GGuest UserDear Readers of this review,
I have stayed this hotel many times before. It is very close to my vendors. I don't know about your vendors, you have to check with them
This is a really nice hotel

MMariaCThis was an amazing hotel. The views, pool and beach are private. The room I had was panoramic, I could see the sea and mountains from it. Room service food was nice (had a burger), yet a bit expensive (¥160). Dameisha beach is a nice beach where you can swim in the sea. There are water sports like kayaking, jet ski and paragliding, for a fee. The hotel staff did not tell me you can have a complimentary (free) photo session if you book 1 day in advance.
The towels for the pool are in the fitness center (same floor but a bit far). The fitness center has a gym.

GGuest UserHotel: Nanshan Shangri-La, Shenzhen
Stay Date: Recently
Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (5/5)
My recent stay at the Nanshan Shangri-La was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in an atmosphere of tranquility and luxury that lived up to the Shangri-La name.
Here are the highlights of our visit:
1. Impeccable Service & Warm Welcome:
The service was the standout feature. We were fortunate to be taken care of by Hebe and her colleagues at the Horizon Club, whose service consistently went above and beyond. They always offered assistance with a genuine desire to help. I was particularly touched on one occasion when my Alipay wasn't working to pay the taxi driver; a staff member at the door helped me pay the driver, which relieved me from the hassle and embarrassment.
2. Stunning Room with a View:
We stayed in a Horizon Club Room with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Shenzhen Bay area. The room was not the most spacious but was immaculately clean and beautifully appointed. The decoration showed great attention to detail and redefined the concept of luxury. The bathroom amenities were from John Masters; they smelled wonderful but were a bit difficult to wash off as they are oil-based.
3. Exceptional Dining Experiences:
The breakfast buffet on the 66th floor was phenomenal. The variety was astounding, featuring everything from freshly baked pastries and a dedicated noodle station to Western classics and healthy options. The Horizon Club lounge was a peaceful haven with delicious and delicate canapés at afternoon tea and a sumptuous dinner during the happy hour in the evenings. I found the food there to be among the very best offered by top-notch hotels in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
4. The Pool and Recreation Facilities:
The hotel’s indoor infinity pool is a masterpiece. Swimming while looking out over the bay through floor-to-ceiling windows was a surreal and relaxing experience. The gym was huge and well-equipped. However, the temperature was a bit warm for a genuine workout.
5. Prime Location:
The location in Nanshan is perfect for both business and leisure. It's situated in the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, a future major commercial and business district in Shenzhen's Nanshan District. As the area is still under construction, the immediate surroundings are not yet fully engaging. However, it is still very easy and convenient to get to major malls nearby.
Verdict:
The Nanshan Shangri-La is more than just a hotel; it's a destination. It perfectly balances business-like efficiency with resort-like relaxation. We left feeling completely pampered and recharged. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shenzhen.
Perfect for: Luxury travelers, couples, business trips, and special occasions.

Ccyma1386The Sheraton Grand China Hotel, Shenzhen, stands out as a prime example of a long-established international luxury hotel brand. Though built in 2010, making it 15 years old, the hotel remains impeccably maintained, looking as good as new. Located in the bustling Futian commercial district, it is surrounded by numerous commercial buildings and large shopping malls, offering abundant options for shopping, entertainment, and dining. Adding to its appeal is the highly convenient transportation. For a 5-star hotel priced at around 1000 RMB, it truly offers exceptional value for money. Furthermore, its massive parking garage makes it particularly suitable for guests traveling by car. I highly recommend it to all fellow travelers.

