"Great location, near asakusa metro station, plenty of restaurant nearby, can do midnight shopping in donki nearby, cleanliness is alright, toilet available in every floor, photo taken is attraction nearby steps away. need to pay extra for towel and slippers, it doesnt have private shower, you have to be naked in bathhouse, which might be a cultural shock for some people. The another red flag was you cant store your luggage after checkout, which is a troublesome for me as i was planning to go to narita at night :/ and i have to find coin locker somewhere else They said checkout is 12pm, but they removed my stuff to common luggage area in dormitory at 11am :/ Its recommended to stay if you are on tight budget, otherwise you still have many other choice to consider."

"A wonderful place for solo & budget traveller! It's very clean and comfortable. The hospitality of staff there surprising me. All the staff can speak fluent English and even Bahasa Indonesia, they're just sooo nice! WOW! Plus, as all tourists know, sometimes we spend a lot on storing luggages in the train station, but the hostel offering free luggage storage for guests who's flight is at night after they checked out the hostel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! will sure come back again next time when I come to Tokyo.❤️❤️❤️ Extra info. 500yen for one time washing (detergent included), 100yen Drying clothes for 10mins"

NnaivecloudOur stay in Tokyo at this hotel near Kinshicho was absolutely fantastic, and I cannot recommend it enough! The location is ideal – just a 10-minute walk to Kinshicho Station, which connects you so easily to the rest of the city. Around the station you can find everything you need: shops, restaurants, convenience stores, and even entertainment. It made exploring Tokyo simple, comfortable, and stress-free. But what impressed us most was the room itself. From the very first moment we walked in, everything felt clean, modern, and thoughtfully arranged. The design is simple yet elegant, with warm touches that make it feel like home. The apartment-style layout was incredibly practical – a spacious living area with a comfortable sofa and pillows, a large table perfect for working or enjoying a meal, and a bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep after busy days in the city. The curtains blocked out light perfectly, and the lighting in the room was cozy yet bright when needed. The kitchen was a wonderful surprise – fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and even an electric kettle. Having this option made our stay even more comfortable, whether we wanted a quick snack or a home-style breakfast before heading out. The bathroom facilities were also excellent. Everything was spotless, the shower and bath were modern and easy to use, and we especially appreciated having a washing machine – such a valuable convenience for a longer stay. The separate sink area with a wide mirror and good lighting was perfect for getting ready. Every detail of the room showed how much thought was put into the comfort of guests. It wasn’t just a place to sleep – it truly felt like our own Tokyo home. The atmosphere was peaceful, the furniture was comfortable, and the overall cleanliness and organization exceeded our expectations. Staying here made our Tokyo experience even more enjoyable. We always looked forward to returning to the room after exploring the city, knowing it would be a clean, calm, and welcoming space. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Tokyo, especially around Kinshicho, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Perfect location, wonderful facilities, and a beautiful, well-maintained room – it’s everything you could want for a comfortable and unforgettable stay.

OOctaviane Stefina EnggraWe checked in around 11 PM, and staff were still available, making the process quick and smooth. The lobby offered comics and other entertainment. Free breakfast was also served from 5 AM to 10 AM. While some noise is unavoidable, light sleepers can use the provided earplugs. For me, someone who falls asleep the moment my head hits the pillow, it wasn't an issue at all. The bathrooms were spotless and fully equipped. You could arrive with absolutely nothing and be perfectly fine.

MMiray ÖzI had a wonderful stay! On my last day, I met some amazing people, which made the experience even more special. Everything was spotlessly clean. On the top floor, there’s a cozy café area with unlimited tea and coffee, open to both hostel guests and café visitors. The space offers a stunning panoramic view of the city from both sides. The showers were excellent — you can choose from a variety of shampoos and conditioners, and there are plenty of hairdryers available. Lockers are located outside the sleeping area, so you don’t have to worry about making noise and disturbing others. I also found the elevator system quite unique: there were three elevators — one that served only the women’s floors (capsules, lockers, and bathrooms), another for the men’s floors, and just one that reached the ground level for entering or exiting the hostel. Overall, I would absolutely recommend staying here, and I’m sure I’ll choose it again for my next trip to Tokyo!

