Shaoxing Hotels with Pools

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Right outside, you'll find the central stage of Luxun Native Place scenic area, surrounded by charming canals and traditional homes. The hotel itself is a beautiful ancient courtyard, with an elegant, rustic exterior. Inside, the rooms are luxuriously decorated and the facilities are spotless. The front desk staff, who embody the charm of the ancient Yue region, were incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and provided impeccable service. A perfect experience!

The rooms are quite spacious, and they even offer fruit porridge. Parking is super convenient with the hotel's exclusive parking lot, which is a huge plus for self-driving tourists – no need to stress about finding a spot, and it feels safe and secure. What really stands out is the service, from the warm and efficient check-in process where the front desk proactively helped us get our preferred room, to every staff member we encountered who greeted us with a smile. Any requests were handled incredibly quickly. The attention to detail truly shows how much care they put in, making us feel really welcome.

The infinity pool is facing the green mountains, and the hair is blowing by the pool to cure all fatigue. The floor-to-ceiling windows are comfortable, the window is full of greenery, and the store presents 2 glacier rafting tickets. The butler service is also very good to help with luggage, the mountain atmosphere is full, short-driving, friends gathering are particularly suitable, has been collected, yes, there is a gift when you leave, it is a surprise!

Great for a weekend getaway. We got upgraded to a balcony room on the second floor, which was lovely with a great view. Yongqi (泳琪) provided excellent service. However, the kids' play area was closed, so the little ones had nowhere to play. The pool was very good, clean, and not crowded. The ticket price for the Dayu Mausoleum scenic area behind the hotel was really expensive at 60,000 RMB. Adults can hike there, and for kids, feeding the peacocks and geese is a nice experience, but seriously, the ticket price is too high.

Let me start by explaining how to get from Anlan Xinchang to the popular Xiayanbei village (something rarely mentioned online!!!) ⬇️⬇️ You call the local businesses and tell them you're coming for a meal. The owner will pick you up and then drive you back to the hotel after your meal. (Personal experience: This usually works for restaurants, but not for coffee shops.) Now, let me share my personal experience of a three-day, two-night stay. First, the pros ✅👍 1. The hotel's location is truly superb: nestled by mountains and water, each room is a standalone villa. 2. The hotel's 'Dengyun Ladder' (Cloud-Ascending Ladder) is a major highlight. Taking it to the clifftop for afternoon tea is truly a delightful experience. The combination of the ladder and clifftop afternoon tea offers a unique experience and is very photogenic. 3. The cleaning staff (aunties) are very diligent. They keep the rooms spotlessly clean even without specific instructions. 4. The cocktails at the pool bar are delicious. Enjoying a drink 🍹 with the blue sky, white clouds, green mountains, and the pool is truly blissful. Now, let's talk about areas for improvement ⬇️❌ I'm only mentioning these because I don't want such a well-located hotel with great views to go to waste. I hope the details can be improved! This would provide a better experience for future guests, rather than just good photo opportunities. 1. The staff answering the phone and the front desk staff processing check-in were impatient 👉🏻 During my two-night stay, I proactively called to ask if there were any room upgrade benefits. The staff member on the phone was impatient (they had a condescending attitude, as if they were a knowledgeable expert explaining things to a naive person). 2. Many staff members didn't have the patience to listen to guests. Questions were interrupted before they were finished, and the answers weren't even what the guest asked. This was very off-putting. 3. The shuttle service is really infrequent!! Every time I called for a shuttle, I had to wait for about 10 minutes. The response time is too slow!! The staff explained: ”The hotel is too big...” Coincidentally, I stayed at 4 resort hotels this holiday, 3 of which had shuttle services, and they were all very large, but Anlan had the slowest response time. 4. The staff are not enthusiastic. Many don't proactively greet guests... The shuttle drivers' tone of voice was less polite than the guests'... I think this is an issue with the hotel management ❌ For example, with the shuttle service, operating outdoors in the summer heat means their workload is severely increased due to understaffing. It's so hot, it's genuinely hard for them to maintain a good attitude and temper. 5. Communication with the front desk was difficult and unprofessional... I told the front desk I wanted a shuttle to take us around to see the hotel's scenery (not during peak hours). However, when the shuttle driver arrived, he said he knew nothing about it... My friend couldn't find her hair tie and just wanted to ask the front desk for one (a cleaning lady had come to tidy up during that time). The front desk asked the cleaning lady to take the trash to the room, and the lady looked so pathetic, almost having to dig through the trash to prove it... We just wanted a hair tie, and the person in the middle of the communication was truly speechless, making the cleaning lady look pitiful. 6. The hotel breakfast variety is not extensive, and the taste is very ordinary. 7. The placement of trash cans in the room is unreasonable: in such a large room, there's only one trash can in the bathroom and one at the sink. There should be another trash can for general waste in the room (although we called the front desk and asked for one). 8. The hotel's pool setup is also unreasonable. In the hot summer, the outdoor pool has no shade, making it easy to get sunburnt when playing in the water. Coincidentally, two days before staying here, I stayed at another resort hotel. Their clifftop infinity pool had a tree planted without compromising the aesthetic, so even when playing in the afternoon, there was some shade! This way, the pool wouldn't just be a decoration in mid-summer, but genuinely usable! 9. The tissues were not new and unopened; they were only delivered after I called... 💰 Price: 4000 for 2 nights on a weekday during summer vacation. This was already a super discounted price after a group purchase. For a hotel that normally costs at least 2500 per night, the details really need to be improved. Don't disappoint future guests.

