"Facilities: The room was my style – simple, elegant, and unpretentious. When I travel, I care most about the quality of the bedding, the room's layout, and the overall ambiance. Everything here was perfect; the bedding was soft and clean. The balcony also had two tatami mats and a small old wooden table that I particularly loved. I meditated there this morning, which was exactly what I needed – it helped clear away any lingering emotions from my sleep. After meditation, I quietly enjoyed some morning tea, read a book, and occasionally glanced out the window at Erhai Lake and the people in the scenery. This is perhaps the joy of a vacation.
Cleanliness: The courtyard wasn't large, but it was cozy, clean, and had a touch of Scandinavian retro romance, perhaps because the owner, Brother Hua, enjoys motorcycles.
Environment: Whether you step outside or not, Erhai Lake is always in sight. The main entrance faces Erhai Lake, showcasing the wisdom of the Chinese people to see the big picture in small details through Yunnan's unique natural landscape. There's a vast grassland right outside – I really want to describe it as a prairie, haha, it truly is a huge expanse of grassland, followed by small woods, and then Erhai Lake. Such a natural landscape can only be found at Erhai Lake! My room had a tatami-style balcony and a large open-air terrace. The bathroom was completely separate from the room, making it feel like a small suite, suitable for a family of three, or for sisters and couples. By the way, the name is Lazy Cloud Residence, which I especially loved, and my travel companions loved it too.
Service: The owner is meticulous and knowledgeable about Dali. It's helpful to chat with her to avoid getting lost, especially during holidays when there are many cars and people. We accidentally fell into a pit, hahaha, the traffic was terrible! 😭 This trip was mainly to accompany a friend from Shenzhen on a cycling trip. His itinerary was quite demanding, otherwise I really wanted to stay a few more days. By the way, this place is perfect for cycling enthusiasts; there are S-shaped bends everywhere you go. We arrived at 2 pm, and my friend went cycling, completing a loop around Erhai Lake in four hours. We also went to the ancient town for a lot of food and drinks, but it wasn't very good. My sister's fried rice is still the best! 😄 Great value for money.
Oh, and here's a little tip: if you prefer a quieter, more private place, definitely choose this spot. If you're on a budget, stay in a sea-view room for the first two days, then switch to a standard room for about half the price. Once you get used to it, you won't need the sea-view room anymore and can stay a couple more days! 😃😃😃
The cozy courtyard feels like home away from home. I've already planned to take my parents there! 🌞🌞🌞 My friends recommended it to me after visiting many times, and it's true, after going to Dali so many times, this time I finally connected with the place! I wrote this with all my heart, hahaha!"
