If you're looking for an affordable and good-quality place to stay, I highly recommend this hostel.
Although it's a hostel, it offers a surprisingly high level of privacy and ample space, so you won't feel cramped.
I arrived before the check-in time and the staff kindly allowed me to leave my luggage. Finding the place wasn't difficult, but it's a bit of a walk from Shinjuku Station. If you have heavy luggage, it might be tiring, but there are underground walkways and elevators available, so it's not too inconvenient.
I stayed here for 5 nights in a 6-bed female dorm. The room was clean and spacious enough to fit a 28” suitcase, and the beds were quite large. As a larger person, I found them very comfortable and didn't feel cramped at all (I slept on the bottom bunk).
The bathrooms were clean and had both showers and bathtubs. Liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hairdryers were provided, so you don't need to pack them. If you don't want to bring your own towel, you can rent one from the hostel.
The kitchen is quite small but has a microwave, refrigerator, and sink. There weren't many dishes available, but I think you could ask the staff if you need more.
The laundry room has two coin-operated washing machines and two coin-operated dryers. I used them late at night, so I didn't have to wait in line. If you don't have any coins, you can exchange with the staff.
The common areas on each floor have plenty of seating for guests. There are also multiple power outlets available if you need to charge your devices.
There are Lawson and 7-11 convenience stores nearby, which is very convenient.
Cons (personal opinion):
- Unfortunately, on one of the nights I stayed, the fire alarm went off several times in the middle of the night. I think there was only one staff member on duty that night. The guests and I tried to find the cause of the alarm but couldn't find anything. When I asked the staff, he didn't know either. It might have been a malfunction of the system. Luckily, there wasn't actually a fire.
- If you're sleeping on the bottom bunk, even if the top bunk has curtains, the light still reflects off the wall, which can be disruptive to your sleep.
At Jing House Akihabara Ryokan, exceptional service and top-notch amenities create a memorable experience for guests. Complimentary internet access is available in the hostel to ensure you stay connected during your visit. Accommodations come equipped with all the conveniences required for a restful night's slumber. A selection of rooms at Jing House Akihabara Ryokan come furnished with air conditioning to cater to your needs and comfort. In certain chosen rooms, a refrigerator is conveniently available for your use. All adore a delightful cup of coffee! An on-site coffee shop ensures you can relish a cup of authentic, freshly-brewed coffee every morning -- or whenever you desire it.

My son and I stayed here together.
It was as small as we expected, but it was uncomfortable that both of our futons were damp.
We had no issues and the breakfast was delicious, so we rated it as average.
The location is inconvenient for public transportation, so we'll have to consider it carefully before using it again.

Great stay experience!
I chose JAZ Ueno Store for this trip in Tokyo and I was really satisfied. The location of the Hostel is very convenient. It is only a few minutes walk from Ueno Station. There are convenience stores, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The life function is great.
The room is clean and tidy, the design is full, it is the kind of youth hostel that is simple and a bit literary. The beds are comfortable and the public area is quiet and warm. My favorite is the lounge, where you can read a book and have a drink, very relaxing.
The staff was very kind, the Japanese and English communication was very smooth, the check-in and check-out process was very smooth, and I recommended nearby food!
I will definitely choose here next time I come to Tokyo, I highly recommend it to friends who like quiet and design accommodation!
This is a men-only dormitory with a 24-hour unmanned front desk and a self check-in system.
It is located 1 minute on foot from JR Sugamo Station on the Yamanote Line. There are restaurants, convenience stores, and drugstores in the neighborhood, making it a very convenient location.
The beds are separated by curtains, and the common area is furnished with desks, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, shower rooms, toilets, etc. Wi-Fi is available for free.
Long-term stays are also welcome.

