They didn't know how many breakfasts were included with the room beforehand and directly questioned guests, as if buying breakfast separately on the spot wasn't an option. The housekeeping and other staff, however, were all very friendly.
