The hotel environment is not as bad as it is said on the Internet. The room aisles are very spacious, but the sound insulation effect of the door is too unfriendly. I was woken up by the shouts of children in the corridor at one o'clock in the morning. Breakfast, in general, can only be said to fill the stomach. The location of this hotel is excellent. Within walking distance or a short taxi ride, you can find restaurants complex/shopping malls. Its also fairly close to major tourist attractions.
Our room is very comfortable and spacious. What made our stay exceptionally pleasant is the staff here. Overall staff are very helpful, but our highlight is a staff called miss Dai. Our trip to the city of Shao Xing was rather a last minute one, so we didn't really know of the things are. Miss Dai, from the breakfast area, was very helpful when we asked her for advice. We were very happy with her recommendation.

The hotel is very good, we live in the old building. I asked if the front desk could be upgraded. Unfortunately, there was no room for the night I went there that day. But the old building is also OK, except for the road that goes a little round. The room is also OK, I feel renovated. There is a well in the hotel and there is well water in the room. After boiling it, I tasted it and felt really different from the tap water.
Breakfast is not bad.

It's a great place to let go of your ideal homestay. It's deep in the mountains, with a beautiful environment. It's where the gods live. The location of the garden is super good. There is a beautiful mountain view opposite, and 500 meters behind is a terraced field.
The lady at the homestay is very gentle. She immediately turned on the lights when I ate alone at night, and helped to heat up the dishes that were not finished at noon.
Bonfire rice wine and singing allow guests to relax after dinner.
The room is clean and tidy, and the mountains are visible when the curtains are opened.

I chose this hotel because it is pet-friendly, and I had never heard of Shangyu, so it should be less crowded. When I arrived, it was just as expected. The city is small and there are not many tourists, which is very suitable for relaxation.
The room on the first floor of the hotel has a small courtyard, and there is a mountain view opposite, which makes people feel physically and mentally comfortable; there is an underground parking lot for parking, which is more convenient; the location is quiet in the bustling city, and it is not far from the city; if you donât want to go out, you can also walk around the hotel; the overall service attitude of the staff is very good. Eeva424tyFirst of all, let me summarize, this trip was great. Special thanks to Butler Xiaoxia for her sweet smile and enthusiastic service. Other check-in experiences are as follows:
1. Transportation: At first I thought it would be difficult to drive on a rural road, but I ended up navigating a pretty good path, and I had no problem driving, so the journey went smoothly.
2. The hotel facilities and hardware are very good. I highly recommend the independent hotel. You can watch the sunrise in the room. Itâs so worth it. The facilities are basically five-star standards, the floor heating is very strong, and there are many thoughtful equipment, such as disposable bathtub mats, disposable toilet seat mats, alcohol wipes, steam eye masks, foot buckets, Dyson hair dryers, etc. You can put them in your luggage next time The burden is reduced.
3. Food. The dinner was booked in advance. It was quite satisfactory and the plates were very large and sufficient. I recommend the small wontons for breakfast. They are delicious. There are wolfberries in the wonton soup, which is so healthy.
4. Gift items: Although the afternoon tea is only Chinese style, it is still delicious and beautiful; the travel photography is very good; the hot spring bathing was too cold, so I gave up decisively; I did not make an appointment in the entertainment room and did not experience it; I saw my companion before leaving. The gift is heartwarming. Genting is worth a walk and seeing the distance...

NNayemThis hotel is one of my top choices in Shaoxing. The property is nearly brand new, and my wife and I stayed here for three nights during a business trip. It was a wonderful experience, and hereâs our detailed review:
We stayed on the 51st executive floor, specifically in room 5128, which offered a stunning lake view and an impressively spacious layout. The room featured a proper bathtub, his-and-hers sinks, and a separate section for the shower and toilet, divided by transparent glass partitions. However, the lack of privacy in this setup could be uncomfortable if youâre sharing the room with a colleague or business associate. Since I was traveling with my wife, this wasnât an issue for us.
Service: 9/10
Although most of the staff didnât speak or understand English, they made a genuine effort to ensure guests were happy. Language barriers in China are common, but using a translator app helped us navigate communication seamlessly. Night shift front desk manager Lynn was very helpful and spoke English properly. The housekeeping team was highly attentive and thorough, keeping the room spotless throughout our stay.

