Booked this hotel as a pre-cruise hotel that was convenient to airport with free shuttle. Also chose this hotel as they allegedly had a buffet breakfast. Even pgined hotel to confirm the breakfast and how much it was. What they FAILED to tell us was that the breakfast was ONLY on weekends. Shoukd have been a detail to disclose, without having to be asked, if was in fact every day. Airport shuttle was as expected: runs every 1/2 hour (pickup at airport @15&45 min after the hour, departs hotel on the hour and 1/2 hour.). Check-in went fine, HOWEVER...arrival at assigned room we could hear the air conditioner ”screaming” a squeal so loud we could hear it in the hallway before we even opened the room door. Had to go back to front desk to get reassigned. We never had occasion to try to use our room phone, until day 2, when we discovered it didn't work. Called for maintenance, who offered to replace phone, then came back and said he couldn't. (Now can't get a wake-up-call for early morning departure, unless we were willing to move and change rooms AGAIN!) And to make it worse, maintenance couldn't get the alarm clock to work, either, and he had to replace it too. On-site restaurant is decently large, with decent menu, but prices are outrageous! ($20 for a burger!) All hotel staff were warm and friendly. NOTE: For being a traveller's hotel, very disappointed rooms do NOT have in-room safes. Over-all, could have stayed at the Crowne Plaza for only $7 more. We'll be sure to stay at the Crowne next time.

This is an absolutely gigantic hotel, inside and out. If you do not know how to read a map then this wouldn't be for you. There are 6 floors and many different elevators that do not all lead to the same place. Finding your car or even getting outside takes about 20 mins. Be prepared to walk a lot. It's also extremely packed at all times, and as expected the prices are higher than normal. It is centrally located, on the boardwalk and many things to do. But make sure you add lots of extra time. Also not all staff can give directions either which makes it difficult. Takes a couple days to get acquainted.

I chose this hotel to stay late during a trip to Orlando with friends. It was clean and it was nice that there was a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. However, the sound of the radiator in the room was loud and a little annoying, and the front desk staff was not very friendly (but they answered all my questions in detail, so there were no inconveniences).

It was a little confusing at first because Homewood suites and Hampton inn was listed at the same property. But we are glad that we chose Hampton as it was cheaper but also shared the same amenities. The rate was decent and for the quality. It was a little bit out of the way to get to the city but the bus was accessible and it's supposed to only take about 30 minutes or so to get to the city.

Although the hotel is old, the quality is good, the price is not expensive and breakfast is included. There are many green plants and a swimming pool. There are many children walking on weekends. The rooms are all pharmacy and the sound insulation is poor.

Book the king suite for my son bday. The door that divides the other side of the room was broke. Pull out matress felt like a jail bed. For that price thought room would be better

I stayed here the night before an early flight out of Newark. The front desk lady, had a great attitude and she was so friendly and helpful. She assisted me with a food delivery driver that was “lost” and when he never showed, she gave me a tip to a restaurant that would deliver. She proactively got me set up on the airport shuttle. The morning of my flight, the two ladies working in the lobby greeted me and offered to assist me with the shuttle. They offered a to go snack since I was leaving before breakfast. Then they chatted with me and other guests waiting for the shuttle. The hotel was sparkly clean and smelled nice and fresh. There was tea/coffee and cookies in the lobby and snacks for purchase.

The location of the hotel is great, it is very close to Manhattan, you can go there in 10 minutes by bus or ferry. I would like to thank the receptionists Kevin and Latif separately.

I will never use trip.com again. I booked 2 nights with them months ago, knowing that I had a free cancellation/modification window. I read all the fine print, I contacted customer service to confirm everything. About a week before my window was closing, I tried to modify to 1 night. It would not let me. After FIVE DAYS of contacting them, I finally got it modified. Had I not continued to contact them, this never would have been resolved. THEN, upon checking in at the hotel I was told (even though I prepaid trip.com) that the hotel was never paid by the supplier. Therefore they would not check me in and I spent almost an hour on the phone with teip.com to have it resolved. Totally ridiculous.

