"I booked a twin room on the 4th floor for two nights and three days in late February for a university entrance exam. It felt like a studio apartment with an extra bed. What I liked: There were two glasses, a microwave, and a kettle, as well as cooking utensils and dish soap, so it seemed possible to buy groceries and cook at the hotel. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, but I could still take a bath (I'm 155cm tall and could bend my knees in the tub). The washing machine was a lifesaver; powdered detergent was provided, and there were about six hangers. The bathroom also functions as a dryer, so you can wash and dry your clothes. What I didn't like: It's unavoidable in a big city, but the stairs are very narrow and steep, making it difficult to go up and down with a large suitcase. The usable outlets were in the bathroom and next to the table, hidden between the wall and the bed, so they were inaccessible. If you need to charge your phone, I recommend a dual-charging adapter. The circuit breaker seems to trip at night; if you run the dryer continuously, it stops in the middle of the night. That's why I've given the facilities a minus one. The location was a bit hard to find, but it's less than a 20-minute walk from Ueno Station, and you can get to the Matsuzakaya department store and the Hirokoji Station ticket gate in about 3 minutes. There's also a convenience store nearby, which is very convenient. The hotel staff's service was excellent; even though it was only via email and phone, they were very kind and polite. They also offer luggage storage until 2 PM after the 11 AM check-out (you can leave your bags in the room). I also happened to meet the cleaning staff, who greeted me with a smile, which was pleasant. This has been a long review, but personally, I had a very comfortable three-day stay. I hope this is helpful for everyone."

"Honestly, I'm extremely disappointed with my stay at this hostel... But I'd like to point out that it was clean, the women's dorm had plenty of sinks, and the capsule itself had a curtain. Cons: 1. A huge negative for me is that the kitchen is only open from 8-9 a.m.; I'm not there during that time. I couldn't get in for four days, and the kitchen is important to me because I often cook for myself. 2. There's no common area/lounge area, so I had to eat outside by the door, in the cold. It's terrible. 3. You have to enter a code everywhere, on every door and even in the elevator. I was constantly afraid of losing my key with the codes. 4. Luggage storage is also only available until 9 a.m., which is inconvenient. Overall, if you don't need a kitchen, it's fine. If you do, it's a poor choice."