Breakfast was served at the Manhattan Restaurant on the 45th floor, offering stunning views. The buffet featured a great mix of Western and Oriental dishes, including a wide variety of cheeses, croissants, a self-serve ground coffee machine, fresh fruits, and a selection of dumplings.

The hotel is about 20 minutes from Shaoxing North Railway Station, which was convenient for us. However, the immediate surroundings donât offer muchâ the nearest convenience store is about a 8-10 minute walk. We used DiDi for all our trips, so this wasnât a major issue. For shopping or dining, Wanda Plaza Mall is about 12 minutes away by car, offering a variety of restaurants, including McDonaldâs, KFC, and Starbucks. We highly recommend trying Green Tea, a local restaurant on the mallâs third floor, for delicious food at reasonable prices.
Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Shaoxing.

GGabor87The hotel staff didn't speak any English at all, but they were quite helpful. The room itself wasn't cleaned and there was clearly visible dirt on the carpet, we also got used, dirty and smelly hotel slippers - I asked the staff by using translator to replace it and clean our room because it wasn't cleaned, the promised to do this. They changed our slippers to new ones but the carpet wasn't vacuumed properly again. Apart from that it was fine. Breakfast was nice, rooms are spacious. The check-in and check-out procedure is time consuming because the staff doesn't know English and their procedures are aged - they copied my whole passport with all the previous trips to China and produced a lot of paper in the process for no reason. The check-out was done and we were asked to wait (to check if we used mini bar or something), but no one told us afterwards we can go so we waited for 5 minutes for no reason, I finally asked if we can go and only then the receptionist said yes xD

GGuest UserGot there around CNY eve, so things were a bit on the quiet side. Parking was a bit chaotic at first with cars parked all along the entrance, it was not clear where to park until I went inside and asked. Check in was quick and to my pleasent surprise the checkin agent Gary spoke English very well. He was extemely helpful and and accomodating. He even explained that breakfast would be included because of CNY. The hotel was very clean, room was clean. The hotel is at a very good location, central to many important areas in Shaoxing. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. Check out was simple and the overnight parking fee was taken care by the hotel. Overall, the hotel has the quality, look and feel that you would expect from a Holiday Inn brand hotel. Would definitely recommend and will rebook in the future. Many families with kids too. Please note if traveling around CNY, certain restaurants etc may be closed for the holiday.

GGuest UserThe Oriental Grand hotel is part of a complex which includes 3 theme parks. One indoor mountain park, one indoor water park, and one large outdoor theme park. The parks were fun for our toddler. Call in advance to see which parts of the park are open/closed for the season. The hotel and facilities are designed for kids, so expect lots of them to be around! We stayed for 3 nights during the October Golden Week but the hotel was not overly busy, nor was the theme park.
The breakfast was solid with mostly Chinese options but Western options as well. We enjoyed both the breakfast and the buffet dinner. Other food options in the area are quite limited, and the food in the parks is pretty poor.
We were a 20-40 minute taxi ride away from other major attractions in the city, like Daxianglin and the giant buddha, as well as some of the ancient towns.
The rooms were clean and new, and we had an excellent view of the nightly fireworks show from the main theme park, even from the bathtub! The rooms were quiet at night and the blackout curtains allowed everyone to sleep in. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Overall I would recommned this hotel to people seeking quiet and comfort during a theme-park trip.

Service: The hotel service is very good. The front desk also upgraded the deluxe room, and every staff member greeted them warmly.
Facilities: The room looks very cozy at first glance, but it is actually a bit simple. There is a gym, but the swimming pool is being renovated, and some places in the room have some flaws.
Meals: I personally feel that the hotel's breakfast is quite simple. It may also be because I went there at 9 o'clock. It is not worth it to add 70 for breakfast for two people.

RRavi karan kIt is a great place to stay for short trips to keqiao. It is located in the middle of the city. Rooms and hotel property in general were neat and clean. I ate breakfast in the hotel. Breakfast menu had scrambled eggs, chicken fried rice, Asian dough stick, sweet bun in four different options, oat milk, coffee, apple and orange juice, fruits, yogurt, sausages, toasted bread/butter, hard boiled eggs, boiled vegetables, boiled pumpkin (like sweet potato) , boiled corns. The hotel did not ask for any security deposit. Check in and check out process was very fast. Staff at reception can speak and understand some words of English which was good enough for conversing with them. Lastly, huge appreciation for housekeeping staff , they were active and hard working.
