This guesthouse is absolutely the top choice for a family weekend getaway! It's clean, hygienic, and the food is incredibly fresh, with all the vegetables picked from the fields on the same day – absolutely delicious! 👍🏻 The housekeeper is exceptionally thoughtful, providing truly attentive service and always willing to help. They accompanied the children while picking vegetables and took great care of the elderly. We will definitely choose to stay at Yaojia again in the future! 💕

Very good hotel, with a new view at every step. The design is very attentive, and there are many collections such as Taihu stones, wood carvings, Shoushan stone carvings, etc. Allen at the front desk warmly received and explained, the service was in place, and there was timely feedback when there were needs. The details in the room were very good, the toiletries were all Ferragamo, and the gifts in the mini bar were of good quality. There were also fruits and snacks and drinks every day. It is a good resort hotel. The breakfast buffet is very good, but when there are fewer guests, the variety of dishes ordered is a bit limited. I hope to improve the catering, which is still very important in resort hotels. A hotel worth recommending.

The rooms are quite spacious, and they even offer fruit porridge. Parking is super convenient with the hotel's exclusive parking lot, which is a huge plus for self-driving tourists – no need to stress about finding a spot, and it feels safe and secure. What really stands out is the service, from the warm and efficient check-in process where the front desk proactively helped us get our preferred room, to every staff member we encountered who greeted us with a smile. Any requests were handled incredibly quickly. The attention to detail truly shows how much care they put in, making us feel really welcome.

Grand New Century Hotel Meishan Spring Shaoxing

I recently booked the New Century Grand Hotel through Ctrip for my trip to Shaoxing, and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The hotel just opened in 2024, so the facilities are brand new. The rooms are incredibly spacious, with even the standard rooms starting at 50 square meters. The new Chinese-style decor feels very high-quality. The location is also super convenient; the Meishan Square subway station is right downstairs, and it's just a few stops to Lu Xun's former residence, making sightseeing a breeze. Plus, it's not in a noisy downtown area, so it's very quiet. The service deserves special praise. Even before check-in, a service manager proactively added me on WeChat to communicate my needs, register my license plate, and help reserve a room. The entire check-in process was incredibly smooth. The housekeeping was spotless and thorough, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast and dining options really highlighted Shaoxing's local flavors. I got to try authentic 'one city, one flavor' dishes, including local snacks like preserved vegetable pancakes and steamed buns. The braised duck and Shaoxing three delicacies also have a great reputation. Jinghu Wetland Park is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, which was lovely for a post-dinner stroll. All in all, it's a fantastic value for money choice for a trip to Shaoxing.

We had a great stay at Wyndham Zhuji. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade, and the view from our room was beautiful. The breakfast had a lot of choices and everything was fresh. We also received a welcome fruit platter and 4 bowls of mango sago dessert, which was a very nice touch and tasted delicious. What impressed us the most was the service. A special thank you to Chundi at the front desk. She was so friendly, patient, and helpful throughout our stay. She assisted us whenever we needed help and made us feel very welcome. Housekeeping did an excellent job as well. The room was cleaned properly every day, and the bed linens were changed regularly, which made our stay very comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again when visiting Zhuji. Thank you to the entire team, especially Chundi, for making our trip so enjoyable!

Choosing Anlan Xinchang for the Dragon Boat Festival, I got to relax amidst the misty mountain wilderness. For a domestic mountain retreat hotel, it's really quite good. Some minor imperfections weren't deal-breakers for me, as my main needs were all met. Our butler, Leo, was enthusiastic, attentive, and responsible, always communicating and providing a truly home-away-from-home service. He reminded us to climb the Cloud Ladder to see the sea of clouds. When we left, in addition to the hotel's souvenir, he specially prepared a large portion of pastries and fruits, as well as a goodie bag for the child. He was incredibly thoughtful from before our arrival until our departure! Huge thumbs up! The buggy was also available on call, even during the Dragon Boat Festival, and arrived very quickly. The room cleaning aunties were also warm and smiling. Despite the rain, they diligently changed linens and provided supplies, and every evening we received Madeleines and different drinks, like iced mung bean soup and iced black tea. Every staff member at the hotel was enthusiastic and attentive. The breakfast variety was sufficient for our family. I highly recommend the noodle bar's soup noodles; both the Zha Mian and handmade noodles were delicious. Most importantly, the natural scenery is truly spectacular. Whether it's the lush greenery or the streams and waterfalls of the Hanfei River, it's full of wild charm and a sense of seclusion. Anlan's location is excellent, right in the Nineteen Peaks scenic area. It was very convenient to spend time at the hotel daily and then drive out for excursions. Taking the kids on the mini-train and climbing the Cloud Ladder for panoramic views was a great experience. The Cloud Ladder even has air conditioning, which was very comfortable. The only regret was that our planned stream trekking on the last day was canceled due to heavy rain the night before making the water too turbulent for safety reasons, but we can always go back next time. The kids really enjoyed playing in the kids' club and the infinity pool. The only minor inconvenience with the infinity pool was having to go to the building upstairs to get towels. [The hotel's dinner was also delicious, with fresh and flavorful ingredients that showcased local specialties.

