FFatma NabihahOut of all the hotels I stay in Yunnan this is the best by far. This is why I think the stay is great :
- the owners are very friendly and helpful, he helped me to book ebike, gave us the locations that we can go for ebike, we explore the Napa Lake via ebike and it was mesmerizing
- he picked us up and send to railway station for free
- the location is superb, around 15-20 min drive to railway station, walking distance to guishan park, and also in the ancient Dukezong city where we can stroll around at night
- a lot of halal food nearby
- the room is so nice, they have smart toilet with bidet. The shower is heavenly, the shower pressure is perfect. They also have portable O2 if you need it
- a lot of malaysians stays here and the owner was very patient talking to us with a translator
- During our stay, all of his guests were malaysian.
Thank you so much to the owners for such a pleasant stay.

RRakdoiLove this place, when you return back to the hotel their lovely dogs will run out to greet you at the gate, there is a huge grass area for them to play, and the sheep are so cute too. You can see Shika mountain from the property. Room is beautifully decorated, and so comfortable too, with the heated bed, floors and soft bed & sofa. Staff is friendly and quickly responds to queries on WeChat as well, and he fetched us to and from Shangrila train station which is nearby which we appreciated. This place is near Napa Sea, we rented electric bikes from a nearby hotel and had no issues booking Didi to the old city. Thank you for the loveliest stay.

AAnon__I had an excellent stay here! The property is peaceful and beautifully maintained, with a surreal environment and animals roaming around, which added to the charm. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept.
A special mention goes to 小八. He assisted with our luggage upon arrival (very helpful as the property does not have lifts), and personally ferried us on both check-in and check-out days. Their thoughtful service made the entire experience seamless.
Another highlight was the nightly desserts, which were both delicious and a wonderful surprise. Overall, the service was top-notch, the environment tranquil, and the hospitality outstanding. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

CChoyWe started our journey from KUNMING to Dali and from DALI to LIJIANG, LIJIANG to SHANGRILA. This hotel provided us the warmest welcome. Super pleasant and helpful staffs that provided excellent services. Room is clean and floor heater is provided. Although the hotel is under some minor renovation but nothing much to be affected. We are so suprise that the hotel have a 360 degrees roof balcony. Excellent overview of whole SHANGRILA no matter day or night. Breakfast is delicious serve with porridge, bread toast, eggs omelet, and coffee. We are 100% satisfied and happy to stay there. We believe that after the renovation, the hotel will be more gorgeous. Keep up good job mate, thank you for your warmest hospitality. Very much appreciate. All the best in future. Take care. Cheers 😀👍

GGuest UserThis is a guesthouse I absolutely adored. They offer a convenient pick-up and drop-off service, and the owners and their entire family are incredibly warm and welcoming. Their son was also very kind, genuine, and trustworthy. It's a place brimming with personal touch and genuine hospitality. Breakfast and afternoon tea are provided, and the entire guesthouse is equipped with smart facilities, making everything super convenient. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. I stayed for two nights and had a wonderfully restful sleep every single night. I genuinely love this guesthouse! I really can't emphasize enough how wonderful the family is – the hosts, their son, and even the kids all made me feel incredibly welcome and right at home. I truly hope our paths cross again someday!

GGuest UserPerfect location facing Napai Lake’s grasslands—breathtaking views! Rooms were fantastic with ultra-comfortable beds. Loved the projectors for family movie nights after exploring Shangri-La.
Minor suggestions:
- Service felt occasionally strained via WeChat (e.g., room service requests). A touch more hospitality would enhance the experience.
- English/Mandarin manuals would help guests navigate the smart room tech.
- Consider eco-friendly alternatives to disposable towels.

GGuest UserI must say the location is a bit rural and the road quite patchy. But i just love how the host treat us. She welcome us warmly, provide us tea, snack and even heat up our room since we were so late from our town detour. Temperature in Xianggelila is crazy cold, but with the warm room ready for you, just feel like home. She even provide us pick up/drop off luggage at the north ancient gate. The inn even got a best mountain view. Room spacious. I love it. Hope the construction around the area be done soon. It will be much better.

KKatieHLovely hotel in the quieter area of Dukezong Ancient Town. Staff were very friendly, room was extremely large and clean and it had a beautiful view overlooking all the rooftops of the town and even the giant prayer wheel. I would definitely recommend staying here. We visited in winter and the heating was also very good. We hope to return one day.

RRoszaimyThe hotel was initially confusing to find. Apparently the signage at the front only says Liudeng Inn (see photo). When I was lost my way, a kind lady approached and brought me to the correct property. Turned out she was the hotel owner. No idea how she could have noticed and followed me on the busy street unless she's already familiar with the confusion involving foreign travelers. The room was fantastic. A space heater was provided. For the two single beds, there were electric heating pads as well. Wifi worked fine mostly, just the occasional slowness. Hot shower worked fine, although needed finite adjustment as it got hot and cold in tight tolerance. Just behind the hotel lies the old town so things were easy for exploration. On the street fronting the hotel, I saw 3-4 halal (qingzhen) eateries as well. Ate at two of them.

GGuest UserParking at the inn was convenient, and the front desk service was excellent. I absolutely adored the large floor-to-ceiling windows! They have many room types, and I mistakenly booked two different rooms. Thankfully, we arrived early and there were still rooms available, so we just paid the difference to upgrade. Our upgraded room was spotlessly clean, very quiet, and had fantastic soundproofing, ensuring a good night's sleep. A major highlight was the cafe, which transforms into a bar at night where you can enjoy a drink. The bartender even made a special, off-menu cocktail for me – it was incredibly tasty! The next day, the owner went the extra mile by driving our car to the trailhead's finish point for our hike, which was unbelievably convenient.
