It was an enjoyable stay. The hotel contacted us before our stay and arranged for free pick up from the train station. They also added us on Wechat. The staff were friendly and helpful with our requests and queries. Even if they had no answers, they tried to find out and get back to us. They also helped us find a driver to take us to sights that were further away. As there was no lift in the property, the staff helped us carry our luggage to the fourth floor. When we checked out, they did the same. When we came back with too much shopping, they happily helped us with our bags too. The dining lounge on the fifth floor had a splendid view of the mountain range. On good days, one can even catch the sunset. There is free afternoon tea each afternoon from 2pm to 5 pm. Every evening, from 8pm to 9.30pm, the owner would host a buttertea 酥油茶 gathering for all his guests. The hotel is about a 15min walk to the Ancient Lijiang City. There is an underpass halfway between the hotel and the ancient city that leads straight to the Big Water Wheel. It's a good place to shop and eat while avoiding the sun enroute to the ancient city.

Location was great: Within Lijiang Ancient City and just a 5-min walk to the main road. Stayed during winter season and was glad to know that hot water was consistent. Room was cleaned up daily in the 4 days we stayed there to explore Lijiang and the surrounding areas. Breakfast provided was hearty with a good variety. Reception area is also conveniently located beside a cafe so you can also enjoy a cuppa over breakfast. Shoutout to the staff who were friendly and responded to our queries in a timely manner. They also helped to link us up to a local tour agency that helped us out with a Jade Dragon Snow Mountain day-trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was despite us not having a local Chinese number and only having WeChat as the only communication tool. All in all, really enjoyed our stay here at Songzhuju (松竹居) and will recommend it to my friends and family who are looking to explore Lijiang.

Very convenient location about a 1-minute walk from Sifang Square. The main Wuyi Street is a short walk north, and the other big street Qiyi is a short walk south. Room was clean and the staff very helpful. No English is spoken, but I speak some Chinese and the staff can add you on wechat to communicate and share locations. The staff upgraded me, and the room was nice, clean and quiet—despite the very central location. Location could be a bit hard to find the first time, but the Trip.com app opened up Baidu maps for me and led me straight to one of the hotel entrances, though it wasn’t the main one (was just 10m west of the main one). I called the number and the staff guy came right over, so no problem. Other reviewers also say the staff can come guide you over, so you could also try that.

The location is superb! Not so deep in the town which is good for your luggage (the road is uneven, it’s a risk will damage your roller). Convenient to travel around the ancient town, near lots of popular restaurants and attractions. Their place is clean, neat and nice looking too. It's just that the bathroom is a bit small but for the price to get such a place is totallyworth! Will choose this place if there’s a chance of coming back here again.

Highly recommended. Definitely will come again! We booked 3 rooms over here for 1 night. Shop owner is really very helpful, suggested us tourist spots (which is really a steal, and amazing) and even helped us arrange and book for it. (Because we didn’t do much research before coming) And allowed my bro for late check out as he had food poisoning and had to rest in room. He even went all the way to accompany us to wait for car (he booked car for us as well) when we were late for our train. 大力推荐！在这里租了三间房间。 老板人实在太好太友善了。也非常尽责，为我们安排了拉市海一日游（因为我们没做功课，没能去到玉龙雪山）。（老板推荐的也是非常可靠的，绝不坑人） 还陪我们等待车，确保我们安全。 我哥因为泻肚子，只好在房休息，老板还很宽容让他延迟出房。 下次肯定还会再入住这里。

The reason for choosing this homestay is because of the name. I think the boss should be a person who has a strong sense of story. After experiencing a lot of bumps, this year I can barely breathe, so I want to give myself a little time, find a place to stay, drink and drink. Originally I wanted to talk to the boss, but there were a lot of people coming, and there were unexpected surprises. The environment was really good. The most unexpected thing was that their family actually left a place in the yard where they could cook tea in the stove. It can be seen that they really understand life. In the evening, I just met them to organize guests to eat, and I joined naturally. People from the north and the south talked from dinner time to supper time. The boss also took out their Guizhou corn wine. The corn wine was really special. I never drank it. The taste, the faint corn fragrance, I don’t know how to faint after two cups. I thought the boss was a very vicissitudes of people, but I was actually a very lively and talkative person when I faced everyone. I saw that she really experienced a lot of pain, but that kind of attitude of disobedience and optimism is really comfortable. Full of positive energy, and it is worth mentioning that the people in their family are really real, simple and optimistic, Ouyang handsome guy in addition to handsome also cooks good dishes, but also super can drink, Miss Liying like a sister will be very careful to ask for warmth, like a ”mother” existence, There is also a young lady, haha, a very real little girl, what to say, or an ancient city small know, if you need consultation, you can find her. Although I have not been together for a long time, but I have the heart to stay, I hope I can also be as simple and direct as they are, happy and positive to live in this place!

Outstanding experience! What looked like a typical old town felt more like a Spa resort. We checked in at the Wuzhen area gate, the precess was very quick, after that a bus took us to the hotel. It was an old-looking building with modern commodities. Very warm (even in December) and very clean. Fangdong was very helpful and friendly, he helped with the luggage and made a tasty breakfast in the morning. The next day he helped to arrange our bags to be sent to the check-in area and we were enjoying our time free of worries (and heavy things). Since it was Christmas eve, the area had Christmas decorations and we were gifted with traditional apples. All this small actions added to our fascination of the beauty of Wuzhen. 11 out of 10! I wolf recommend this experience to everybody to enjoy at least once in a lifetime!

