I didn’t fully realize what I booked until I got there, but it was a good experience. Rooms a very small, but functional. And walls are thin, but I sleep with earplugs anyway, so that wasn’t a problem for me. Otherwise it was a nice experience to sleep in a traditional style house.

Not only have I vouched that it has been the best B&B in hualien, so did my driver who picked us up. Sea has been around for 8 years, and the standard of cleanliness just seems like a brand new accoms. Had daily interaction with the front desk lady who happens to own the b&b. She was lovely, even persistent that we have breakfast everyday. So pleasant. We were in touched the day after i booked it when my trip has not start. giving us recommendations, booking trips and drivers for us, providing free bicycles and umbrella. it was just the best and most convenient place to reside. love it. they have everything and are always available. (maybe not midnighti of course). I will just attached image of the amazing view and interior. amazing

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Liuhe Night Market, and just a few minutes' walk from Formosa Boulevard Station. The room was super clean, and despite its small size, it had a sofa, a TV, and essential amenities like a hairdryer. Just remember to bring your own toothbrush as they don't provide one. It was a great stay, and I'll definitely choose this place again when I'm back in Kaohsiung.

The sea is just opposite the B&B. It is clean, comfortable and has no musty smell. The bed is so comfortable that you won’t want to leave. The delicious breakfast is even better. I took breakfast with me to see the sea, and I relaxed while eating. It was the most enjoyable day of my life.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the train station. The owner was incredibly friendly and, during check-in, enthusiastically shared recommendations for authentic Hualien eateries that locals frequent, even pointing out which restaurants had 'hidden' menu items. While checking in, I even met Hualien locals who were staying there for a holiday...

The hotel left a very positive impression. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff was especially friendly and helpful, always available for any questions or requests. The design is fantastic and the location is superb. The only drawbacks are that you have to wait for the hot water tank to refill after using the bathtub, otherwise there won't be enough hot water for a shower, and the soundproofing isn't great. However, overall it offers excellent value for money.

The environment is clean and hygienic, very convenient, the bed is very comfortable, and there is an elevator. It's only a 3-5 minute walk from Dongdaemun. Although there's no butler service, it's very convenient to enter and exit by scanning a QR code.

CClymene LimThoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sun Palm B&B. Have written this review in English, but we communicated with them in Chinese. We stayed at this B&B during the tourism off-peak season (March). Service - Amazing. They were very responsive on Line, and quick to reply. They were also helpful with our requests/questions (e.g. fetching service to and fro airport, car rental service, traffic road conditions in Penghu) and were polite. They also gave some advice on what can or cannot be done (e.g. we wanted to cycle around Penghu, but they advised us saying Penghu was too big to travel on a bicycle). The driver was always punctual when picking us up, and when sending us to the airport. In fact, he was already there, with the car ready, minutes before we were supposed to leave for the airport - we didn't even need to remind them. The lady boss was very friendly - when we first arrived, she asked if we were new to Penghu (it was our first time), and she introduced where to explore in Penghu, and what to eat. She also told us that if we wanted to do water activities, we can approach them, and they can make a check with the centres to see if they are open since it was off-peak season for tourist activities. We also had some extra request regarding the check out timing, and she helped us with it too. Before we arrived, they also tested the car we wanted to rent, and upon finding out that it wasn't working as well, they provided us with another car instead - this is certainly good service. They also cleaned up the room upon request, and re-stocked the fridge with drinks. Food - The breakfast was amazing and fresh (see photos). On the first day we had bread + doughstick + egg with spring onion all in one package. It was delicious. On the second day, we had vermicelli and seafood (e.g. squid, prawns). The seafood was really fresh, and the broth was simple and tasty. Each dish was accompanied by fresh fruits / pastry + drink, which was refreshing. Room - We got the Starry Honeymoon Room. It was very spacious, the room was clean, the amenities were in good condition, and the overall design was aesthetically pleasing. The heart pillow on the bed was a cute addition, and the round bed was big enough for 2 of us. Above the bed there was a window covered with a retractable screen - you can actually look into the sky while lying on the bed, really interesting.  Location - While this B&B is further away from the main city, we didn't feel that affected as they provided airport transfer services. Also, we felt that it being away from the hustle and bustle from the city was actually advantageous, as the B&B's location had a more relaxed, quiet, holiday vibes, which was what we were looking for.  There is a 7-11 around 10 minutes from the B&B, so if you need food etc in the middle of the night, you can get it from there. We rented a car, so travelling to other areas wasn't much of an issue. Overall, I will recommend this B&B to anyone looking to tour Penghu! Am glad to have chosen this B&B for our first ever trip to Penghu :)

NNguyen Do Nha UyenAfter coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time. Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊 Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away. ⸻ ⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe. Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃. 🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy) Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here. If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️