Besides the kids knocking on the door and then leaving and screaming. It was ok

overall the hotel was not bad it smelled amazing as soon as you walked in…the room was beautiful only thing i didn’t like was this big white thing inside the room which was kind of weird.Bathroom was beautiful but my toilet seat was really loose.There was a centipede in my room that totally freaked me out…a couple hairs in my bed and in the shower.Breakfast says it starts at 6:30am i went up to the 9th floor exactly at 6:30am and the lady who made the breakfast said it didn’t start till 7am.So i waited came back and ate and the food was horrible literally the sausage was dry and the potatoes were not fully cooked.I give this hotel a 3.8 review just minor changes that’ll make it a full 5 star.The picture i attached is of the centipede that freaked me out.

We loved how close it was to downtown and very close to Penn Station to take the train to NYC. It was clean and bright and their restaurant was very nice. The staff was not very friendly. We got locked out of our room because the battery was dead. They could not replace the batter so we had to back up all of our stuff and move rooms. We did not get so much as an apology from the staff about the inconvenience. When I talk to them about the room change I asked if they could make sure the fridge was plugged in since we would be out when the room was ready. The front desk guy just said ”you will have to ask housekeeping to do that” I had no access to housekeeping to ask them. The evening front desk staff was very nice.

The living environment is ok, there are more black people around. When walking on the road at night, I often meet them yelling. The only thing I do n’t understand is that the website order said that I paid all the fees. I swiped my credit card to register that night I was $ 20. I did n’t return it after leaving the shop. I did n’t have time to negotiate. I did n’t understand the cost.

Location :across the street from the new jersey performing arts center.. Walking distance like 5 mins to lots of food like pizza... burger king... chicken.. African.. Starbucks.. Dunkin donuts.. Shopping rainbows.. Like 6 other clothing places.. 3 hair stores... About 3 nail waxing n lashes places.. New Jersey Museum 15 min walk... 7 eleven.. Military park 1.min walk.. Prudential center 15 min walk.. Newark Penn Station 15 min walk also Amtrak is inside there.. Great location 15 car ride to new jersey garden mall Shuttle free:on the hour at the airport take the airtrain to P4 then go down stairs there's phones for robert treat n Tryp call and they will. Let you know when it's comin.. Rooms: the first queen room they gave me smelled like smoke I had to wait an hour for a new room... Customer service :very helpful Restaurant : very nice food prices reasonably good 15 for burger n fries which us normal

Facility a little old, could hear water rushing in the pipes. A large party breaking up at 2AM woke us up. A/C was good. Overall very clean. Appreciated the breakfast, but the coffee wasn’t good. Just being honest!

To get to the hotel wasn’t easy for the fist few times. Complicated. But to opposite direction to the airport was much faster and easier. Quieter than expected even though located near the airport.

It is surrounded by highways, so it is extremely difficult to get there by car. The shuttle vans from the airport are black and white, making them difficult to distinguish.

Stayed here after a late night flight into EWR. The hotel had a free shuttle that picked us from the airport. The staff was very welcoming despite our late check in and short stay. Rooms were clean and comfy!

Very average and dated. Toiletries in the bathroom were not replaced initially. Pros: super close to train station and shopping.

My room was 486 directly over the Yard. I had to call and ask what time the Yard clised as they was still open and playing the music at 1:30am. If you book a room be sure and adk upon check-in where it's located if you plan on sleeping.

Great location service was great I want to say the only thing that might have been bad is that their ice machines didn't work oh yeah and the elevators are very very slow they need to upgrade them parking kind of scary if you come at night you have to drive to an Alleyway ticket to the parking lot of the hotel

One of my favorite places to be! I love it here. Only thing that would or could make it better would be so sort of ****** action. Actually I just thought about a way to make them stand out from all the other hotels but I don't think printing it here would be a good idea...wonder who I should talk to??🤔🤔

The location was perfect. Being just over 5 miles from Atlantic City makes it ideal if you need public transportation, the bus picks up directly in front of the hotel and there is a train a little over a mile away. Overall we found the hotel to be clean and the staff friendly and accomodatig. The breakfast however, should be avoided, as it felt like they purposely tried to save as much money as possible while technically still being able to advertise the meal. The rooms were average size but were perfectly comfortable. Overall a good stay!
