"We booked this room for my parents since they had an early flight out of Terminal 3 the next morning. The room's amenities, size, and service were all excellent. It's directly connected to Terminal 3, so they were there in just 5 minutes the next day. Plus, we could bring the luggage cart right into the room the day before and just roll it out in the morning. The hotel service was incredibly good and super fast. The mini-fridge was fully stocked with all sorts of complimentary drinks, teas, and alcohol, which was a really nice touch. The room was a good size, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view before a connecting flight. Right below the hotel, on the second floor, there's a mall with plenty of shops, and on the first floor, there are many restaurants. It's very convenient for both shopping and dining. I highly recommend this hotel."

"The property is conveniently connected with Shinjuku Metro Station through an underpass, which makes travel very easy and comfortable for guests.
However, I would like to highlight one inconvenience. There is no mobile charging facility or electric socket available near the reception counter. Many times, guests arrive after long journeys, and the non-availability of a charging point near the reception causes inconvenience, especially while waiting or completing check-in formalities."

"Main problem was the room has a very strange smell - seems to be from the sink. Improved after we plugged it. The noise from the metro is really loud - like even with earplugs you will hear the entry/exit music playing. Breakfast: they have a big coffee machine but we have to drink office coffee from a jug. Breakfast itself wasn’t quite to our taste (because of inclusion of UPF cheese slices). Finally, the self service check in and check out is weird - one staff spends the same time coaching us how to do it as they would spend to just check us in. If we don’t plan to take up future employment in a hotel reception, then this training is superfluous. I’d rather they just check us in."

"The rooms were clean and tidy, and the lobby staff were warm and professional. They offered free coffee and hot water in the lobby, and upon check-in, each person received a complimentary beer or other beverage of their choice. I've stayed here three times this year, making this my fourth visit to Mitsui Garden Hotel Toyosu.
Since it was a weekend during the National Day holiday, the room rates were quite high. A standard king-size room was over 2400 yen per night – truly Tokyo prices!
The view, as always, was stunning. Although the room was small, it was very comfortable.
Previously, you could pick up facial cleanser, makeup remover, and skincare products yourself. Now, a fixed set is provided in the room daily. Other toiletries can be collected at the elevator entrance in the lobby.
This Mitsui Garden Hotel is incredibly popular! It wasn't this crowded on my previous visits. This time, the rooms were fully booked, and the lobby was often packed. I have to admit, its location is absolutely superb, making it incredibly convenient for everything from dining and shopping to transportation."

On the 1st day, I forgot my stuff on Shinkansen so after checked in I asked short hair lady staff (I don’t know her name but I really wanna say a big THANK YOU to her) to help me to check it. "The hotel's location is excellent. You can sit in the lobby and enjoy the night view of Tokyo Tower, and it's within walking distance of Ginza for shopping. Plus, there are two FamilyMarts and one 7-Eleven right downstairs, which is super convenient.
However, the room was incredibly small. After putting down two suitcases (one large, one small), I couldn't even open the fridge door, and there was hardly any space to move around.
The service was subpar. The charging socket by the bed broke at night and couldn't be fixed. They suggested we move to another room of the same type, but it felt like too much hassle, so we didn't. We didn't book a room with breakfast, but we walked in and ate. Later that night, we found a collection letter from the hotel at our door, as if we were going to skip out on the bill? Don't guests usually pay upon check-out? It's not like we didn't pay a deposit. How desperate for money do you have to be to send a collection letter? It was a terrible experience! On the other hand, there wasn't even an apology for the broken charging socket that couldn't be fixed promptly. The service was really bad!"

The lobby is located at 20th floor, no comments on the bf as I only booked the room without bf. Check in and out are effortless. Staff is friendly and approachable. Amenities in room are plentiful and abundant. All shampoo, conditioner and bath lotion come in big bottles so it is more than sufficient for use. Inside bathroom, you can control the volume and listen to the TV you on outside so it is very useful. In room has the Alexa which you can easily communicate with it for anything of interest to you. Besides, the hotel is very conveniently located, near to Shinjuku station and the nearby shopping malls. The room is huge and comes with bathtub and it has a balcony area too. Highly recommended for staying here in Tokyo. You will not regret definitely!

Enjoyed my stay there - the access to cable apps, self-service washing machines (with locks so no one can get to your clothes), strong shower pressure, heated toilet bowl, close proximity to train station and plentiful malls… Perhaps the management would consider having a gym in its Shinjuku hotel. 😊

