APA Hotel Ueno Ekiminami is are in a good location that is a 4 minute walk from the Ueno station.
"Good location, close to the train station and Ameyoko Market. Fully equipped according to standards. Cleanliness should be improved. No housekeeper came to clean. The table in the room was dusty. The staff were slow and did not provide much service when leaving luggage."
Ueno Station Hostel Oriental 1(Men Only) is a 5-minute walk from JR Ueno Station and a 3-minute walk from JR Okachimachi Station. It offers compact and luxurious private rooms for you to enjoy your own time.
All rooms are equipped with a TV and free Wifi. You can spend your time in your own space. The facility includes a 42℃ high-temperature large bath, a bath that generates ultrasonic waves through bubbles, a vibra bath, medicinal baths, and a radium spring that promotes metabolism by enveloping the body in bubbles. A large bath is the best way to relieve fatigue. Pouring water over heated stones produces steam that envelops the body. The balance of temperature and humidity creates a good "löyly" (steam bath). "Iki" in Finnish means "permanent, eternal." By skillfully manipulating fire and water and stacking a large number of stones, the sauna's origin "smoke sauna" was modeled to create the steam bath.
"The location of the hotel is great very close to the Metro station, JR and plenty of shops and restaurant around. This hotel offers an onsen facility as well.
Easy access for all the attractions in Tokyo. Inside the room they maintained the tatami status. No shoes allowed. There are locker for baggage and keep your shoes and your belongings."

The capsule is spacious, though it would be great if there were hooks to hang things up.
a little cumbersome to go up and down using the 1 lift.

"**Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommend!**
This hostel exceeded my expectations! The staff were friendly, professional, and kept the place spotless. The living room was cozy and inviting, with free coffee/tea options, a TV, and laundry facilities—perfect for relaxing.
The capsule bunk was spacious, with ample storage and an extra privacy blind for comfort. The mattress was high quality, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the daily towel changes—a nice touch!
Location was ideal: within walking distance to Senso-ji Temple, train stations, Lawson, FamilyMart, and a grocery store.
Overall, an impressive stay—I’d definitely come back!"

"I had a wonderful stay! On my last day, I met some amazing people, which made the experience even more special. Everything was spotlessly clean. On the top floor, there’s a cozy café area with unlimited tea and coffee, open to both hostel guests and café visitors. The space offers a stunning panoramic view of the city from both sides.
The showers were excellent — you can choose from a variety of shampoos and conditioners, and there are plenty of hairdryers available. Lockers are located outside the sleeping area, so you don’t have to worry about making noise and disturbing others.
I also found the elevator system quite unique: there were three elevators — one that served only the women’s floors (capsules, lockers, and bathrooms), another for the men’s floors, and just one that reached the ground level for entering or exiting the hostel.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend staying here, and I’m sure I’ll choose it again for my next trip to Tokyo!"

"Very convenient located, just 7 minutes walking from Shinjuku station. Small and cozy as Japanese hotels usually are. Super friendly stuff. Clean rooms. Not noisy from the street.
Plenty of restaurants and shops around.
The coffee shop next door serves the breakfast, if not including in the room charge, than it cost 1,800 ¥ extra."

"Exceeds expectations. Very clean place, every day there is a thorough cleaning (for someone it can be a problem because there is no access to capsules from 10 to 14). Included breakfast is a sandwich and a drink in a nearby coffee (it’s okay but mind the price of included breakfast, maybe you can find something better). Inside the sleeping space it’s cool and quiet - just all you need for a good nap)"
The hotel is located at the to e asakusa line with convenient transportation. It only takes 5 minutes to walk from the line to the hotel. The hotel is located near the ni ten mon of the asakusa Temple. The straight-line distance between the hotel and the asakusa Temple is about 150 meters. The hotel has rooms all of which can see the street view, some of which can see the sky tree, a variety of restaurants around which can be selected, and drugstores and convenience stores are also available.
"The location of the hotel is OK, very close to Sensoji Temple, about five minutes to the subway station, there are many restaurants around, drugstores, Don Quixote, Uniqlo, and direct subway to Ginza and Shibuya. The only drawback is that it is a bit small, but Japanese hotels should be like this. You have to stand in the bathtub to take a shower, and it is easy to accumulate water. The sanitation is not very clean. When I first entered on the first day, there were other people's nails cut on the bed... Overall, the price-performance ratio is OK"