Hotel is at great location which offers wonderful stunning views. Staff is cooperative and helpful. Totally maintained hygiene and cleanliness. Rooms are spacious with big balcony and large windows . There is projector for watching movie approx 150” I guess. So if you love watching movies; you can watch at night. I got a private pool. I was disappointed with two things first they offers pure Chinese breakfast which is not my cup of tea and second there is no room dial service. If you need something you have to message them; they do respond. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience with the Guisu property for an 8-day stay. For a group of 5, this was much more convenient and cost-effective than having to book separate hotel rooms. I booked this room for my family, who was visiting China for the first time. Communicating with the host was very easy, and they responded very fast to any inquiry, sending over items, such as house slippers, within minutes upon request. Our communication was all in Chinese, so it may be helpful to have someone familiar with the language. What my family liked most about Guisu was that they felt like they were immersed in the city, experiencing the real life of a Chinese neighborhood, which a hotel may not be able to provide. The property was next to an elementary school, and while we were woken up each day by the sound of the children, it was nevertheless a pleasant, authentic, experience. The amenities and facilities all worked well, and the kitchen is stocked with dishes and utensils. Even if you are not cooking yourself, it is convenient to have all of this on hand. I would certainly recommend Guisu Homestay to other friends visiting Shanghai. The location near West Nanjing Road made it easy to walk everywhere, such as to People's Square or nearby parks. It is also close enough to the metro station, for a quick ride to other popular areas or train stations.

Location was inconvenient especially if you do not drive. The public transport is a bit far from the hotel. Taxi service not available for short distance. We took the taxi from the hotel to Chiayi HSR which cost NT1,200. Guests stayed at the hotel only allowed one visit per stay per person. To fully enjoy all the facilities for both floors, it will take at least 3 hours. The swimming pool was closed for renovation. Breakfast selection was rather disappointing.

tea horse guest house is one of the main check points along the trek, and has a viewing deck (with bar) where you can get a cup of coffee and enjoy the views of the mountain. the location is superb, and is the perfect spot to stop at if you are doing a 2D1N hike. sit outside of your room and look at the stars at night. as the area is being developed to accommodate more tourist, you’d notice lots of construction going on… amenities are super basic, soap shampoo is provided in sachets and the en-suite rooms have wet toilets (open shower and toilet without partitions). food here is basic, nothing to shout about. my stir fried vegetables came swimming in oil… which i learnt is just how the people in this area cook their food. you can scribble your signature on the walls floors chairs furniture etc as a momento… but the scribbling was too overwhelming for my liking. consider this location for the heritage (being the middle point of the entire tea horse route)… and for the views. even the shared toilets have a view!

Great GH on the hiking trail in Tigerleaping gorge. We had so much fun with the Korean travel group and the spontaneous flute concert! Rooms are clean, food was good and all staff was very nice. Communication in English was also very good and helpful. The GH is clearly marked on the treck and easy to find For those who want to hike the upper treck (highly recommended!) try to arrange transport directly to the 28bends (28拐 / er shi ba guai). We took the shuttle bus to the tiger leaping gorge scenic spot but it drops you off at a big viewing platform on the street and far from the hiking trail. We ended up walking by the street and getting a ride with a local woman passing us

Innkeeper Liu and wife are very good, hospitable, helpful and have fast response. The inn provided a list of recommended restaurants nearby. The Inn is 1 year old and getting better with time. Good location inside Dali old city 5 min walk from the east gate, and 10min by motorised tricycle to Erhai. There are no stairs in this inn. The family room bathroom is a little awkward but the other room bathrooms are very modern and clean. The air-conditioning, bed linen and beds are good. There is a good amount of glazing but no openable windows so we kept the door open whenever we were in. The inn is homey and safe. The neighbours sing karaoke but this is part of the China experience, as are the neon lights across the street. Enjoy that along with the beautiful views of the mountain from your room.

This was a great find. We stayed here with two adults and an 8 and 6 year old. Mostly we were impressed with the service and how quick the owner was to respond to our needs. We enjoyed the area and the 10 min walk to the subway passed a few good eateries though it was a little outside downtown. Warning! Don't try to take a cab during rush hour. Take the subway or walk it! Would definitely stay here again.

They also helped us find a driver to take us to sights that were further away. As there was no lift in the property, the staff helped us carry our luggage to the fourth floor. When we checked out, they did the same. When we came back with too much shopping, they happily helped us with our bags too. The dining lounge on the fifth floor had a splendid view of the mountain range. On good days, one can even catch the sunset. There is free afternoon tea each afternoon from 2pm to 5 pm. Every evening, from 8pm to 9.30pm, the owner would host a buttertea 酥油茶 gathering for all his guests. The hotel is about a 15min walk to the Ancient Lijiang City. There is an underpass halfway between the hotel and the ancient city that leads straight to the Big Water Wheel. It's a good place to shop and eat while avoiding the sun enroute to the ancient city.
