Great historic hotel!
Excellent location, about an 18 minutes walk to Boston Common. Great customer service, and check-in was quick and smooth.
Even though the bathroom is shared, I really liked the layout. The toilet, shower, and sink are all in one private space, unlike many hostels where the sink is communal and the toilet and shower are separate. The toilets are constantly cleaned, and the rooms are also very clean and well maintained.
The rooms and beds are comfortable, and the heating and air conditioning work perfectly. The gym is definitely a plus, and the free Halloween candies were a delightful touch!
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.
Wonderful stay, it was only one night but the staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is updated and modern, clean and comfortable. The king bed mattress was so comfortable.I will definitely be back. The location near the Broadway stop on the Red Line was perfect.
A go to hotel when I'm in Boston. Newton is a suburb but you can be in Boston very quickly but no subway stations nearby. It's right over the Massachusetts turnpike (but I've never felt bothered by highway traffic noise) it's not in town but couldn't be closer to the highway that gets you into the city or directly to the airport. It's got a great bar connected called Social that has really good food and live music sometimes on weekends and another small, neighborhood style bar right across the street (Buff's Pub) that has solid pub food and some of the best wings in the Boston area. They will for sure have whichever Boston sports game on. Bar closes early though, maybe 11pm. A great pizza place and a few other restaurants and a liquor store in walking distance (and a Dunkin' Donuts). Service is always good, the pool is quite small but it exists and is old but clean. No gym. Breakfast is solid. Parking Garage too.
Amazing service, amazing breakfast! The staff were so kind and helpful with everything and they are the sweetest people ever! Love how everything is super neat and tidy and near South Bay where you can basically buy everything you need there! Would recommend to stay here again!
The hotel environment is good, the room is large and clean. Parking is convenient and no charge. It is also convenient to eat in the streets of the town, and there are also several Chinese restaurants not far away.
Checked in 29 and out 30 Dec.
Check in was smooth and was allowed early checked in at 1pm plus.
Room was decent with comfortable bed and coffee making ap apparatus.
Toilet was equipped with refillable shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, handsoap and moisturiser. Couldn't find toothbrush and toothpaste. No bedroom slippers.
Walk to Central (Red line) is 20 mins away, pretty far. But once on red line, traveling to various attractions are easy. Harvard and MIT stations for university tours and Downtown Crossing for shopping and eats.
Nice view of river.
The room is large, but the mattress is too high, and the sofa is old and dirty, so I dare not sit on it. The room has a balcony, but it is useless in winter.
The air conditioner is very loud and cannot be turned on when sleeping.
Pros: The gym is good with complete equipment; breakfast is rich in variety.
Cons: The attitude of the front desk staff is average
After staying for a few days, I found that my body was swollen, red and itchy, as if it was caused by mosquito bites, so I dare not stay there anymore. Although there is no evidence that it is the hotel's problem, I stayed there for nearly ten days and did not stay anywhere else.
There is a supermarket downstairs, which is very convenient for shopping. The supermarket opens at 8 am. There is a Chinese restaurant for breakfast next to the supermarket. The transportation is convenient. The small kitchen in the room can be used for cooking.

Very Good
GGuest UserLocation was central to Newbury St, Copley Square and not too far away to Boston Commons.
Rooms were decent but the windows did not do much to keep the noise out. So you would be hearing a lot of noise that may disrupt your sleep.
Toilet were a bit small so we'd need to balance out toiletries across various ledges and railings.
Also, the window of our room was broken so we couldn't lift the window.
The water pressure in the toilet were inconsistent.
Front desk was helpful to hold our bags before and after check-in and the free drinks for the rooms were neat.
Yyuan~erThe location is average and the health is OK. We are working there so choose. If it is a trip, it is more troublesome, because it costs 30 dollars to take a taxi to the city and 30 dollars to Harvard University. There are no slippers and toiletries in the room, and there are no hotels in the United States. It is very strange. Breakfast is mainly cold meals. It is good to use it as a fast hotel. Don't think about it compared with the domestic Hilton.
GGuest UserThe overall environment of the hotel is very good, the location is good, there is a subway and supermarkets are convenient for shopping, the disadvantage is that it is a little expensive, and it would be better if slippers could be provided
GGuest UserLocation of the hotel is really close to the airport. It is a nice hotel, the price a bit too high for the quality of the rooms. There were a few things that could be better, hair on places you don't want them, dirty spots. Parkinglot that was full and the price was 20 dollars a night

GGuest UserThe room isn't huge, but it's really cozy if you're traveling solo. The location is super central and convenient. I booked a river-view room, and the outdoor scenery and night view were beautiful. The overall decor of the hallways and rooms has an industrial vibe, with very stylish details – like the screens in the elevator, the floor plans, and the dynamic hallway leading to the gym. They also provide a daily $35 voucher to use at the bar on the second floor for breakfast and more. On Easter Sunday (4/5), they even had donuts! The staff at the front desk and bar were all very friendly and helpful.

Zzwk1029I stay at this hotel every time I take a flight. The parking lot is large and there is no charge if you don't stay overnight, so it is very convenient to return the rental car, take the hotel car back to the hotel, and then take the hotel car to the airport the next day. However, the only downside is that there is no water or coffee available in the lobby in the afternoon, which is very uncommon in the United States.
PPangzideshiguangjiThe hotel is a bit dated, but relatively clean. Breakfast is self-service, and you need to ask for coffee, orange juice, and other items. After each meal, I hesitated over whether to tip. We stayed four nights, and on our last day, after breakfast, I gave the black waiter a $10 tip. The hotel's self-service washers and dryers require quarters, but the front desk wouldn't exchange coins. I ended up using the app to wash clothes, but they couldn't dry them. I hope the hotel can improve this. The location is pretty good, not far from MIT, Harvard, and downtown, about a 10-minute walk away.
JJMR18Excellent location with the good transportation system in Boston to reach the entire city including the airport. Stop 3 min.
Good, varied breakfast.
Good facilities with gym and heated pool, long hours.
Fatal services: they do not clean or make the room during the first 3 nights of your stay and you have to request in advance that they do it for the 4th and/or successive nights.
Well equipped and comfortable rooms.
Excessive price even though it is USA.
Reception staff... not bland, the following... and in a city where the Spanish language predominates, they don't speak it. The bar and room staff almost all speak English and Spanish, in addition to their kindness... Perhaps they should exchange salaries and functions from one another and the hotel would improve remarkably.