I've always stayed at the Hilton every time I went back to Zhuji. I'm thinking about checking in at Yunmanju this time. I just checked out, and here's a few things to share: 1. The hotel's overall environment is nice. The gardens and landscaping are quite impressive, showing meticulous care and a high level of aesthetic taste. While the rooms are simply decorated, they're not dull. The materials and amenities are good. The toiletries aren't brand-name; they're quite ordinary. The hair dryer is a Dyson imitation, the toilet is a Kohler smart, and the basin and faucet are likely other generic brands. It happened to rain during my stay, which made the air feel nice and the spring greenery lush. It was a great place to relax. 2. The environment and amenities are quite nice, but the service is a letdown: This hotel's management and service feel like they're putting on a brave face. It looks like they have everything, but they often offer things you don't need, and they don't provide what you need. 1) I checked in at 7 PM, and it took 30 minutes to get through to the front desk. I wanted a latex pillow, but they didn't have one. 2) Breakfast was a pre-packaged portion per person, with no options. It consisted of half a head of corn, a boiled egg, a piece of cake, a few slices of watermelon, a bowl of white fungus, and a bowl of noodles. The white fungus soup was delicious. Since I don't eat cake or fruit, I asked for another bowl of white fungus soup, but they said they didn't have any. My meal time was before 8 AM, so I only made two bowls. 3) When I asked why my room didn't have a bathrobe, they said they only provided bathrobes in higher-priced rooms (I booked a Duyun Room on Ctrip, and they upgraded me to a Duyun Balcony Room). This was completely shocking; this was the first time I'd heard of a hotel providing bathrobes depending on the room rate. 4) The room also supposedly included the first complimentary mini-bar (a grapefruit juice, a Yuanqi water, or something like that, and two 250ml bottles of Baishuishan mineral water), a small bucket of potato chips, two bags of Three Squirrels Daily Nuts, tea bags, drip coffee, and more. (There was no capsule coffee machine.) There was also a large, approximately 1L bottle of Baishuishan mineral water. After I finished drinking the mineral water, I asked for more, but the hotel said they charge for it. It's just regular mineral water. Is that necessary? 3. Also, there's a sign in the hotel lobby: It basically says the hotel area is for consumption, so if you don't want to spend money, don't come here. Ugh... are all artists so petty? Last night, I had planned to stay with friends for a few days during the Qingming Festival holiday. Now I'm thinking Hilton or Parkview Green. At least their service is top-notch, and they won't get mad at you over a few bottles of mineral water. Many hotels even offer mineral water upon check-out. Hot tea upon arrival, water upon departure. Are you really that aloof?