The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Akihabara Station, making it super convenient to get there with luggage in just a few minutes – perfect for first-time visitors to Tokyo. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so grabbing a bite or exploring in the evening is a breeze. While the room wasn't huge, it was well-designed, clean, and tidy, with enough space for my luggage. The soundproofing was also better than I expected, allowing me to sleep soundly. The front desk staff were very professional, and communication in English was no problem; both check-in and check-out went smoothly. Overall, it felt like a consistently reliable and comfortable hotel, one that you can count on not to disappoint. If your itinerary mainly involves exploring central Tokyo, especially areas like Akihabara, Shinjuku, and Ueno, this place is an excellent base. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Ssulee17Dormy Inn Ueno-Okachimachi boasts an excellent location, being just the shortest walk from Ueno Station. On our way, we even spotted a Torikizoku sign, and we ended up dining there one evening. Of course, with so many restaurants right across from the hotel and in the surrounding area, my 'choice paralysis' definitely kicked in!
The main reason we chose Dormy Inn was for its large public bath, complete with complimentary popsicles and Yakult after a relaxing soak. Breakfast was also fantastic; the fried shrimp in the morning was absolutely divine. The breakfast was so substantial that we stayed full throughout our two-day stay, meaning we even skipped their complimentary Yonaki Soba (late-night ramen) in the evenings.
The hotel only has one elevator, so there was a bit of a wait during peak hours. From our room, we had a view of the Tokyo Skytree. Despite being right next to the Shuto Expressway, there was absolutely no traffic noise, which speaks volumes about their excellent soundproofing.

There's a corner in the lobby with various alcoholic beverages where you can mix your own cocktails. It's wonderful to fix yourself a drink after coming back from a hot summer day out!
They don't clean the rooms daily, which is great because you don't have to worry about being disturbed, and it's environmentally friendly. Fresh towels are hung on the door daily, so you never have to worry about not having clean towels.
If you need your room cleaned, you can just let the front desk know.

YYuehaihongdieThe hotel is a convenient 6-7 minute walk from Ikebukuro Station's underground exit A20. However, coming from the airport bus stop, it took us about 15 minutes. Dining and shopping options are plentiful and convenient near the hotel; it's also very close to some specialty shops.
There are many hotels of similar scale in the vicinity, most of them advertising their own hot spring baths (onsen). After comparing several options, this hotel stood out for its value for money, primarily because it offers triple rooms, which are quite rare in Japan. However, upon checking in, we felt that this type of triple room is really only suitable for families with children under 10. With my 15-year-old son, we were effectively three adults, and the room was so narrow that only one person could pass at a time. The window couldn't be opened, making it feel quite cramped and stuffy. The room layout was minimalist, but it came with plenty of power outlets and even a multi-head charging cable. Since there's a hot spring bath (onsen), most guests hardly used the in-room bathroom. Given the space constraints, walls in budget hotels are typically thin, leading to potential soundproofing issues. However, during our stay, everyone was very considerate, and we didn't notice any disruptive noise.
Compared to other hotels, the onsen here has extended opening hours, so you can still enjoy a relaxing soak even if you return late. The bath uses carbonated water. While the pool isn't large, the water quality was impeccably clean. Many of the hotel's thoughtful details are truly commendable. For instance, women checking in receive a complimentary, exquisite beauty and skincare amenity kit daily, with two options to choose from. There's welcome juice at the front desk. Additionally, every day from approximately 4 PM to 8 PM, a complimentary self-service drink bar is available on the 2nd floor, which is wonderfully refreshing after a bath. Furthermore, each floor features a 'pillow bar' where guests can select their preferred pillow, put on a fresh pillowcase, and return it after use.
Regarding room cleaning services: For consecutive stays, guests have the option to forgo daily cleaning, in which case they receive two complimentary bottles of water and fresh towels. If cleaning is desired, the 'Please Clean' sign must be displayed on the door before 10 AM, and service can only be performed after guests have vacated the room. The hotel policy strictly states that cleaning cannot be carried out while guests are present in the room.
Moving on to breakfast: it's primarily Japanese style. While the variety isn't extensive, it's very comprehensive and sufficient to cater to most palates, with the small pastries/breads being particularly delicious.
We had read previous reviews mentioning less-than-friendly front desk staff, but we personally didn't experience that at all during our entire stay. While they weren't overly enthusiastic, they were unfailingly polite and professional, always answering our questions thoroughly.
In summary: this hotel truly stands out among similar budget-friendly establishments. A plaque in the lobby proudly displays its recognition as a 'Most Popular Hotel' for several consecutive years, a title it genuinely deserves. Aside from the triple room being excessively small and feeling rather cramped, all other details and facilities were excellent. For a stay of two people or fewer, who plan to be out exploring during the day and simply need a comfortable place to sleep at night, this hotel comes highly recommended.

GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at the 9h nine hours Akasaka. The pods were comfortable and clean and the location was very convenient. However, the common space for eating was really small. The locker space was very crammed. They also won’t store your luggage after you check out so if you’re planning to do something on between the check-out and your flight/train you need to take your luggage outside.

GGuest UserAll procedures are streamlined, making checking in and out run quickly and smoothly. We got the type of room we asked for without a problem. There is also an excellent locker system for storing luggage. Very good location for several attractions we were interested in, as well as close to international cruise terminal. Several restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.

GGuest UserMy room was non refundable, booked room for several nights, but I had some urgent things and i had to leave. Liked my stay there. Will defenetly book next time. Room is quite spacious. There is airpurifier. There is a view from the window to the main street.
