We enjoyed the tranquil night and early morning at Xizha, which many tours don't offer.

A really lovely and cozy place to stay 😍 a stone throw away from the west gate of wuzhen. Located on a quiet street that’s full of other home stays (not sure if it’s due to non-peak winter period). Owner is friendly and helpful. There’s no lift and he assisted with carrying luggage to upstairs. Homestay designs and decorations, amenities are great. Breakfast is well presented, comfort food. Ordered tea as well as it’s one of their signatures.

Though located at the quieter part of Xiza Wuzhen, we like the peacefulness and calm at night. The luggages were transported to the hotel after check-in at the main tourist centre. We explored in the day before picking up the luggages at the lobby at night. The hotel's breakfast was at ZhenShui hotel 100m away. It was a great breakfast with a variety of food. I think it is better to eat there than at the popular ZaoChaKe where you can pay on your own to try the traditional breakfast just for experience. Overall, nice stay, warm hospitality.

The boss is a very honest man and also very helpful. He goes the extra mile to help you with anything that you need. Just inform him what your need or where you would like to go and he will recommend the best method and even help to arrange for transportation, services etc at the best value price. The hotel is located just 300meters walk away from the Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area ticketing centre. Though it is not located inside the scenic area, it is worth staying here because there are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, massage parlours, and traditional costume and make up shops that you can get better price than within the scenic area. The hotel owner also helped to arrange a rickshaw to bring us tour nanzha(south part of Wuzhen) which depicts more of the lifestyle of the local people with a few nice areas for photography and to buy local produce. Many chinese dramas were also filmed at Nanzha area which the rickshaw rider explained very well but in mandarin chinese. He also helped to take nice photographs for us. The hotel owner also helped to book a car from Wuzhen to Tongli at a reasonable price. If you are travelling from either Hangzhou or Suzhou to this hotel, i would recommend that you give the hotel owner a call and ask him to arrange for a car to get you from those places to Wuzhen especially if you travel in groups of 2-4 persons because the hotel owner is able to get a reasonably priced car. Overall, i would stay in this hotel again if i visit Wuzhen again, because of the owner’s great hospitality and service.

Lovely, spacious room that's great for relaxing in, with a good bathroom too. (I stayed in a double room alone; the bathroom is not set up for privacy, so it's better for couples rather than friends.) Very reasonable price. The only thing to note is that the main door closes around midnight, so it can be tricky to have a late night out.

I stayed in the B&B based on the boss’s online reputation [and it turned out to be right] as long as there is a vacancy, I can exchange for 2 big ones for free. The bed was really nice, and there was free pick-up and drop-off at the door. Although I only stayed for one night, I was filled with gratitude for the boss's human touch. He was very friendly to everyone. I really should give him a certificate. Even though I lived in Dongzha, I felt so good all morning. The scenery is one of the best, and it is really satisfying to be on a chartered boat that only has 2 people on it.

Overall Wuzhen is just another commercialised village and over rated as an Ancient Water Town. Hotel itself is not heated but room has heater.  However because room is quite spacious, takes a while to warm up room.  Comfortable bed, clean and smoke/cigarette smell free.  This is very important for us as we are extremely sensitive to cigarette.  Toilet feels cold but hot water is good.  Hotel amenities basic - slipper, toothbrush/tooth paste, hot water, body soap and shampoo Host is friendly and helpful.  Hotel is within steps to Ancient Village.  Entrance ticket price RMB150/pax.  Scenic points 0830-1700 while scenic area is 0830-2200. Solely my opinion- Over rated and not really worthy to pay the entrance ticket.  50% discount for above 60 years old. Future visit, if any, will consider this hotel again

The room is very clean, and the bed and pillow are very comfortable and I slept very soundly. There is also a small electric donkey to borrow at the back, which can be borrowed and returned at any time, which is convenient for travel. The restaurant of the lady boss's house has good dishes, grilled fish, the three treasures of the ancient town, and mutton are all delicious. The rice dumplings are also cut for you attentively. Like it. Every time I come back, I am greeted warmly, like going home! I will order the lady boss's house again. My friend will go to the ancient town to play at the end of the month. I just left and I already miss the food of the ancient town and the friendly hotel service of the lady boss! Wuzhen, I have been here and never left!

I was very happy with this stay. The environment of Shiyu Hotel made me feel particularly warm and comfortable. The design style of the hotel is also very unique. The address is also very convenient. The owner is very enthusiastic and provided a detailed check-in guide. He also introduced some of the local specialties of Wuzhen, which made it much more convenient for us to visit Wuzhen and saved us a lot of time. This is definitely a homestay worth staying in.

Due to the hotel our trip was amazing!!! The room is clean and cosy, there are hairdryer, air conditioner, disposable towels, shampoos and toothbrushes – everything needed. Moreover, owners of the guest house suggested breakfast and tea in the evening🥹 They also helped us to rent a bike for a whole day, so we traveled around with much more comfort than expected. The terrace is beyond beautiful, in the night it’s great to sit there. All in all, thanks for the service, atmosphere, support and kindness! I booked it for my family and they loved their stay in this guesthouse. The place is located in a beautiful part of Hangzhou, right beside a district full of different restaurants. The room and bathroom were clean, and the staff was really helpful, they did their best to answer all of our questions. *photos taken upon check-out*

Very good experience. Small gifts with Hangzhou characteristics were given upon check-in and check-out, which was a surprise. The location is easy to find, near Zhejiang University's Yuquan Campus, very close to the Botanical Garden and West Lake. The boss is very enthusiastic and recommended nearby delicacies. The folk door is very delicate and beautiful. The room is also quite large, with floor-to-ceiling windows, and you can see the scenery outside the window. It's just that the temperature in the room is relatively low in Hangzhou in winter. Turning on the air conditioner can alleviate some of the problems, but if you keep it on at night, it will be a bit dry. It's best to come in summer. I chose this homestay for a solo trip. The location is actually quite easy to find. It is convenient to take a bus or taxi, although I walked up. In this season, it gets dark early, so it is best to go up the mountain early, but there are lights on the main road and it is okay to go out. The room is quite large, the layout is also very elegant, and there is a small dry landscape terrace. There seem to be three floors in total. The balcony outside the first floor is suitable for enjoying the wind and overlooking the mountain view. It was cloudy yesterday and rainy today, but it is actually very beautiful. If it is sunny, you should be able to see the sunrise. The housekeeper is very thoughtful. After checking in, he will send the tour route of nearby attractions. Before resting, he will ask again if there is any need. Before going out for a walk at night, he will remind you to bring an umbrella in the rain, which is very considerate. The breakfast is as shown in the picture. The variety is very rich and the taste is homely. There is also a glass of milk/orange juice, which is very full. It is a comfortable and pleasant stay experience. If I visit West Lake again next time, I will consider coming again~

After meeting the 19-year-old owner of the homestay and having some pleasant communication, I feel that I need to adjust my mentality. Growth is a constant exploration and breakthrough. There are many goals that can be landed and suitable for oneself in this world. So, these two days, I am very relaxed and happy. When the weather gets warmer, we will live in the one with a courtyard on the first floor next time, and gather around the stove outdoors! By the way, I took the nail kit combination away when I left. This is the first time I have seen a homestay provide such a good nail kit, haha!

This was a great stay: the room was warm and comfortable, with complete facilities; the small garden was beautifully designed and well-proportioned, and the mountain view in the distance in the early morning after the rain was even more hazy and dreamy. The homestay is not far from Hupao and Su Causeway, and you can walk slowly to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. I also received a tea gift when I checked out, thank you!
