First time visiting Furong Ancient Town, and this hotel was an absolute delight! The staff's service was top-notch – incredibly kind, attentive, and highly responsible. To ensure my stay was perfect, she proactively offered tons of super practical tips for getting around and finding great food, always ready to help with anything I needed. Truly exceptional hospitality! The hotel's environment and cleanliness were impeccable, and right outside our room, there was a free self-service washer and dryer. The breakfast staff, especially the auntie who prepared our vegetarian noodle soup, was so thoughtful. Definitely a five-star experience! If you're also visiting Furong Ancient Town for the first time, don't hesitate – this is the place to book!

This guesthouse is located right by the Tuojiang River; you just cross the road and go down some steps to reach the riverside. The room is quite spacious, neat, and clean. The guesthouse also offers free Miao traditional clothing for guests to try on. There's free parking available, though it's not right next to the guesthouse. You can drive to the guesthouse entrance to drop off your luggage, then go park. The parking lot isn't far, about a 6-7 minute walk. The landlady was very welcoming and helped us with our bags. She readily provided extra bottles of water when we asked. For such a prime location along the Tuojiang River, the price is very reasonable, offering great value for money.

Excellent hotel for a stay in Fenghuang ! It is possible to profit from all attractions of the town while not being too strongly exposed to the noises of bars (relatively), in addition it is stylish and even tea is offered so you can make it on the terrace. We liked the experience.

Best views and location ever. The room was super clean, the bed is confortable, a/c works great. TV id duper cool because it is a proyector, everything is in Chinese. It is so convinient that they offer free airport/ train station drop off and pick up. We booked last minute and the price was pretty high my recommendation is to book ahead of time so you don’t end up paying more than what is really worth.

This is a wonderful hotel! It's located in the center of the ancient city. The view from the balcony is stunning. The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere. The girls at the reception and the main lady are always happy to help you with anything you need. They arranged a transfer from the train station and found a driver to take us to the hotel. We then arranged for the driver to take us to Tongren Airport the next day. A little about the driver: Reliability, good attitude, quick response, and a reasonable price for the service. About the room: Very beautiful interior and design. Clean and snow-white bed linens, soft pillows, and comfortable beds. Good plumbing in the bathroom. There are rubber slippers. The shower has good water pressure and excellent towels. Hotels in the ancient city usually provide disposable towels, but this hotel had regular, good towels. I was very happy about this. 😊 The tea area and balcony access are separate, aesthetic spaces for enjoying the atmosphere of the ancient city and immersing yourself in the culture. A tip for travelers with sensitive hearing: stay out late and enjoy the night views, and use earplugs before bed. The hotel is located in the center of the ancient city, so be aware that there are many cafes nearby with loud music—an integral part of the evening atmosphere. Our room was on the 4th floor. There is no elevator, like many hotels located on both sides of the river. This is a unique and exclusive feature of this place. We knew about this, and it wasn't a problem for us. I recommend this hotel!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to assist us with planning activities and handling bookings. They were consistently responsive to all our enquiries, which made the experience smooth and stress-free. The location was exactly as described—peacefully situated near the forest, offering a relaxing and natural setting. One area for improvement would be the availability of more vegetarian-friendly food options. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely book here again when revisiting the area.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding Stay – The Best Hospitality We Experienced in China This homestay was one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond anything we could have expected. We arrived feeling quite stressed about planning our visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. There is so much information online and it can feel overwhelming trying to work out routes, tickets and timings. The staff literally sat down with us and planned everything step by step. They helped us buy tickets at a better price than we had found ourselves, explained the best routes to take, and made sure we got the most out of our time in the park. What impressed us most was that they didn't just help with the main attractions. We only had a couple of hours free when we first arrived, and they suggested a walk in the park that wasn't even on our itinerary. It turned out to be absolutely magical and became one of our favourite memories from Zhangjiajie. The room itself was beautiful, peaceful and incredibly comfortable. After long days exploring, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The surroundings were quiet and scenic, making it feel like a true escape from the crowds. The free shuttle service was extremely convenient and made getting around so much easier, and the complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day. Most importantly, the kindness and genuine care shown by the staff made this place special. They treated us like friends rather than guests and were always happy to help with anything we needed. If you're visiting Zhangjiajie, I cannot recommend this homestay highly enough. Amazing rooms, fantastic location, free breakfast and transport, and some of the friendliest, most helpful staff we've ever met.

Check-in is online, but there's someone on-site who was incredibly helpful and available. They recommended places to eat and even negotiated prices for me. The owner is very responsive and quickly answered all my questions. I gave the location 5/5 because it's close to both the train station and the bus station for Wulingyuan. Plus, there are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. I rated cleanliness 4/5 because the room could use a more thorough cleaning. There were some stains on the wall and floor... nothing major, but it wasn't as spotless as in the photos, which was a bit disappointing. I gave amenities 4/5 because I don't think there were any laundry facilities. Also, when I was at the National Park, I noticed other visitors had received a map of the site from their hotel, which seemed really handy; I didn't get one, but maybe that's because I didn't think to ask! However, they did lend me an umbrella, and there was no issue when I forgot to return it :-) I extended my stay by one night and even considered extending it again, so it clearly suited me well!

I had the most amazing stay at this hotel. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were picked up from the railway station. They dealt with our entry tickets, they dealt with our bags at every point, me and my friend didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our train on the day we were leaving was scheduled for 3pm. The staff let us stay in our room until 2pm, which hotels don’t usually do free of charge. Upon leaving, the gentleman who worked for the hotel told us to choose any food and drink we would like for our next train journey, which was incredibly thoughtful. The hotel room was incredibly clean and the views from the balcony were magnificent.