GGuest UserI'm glad I booked only one night and thought to see if it's ok to stay for other. No, it wasn't ok. Although bed was fresh, everything else was questionable. Buskets in shower are full of dust. I didm't want to put my clothes there, but there was no shelves or hangers. I checked in right in check-in time and there already were hairs near my bed and in showers. Toilets smelled bad, there was no sanitizers! Nothing for personal hygine. Switchers in shower also covered by dust. Dust near mattress and walls. No soundproffing in the room. You hear every step, every movement of somebody's suitcase. Capsule looks very modern, but there are 2 thin metall pieces and this all what separates you from neighbours. And they were a bit banded. So if your neighbour has light and you don't, you will still have it until the neighbour turns it off. They have such huge fees for everything unpropried in a room, but do nothing about sound. They don't even give you an instruction to be quiet. So when group of chinese girls checked in, it looked like it was their room because they spoke too loud for hostel. Public zone just was. They are just places where you can seat and eat. Stuff was also 50/50 friendly. But I didn't have any problems with that. The place also talks about Sustainable goals. But giving everyone single-use slippers and put them in a same locker as your shoes - not sustainable at all. You should better clean the place so no one need to use slippers. Or at least provide normal reusable alternative. Overall, it's just a cheap hostel in very touristic area which doesn't care about imrovement because the spot will continue to attract new costumers. Definitely not recommend.

GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at the 9h nine hours Akasaka. The pods were comfortable and clean and the location was very convenient. However, the common space for eating was really small. The locker space was very crammed. They also won’t store your luggage after you check out so if you’re planning to do something on between the check-out and your flight/train you need to take your luggage outside.

GGuest UserThe location is great, the metro is maybe 1 min walk. By metro your only a few stops away from any big attractions. And after a long day in the city you can come back to enjoy the onsen. The only bad thing I can say about my stay was the someone in the capsule across from mine snored so loud it was nearly impossible to sleep.

MmariahnStayed for 2 nights. The capsule hotel was alright for its price, since we only spent about 25 dollars for a night on the Women Only floor. The capsules themselves were pretty clean and spacious, especially convenient if you have the lower bunk. The capsules were assigned to us randomly though. They are pretty soundproof even though they close with just a curtain, but I didn’t hear anyone’s alarm or anything like that, plus you must be quiet in the capsule area. So if everyone is abiding by that rule everything should be fine. There is a built-in alarm in the capsules and a pretty smart lighting system with a lighting intensity control knob. The shower cabins were just a bit dirty, only two of them on the floor, but we never had to wait to use them. There were lockers for each capsule on the floor, pretty convenient. The “kitchen space” on the first floor was very small, we never ate there. Just a general lack of common space in this hotel - you can only sleep here, or sit in the rooftop “bar” (which we also didn’t do cause it was still too cold in April. If you’re like us who spends their whole day walking the town and don’t mind eating in cafes or anywhere else than it’s for you. If you would like to dine or work in the hotel then find a place with a bigger and more versatile common space. In the shower you can use common shampoos, soaps and conditioners, as well as hair dryers, but stuff like toothbrushing kits, razors, ear plugs - you can only buy it at the reception desk. We didn’t use the laundry room either because it’s these usual japanese laundromats which wash and dry only for about 30 minutes but cost 200 yen each + you must still pay for detergent (at the reception desk as well). But all in all, it’s a great budget hotel for its price. Not too dirty and pretty convenient. About 10 minute walk from the metro station, but you shouldn’t cut through the neighborhood and take the long route instead to avoid countless red light establishments, as this area looks dangerous to walk at night, if you’re a woman.

RRuttanun CThe location is excellent comparing with reasonable price, it’s my first time staying at Asakusa. The Cherry blossom tree is at the front of the hotel which is really nice views. I can walk to Asakusa-walking street and Senso-ji temple that not far from hotel. will back to visit here again definitely.

GGuest UserI wrote a longer review of this place that covers the basics. After I ended a business trip I decided to stay on in Tokyo so just rebooked at this spot on the app. It seems like the staff here run bookings mostly with a hand written ledger --- when I mentioned to them I was staying longer they just made a note of it and then left me a message when it was confirmed, very chill. Overall the staff at this place were pretty great. I was there for two weeks and in the time I was there I saw maybe like ten different people working there. As an English speaker, sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was never really a problem, and there is clear signage about all of the most important policies all over the place in English, Korean, and Chinese. It was always a friendly experience, most of the ppl working there were older with a kind of caring auntie vibe, so that was fun. At one point I asked to move bunks because a guy on my floor was super sick, and they arranged it with no hassle or fuss, which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place for the staff.
