"The hotel is conveniently located near Jiemin Library and Yaohan, with a subway station nearby. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride to Shaoxing North. If you order takeout, a robot delivers it to your room. The hotel facilities are quite new, but across the street, there's what seems to be a bar street or food stall area. I could hear the singing very clearly at night, luckily it stopped by 8:30 PM, otherwise, I would have been in trouble... haha. Overall, it's pretty good. During off-peak season, the average price of 350 RMB per night can be considered good value for money."

"The service was great, very warm and welcoming. They even gave me a bottle of water when I checked out. Since I arrived quite late, they made sure to remind me about the supper service times. The location is also excellent, right in the Xixiaolu Historic District and very close to Yangming's Former Residence."

"A fantastic, highly recommended stay! Dongyueli perfectly captures the ambiance of a Jiangnan water town. The hotel is right next to Cangqiao Old Street, built by the river, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. It's within walking distance to Lu Xun's former residence, Fushan Park, and other attractions, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city. The staff were warm and attentive, and the common areas were wonderfully relaxing for tea and chats."

"I loved the ambiance of the hotel lobby. The room was spacious and incredibly clean, and they provided Jo Malone toiletries, including a great little bar of soap! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Honestly, it was a much better experience than the Hilton I stayed at in Hangzhou. The shuttle, which I believe was a Toyota Alphard, needed to be booked in advance, but the front desk was happy to adjust the timing for me when I wanted to visit a different attraction later in the day. Very impressive service!"

"What a pleasant surprise! This hotel is a hidden gem. It's tucked away and a bit hard to find, but their service is top-notch. They contacted us the day before, asking about our travel plans and if we were bringing elderly, children, or pets. Since we always travel with our furry friend, their pet-friendly policy was a huge deciding factor. The hotel is nestled within an old residential area, blending in perfectly without any sense of incongruity – it felt like discovering a new world in a bustling district. The surroundings are surprisingly quiet with low foot traffic. Even better, it's incredibly close to all the popular attractions, which meant we didn't have to trek far to enjoy the sights, while still having a peaceful retreat at the hotel. This was definitely the highlight for our family. The courtyard, with its charming bridges and flowing water, had a lovely spring-like vibe, perfect for artsy photos. After a long day of exploring, instead of going straight to our room, we relaxed by the pool, soaking up the sun – so serene and utterly relaxing. The room was spotlessly clean, and I loved the subtle, pleasant fragrance. The color scheme in the room was particularly appealing, both stylish and cozy. With the pool right outside the window and plenty of sunshine streaming in, it was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was quite varied, featuring many local specialties. The 'yinggao' (rice cake) was absolutely delicious; I ate three pieces myself! The handmade 'xiaohuntun' (mini wontons) prepared by the auntie were also incredibly fresh and flavorful – you could tell the ingredients were top-quality. P.S. It was a bit busy during breakfast, and the wontons and pumpkin 'miangeda' (dough drops) were made fresh to order, which was a very thoughtful touch. Although they accidentally gave our bowl of miangeda to another guest, they quickly prepared a new one for us. We totally understand that mistakes happen sometimes, and we still really enjoyed it. We visit Shaoxing frequently and will definitely be back if we get the chance. We highly, highly recommend this hotel!"

"An elderly couple, we returned to our hometown Shaoxing to pay respects to our ancestors. Last year, we also booked this hotel for two nights. The location is great, and we felt it offered good value for money. Plus, we have a soft spot for Wyndham (we've booked the Wyndham Suzhou Wujiang Zhiyin for Chinese New Year's Eve for several years now). Miss Ding Wenqian at the front desk even gave us a complimentary upgrade, which I believe meant a larger room. Da Yu Ling (Yu the Great's Mausoleum) is just across the road. Crucially, her attitude was very kind and approachable. The lobby decor is also quite grand. Compared to the price, the breakfast was really good – a buffet with both Chinese and Western options. We'll definitely book this hotel again next year."

"Traveling with kids, the main goal is to avoid unnecessary detours. The hotel's location is excellent; you can take a Wupeng boat right outside, and it's not far from any of the attractions. It might have been the Qingming holiday, so the breakfast area was quite crowded, but every staff member was very diligent and responsible, and the food was replenished promptly. On the last day, there were probably fewer tourists, and the supervisor at the restaurant's front desk and Sister Xiao Yan even made beautiful yogurts for us. We were very happy ❤️"

"Staying at the Shaoxing Wenduyuan Hotel was an excellent overall experience and offered great value for money. The hotel service was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive, with staff who were kind and enthusiastic. Check-in was efficient, and any requests were promptly addressed. The warm touches in the details made us feel very comfortable. The dining options were a highlight. The breakfast offered a rich variety of fresh ingredients, and the flavors were light and palatable. There were also several choices of simple meals and snacks, all delicious, perfectly meeting our dining needs while traveling. The hotel's overall ambiance was elegant, with expansive views from the windows and pleasant surrounding scenery, creating a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Daily strolls and sightseeing were very enjoyable. However, there's some room for improvement in the room's interior configurations. Some facilities were a bit basic, and the soft furnishings, storage layout, and electrical appliance details could be optimized and refined. Overall, despite these minor room imperfections, this hotel stands out in terms of service, dining, and views. It's highly recommended, and with a few small improvements, the stay experience would be even better."

"The room was spotless and very clean. The surrounding area has great amenities, and it's super close to all the attractions in the Old Town. The owner was incredibly nice! 👍 As soon as I arrived, they thoughtfully brought me a warm jujube and goji berry tea. ☺️ The restaurants they recommended were all fantastic, and I had some delicious food!"

"The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and there's a self-service laundry room on the second floor, which was very convenient. Breakfast was also good and hygienic. There are many local eateries nearby, and its central location makes it easy to get to all the attractions."
