"This hotel is located near Yangming Old Town in Shaoxing, with many restaurants nearby, making it very convenient for dining and getting around. The service from the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff was warm and responsive. The bedding in the room was clean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options. There was even a complimentary late-night snack, which was a thoughtful touch. However, the downside was that the room was too small, and the design of the bathroom was quite peculiar. It was already cramped, but the door design required opening and closing it four times to enter the shower, and you had to squeeze in sideways to get in and out. I doubt a larger guest would even be able to get into the bathroom! 😀"

"The hotel is conveniently located, and the room was tidy, clean, and comfortable. The service was proactive and welcoming. Breakfast offered a great variety, with delicious noodles, dumplings, and stir-fries. I'll definitely stay here again when I return to Shaoxing."
Xianheng Hotel
"This is one of the better hotels in Shaoxing, with excellent facilities across the board. Its biggest advantage is its proximity to Lu Xun's Former Residence and Shen Garden – it's literally at the best and closest spot right at the entrance of the scenic area, and also close to the subway. Regarding the accommodation, we booked a garden view courtyard room on the first floor. It was very convenient, saving us from constantly taking the elevator. There were a few more mosquitoes and it was a bit humid, but thankfully, we had two sunny days during our stay. Upon arrival, we noticed the bathroom sink was clogged, but the hotel promptly cleared it after we notified them, which was great. Now, about the restaurant. The menu wasn't extensive, but we tried some famous local dishes like Shaoxing Sanxian, Dongpo Pork, Stinky Tofu, and Drunken Fish. The dining service here is quite different from what you'd find in southern Guangdong. We weren't offered tea after sitting down; when we asked about it, the waiter just brought three bowls for tea. There were no napkins either. Basically, they don't offer anything unless you ask. After dinner, when we requested toothpicks, they pulled out a handful of loose ones and gave us one or two. It's hard to associate this kind of service with a five-star hotel. Perhaps for a second-tier city, this is as good as it gets, so one shouldn't expect too much!"
Shaoxing Xianheng Grand Hotel (Lu Xun's hometown Yintai store)
"Work wasn't busy, so I needed a vacation and decided to travel on a whim, which is why I booked this hotel. Later, a friend told me I'd booked the wrong one—there are two Xianheng Hotels in Shaoxing, one called Xianheng Grand Hotel and the other Xianheng Hotel, haha! In the end, I decided to book this one anyway because the high-rise view is so comfortable! The other one is garden-style. Facilities: The lobby looked a bit dated at first glance, but it was definitely comfortable and clean. The room facilities were quite unique, especially the louvered bathroom—it was so stylish! Cleanliness: It was very clean, and everything felt spotless; you could tell they took great care in maintaining it. Service: The concierge was very helpful, proactively carrying our luggage and bringing us things. His service was better than some other hotels! Environment: The hotel is very large. I went to the spa for a massage. My friend and I went, but for some reason, we had separate massages. We asked if we could share a room because I saw there were two beds, but the masseuse refused…"

"Very satisfied with this hotel! The facilities are excellent, with a fantastic gym and swimming pool. Breakfast was also great, offering a delicious and plentiful spread including omelets. I regret not taking photos! The room was spacious and very comfortable; I didn't want to check out. It was a wonderful stay, and I'll definitely choose this Novotel again next time I'm in Shaoxing for business. I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"The entire town has a charming Chinese aesthetic, with lanterns, moonlight, a lake, and small bridges – everything a photographer could dream of. The hotel is right by the river, offering views of the distant bridges, and in the evenings, a magical, fairy-tale-like mist rises from the lake, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The whole town feels ethereal, and the hotel's decor, rich in traditional Chinese style, blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Staying here, you get a real sense of the serene and free-spirited life of the town's inhabitants from earlier times. This trip was absolutely worthwhile; it was fantastic."

The room was clean, well-laid out, and the temperature was comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. A special shout-out to the front desk staff, particularly the one whose WeChat name is 'Yan Hua Xiang Mo' – her service was exceptional and her thoughtful arrangements for the room made my stay incredibly pleasant. "The location is excellent, convenient for getting around. It's on Laodong Road, a street lined with all sorts of restaurants and eateries, offering options for both casual dining and upscale dining. Attractions are all within walking or cycling distance. The interior is also very nice and stylish, with tasteful room lighting and bathroom facilities. The service is very friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and there's even evening soup and snacks. Parking is a short three-minute walk away, with both surface and underground options. The only downside is the poor soundproofing in the rooms; otherwise, it's impeccable."