Very Good
GGuest UserOne of the advantages is the proximity to a nearby subway station, numerous restaurants, a McDonald's just a minute away, and many convenience stores. You can easily walk to the main street, making the subway almost unnecessary due to the hotel's advantageous location. However, the downside is that the hotel has a vintage feel. The hotel doesn't use key cards but rather physical keys that look like something from a century ago in Europe. Additionally, the hotel has a curfew, which could be a significant drawback for younger visitors.

GGuest UserCheck in process was smooth, allowed early check in for a fee (if there is availability). Bed was clean. Female only levels were 6F and 7F. Was staying on 6F. Toilets on same floor 6F, but have to go to 7F for shower. Initially felt it was troublesome to wait for lift to go up to 7F to shower (only one lift for all floors), but got used to it. Hairdryers available on 6F. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided in the showers. Have 4 shower cubicles on 7F, but somehow throughout my stay, I didn’t have to wait whenever wanted to shower, there was always one cubicle available. Showers were generally kept clean as well by the guests.
Overall pleasant experience staying, the few troublesome matters were having to take out shoes at entrance (change to indoor slippers), only one lift and the locker space is decent but can’t fit cabin luggage (have to remove my items in my cabin luggage to fit into locker, and luggage crowded the area)
CCarlvinI had a great 5-night stay at the hostel where it is bound to be lively at the ground floor. If you’re that kind of person that likes small talks, this would be a perfect place for you to stay!
The room is overall perfect; I have ample space to pack my luggage. You may opt to choose whether you want a high floor and whether you want to be away from the lift, which I thought was a nice gesture. Cleanliness is decent, especially the toilets.
The staff is so friendly as well! They accommodated to my requests and questions, and frankly the experience of interacting with them is much different than the typical business hotel staff.
Although, there are a few pointers to take note (not negative but perhaps if you’re nit-picky about them):
• Walls are definitely not soundproof. You can hear people walking along the corridor (with some chatter), and they can hear your TV volume.
• You only have two hooks to hang your clothes. Considering that I had a towel rental, it would be nice to have a separate hanger for the towel.
• They won’t do housekeeping daily unless you request for one. I was fine without one since I don’t stay for long.
• Nearest station is roughly an 8-minute walk which isn’t too bad; however if you have huge luggages, you would need to overcome the bridge across the rail tracks. Don’t worry, there are elevators available.
• Not much food options around, but there are near by convenient stores. Might be worth exploring the area if you want to grab a meal, especially the nearby station.
I would definitely recommend this place if you are on a tight budget but also wanted your own private room (instead of a capsule bed). Hope to come back another time!
KKJGood for solo traveller and accessible to 7-11 & restaurants. Room cleaning every day from 11 to 3pm, overall the restroom & capsule was clean.
Tips for improvement on the USB charger in the capsule, will suggest to install a wall outlet instead for fast charging for laptop or hp.

