A go to hotel when I'm in Boston. Newton is a suburb but you can be in Boston very quickly but no subway stations nearby. It's right over the Massachusetts turnpike (but I've never felt bothered by highway traffic noise) it's not in town but couldn't be closer to the highway that gets you into the city or directly to the airport. It's got a great bar connected called Social that has really good food and live music sometimes on weekends and another small, neighborhood style bar right across the street (Buff's Pub) that has solid pub food and some of the best wings in the Boston area. They will for sure have whichever Boston sports game on. Bar closes early though, maybe 11pm. A great pizza place and a few other restaurants and a liquor store in walking distance (and a Dunkin' Donuts). Service is always good, the pool is quite small but it exists and is old but clean. No gym. Breakfast is solid. Parking Garage too.
Choosing this home, the price is OK, not too far from the city center, the room is a bit old, fairly clean and tidy. There is also an antique piano in the hall that can be played. The breakfast is worth mentioning, the stock is sufficient, and there is a machine for self-baked waffles and pancakes. The children like to roast and like it, eating a lot of cakes. It’s just a shop selling cars nearby, but there is a stop shop and a KFC. The next day I found out that I went to a nearby Chinese buffet. It’s very good!
The hotel is a bit dated, but relatively clean. Breakfast is self-service, and you need to ask for coffee, orange juice, and other items. After each meal, I hesitated over whether to tip. We stayed four nights, and on our last day, after breakfast, I gave the black waiter a $10 tip. The hotel's self-service washers and dryers require quarters, but the front desk wouldn't exchange coins. I ended up using the app to wash clothes, but they couldn't dry them. I hope the hotel can improve this. The location is pretty good, not far from MIT, Harvard, and downtown, about a 10-minute walk away.
The location is superb, just a minute's walk from the subway exit. We were in Boston during a major snowstorm, so it was a lifesaver that the hotel was so close; otherwise, we would have frozen on the way. The breakfast was also quite good.
Breakfast is quite nice. We enjoyed the waffles there.
Location is good. Walking distance to shuttle bus and orange line
Got changed to a quiter room when I complained about the loud and noisy neighbor.
Old amentities but generally clean.

Great historic hotel!
Excellent location, about an 18 minutes walk to Boston Common. Great customer service, and check-in was quick and smooth.
Even though the bathroom is shared, I really liked the layout. The toilet, shower, and sink are all in one private space, unlike many hostels where the sink is communal and the toilet and shower are separate. The toilets are constantly cleaned, and the rooms are also very clean and well maintained.
The rooms and beds are comfortable, and the heating and air conditioning work perfectly. The gym is definitely a plus, and the free Halloween candies were a delightful touch!
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.
This was my favorite hotel during my three-week trip to the East Coast. It has a nice design, the rooms are spacious, and the windows are especially large, providing excellent natural light. There's an Italian restaurant downstairs, which is very popular for dinner and the food is quite good. There's also a games room, gym, and free laundry facilities. It's not far from Harvard, so the hotel and surrounding area felt very lively with many young people. Parking costs $33 and requires valet parking. The only downside is breakfast; the Italian restaurant downstairs doesn't open until 10:30 am, so before that time, they only have bread, which isn't very good value. I recommend eating breakfast at the burger joint next to the hotel. Coffee in the morning is free.
My kids and I decided to get out of Boston for the weekend during February school vacation. We got a 2 double bed room and the beds were extremely clean and comfortable, the room was a little small but extremely clean. The service and workers were great and friendly. The pool was clean (kind of too cold) but safe and had nice warm towels available. The free breakfast the next morning was delicious, nice spread of choices. The price was amazingly affordable! Overall a great experience, will definitely be coming back for April Vacation. 😊
The room was clean and tidy with disposable toiletries, and the hotel felt new overall.
However, although the accessible room and standard room were listed at the same price (USD 161 after tax), the accessible room had no bathtub. The front desk asked for an additional USD 30 to switch, despite both room types showing the same price online.
The restaurant serves Indian cuisine with good food, though alcohol prices are relatively high.

GGuest UserThis is a lovely thoughtful hotel and very comfortable beds. Loads of funky or slightly different amenities....that do make your holiday feel special and help out a lot.
Thank you for the great service and hope to stay again
Yyuan~erThe location is average and the health is OK. We are working there so choose. If it is a trip, it is more troublesome, because it costs 30 dollars to take a taxi to the city and 30 dollars to Harvard University. There are no slippers and toiletries in the room, and there are no hotels in the United States. It is very strange. Breakfast is mainly cold meals. It is good to use it as a fast hotel. Don't think about it compared with the domestic Hilton.
GGuest UserCooliger corner is easy to find. There is only one person at the front desk and very few service staff. There is a small indoor swimming pool. The room design is good and clean enough.
MMenchue R.Fili was so helpful and nice. He is so kind and patients. We got our aircon warming and from that day he was sent to us for assistance we just found a helping hand and he made our stay comfortable. He's more on electrical and maintenance. Thanks Fili . Did I spell your name right? Anyways.. The bathroom is clean. The breakfast is ok.
Thanks a lot. Hoping to see more friendly and warm staff around.
DDaring-lingling1. The location is great, near Boston Public Garden, making it very convenient to get to downtown (DT).
2. The curly-haired young lady who checked me in at the front desk was very nice. Seeing that I had an elder with me, she helped us get into a clean room as early as possible.
3. The hotel provided two complimentary drink vouchers, which could be used for cocktails. There were also three $35 vouchers, which we could use just for breakfast.
The hotel is a bit small, which is probably the only drawback, but if you're just looking for a place to sleep, it's absolutely fine!
AAnonymous UserChecked in 29 and out 30 Dec.
Check in was smooth and was allowed early checked in at 1pm plus.
Room was decent with comfortable bed and coffee making ap apparatus.
Toilet was equipped with refillable shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, handsoap and moisturiser. Couldn't find toothbrush and toothpaste. No bedroom slippers.
Walk to Central (Red line) is 20 mins away, pretty far. But once on red line, traveling to various attractions are easy. Harvard and MIT stations for university tours and Downtown Crossing for shopping and eats.
Nice view of river.

Zzwk1029I stay at this hotel every time I take a flight. The parking lot is large and there is no charge if you don't stay overnight, so it is very convenient to return the rental car, take the hotel car back to the hotel, and then take the hotel car to the airport the next day. However, the only downside is that there is no water or coffee available in the lobby in the afternoon, which is very uncommon in the United States.

JJMR18Excellent location with the good transportation system in Boston to reach the entire city including the airport. Stop 3 min.
Good, varied breakfast.
Good facilities with gym and heated pool, long hours.
Fatal services: they do not clean or make the room during the first 3 nights of your stay and you have to request in advance that they do it for the 4th and/or successive nights.
Well equipped and comfortable rooms.
Excessive price even though it is USA.
Reception staff... not bland, the following... and in a city where the Spanish language predominates, they don't speak it. The bar and room staff almost all speak English and Spanish, in addition to their kindness... Perhaps they should exchange salaries and functions from one another and the hotel would improve remarkably.
