Amazing
GGuest UserI was originally planning to visit Hachijojima, but my flight was canceled on the day of departure, so I ended up heading to Izu Oshima instead. Looking for a place to stay at the last minute, I found KON and booked it based on its excellent reviews.
From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The owner picked me up at the port with a sign, shared information about the island during the drive, and even stopped at scenic spots so I could take photos.
I stayed in the main building, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The tatami mats had recently been replaced, giving the room a wonderful fresh scent. The property was well-maintained, well-equipped, and had a nostalgic countryside atmosphere that made it easy to relax.
There are several restaurants nearby, including a great ramen shop and a sushi restaurant called Minato sushi by the harbor that I highly recommend.
One unexpected highlight was discovering the manga in the room. The title was Kore Kaite Shine, which is set on Izu Oshima. I learned that the author often stays at KON, and the protagonist’s home was reportedly modeled after the guesthouse itself.
What started as an unexpected change of plans turned into a fantastic stay. The warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and unique local charm made this a memorable experience. I would gladly stay at KON again on my next visit to Izu Oshima.
Yying_nekoTwo stops from Nippori Station, about a ten-minute walk from the station. There are supermarkets opposite the accommodation and outside the station. The room is small and basic, just enough to open a large suitcase. A large blanket is provided, which makes for a comfortable sleep. The environment is very clean, and there's a microwave and hot/cold water, but no conditioner. For this price, there's nothing to complain about. If I only had hand luggage, I'd consider staying again, but I wouldn't recommend it with large luggage as you have to go over a footbridge and push it for a long way.

Great
CChenge@This was my first time traveling abroad, my first time traveling alone, and my first time flying solo. The front desk staff here speak English, everyone is very friendly, and the environment is super clean. Everyone is very considerate, and everywhere is spotless. Waiting for the washing machine on the rooftop at night while sipping a soda really hit the spot. For an introvert like me, it was incredibly comfortable. I'll definitely be back next time!
MMaria Nadir CasanovaWe are truly delighted with our stay at Tora Hotel Asakusa. We stayed here for two weeks and had an amazing experience from beginning to end. The hotel staff is incredibly kind and always willing to help with anything you need. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable, and the atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful. We were able to rest extremely well every night. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Tokyo!

KKaiHwa93Everything was great, except for the price. It might be because of Golden Week; I'm not sure what the rates are like on regular weekdays. The location is excellent, with three convenience stores nearby, as well as Ichiran, Torikizoku, and Jonathan's. Just a heads-up, it's technically closer to Shinjuku-Nishi-guchi (Shinjuku West Exit) subway station. If you arrive at Shinjuku Station via the JR Yamanote Line or Narita Express, I recommend walking towards Shinjuku-Nishi-guchi subway station and taking exit 5 – the hotel will be right across the street.

GGuest UserThey have a nice bathhouse in the basement. Capsules do feel a bit small. Lockers are small, but you can put your stuff in your capsule or outside of it. Would book again, it's an authentic Japanese experience.

GGuest UserIt seemed that we were the only couple staying in the house a few days ago, so it was very quiet and felt very good. After a few couples came in the next two days, the house became noisy. People came and went in the morning and evening, and the corridors in the rooms were very crowded, so the experience was down, otherwise it would be a perfect score, although the washing machine and dryer cost money and were very noisy. The staff was very enthusiastic and allowed to store luggage in advance. The house was not in the main building, but in a corner ten meters away from the next door. The house is located as shown in the picture. The recommended index is full in the off-season, and it is halved in the peak season.

RRagnarI really enjoyed this hotel. This was my first time in a capsule hotel, and it is better than the common western hostels. More privacy, better luxury. I enjoyed the bathroom and the amenities (slippers, bathrobe). My favourite thing about this hotel was its 70-80s style. There were still old telephones, old capsules and elevators from 40 years ago throughout the building. I really appreciated that, since I am especially interested in Japanese history during that period (the boom). Last but not least, I also noticed then good connection to the city center (about 1 hour by metro to the castle) and its proximity to the Tokyo Skytree (only a few stations).

GGuest UserVery convenient location, within a three-minute walk from Asakusa-bashi Station. It's quiet because it's a small road.
Although the hotel is an old facility, it's clean and tidy.
There's someone at the front desk until 1 a.m., and you need to leave your keys at the front desk every time you go out, which is more secure.
The lady boss is very nice and gave us some snacks.
