AAnonymous UserTotally regretting for booking only 1 night in this fabulous accommodation. Quiet neighborhood except the guests next to my room decided to talk about their life stories in the outdoor balcony until wee hours which is really inconsiderate. The receptionists and staffs are really friendly and helpful during my stay making this extremely memorable. One time disposable towels and slippers are my favorite amenities in this accommodation!

GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy. It's only about a 10-minute taxi ride to the subway station. They even thoughtfully prepared some small gifts like hair ties and clips. It was also very convenient to get to the Panda Base the next morning; there's an electric tricycle right outside that takes you there for ten yuan, saving a lot of travel time.

RRosamund LauThe front desk staff were warm, friendly, and provided excellent service. When I checked in on September 4, 2026, the special receptionist, Mr. Su, was very attentive and helpful, even carrying my luggage to my room. The stay was fantastic. We stayed in room 1025, which was beautiful, very clean, smoke-free, and had fresh air, so we slept very well. The room was quiet, and although there was heavy traffic outside, the view was expansive, offering beautiful city views The room had a window that could be opened and closed. The air conditioning was in good working order, fully functional, and could be manually switched on and off, so there was no need to worry about the room being too cold or too hot; the temperature was well controlled. The television was in good working order and fully functional. The cleaning staff were also very warm and friendly. The weather here varies every day; it can be hot, warm, cold, or even drizzling. Regarding the laundry room, I used it every day, the washing machine and dryer were both very good and easy to operate. You could choose an 18-minute or 30-minute washing cycle, and the drying cycle could also be controlled with buttons, choosing 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on the clothes. I'm very grateful for the newly added electric kettle in the room; it's beautifully designed and very durable—I've never seen anything like it before. The hotel's location is excellent. You can walk directly to ICBC Bank, the International Finance Centre, Taikoo Li, Chunxi Road, Metro Line B, etc. It's like a shopping area with many vendors, but I ate many unique foods and fruits that I'd never seen or tasted before. Some fruits were cheaper than in Malaysia, like blueberries. Cash payments are accepted, and every shop and vendor will give change. Google Maps cannot find your hotel, but the GPS location on the Amap app is very accurate. Your hotel link points to the Mercury Hotel, but Google Maps can only show the location of the Mercury Hotel. The Ibis Hotel only has two elevators connecting to the Mercury Hotel's four elevators. The breakfast buffet is excellent, offering local, Western, and Asian food, all very fresh. This is my review for you here. I will also write the same positive review on Google and Trip.com. I will check out before 12 noon and tidy up the room before leaving. Regarding Mr. Su, I may have mistranslated his surname. I apologize, Mr. Su, your first and last name may be incorrect. Thank you again.

GGuest UserFive-star review! I’m truly impressed with my stay at Xishu Hotel. From the moment I checked in, the front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient. Their professionalism made the whole process smooth and pleasant. The room was spotless, well-designed, and comfortably arranged. All the facilities were modern and well maintained, and the attention to detail was excellent. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept very well. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is relaxing, and the public areas are kept in great condition as well. Whether it’s cleanliness, service, location, or overall convenience, everything exceeded my expectations. I genuinely couldn’t find any flaws during my stay. I will definitely choose Xishu Hotel again next time I’m in the area and will gladly recommend it to friends!

GGuest UserA rare artistic designer hotel in Chengdu, this three-story standalone building is tucked away in the city center, offering a quiet escape amidst the hustle and bustle. The minimalist black and white design with copper and gold accents, along with the artistic walls in the common areas, the spiral staircase, and the heated pool, all make for perfect Instagram-worthy shots. The room is exquisite, featuring a comfortable KingKoil mattress and Carnation bedding for a great night's sleep. Details like the TOTO smart toilet and custom-scented toiletries are a nice touch. The service is warm and attentive, with a welcome gift upon check-in and a complimentary sweet soup before bed. Both the Dandan noodles and the Western brunch for breakfast are delicious, and they even provide a thoughtful map of local eateries. It's only a 3-minute walk to the subway, which takes you directly to Kuanzhai Alley and Taikoo Li, making getting around incredibly convenient.

