Superior room was kind of small for 2A2C. One of us have to sleep on sofa. We should have booked a bigger room. Room was very clean and came with all we requried. Hotel overall was very good. Location was at Otorri Station which we need to figure out how to take train as it is our first time in Japan. Have family mart, 7-11 convenience stores nearby but not a shopping district. Not much food to eat nearby. Shuttle bus service available at certain time to haneda airport T1, T2, T3 for free.

The hotel blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comforts, offering a serene atmosphere that perfectly complements the beauty of Shinjuku
My room was spacious and impeccably clean, with elegant touches such as shoji screens and tatami mats.We also appreciated the high-tech amenities like a smart toilet, adjustable lighting. Classical hotel with modern facilities. We stayed in the Deluxe twin room, walk-in wardrobe with dressing table, bathroom with separate toilet, shower and bathtub, and two basins, bedroom with lounge, dining table and desk. There are both 110/240 volt power supply everywhere in the room, which is really convenient if you need to use equipment using 240 volt power supply. The room is huge, a total of 54 square meters!
Services were excellent, I called the hotel to let them know that we will be arriving around 7am due to the flight schedule, when we arrived at 6am, surprisingly, our room was ready to check in!
Restaurants were superb and the strawberry afternoon tea in the lobby was excellent. Hotel also has a full size gym, a huge swimming pool and a big spa as well.
Overall, it is a great hotel!

I flew back to Tokyo from Hokkaido at night. I checked in at about 8 p.m., then went out for dinner. I didn't come back until 0 a.m., and left at 7 a.m. to catch the 9 a.m. Narita flight back to Shanghai the next day. I spent a few hours here, but didn't have a complete experience. I booked it for 5,000+, and it felt not cost-effective. It was far from the downtown area. It cost about 300 yuan to take a taxi to Omotesando. The area around the hotel is very quiet, and some friends may like it. I think there are better options at the same price.

This is the most disappointing hotel I have ever booked at this price. There is no other.
Environment: It is opposite the US Consulate, so this area is very safe and quiet. The security level is also very high.
Facilities: The facilities in the room are relatively complete, but the drinks in the bar cost money. There is no explanation when checking in. Even the sign next to the bar is very small, and it is only placed next to the drinks, which makes people mistakenly think that the juice drinks in the refrigerator are free.
Gym: The most criticized thing is the gym, which is not 24 hours. It only opens at 6 o'clock in the morning. I just want to take a picture of myself in the mirror that day, and I didn't take a picture of others at all. The waiter kept staring at you and trying to stop you.
Breakfast: I read the comments saying that the breakfast is very rich, so I am looking forward to it. After all, the price range is 6-7000 a night, so I hope the breakfast will be amazing. As a result, there was a long queue when I went to breakfast at more than 7 o'clock, which was very uncomfortable. The dishes are also very average, not to mention rich for people who are fitness and fat loss. It doesn't match the price at all.
In addition, I didn't know that this hotel has a new building and an old building when I booked it, and I don't know if the front desk arranged the wrong room for my price. All in all, the experience was very bad and disappointing. I even wanted to complain to Ctrip. The price was very inconsistent with the actual experience!

The room is large, well-planned and comfortable. The courtyard is beautiful, with history and sedimentation. Although the facilities are old, they are not uncomfortable. There is a small hot spring, which is charged. Although it is small, it has complete facilities and is not bad. There was no Chinese service at the front desk for the two days we went there. We chose Japanese breakfast, which was very ordinary. It is a good choice for a short break and vacation.

We stayed in the traditional style Edo room. Trip.com was the only place that had availability of this traditional style room for us to book after hunting through many booking sites. The room was very spacious, beautifully and tastefully done. It has a tatami-style sleeping area but the material is synthetic tatami (probably for easier cleaning). The bathroom was awesome with two sinks and the tub with waterfall spout feature that cascades water down the shoulders and neck area while sitting in the tub. The hotel is quite new. Everything was in very good condition. The location is quiet even though it is close to everything.
LOVE the location. So close to Sensoji temple. The fantastic LIFE supermarket is just a block away. Short walk to the Ginza line which runs from Asakusa to Shibuya. The 24-hour Donki store is 5 minutes walk (if you love Donki, I don't but it has some useful purposes). The biggest highlight of the hotel location is that it is a short and relaxing stroll away from the most fantastic communal bathhouse (sento) called Asakusa ROX Matsuri-yu Spa. I love sentos and onsens and this one is my favorite ... so close to my favorite hotel in Japan. (We were in Japan for 5 weeks and went through so many hotels in smaller towns and giant cities).
Will definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!

AAnonymous UserI arrived early morning hence was only able to leave my luggage at the reception. Check in was at 2pm and the hotel was nice to accept my request prior to booking for a room on the ladies floor for security reasons and I am also a solo traveller. Amenities like toothbrush, comb and tea packets are provided at the reception too. My only wish is that I hope in future the Hotel can provide at least an international or English movie channel for foreign guests.

AAnonymous UserVery clean, spacious, the biggest room I got so far for single occupancy, able to open my suitcase n still got space to walk around comfortably. Very convenient just 7 mins walk to/from Ueno station or 4 mins to/from Okachimachi station. Kensei Skyliner to Narita airport just short walk from Ueno station. Good for last min shopping at Ameyoko Street (Uniqlo/GU, supermarket, Daiso, Donki, etc). Delicious & affordable Chirashi Don Sushi bowl (must have). They also catered free half portion ramen at night, yakult & ice sticks after Onsen (manga at the entertainment room). Definitely will stay again.

GGuest UserI love the location it’s super convenient. Staff are super polite and smiley.
Service wise is not good too many strange rules firstly, there is no phone in the room. In case u need one it’s near the elevator on each floor to speak to the staff.
The twin bed are way too big for us 2/3 of the room. I can’t even open my suitcase easily.
Only one elevator in this 14 storeys hotel right next to their emergency stairways. There is a sign saying if you are in a rush please use the stairways but we were on the higher floor and it’s so cold February a few degrees Celsius ???? Well no thanks I shall wait patiently then……
No daily cleaning service we stayed 5 nights the hotel offered one time cleaning during our stay. All the dirty linens and garbage have to be placed outside your door by 10am if new towels needed. Strangely one bottle complimentary water was given to 2 guests daily together in a bag of towels and slippers toothbrush garbage bags. Only one washing machine ¥600 35mins, dryer ¥300 60mins available (cashless payment only) Onsen too small and poor facilities.
