GGuest UserAs an adventurous solo traveller, Chongqing is the first city I visit for my very first time visiting Mainland China...and Futon hotel is definitely a memorable stay. Unbeknownst to the hotel management, the day I checked into the hotel, I had problem with my Alipay and literally did not have any money on my very first day in China. And the hotel did not know that without them realising, their hospitality and amenities the hotel provided actually ease my worries during that 24 hour ordeal.
The payment process were all prebooked online, it was smooth and the moment I came into the lobby, they provided me cold tea and plum (which was at that time, LITERALLY the only food I ate that morning) and used their existing coupon for afternoon tea (which was LITERALLLY my only meal that whole day) where thanks to their afternoon tea coupon, I got to eat complimentary cake and tea that afternoon which INCREDIBLY lifted my mood, I almost given up on my vacation because of the Alipay but then again, without the hotel even knowing my troubles, I received wechat info of the management upgrading my private hotspring room into their best and most spacious suite since I'm their first visitor from Brunei Darussalam. I was very touched by their hospitality, honestly.
The prepaid breakfast was a lifesaver, I was able to eat the next day before finally able to get my Alipay restrictions lifted. Honestly, Futon hotel gave me HOPE that it's worth staying a couple more days in China incase Alipay able to resolve my payment issue. Futon hotel unknowingly gave me emotional safety and comfort during that 24 hour ordeal. Thankfully by the 2nd day, I am able to make payments. and the cherry on top for this incredible hotel? I got a gift bag from them during my checkout, I will cherish my very memorable stay at Futon despite the troubles I had during that first 24 hour in China. I made a good call to choose this hotel, they unknowingly helped me during my troubled day. Thank you Futon hotel, I wish you the best in your bussiness. Keep on maintaining that great hospitality and the amenities you have, you have unknowingly helped a troubled solo traveller that day.
Now I am already a week in China when I post this review and stayed at different hotels, I still cherish the memories I had in Futon hotel. Best wishes and fortune to the management and staff at Futon hotel. Thank you for all your kindness and hospitality.

The resort's accommodations are a true delight – beautifully designed rooms that effortlessly combine sleek, contemporary aesthetics with the warmth and character of the local countryside. The attention to detail is truly impressive, creating a sense of tranquility and authenticity that is all too rare in today's hospitality landscape.
One of the standout features of my stay was the opportunity to explore the entire village on my last night. Navigating the winding paths felt like stepping into an adventure game, with new discoveries at every turn. The sense of wonder and excitement I felt was akin to being a child again, truly immersed in the magic of the mountain setting.
The service at Longmen Pu Village is equally impressive. Prior to my arrival, I had connected with the customer service team on WeChat, and they were well-prepared and attentive to my needs. Upon check-in, I was welcomed with delectable local Chongqing specialties, a delightful introduction to the culinary delights that awaited me.
The highlight of my stay, however, was the opportunity to enjoy the stunning sunsets from various vantage points around the resort, cigar in hand and fresh fruit nearby. These moments of peaceful contemplation, immersed in the beauty of the mountains, will be etched in my memory forever.
Beyond the breathtaking views, the resort also offered engaging activities that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. I had the privilege of learning the art of potting plants and marveling at the impressive bonsai tree collection, a true treat for a plant enthusiast like myself. The calligraphy session at the on-site tea house was also a wonderful experience, providing a moment of tranquil meditation amidst the adventure.
While I would recommend Longmen Pu Village to any traveler seeking a unique and authentic escape, I would advise international guests to have a basic understanding of the Chinese language or be prepared to utilize translation apps. This slight challenge, however, is well worth the reward of experiencing this remarkable resort.
In conclusion, Longmen Pu Village is a true gem, a resort that has masterfully preserved the local charm and flavor of Chongqing's stunning mountain region. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or an immersive cultural experience, this resort delivers an unforgettable journey that I wholeheartedly recommend.

GGuest UserI came to Jiefangbei for a visit and booked this hotel. The stay experience was pretty good. It is also a relatively cost-effective hotel nearby. Unexpectedly, the service of the front desk staff was very attentive and considerate. They led us into the room and gave us a brief introduction to the room. I personally think it is recommended to stay in this hotel!!