I recently stayed at BEE-HIVE Sugamo (Male only) for two nights and had a great experience overall. Upon arriving at Haneda Airport, I took the Keikyu Airport Line to Shinagawa Station and then transferred to the Yamanote Line, which brought me to Sugamo Station. From the North Exit, it was just a short 2-minute walk to the hotel.
Check-in was self-service, and it was easy to navigate. My room was clean and came with a towel, toothbrush, and disposable slippers, which was a nice touch. However, I found the space quite compact—it’s difficult to move around inside the room, as it’s very cozy.
Despite the limited space, the price was reasonable, and the services provided were good for the value. If I visit Japan again, I would consider staying here once more. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at BEE-HIVE Sugamo.

A wonderful place for solo & budget traveller! It's very clean and comfortable. The hospitality of staff there surprising me. All the staff can speak fluent English and even Bahasa Indonesia, they're just sooo nice! WOW!
Plus, as all tourists know, sometimes we spend a lot on storing luggages in the train station, but the hostel offering free luggage storage for guests who's flight is at night after they checked out the hostel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! will sure come back again next time when I come to Tokyo.❤️❤️❤️

The location was really good. It was near the train station, grocery and of course Sensoji Temple. There are also a lot of restos nearby. The area around it is pretty quiet at night. I had a bit of a culture shock with the public bath but their onsen was amazing.
The beds were decent, it gets a bit cold at night but the blanket really helps a lot.
The room itself was okay. Not that big but all good. We were able to put our luggage inside the room and we had safety lockers to store our valuables in. Every floor has their toilet..
Overall, it was a good experience.

Japanese hotels are small. The rooms are average, and the mattresses are directly on the floor. The check-in time limit is very strict. The sanitary conditions are acceptable.
Environment: The location is relatively convenient, and you can walk to the subway in ten minutes.
Service: Normal.

DdolenieI enjoyed my stay here, it delivered everything you’d expect from a capsule hotel. The location is perfect, and the other guests were generally quiet and respectful, which made the experience pleasant.
Overall, the cleanliness was totally fine, though a few small details might not meet the expectations of more meticulous travelers. Nothing that impacted my stay, but good to keep in mind.

GGuest UserCheck in process was smooth, allowed early check in for a fee (if there is availability). Bed was clean. Female only levels were 6F and 7F. Was staying on 6F. Toilets on same floor 6F, but have to go to 7F for shower. Initially felt it was troublesome to wait for lift to go up to 7F to shower (only one lift for all floors), but got used to it. Hairdryers available on 6F. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided in the showers. Have 4 shower cubicles on 7F, but somehow throughout my stay, I didn’t have to wait whenever wanted to shower, there was always one cubicle available. Showers were generally kept clean as well by the guests.
Overall pleasant experience staying, the few troublesome matters were having to take out shoes at entrance (change to indoor slippers), only one lift and the locker space is decent but can’t fit cabin luggage (have to remove my items in my cabin luggage to fit into locker, and luggage crowded the area)
CCarlvinI had a great 5-night stay at the hostel where it is bound to be lively at the ground floor. If you’re that kind of person that likes small talks, this would be a perfect place for you to stay!
The room is overall perfect; I have ample space to pack my luggage. You may opt to choose whether you want a high floor and whether you want to be away from the lift, which I thought was a nice gesture. Cleanliness is decent, especially the toilets.
The staff is so friendly as well! They accommodated to my requests and questions, and frankly the experience of interacting with them is much different than the typical business hotel staff.
Although, there are a few pointers to take note (not negative but perhaps if you’re nit-picky about them):
• Walls are definitely not soundproof. You can hear people walking along the corridor (with some chatter), and they can hear your TV volume.
• You only have two hooks to hang your clothes. Considering that I had a towel rental, it would be nice to have a separate hanger for the towel.
• They won’t do housekeeping daily unless you request for one. I was fine without one since I don’t stay for long.
• Nearest station is roughly an 8-minute walk which isn’t too bad; however if you have huge luggages, you would need to overcome the bridge across the rail tracks. Don’t worry, there are elevators available.
• Not much food options around, but there are near by convenient stores. Might be worth exploring the area if you want to grab a meal, especially the nearby station.
I would definitely recommend this place if you are on a tight budget but also wanted your own private room (instead of a capsule bed). Hope to come back another time!
GGuest UserVery close to the subway station, there are convenience stores across the road, MisterDonut and Yoshinoya, very convenient;
The front desk has English service, the instruction manual also has a Chinese version, and the communication is very smooth;
The environment is very good, the capsule and the toilet and bathroom are very clean. There were many people on the day of check-in, but basically no sound was heard in the capsule, and I slept very well;
There is a coin-operated washing machine in the public rest area, the drying function is very good, you can wear it after taking it out;
Overall, I am very satisfied, and it is a highly recommended capsule hotel for this price

