The slippers were only as shown in the picture, and they were covered in mold. I couldn't shower, so I had to ask for plastic slippers, which I borrowed from the inn next door. The air conditioner was right above the bed, blowing directly at me while I slept, making it very uncomfortable. I booked this room based on other reviews that praised the environment, but in reality, all the rooms are connected, like a motel with flowers outside. Where's the inn I was supposed to stay in? I've never stayed in an inn so crowded! The large steps at the entrance looked beautiful. Other reviews mentioned help with luggage, but there were only two girls at the front desk. Would you really feel comfortable asking them to help with luggage? All I can say is that it's great marketing. Please don't do it again next time.

We stayed at this resort for a two-night, three-day trip, and while the building and location were visually impressive, our overall experience fell short of expectations, especially for international travelers. First, the golf course was not well-maintained and did not resemble the pristine images shown online. Additionally, while the archery court was fine, it lacked proper safety protections, making it a concern for families traveling with young children. Despite being branded as an Italian resort, there was no functioning Italian restaurant during our stay, which was quite disappointing. Even though the breakfast was really good, the food options for lunch and dinner were very limited, especially for non-Chinese guests. As visitors from Nepal, we found it difficult to enjoy the meals, and one member of our group who is vegetarian struggled even more to find suitable food options. There were no alternative dining options nearby, so if you don’t bring snacks or food with you, your choices are extremely restricted. Another challenge was the language barrier. Only one staff member could speak basic English, which made communication quite difficult at times. While the venue might be suitable for events like weddings or photoshoots due to its scenic appearance, it’s not ideal for a relaxing getaway unless you come with your own activities planned. Without that, there isn’t much to do onsite, and the lack of entertainment, food variety, and language support made the experience feel isolating. Overall, this resort has potential, especially in terms of architecture and ambiance, but it still needs significant improvements in service, food, and international accessibility to truly be welcoming for global guests.

This guesthouse was clean and the room was spacious. The front desk staff was really enthusiastic. I had originally booked a first-floor room, but he mentioned it might be a bit damp and have mosquitoes lately, so he upgraded me to a second-floor lake view room. He even helped me with my luggage. In the afternoon, he brought over some yellow wine, dates, and anise-flavored beans – very much in the spirit of Lu Xun, like his famous line about the jujube trees! Haha. He also asked what time I'd like breakfast delivered to my room the next day, and the breakfast was quite substantial! If I went out for a walk and came back, I could even WeChat him to ask him to turn on the AC beforehand. When checking out, he even gave me some yellow wine and dried plum souvenirs! The environment and service were both superb. It's very close to Fushan Park and Cangqiao Old Street, which was convenient for evening strolls and getting something to eat. Extremely satisfied!

It’s not cold or stuffy without turning on the air conditioner in winter. The quality of sleep at night is excellent! Our group all got a high-quality sleep here, which made my cold better😄; 3) Authentic rural life experience: We came on the third day of the new year, and the hotel arranged to make rice cakes in the morning and fried peanuts in the afternoon , Fireworks are set off on the bonfire at night, and breakfast and dinner are the highest quality of farm food😆; 4) The hotel's service staff are very hospitable and attentive. Shangshitang is very suitable to relax yourself, get some good sleep, and experience high-quality rural life!

The environment around the homestay is natural and quiet, with gurgling streams and chirping birds, maintaining its original ecology. If you take the 611 County Road to Changzhao Reservoir, the whole road is on gravel mountain roads, which will make you feel desperate and doubt your life.