OOKTCGOWe had 3 nights at Harmony in a room with no window, but it did not feel claustrophobic at all. We did have trouble finding it due google maps playing up and we ended up at the sister hotel further up the hill. Thankfully, one of the owners ran up the hill and met us to take us to the correct one Entry to the hotel is a pain when it pouring down with rain while trying to input your details for the QR code. But this was clearly detail in the listing descritption and previous reviews had mentioned this. A huge help would be to to put a larger sign identifying the hotels location. See photo with circle around the name…. Very easy to miss. During the stay, it was very quiet and extremely clean in possible the best location to old street. Literally 30 seconds away. Walk a little bit further and theres a 7-11 and family mart across the street. The wifi is w10/10 so very good for digital nomads. I highly recommend harmony and would definitely stay again.

CCChuanyouceA very satisfying stay! Please go to this place, everyone! Environment: I heard that it was a house left by a general, so it has the most unique roof in the neighborhood. I also heard that the house was over a hundred years old and was renovated this year. It’s really easy to take pictures inside. You can take good photos from every angle, and there is a small yard in the front and back. Then there is a back mountain nearby, and in front is the well-preserved Zhushan settlement. It is very comfortable to walk around when you have time. Cleanliness: The entire B&B was very clean and I felt very comfortable when I stayed there. Facilities: The facilities are very complete, even the hair dryer is from Daisen (only small suggestion, I hope it comes with conditioner) Service: The boss and the landlady are really nice people. We got in touch before we went there, chatted a lot, and gave us a lot of help and suggestions. They provided free pick-up and drop-off for arrival and departure. They also gave us a lot of recommendations and suggestions when we were in the local area. Help, and later we chatted and heard that they met and got to know each other when they were working as tour guides in Xiamen, and then they also owned a small shop in Jincheng Town. They are a very hard-working family.

YYanapatra WinaisiwilaiI had visited Jiufen, Taiwan once before, but this second trip truly exceeded expectations. The view, the atmosphere, the service, and the host’s attention to detail were all absolutely outstanding. The scenery from the accommodation was breathtaking — truly a million-dollar view! The room itself was spacious, almost like staying in an entire house. The price per person came out to just a little over 1,100 THB, but what we received was far more valuable than what we paid. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, offering us detailed travel suggestions and making us feel as if we were staying at a friend’s home. What touched us the most was that, on the day we left, the host even rode a motorbike to personally drop us off at the bus stop. It’s the little acts of kindness like that that make a place unforgettable. 「這是我住過最難忘的民宿之一。」 我之前曾經去過一次台灣九份，但這次的第二趟旅程真的超出期待。無論是風景、氛圍、服務，還是房東的細心程度，通通都令人驚艷。 房間的景色美得像一幅畫，簡直是百萬級的風景！房間非常寬敞，感覺就像住在一整棟房子裡。每人換算成台幣約一千一百元左右，但實際收到的體驗與照顧遠遠超值。 房東非常親切又貼心，不但詳細介紹當地景點，還讓我們感覺像是住在朋友家一樣溫暖。最讓人感動的是，離開當天他還特地騎摩托車送我們到公車站。 正是這些微小卻真誠的舉動，讓這段旅程更加難以忘懷。 “เป็นอีกหนึ่งที่พักที่ประทับใจมาก ๆ” ผมเคยไป Jiufen (จิ่วเฟิ่น) ไต้หวันมาแล้วรอบหนึ่ง แต่มาทริปรอบที่สองนี้ต้องบอกเลยว่า ทั้งวิว บรรยากาศ การบริการ และความใส่ใจของเจ้าของที่พัก คือสุดยอดจริง ๆ วิวจากที่พักคือหลักล้าน! ห้องพักว้างขวางมาก รู้สึกเหมือนอยู่ในบ้านทั้งหลังเลย ราคาต่อคนเมื่อเทียบเป็นเงินไทยตกประมาณ 1,100 บาทนิด ๆ เท่านั้น แต่สิ่งที่ได้รับกลับมากกว่าราคาเยอะมาก เจ้าของที่พักน่ารัก ใส่ใจ ช่วยแนะนำสถานที่เที่ยวอย่างละเอียด ทำให้เรารู้สึกอบอุ่นเหมือนอยู่บ้านเพื่อน และตอนวันกลับ เขายังอาสา ขี่มอเตอร์ไซค์ไปส่งเราถึงป้ายรถเมล์ด้วยตัวเอง เป็นความใส่ใจเล็ก ๆ ที่น่ารักและน่าประทับใจมากจริง ๆ

台台中阿源The reception staff was very friendly. I didn't have dinner there. The equipment was a bit old. Breakfast was available the next day, but it was simple. There was nothing special to order. I had thick slices, boiled eggs, and tomatoes that day. The air was pretty good.
