YYexianchenPros:
① The hotel is located near a small river, and all rooms face the river. The river flows swiftly and clearly, and you can constantly hear the gurgling water.
② The skylight can be remotely opened and closed. I had hoped to watch the stars at night, but in April, it rained continuously in Jiuzhaigou at night, making it difficult to see them. You might need to rely on luck. However, during the day (especially in the evening, it works great), opening it makes the room super, super bright, which was quite a good experience.
③ The bathtub worked normally. We asked the front desk for two disposable bathtub liners. The water temperature was around 50-60 degrees Celsius. However, due to the high altitude and low oxygen levels, it's best not to soak on the first night. High temperatures can dilate blood vessels and increase heart rate, potentially triggering altitude sickness. It's much more comfortable to soak after a day of acclimatization to relieve fatigue.
④ The front desk staff were very helpful: On the wall downstairs, there's an example map of Jiuzhaigou (the recommended star-rated places were spot-on, you can experience it for yourself). The washing machines and dryers are right next to the front desk on the first floor. The staff proactively helped manage the laundry queue and drying. If it was too late, they would even deliver the dried clothes to our room door. When we messaged the front desk with requests, they basically replied instantly.
⑤ The shops downstairs are like a snack street in other places. Turn left out of the main gate and walk straight. After crossing an intersection, you can find a very cheap and delicious barbecue restaurant (about 150 meters after turning left from the hotel main gate), which is much cheaper than other barbecue places on the way from the Guoda parking lot – some barbecue restaurant owners even come here to eat after closing their own shops.
Cons:
⑥ The room might be smaller than expected, but it's sufficient. One or two of the facilities show that they didn't quite understand customer usage needs.
⑦ The TV screen mirroring was sometimes a bit laggy (possibly a Wi-Fi issue, but screen mirroring, of course, requires Wi-Fi).
⑧ The clothes drying rack in the room was purely decorative, but with a dryer, it wasn't really an issue.
⑨ The hotel is new, but the building is old (gained a new understanding: a skylight means it's on the top floor, and being able to see and hear the river from the top floor implies the building isn't tall, so it's likely not a new building). However, the new decor can compensate for this.
Please weigh these points yourselves.
All three pictures were taken around 6 PM on the bus into the mountains, showing distant snow-capped mountains and alpine meadows (?). Everyone can see Jiuzhaigou in photos elsewhere, but Western Sichuan itself is very distinctive and definitely worth the trip.