GGuest UserIf there are three people, then this hotel is a good choice. After all, the price is very attractive. There are three single beds, a large space, a large whiteboard, two toilets and a bathroom, and enough power outlets. There is a Family Mart next to it. It is very close to Jimbocho subway station. It is not as convenient to go to Akihabara as imagined. You have to walk one or two kilometers, but you can go directly to JR to most places, so I recommend it. I personally went to Noon to watch live, so it was very suitable.
LLEESUNHOI recommend it to those who travel alone.
Above all, the neighborhood was quiet and nice (the area around Akasaka Mitsuke Station is noisy because there are many bars, but if you take a walk towards Tokyo Midtown, it's quiet and nice. Of course, the area around the hotel is quiet and nice.), and since it's located in the center, Ginza, Tokyo, Shimokitazawa, Shibuya, Roppongi, and Harajuku are within 25 minutes by train, so I was able to visit many places even though it was my first trip abroad. (It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to walk to Tokyo Tower.) Of course, I think the noise problem is inevitable because it's a capsule hotel. However, considering the price I paid, I think it's worth it. I had a great trip for 4 nights and 5 days. Nine Hours Akasaka also helped me a lot in making my trip a great one. If I ever travel to Japan again, I think I'll come back. 🙇🏻♂️

WWorld_WandererSelf check in kiosk with space for large-sized luggage deposit at the check-in area (unmanned). Once you have the bed number and key number (ie door lock number), you must take a photo in case you keyed in the wrong email and it didn’t get to you. Lockers are available inside the dorm, and a small table and clothes rack if u need to hang your items. Hangers can be found lying around, and you are provided with one pair of disposable slippers to use. Very and walking distance to Shinjuku station. Lots of shower rooms and toilets too, just that it’s for all gender and no specification for bath or toilet or capsule bunk bed. A great choice for budget and fuss free travelers.
The young lady mending the hostel counter (open only for specific hours) is also very helpful and can speak some English. She helped me with a note which basically says I need help to get to the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal. Once I’m on the way in the underpass, I got further help and direction towards the terminal (15-18 mins walk from hostel, pls buffer more time if you have luggage with you)

DDariaLocation and the host were totally good. Of course, capsule hotel has some inconveniences (you don't have enough space to store your stuff and you can only give it to the host on the 1st floor and they put it into a baggage room, also there is no ventilation in the capsules and in some of them there was too hot so the hot allowed my friend to change capsule). But the worst experience here was because of our capsule neighbour on the 3rd floor (so I can't blame the hotel) - she was obviously out of her mind, went to the toilet every 5 minutes and spent huge amount of toilet paper, so in a couple of hours she used up all the toilet paper on our floor. The host came and replaced the new paper - but in 2 hours it was the same way...
DdanthetravellerI had an issue with finding my bed (201) as I entered into the hostel with no staff. A few minutes later, I figured out that it’s on the 2nd Fl. (No signs indicating that there’s a 2nd FL.) The mold in the bathroom might be a problem for some guests, tho. What happened during my stay was … the bathroom light went out after 7 minutes of showering, not sure why or what caused it. But I liked the fact that everything was just “on your own”. I think Japanese hotels have adapted this self-check in for the most convenient and cost-effective. It’s 2 minutes walk to Ōtori Station and I can reach Haneda Airport in 15 minutes. I recommend this dorm-like hostel.