AAnonymous UserThe room is cozy! Toilet is clean and the shower pressure is strong. They provide alcohol wipe, ear plugs and even ensure that the room is sanitised (there’s a card beside the bed). You can still hear some noise from the corridor but the earplugs help. The hairdryer is from laifen. Location wise it’s just a short walk from exit F (stairs only at this exit though) of Chengdu Second People's Hospital Metro Station (line 4 & 3. It’s an interchange station so you get more options for your train travel which is a big plus). Walkable distance to chunxi road and there’s even 2 small supermarkets just 1-2 mins walk opposite the hotel. The washing machine and dryer works well and there’s laundry detergent provided too

MM637684****We booked a quad room, and the service was excellent! The only thing that could be improved is the hot water for the shower; it wasn't hot enough. Overall, we were very satisfied. A big thank you to the front desk staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, for their superb service. Facilities: 4.5 Cleanliness: 4.5 Environment: 5 Service: 5

WWhy_yuThe room was very clean and tidy. The laundry room allowed for washing and drying clothes, and parking was also very convenient as the hotel has its own parking lot. The service was excellent, and the staff helped direct us to a parking spot.

JJinshuiWe chose this hotel in Chengdu based on three priorities: 1. a good buffet breakfast 2. laundry facilities 3. Good value Service (Standout) The front desk team was exceptional. A special thanks to the petite lady manager and her colleagues, who were incredibly patient and helpful in assisting us with our delayed airline baggage. Traveling with foreign passports often adds extra steps and complications, but they went above and beyond—helping us coordinate logistics, book tickets online, and recommend places to visit. Their service and attitude genuinely rival those of front desk staff at luxury five-star hotels. Room & Laundry The room is set up like a mini efficiency, with a small countertop, a mini fridge and a kettle. A very practical feature is the sink located outside the bathroom—great for families, as one person can get ready while another is using the bathroom. Even better, there’s a personal washing machine in the room, which is rare at this price point. Laundry detergent packets are available for free at the front desk. The only downside is that you’ll need to bring wet laundry to a shared dryer on the ground floor. As is common in China, the dryers are not well-vented and can shrink clothes. We found it best to partially dry cotton items and then hang them up in the room. Thankfully, the room is equipped with drying poles and hangers, which makes this easy. Housekeeping The housekeeping aunties were warm, professional, and kept the rooms very clean. We requested a very late checkout (almost 4pm), which delayed their ability to service the room, but they handled it without any complaint or poor attitude. This level of professionalism is impressive, especially for a 2–3 star property. Breakfast The breakfast spread was generous and tasty. Typical offerings included stir-fried noodles or rice, buns, sweet potatoes, pastries, fresh fruit, porridge, and a rotating Chinese dessert soup (like green bean soup). The highlight was the made-to-order noodle soup with a fried egg. However, our stay coincided with the Qingming Festival, and the hotel was fully booked. Breakfast ends at 9:30am, but by 9:00am, most trays were already nearly empty and not replenished. We were left with very limited options. Even basic items like milk were not refilled—my son had soy milk instead, which unfortunately contained nut flavoring and triggered a serious allergic reaction. This was a major issue. During peak periods, the hotel should better anticipate demand and ensure food is replenished until closing time. Facilities & Extras Like many properties in China, the elevators felt dated and often had lingering smoke. The hotel does provide standard amenities such as bottled water, disposable slippers, and toothbrushes. One thing we really wished for: a microwave—at least in a shared/public area. It would make a big difference for guests staying multiple days or traveling with families. Location & Access The apartment offers free parking and is in a decent location, with shops and restaurants nearby. Like most places in Chengdu, Although not in the main tourist drag, like some of the more popular hotels, a 15–30 minute Didi ride would get you to major tourist areas. If you are comfortable, they also have public bicycles for rent, for those shorter distances. The building is set back from the main road, which is great for reducing noise—even with windows open. However, many Didi drivers are reluctant to enter the parking lot, so pickup and drop-off can be inconvenient, especially with luggage. Bathroom Issue One notable flaw: the shower design. Water inevitably splashes out due to poor sealing of the shower door, leaving the bathroom floor wet and slippery. This makes it inconvenient—and potentially unsafe—to use the toilet or sink afterward. We reported the issue, but it wasn’t addressed during our stay (likely due to the holiday period). Overall This hotel offers excellent value, especially with its in-room washer and outstan