I consider myself a Staycation blogger and have stayed in countless hotels, mostly Marriott properties like The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, W, and Bvlgari in various locations. There's no particular reason other than Marriott's consistently excellent aesthetics. So, after meeting friends in Shaoxing for the weekend, I still chose Marriott over Cotton Tree. It turns out my choice was right. To sum up this stay in one sentence: I experienced top-tier luxury amenities at the price of an entry-level five-star hotel. Before checking in, I called the hotel and requested a larger, higher-floor room. Byron, the duty manager that day, thoughtfully arranged an excellent room type for me after understanding my preferences. I arrived quite late, around midnight, but the doorman still quickly came forward to greet me (this is something I must praise, as most luxury hotels have virtually no service after 10 PM). During check-in, the front desk kindly extended my check-out time to 3 PM, and there were no reminder calls the next day, which made me very happy. Most hotels only extend until 1 PM or 2 PM and constantly call to hurry you, which can be very annoying. The Shangyu Marriott's approach of extended check-out without催促 (reminders) undoubtedly made me feel respected and comfortable, truly embodying the feeling of a home away from home. 🥰 Upon entering the room, I was immediately struck by the calm and relaxed texture. The modern minimalist design blended with the elegant charm of Jiangnan waterside towns. Warm wood finishes paired with ink-wash artistic decorations perfectly fused modern business sophistication with the cultural heritage of Eastern Zhejiang and Jiangnan. The decor was grand and expansive, restrained yet full of high-end quality. I especially loved the 180° panoramic floor-to-ceiling window; the open view fulfills every hotel enthusiast's fantasy. I also really liked the hotel's scent – subtle, not overpowering, with a hint of South Asian flair. Marriott's overall scent profile far surpasses that of IHG. A point I must highlight is that the hotel's audio system is JBL, which made me incredibly happy! Compared to the unknown audio systems in most luxury hotels like The Ritz-Carlton, Nanjing, putting effort into such small details that enhance guest happiness and comfort truly makes one feel more cared for. 🥰 After a very comfortable sleep, I woke up early the next day for breakfast. The breakfast tasted genuinely good, especially the noodles – they were absolutely not cheap, very smooth and perfectly al dente, surpassing most Marriotts I've stayed at. During check-out, Byron thoughtfully came again to ask about my stay experience and if there were any areas for improvement. I believe this shows the hotel's respect for its guests and its own self-reflection. After praising so many advantages, let's talk about a few minor flaws. First, it's really, really far from the city center! To be honest, it was my first time in Shaoxing, and I couldn't distinguish which district was downtown and which was suburban, so I initially thought Shangyu was in the city center. I didn't expect a one-hour drive to get there. 🥲 However, I think this point varies from person to person. If it's a business hotel, then the location is clearly not up to par. But if it's a resort hotel, coming here just for a Staycation, then it's perfectly fine. The second point is that the bath salts were milk-flavored, which I didn't particularly like. Of course, this is my issue (I'm a bit lactose intolerant). Overall, this stay was perfect. From the hotel decor, facilities, service attitude, to the attentiveness towards guests, everything made it a perfect Staycation hotel. In many aspects, it even matches and surpasses top luxury hotels like The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an, and Four Seasons, Suzhou, similar to the Shenzhen Kaisa Grand Marriott (not an advertisement 🤣, I genuinely love this hotel and always stay there when I vacation in Shenzhen). In terms of value for money, it's also top-tier. 🥰 I've discovered another great hotel for weekend getaways. I hope the hotel maintains its dedication and professionalism. See you next time!

Traveling to Shaoxing with my parents and child during the summer vacation, Huajianfu was our top choice, and its location is absolutely superb! It's right next door to Lu Xun's former residence! Step out, and you're on the old street, with all sorts of food, drinks, entertainment, and creative shops! The hotel front desk saw that my mother had difficulty with her wheelchair and upgraded us to a first-floor room, which I'm incredibly grateful for! It solved a huge problem and was very heartwarming! Every staff member was very attentive, greeting us whenever they saw us and always ready to lend a hand! The hotel also offers a free guided night tour of Lu Xun's former residence – definitely don't miss it if you're traveling with kids! P.S. Guests staying at the hotel get an 12% discount at the neighboring Shaoxing Weidao and Yichi Garden. Thumbs up!

I arrived quite early to check in, and the front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful, quickly getting me settled. The room was spotlessly clean and fresh, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to rest peacefully even in the early hours. There was plenty of hot water, and all the facilities were comprehensive. Overall, both the service and environment exceeded my expectations, offering great value for money. I'm very satisfied! The hotel even has a tea garden where you can sit by the lake for a while. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

The B&B has a beautiful environment and the rooms are warm and comfortable. The host is hospitable and the service is attentive. It is convenient to travel around and experience the local customs. It’s a wonderful place to stay while traveling and highly recommended!