GGuest UserThe development is unique for China. You can find similar resorts with accessible seaside and setup, only abroad. It would have been a fantastic experience but it was destroyed by the recent tropical storm hitting Guangdong.
Despite the weather which is not related to the resort there are a number of issues to be addressed:
1- the place is a potential safety hazard. Very poor engineering when it was built without proper water management or drainage. Water flashed down from the surrounding slopes flooded the whole resort. Swimming pool and all common areas were full of mad. Restaurants operation was suspended or when finally operating we were literally walking inside a flooded room full of mad where staff was trying to push water away. Rather funny picture.
2- common spaces were not kept clean. It is totally understood that with this storm situation it is impossible to keep the place clean, however, even before the rainfall started , you could tell the place was not kept properly.
The common areas and walk paths were not clean full of debris. Swimming pool was not clean.
The changing rooms next to the beach were not clean and full of sand with showers blocked.
The toilets next to the restaurant were not clean and very smelly. Expensive equipment with branded toiletries is not helping if the place cannot be properly managed.
The lounge area next to the seaside was not clean and it was obvious that it is not managed by personnel.
3- the lifeguards supposing to be on duty were occupying the guests beach lounge area playing with their phones and smoking cigarettes while other staff and construction people from the site would have their “break” with them. This is an advertised private beach area and the management should be further involved to provide what the guests are paying for. Lifeguards should be on a different station.
They were rather rude too pretending the are the authority!
4- Overall management and personnel. You can tell that there is no maturity or experience. During the storm admittedly they were trying hard to keep the place alive.
The resort design otherwise, and rooms are exceptional. Amenities and equipment are top of the class.
The western restaurant (before suspending operation) was excellent with great food and unique location overlooking the seaside.
Such a pity for this unique resort - management needs to change
Wish to see improvements in a future visit.
TThian FernGreat stay at Four Seasons Shenzhen with excellent service from the hotel staff. I visited Shenzhen with my family for a short getaway and birthday celebration. Upon arrival, the hotel duty manager Allison assisted us with early checkin at 12pm. She was also helpful to ask one of the bellboys to assist me with a courier postage which totally save me the hassle from going to the post office. Steven from concierge was very patient to understand our personal preferences to give some really good recommendations of activities, places to visit, and even recent special events in the city 👍 recommend to ask their hotel concierge for recommebdations if you have no travel plans in Shenzhen. The hotel concierge also provides service to store our online purchase parcels that were delivered to the hotel. As we were celebrating birthday during our hotel stay, they have prepared birthday cake and birthday pillows which was absolutely adorable. At the end of our stay, the duty manager Rachel presented us a small gift token which surprised us and make our stay memorable ❤️. The hotel room was more than spacious for 2 people to stay. The bathroom was large too and i really appreciate the duo wash basins and the tv screen on the mirror. The shower was abit difficult to use and the shower head tends to slip down from the stand. The bed was sooooo comfortable and they have a wide selection of pillow. This is definitely one of the best hotel beds we slept on. Other than the fact that other furnitures like the study table and sofa were a bit dated, overall the room was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the hotel spa services. The massage service was soooo good. Love their curation of essential oil. The masseur was skillful to hit the the sore spot with the right amount of strength💆🏻♀️. We had a very good sleep after the massage. We will definitely return to Four Seasons again and will recommend others to stay at this hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a superb location, just steps from the beach. It also features a stylish pool bar, making it incredibly convenient for exploring with many delicious restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable, ensuring a very relaxing stay. A special shout-out to the gentleman at the front desk who provided excellent and attentive service, making us feel truly cared for. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Dameisha.

AamieangelAlthough it's more of a business hotel, we stayed with our kids this time, primarily due to their excellent swimming facilities. The front desk staff, as often noted online, were indeed quite reserved and didn't smile much. Perhaps that's due to the hotel's business-centric focus? Being a Marriott member, I was granted a late check-out until 2 PM, which was a nice perk.
The swimming pool was excellent, as expected. Despite the 1.35-meter depth, the lanes were long enough for a comfortable swim. The gym was also quite impressive, fully equipped with everything you'd need.
The buffet dinner deserves a special mention; the ingredients were high quality, and they were generous with premium cuts and main dishes. The 5J ham was plentiful and free-flowing, the culinary team was highly professional, and the service was attentive and proactive.
Overall, a huge thumbs up! The JW standard truly shines through.

BBon AngOne of the best hotel in Shenzhen. From the bell boy to the reception and the restaurant staff, you will receive top notch services- thumb up. Their dim sum is good. The staff are super friendly and they had upgraded us to a bigger room without us asking and when we call and ask on check out timing they had automatically inform us that they had extended our checkout timing to 2pm. Impressive. We Had Accidentally left 4 boxes of blueberries and tomatoes in the mini fridge, staff treats for them haha

XXiaoliandaoAndyFirst and foremost, I want to give a special, *special* shout-out to front desk staff member Miller! Her service was absolutely textbook-perfect. During check-in, she not only processed everything efficiently and quickly, but she also proactively and thoughtfully upgraded us to a room with a city night view, based on our preferences. This unexpected surprise instantly made us feel valued and special.
**Room:** The room was spacious, bright, and spotless. The bedding was definitely high-thread-count cotton; it felt like sleeping on clouds, ensuring a restful night's sleep until morning.
**Dining:** The breakfast selection was extensive, ranging from authentic Chinese dim sum to delicate Western pastries, and everything was of exceptionally high quality.
**Location & Facilities:** The location is superb, with easy access to transportation.