PPICHEWA_I had planned to go to the SEVENTEEN concert at Tokyo Dome, so I was searching for a convenient place to stay. This hotel, located just one station away and a short walk from the station, was the perfect find. The area is well-served with convenience stores, restaurants, and vending machines.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. I checked in before my concert and left my luggage in the room, so I didn't have much time to take detailed photos.
The room itself was quite compact, measuring only 6 square meters (approximately 2x3 meters). However, it was perfectly adequate for a solo traveler and I was able to fit my 28-inch suitcase on the floor.
The bed was a fold-out and wasn't the most comfortable, but it was good enough for a one-night stay. The room wasn't as stuffy as I expected, and the air conditioning worked well.
A small desk and chair were positioned near the window, and the curtains could be opened for natural light while getting ready. The desk wasn't huge, but it was quite long and could hold plenty of belongings. A TV was mounted on the wall next to the window, but I didn't have a chance to check it out.
The room also featured a large mirror, clothes hangers, and a double-sided clothes rack. If you had a lot of luggage, you could store items on the upper shelf.
The shared shower and bathroom facilities were clean and well-maintained, with two of each on each floor. There were also double sinks. Basic toiletries like soap and shampoo were provided.
You can purchase a Metro Tokyo pass directly from the staff at the lobby. The hotel also offers various activities and services; feel free to inquire with the staff for more details.
DDaria GutsenI stayed on Dec 1-3 with a friend and we totally loved this hotel. The host kindly explained to us everything about the facilities and the rules and gave each of us 2 pairs of slippers (for the room and the corridor/toilet area). Also free wi-fi and comfortable check-out time (11:00, which lets you to calmly have a breakfast and prepare the baggage).
Amazing location near several metro stations. Room had enough space and was very lovely and comfortable, public toilet and bathroom were clean. Also in the shared area of the hall there was a big table, hot water, free instant coffee, milk and tea. Also the microwave. I'm planning to stay here again next time beacause this was one of the best hotels with a low price I've visited on my trip.

RRuttanun CThe location is excellent comparing with reasonable price, it’s my first time staying at Asakusa. The Cherry blossom tree is at the front of the hotel which is really nice views. I can walk to Asakusa-walking street and Senso-ji temple that not far from hotel.
will back to visit here again definitely.

GGuest UserOverall the building is brand new but tiny entrances with strps up to the lift level before it takes you to your floor. Very inconvenient to carry anything heavy up and down (strollers and luggages alike). What we really didnt like is that one of the days we realised a stranger (definitely not the guests in our next door unit) was able to enter into our floor and our gate (card access only to each floor) which is very unsafe! Make sure to lock your room door promptly everytime after opening.
Our room for 4 was in another building away about 3mins walk from the main building where reception is. Reception service differs depend on which lady is on duty. The lady with fluent English is helpful, patient and friendly compred to the other who was impatient with us when we notified that housekeeping did not top up our in room amenities (green tea and coffee) for a couple days then.
Our mini apartment of 2 single + 1 double beds comes with a mini kitchen + dining area which is great as there are many cooking appliances included. However windows of all 3 days open up to the next door buildings, cant really open all the way without peiple looking in.
There is supposed to be housekeeping but we finally made a request to vacuum our floor after 3 days as all the snacks left behind by oyr kids were just left on the floor, in pieces or crushed powder format or swept under the beds... apparently cleaners only magic sweep the floor everyday. Also, if you need your beds made, need to put in special request too.
Kids like the area which is where we are.familiar with, Shinjuku Gyoemae, nearby the garden. Not nearest to amenities but there is a 7-Eleven within steps away from our building. We will definitely.come back again for the right price.

KKrzysztofLocation in reasonable distance from Shinkuju station and close to Shinkuju Sanchome. Service was very helpful and English was very communicative. The only one issue was that they requested 500 yen for calling a taxi. Clean rooms and corridors. 1AM-6AM hotel is closed. Positive opinion for solo travelers spending time outside and using hotel mainly for sleeping and washing.

DDariaLocation and the host were totally good. Of course, capsule hotel has some inconveniences (you don't have enough space to store your stuff and you can only give it to the host on the 1st floor and they put it into a baggage room, also there is no ventilation in the capsules and in some of them there was too hot so the hot allowed my friend to change capsule). But the worst experience here was because of our capsule neighbour on the 3rd floor (so I can't blame the hotel) - she was obviously out of her mind, went to the toilet every 5 minutes and spent huge amount of toilet paper, so in a couple of hours she used up all the toilet paper on our floor. The host came and replaced the new paper - but in 2 hours it was the same way...