GGuest UserWe went to many hotels in china and this was the best one so far! Their service was the best out of the many hotels we went. They pay attention to every single details and were meticulous to make sure their guests stay was comfortable. Love the table and chair setting and they provided a tea set as well. Their blanket was so comfortable and we felt so at home throughout our stay. Location was great without needing to worry about finding food as there are many eateries nearby. We went there during the mid autumn festival and hotel even gave us a fruit platter and 2 mooncakes which was delicious. Breakfast was perfect to start the day before all the spiciness we were going to eat later on that chongqing has to offer. Every staff there was extremely friendly and helpful, special mention to 小坤 who even had a itinerary done and places to visit around chongqing and places to eat around the hotel. I would proudly say their service has exceeded those other 5 star hotel establishments we have stayed in other places. I would definitely stay in this place if i am back in chongqing again. Once again, a big thank you to all the staff of 山觉人文美宿.

The common area was thoughtfully stocked with a water dispenser, paper cups, umbrellas, toilet water, children's shower gel, mosquito repellent, and insecticide! The B&B is located just downstairs from Bayi Road, a 6-minute walk from Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, and an 8-minute walk from Linjiang Road Station (Line 2), Exit 1. Transportation is convenient! Dining options are plentiful: from Chongqing noodles to Chongqing hot pot, local dishes, and even supermarkets are all available. Day trips often gather near Jiefangbei, making it easy to join tours.

GGenOhlsonA cosy family-friendly enchanted hideaway in the mountains with the clouds. The whole place seems to have been a long-time passion in creating the most charming and comfortable inn from conception to realisation with both the exterior and interior decorated in either a rustic country cottage or a European apartment style from the last century. We were so happy here and my child especially appreciated the room and all of its surroundings.
Every nook and cranny of the place is excellently utiilised. From the dining room as well as the main outside eatery balcony, one has a beautiful view of the mountainside in all its greenery with butterflies flitting amongst flowers. Don't forget to check out the third story balconies and the library. Screen projector fittings are in place for a medium-sized conference. The place even has a couple of majiang table nooks should you want to play with friends.
The surrounding forest environment of the inn is all sorts of paths and green terraces going off in different directions. There is a playpark for children with its own pedal-powered mini-roller coaster and other items for children to climb on.
There is an off-site pond and ancient stone bridge nearby. One can take a short hike up the driveway and explore the diverging walking track paths. There's also an ecological technology exhibition centre not far up the road from the inn.
A large portion of the clientele when we were there were day trip visitors in family and friend groups. Big tables as well as KTV facilities could be booked for the day.
The food quality is fantastic and the portions generous. There are no nearby shops so all meals are taken in-house; the staff will consult you about when and what is on offer from the extensive menu. You can specify whether you'd want your food spicy or not when possible depending on the dish.
The genuinely friendly and accomodating staff take such good care of you and step in whenever they feel you may need some assistance. My child had a bad cough at the time, and they were so kind bringing her hot drinks with honey and offering medicine they happened to have there.
My Chinese is not good, but with a standard translation app, you're able to communicate what you need and the staff are so obliging to help. They genuinely do seem to be happy to be working there, and cudos and credit it to the owner for taking such good care of the staff that they in turn carry it over to their care for their guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and the owner.

BBaihehua13Before departure, the housekeeper asked me in advance about my requirements for the room floor, where I should get off by taxi, whether they needed to pick me up, etc.; we arrived at the drop-off point at almost 11 o'clock in the evening, and the housekeeper was already waiting there and helped us take our luggage to the hotel room; the breakfast set meal was also selected in advance the night before, and we could go downstairs to eat the next morning just by saying so; the hotel is located in Xiahaoli Ancient City, which has the style of the Republic of China. There is a cafe on the first floor, where you can drink coffee in the afternoon and evening, and it is also a check-in point for tourists; the room is large, with a balcony, and it is quite comfortable to stay in. When we left, the housekeeper also sent us to the taxi point. The service was very good. I will stay here again next time if there is a chance!

AAnonymous UserLocation was great however it was situated at a building not very prominent and even taxi driver had got difficulty finding the place.
The building was old and the reception and my room were situated at 2 different buildings. Abit inconvenient though it was just side by side.
It was also very dark outside hence entering the door pin without the mobile flashlight is a problem.
The space was spacious, however the common bathroom does not have hanger or anything to hang towel or clothes.
The water pressure was also not consistent, sometimes strong, sometimes weak, likewise for the hot water. The aircon will also stop itself if the motion sensor detect no one is around hence when sleeping, the aircon will turn off itself. 😢
Washing machine kept getting stuck but reception was quick to respond.
Love that they provide unlimited steam eye mask, cotton bud and ear plug for guests. The eye mask was pretty useful for my tired eyes.
Overall, not bad for the price paid. Value for money but could be better with the lighting and provide hanger for towel at least in the bathroom.

JJo TehThe property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night.
The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.
