I was worried because there were many reviews about the room cleanliness and carpet, but
The floor was made of wood
and the bathroom was clean.
I traveled with my mom and was very satisfied.
I checked in late and had to call to confirm the check-in method..
And they kindly left a long guide at the reception, so I was very grateful.
I stayed at the cheapest price and I highly recommend it to those who are going nearby.
However, it was summer, not the season to go to the Leukerbad hot springs..
The road to Leukerbad was winding, so it was a difficult road for me, who was driving for the first time in a long time, not only for this hotel but also for those visiting the area.
It was within walking distance from the station!
It felt more like an apartment than a hotel.
There was no front desk and check-in was done using a machine at the entrance.
You get a reservation number by email in advance,
enter it and pay the accommodation tax to enter, but it's a little difficult because they don't speak Japanese.
There is a kitchen in the room and all the necessary dishes, pots, and microwaves, so you can eat in your room!
The nearby supermarket closes around 8pm, so you might want to be careful!
I was grateful that there was a vending machine in the hotel.
The room was clean and there was a balcony and an ashtray so you could smoke outside.
However, check-out was by 11am,
but I was surprised when someone opened the door and came in at around 10:30am.
They apologized and closed the door immediately, but I wonder if it was a cleaning staff member?
It wasn't scary because we were a couple, but I think it would have been scary if I had been alone or if I was a woman.
The location was excellent, just near Zermatt Bahnhof and easily accessible from most places. The room came with a balcony overlooking the mountains, offering a stunning view — we even watched black neck sheep while enjoying our dinner and coffee.
The stay was comfortable overall, though note that no amenities like toothbrushes or shavers were provided. Breakfast offered a decent spread of continental options with limited hot food, but the croissants were especially commendable.
Hands down, this was one of my absolute favorite places during my trip to Switzerland. Highly recommend if you're visiting Zermatt! Definitely make sure to book a room with a Matterhorn view. The breakfast was generally good, though it could have used a bit more fresh fruit. Plus, having a microwave and water dispenser in the basement was a great perk that helped us save money on bottled water.
The staff is very kind and nice. They upgraded me to a larger single room. Single room does not have the mountain view. The staff shows me where I can see Matterhorn with a map which is very clear. The room is also very clean. Love the hotel.
I took my kids to ski. This hotel is close to the main street, but not easy to find. It's in a small alley behind the main street. I arrived at the hotel at night and asked several people but no one knew where it was. I searched for a long time in the snow and ice before I found it. Fortunately, the town is safe. When I entered the hotel, the room key was left in an envelope at the front desk. The entire hotel facility is new and clean. The room is also very comfortable and the breakfast is very rich. I walked out the next day and realized that the hotel is still in the center. But it is still a distance from the ski lift, so I need to take a taxi. It takes less than ten minutes to get there. It's interesting to choose a taxi in the town when I don't know the direction for the first time.
The triple room has a balcony and is very comfortable. The nearby castle is very beautiful, it is convenient to go hiking or cycling, there is free parking space but there is not necessarily a place during the peak period. The staff was nice and delicious in the morning. But the bathroom has no windows and exhaust fans are slightly lacking.
Clean, modern and well equipped (no microwave), bigger than in the pictures, with a balcony view of the Matterhorn. Perfect for a few days with family. Good to know (no criticism): the apartment is about a 20-minute walk from the train station away, the m
The accommodation has a comfortable terrace with excellent views of the Matterhorn. The facilities (bed, bathroom, kitchen) are satisfactory for a short stay. To get to the ski lifts it has a steep slope if you walk, although it is connected with a free b

GGuest UserKristiane checked us in, and out of the hotel. She's the most attentive person so far that I've met, among the hotels that I have stayed in. Not only that, she got our issues fixed within the day, with a good sense of humour. The hotel breakfast was above average, some selection of cheeses, ham, salami, yoghurt, and drinks dispensed from the machine. I chose this hotel as it was close to Zermatt Bahnhof, and I did not regret it. A relatively new hotel, with a faint smell of wood in the room. The heating in the room can be a wee bit stronger, it means the insulation is good while we tuned down the central heating throughout our stay when the external temp is subzero. It's a gorgeous hotel, I have a narrow window view of the Matterhorn. Not to mention that the hotel is right next to McDonald's and two coffee shops. Overall, it was a splendid experience for us staying at Derby. If you were guessing, this isn't a sponsored review. We were just very happy travellers.
MMsMonkeyGirlThis was a good value room. The room & linens were clean, but I felt like there had been a smoker in the room previously (although it wasn't *that* bad) and the carpets could have been a bit cleaner. The check-in was easy (by video). The 4th floor did not have lights in the corridor, so we needed a flashlight. The breakfast offered in my booking stated 10 CHF, but at check-in we were told 15, so we opted out. I didn't look at it to decide whether it would have been worth it. The shower was great, which was nice because we had just finished hiking. The location of the hotel is perfect if you're catching a train/bus & there is a supermarket & plenty of restaurants close by. I only wish the room had an electric jug/kettle.
BBraden TseGood location which is 5 mins away from the Zermatt station, budget rooms are huge with big bathroom which is more than enough for family. Shuttle service between the hotel resort to the station which is a bonus. Excellent experience overall.
AAlanKKKthe quad room is perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids.
breakfast is superb and staffs friendly
we stayed 3 nights and were luckily blessed with 1 day of clear whether at the top of the mountains.
2 ways to walk to the hotel from train station, the shorter one that google will tell u includes a steep climb (difficult if you have luggages in tow).
the easier and better walk will just be to keep going straight, turn left at the matterhon musuem / church junction, and from there just a short gradual stretch to reach the hotel. very doable even with kids and luggage .

GGuest UserWrite it carefully for the convenience of friends who come later. Tasch is the town closest to Zermatt and is our first stop in Switzerland. We changed our minds temporarily and drove to Tasch at night. The town is not big, there are not many choices, and it feels not cheap. This hotel has the best value for money. I was quite nervous when I booked it, but it is actually quite good. The room is not big but not small. There is a bathtub and the bathroom is also OK. It is very warm and comfortable. The breakfast is similar to that of a four-star hotel in Italy. It has everything you need (although it has everything, I really want to eat fried dough sticks). Water is provided in the house, and there is a kettle downstairs. In short, I think the value for money is very good, and the scenery of the town is very good. The price is cheaper than Zermatt. It is very close to the station. Many people stay here and take the train to Zermatt to ski, because the train is also very convenient! The photo is next to the hotel, very beautiful

AAVENTUSThe room condition was very clean and good
The bedding and mattress were also good
It is a modern and clean hotel
The parking lot was good, and although it is an external parking lot, the route from the parking lot to the hotel is very good
The design is pretty from the hotel entrance to the lobby and the resting area
Everything is good. The only downside is that the elevator space is a bit small
I can't say that this hotel is great, but it was a place that left a very good impression during my trip to Switzerland. I felt good because the rainbow welcomed me
The front desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly and the food was delicious
However, it was unfortunate that I left the baby ointment behind, but thanks to that, it is a hotel that I will remember for a long time.
GGuest UserIt’s only good for a one night stay if not for the excellent location, clean room. No Air condition, no refrigerator, no tea kettle but a bottle of water and a nosy fan. Pillows are extremely big/high. Even I’ve window opened at the it still warm. (02/09) breakfast was okay and simple. I stored my suitcase so I can go Zermatt but no one at the front desk when I retrieve my suitcase, pretty much everyone can walk in to take any bags at the lobby/front desk.