I've always stayed at the Hilton every time I went back to Zhuji. I'm thinking about checking in at Yunmanju this time. I just checked out, and here's a few things to share: 1. The hotel's overall environment is nice. The gardens and landscaping are quite impressive, showing meticulous care and a high level of aesthetic taste. While the rooms are simply decorated, they're not dull. The materials and amenities are good. The toiletries aren't brand-name; they're quite ordinary. The hair dryer is a Dyson imitation, the toilet is a Kohler smart, and the basin and faucet are likely other generic brands. It happened to rain during my stay, which made the air feel nice and the spring greenery lush. It was a great place to relax. 2. The environment and amenities are quite nice, but the service is a letdown: This hotel's management and service feel like they're putting on a brave face. It looks like they have everything, but they often offer things you don't need, and they don't provide what you need. 1) I checked in at 7 PM, and it took 30 minutes to get through to the front desk. I wanted a latex pillow, but they didn't have one. 2) Breakfast was a pre-packaged portion per person, with no options. It consisted of half a head of corn, a boiled egg, a piece of cake, a few slices of watermelon, a bowl of white fungus, and a bowl of noodles. The white fungus soup was delicious. Since I don't eat cake or fruit, I asked for another bowl of white fungus soup, but they said they didn't have any. My meal time was before 8 AM, so I only made two bowls. 3) When I asked why my room didn't have a bathrobe, they said they only provided bathrobes in higher-priced rooms (I booked a Duyun Room on Ctrip, and they upgraded me to a Duyun Balcony Room). This was completely shocking; this was the first time I'd heard of a hotel providing bathrobes depending on the room rate. 4) The room also supposedly included the first complimentary mini-bar (a grapefruit juice, a Yuanqi water, or something like that, and two 250ml bottles of Baishuishan mineral water), a small bucket of potato chips, two bags of Three Squirrels Daily Nuts, tea bags, drip coffee, and more. (There was no capsule coffee machine.) There was also a large, approximately 1L bottle of Baishuishan mineral water. After I finished drinking the mineral water, I asked for more, but the hotel said they charge for it. It's just regular mineral water. Is that necessary? 3. Also, there's a sign in the hotel lobby: It basically says the hotel area is for consumption, so if you don't want to spend money, don't come here. Ugh... are all artists so petty? Last night, I had planned to stay with friends for a few days during the Qingming Festival holiday. Now I'm thinking Hilton or Parkview Green. At least their service is top-notch, and they won't get mad at you over a few bottles of mineral water. Many hotels even offer mineral water upon check-out. Hot tea upon arrival, water upon departure. Are you really that aloof?

My recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Shaoxing was an absolute delight, far exceeding my expectations. It's truly an excellent choice for business travelers. The room was incredibly spacious and airy, with a beautiful wooden aesthetic complemented by cherry blossom decor, creating an elegant atmosphere. The layout was well-thought-out, clearly separating the work and relaxation areas, ensuring no disturbances. The bedding was soft and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a long business trip, and all the facilities were complete and well-maintained. The service was professional and efficient; from check-in to inquiries, responses were prompt, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast offered a wide variety, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes, with freshly cooked dishes and local specialties that truly energized me for the day. The hotel's location is convenient, with excellent surrounding amenities and stable high-speed internet, making it very business-traveler-friendly. Overall, it offers great value for money, with attention to detail that showcases quality. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next business trip to Shaoxing.

CONTI TOSCANA CASTLE RESORT & SPA

9.3/10
Very Good

We stayed at this resort for a two-night, three-day trip, and while the building and location were visually impressive, our overall experience fell short of expectations, especially for international travelers. First, the golf course was not well-maintained and did not resemble the pristine images shown online. Additionally, while the archery court was fine, it lacked proper safety protections, making it a concern for families traveling with young children. Despite being branded as an Italian resort, there was no functioning Italian restaurant during our stay, which was quite disappointing. Even though the breakfast was really good, the food options for lunch and dinner were very limited, especially for non-Chinese guests. As visitors from Nepal, we found it difficult to enjoy the meals, and one member of our group who is vegetarian struggled even more to find suitable food options. There were no alternative dining options nearby, so if you don’t bring snacks or food with you, your choices are extremely restricted. Another challenge was the language barrier. Only one staff member could speak basic English, which made communication quite difficult at times. While the venue might be suitable for events like weddings or photoshoots due to its scenic appearance, it’s not ideal for a relaxing getaway unless you come with your own activities planned. Without that, there isn’t much to do onsite, and the lack of entertainment, food variety, and language support made the experience feel isolating. Overall, this resort has potential, especially in terms of architecture and ambiance, but it still needs significant improvements in service, food, and international accessibility to truly be welcoming for global guests.

During my recent stay at the Sheraton, I have to give a special shout-out to Dave, the manager on duty. I arrived late at night after an unexpected incident on my way, and I was quite agitated during check-in. Dave remained incredibly calm and patient throughout, listening attentively to my concerns and promptly and efficiently resolving the issues without any excuses or perfunctory actions. His professionalism was outstanding; he was clearly well-versed in all hotel services and procedures. He proactively upgraded my room and thoughtfully provided useful information about local transportation and breakfast times. He handled everything with grace and composure, demonstrating a genuine empathy for the guest's experience and truly making me feel at home. It was Dave's responsible and warm service that completely turned around what could have been a negative experience.
