MM303245****Our last day in Dali, we chose a B&B, and to our surprise, the sea-view room we booked offered an incredibly beautiful sunset! It was also excellent value for money, far exceeding our expectations. There were even adorable little kittens joining us for breakfast, which was so therapeutic~ The breakfast was delicious, and so was the afternoon tea. The staff were very enthusiastic, and I've already recommended it to friends who are planning to visit!

GGuest UserAfter looking at several B&Bs and reading countless reviews, my friends and I finally settled on this 'starry sky room.' The moment we opened the door, we were absolutely blown away! The room's design is incredible. Lounging in the soaking tub, watching the blue sky and white clouds by day, and stargazing at night—it was so romantic and delightful. The tent and beanbag chairs were a real highlight for me, perfectly capturing that relaxed, laid-back vibe. The quality of the bed was superb; I slept like a baby. We also lucked out and got to enjoy a delicious and plentiful breakfast. The front desk service was incredibly warm and attentive; they proactively helped us carry our luggage up and down three flights of stairs and were always available when we needed them—they truly nailed all the details. Next time I'm in Dali, this will definitely be my go-to place!

From the moment I stepped in, I was instantly captivated by the 270-degree panoramic sea view lobby – the stunning blue vista truly made it feel like stepping into a painting. The room was spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the sea. In the mornings, I was gently woken by the sound of the waves, and in the evenings, watching the sunset dip below the horizon from the balcony instantly melted away all my fatigue. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and both the facilities and cleanliness were outstanding. Even the toiletries were high-end brands – the attention to detail was exceptional! The hotel service was simply impeccable; the front desk staff were warm, attentive, and even thoughtfully recommended some hidden local gems. The breakfast spread was both lavish and exquisite. And most importantly, this place is incredibly photogenic! Every corner offers a perfect photo opportunity, and even a casual snap turns into an Instagram-worthy masterpiece. I've already highly recommended it to all my friends, and I'll definitely be back!

DDanwuhenThis is my favorite guesthouse in Dali, and it's my third time staying here; I come back every year around this time. The service is consistently excellent, and everyone is very friendly. They upgraded my room for free, and I could see Cangshan Mountain right from my bed.
The location is very close to Dali Ancient City, making it super convenient for a stroll, and it's also not far from Cangshan Mountain. The restaurant at the intersection is delicious.
There are many good restaurants nearby, and ordering takeout to the guesthouse is easy. The waffles for afternoon tea were amazing – I enjoyed them both days. My sister even told me she wanted to go back to Erhai Lake the next day just for the waffles and floral tea!
The cats and dogs at the guesthouse are adorable, especially the new little black Shiba Inu, who is so cute and lively, wagging its tail to greet everyone. I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is nestled at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the sea and mountains. The beauty within the hotel itself was already delightful. We booked a twin room, which was spacious and well-equipped, even featuring a private courtyard. The chirping birds and fragrant flowers made it incredibly pleasant. It only takes six minutes by taxi from the hotel to the ancient city, offering both tranquility and convenience, being close to nature but not far from the city.
The hotel staff provided exceptional service – meticulous and thoughtful. Our luggage was taken directly to our room upon arrival, and they even helped us load it into our car when we checked out. Any requests to the front desk were answered promptly.
The room had excellent soundproofing, allowing us to sleep soundly until we woke up naturally. We had breakfast at the Bainy Restaurant. The buffet-style breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. I opted for the local specialty rice noodles, which were delicious. Western options were also available – you could pick whatever you fancied! 😋
The kids' play area and book bar offer stunning views of the blue sky, white clouds, and green mountains outside the window. Basking in the sun and enjoying the scenery was truly relaxing.
There's also a vast, flat green lawn, perfect for photos – it's incredibly picturesque! You can also go there to unwind and enjoy the lush greenery, fragrant grass, and panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake.
You can also work out in the gym or swim in the expansive pool. The lobby also offers entertainment facilities like billiards and table tennis. Even if you don't leave the hotel, you won't be bored at all!

11363128****I made a last-minute decision to travel solo and hastily booked an Airbnb near the airport the night before. It ended up exceeding all my expectations!
First, the Airbnb offers airport pickup service, so I was able to get straight into the car upon landing and head directly to the accommodation. The room decor was cozy and charming, and having a bathtub really helped wash away the fatigue of the journey. The host was incredibly welcoming; when I overslept, they even made sure to call me down for breakfast. They also packed some delicious flower cookies for me to take on my way, setting a perfect mood for the first day of my trip!
The view from the rooftop is also fantastic!

I looked at a lot of hotels in Dali and found this one. The location is indeed a bit out of the way, outside the ancient city, so you'll need navigation to find it.
**Service:**
Excellent! Throughout my stay, the staff's attitude in arranging things and helping me understand everything about the surroundings was superb.
**Cleanliness:**
The room was very clean. The hotel seems quite new, so the whole room felt great. The room they assigned me also had a view of the outside, essentially four floor-to-ceiling windows, and even a small balcony. It was really wonderful and beautiful.
I'm Uncle Ben, a man from China who believes in kindness and charm, and I highly recommend this place.

First off, the decor is stunning – it feels like a secluded estate nestled between Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. It's perfect for travel photography, so if you're into that, definitely come prepared. I hadn't originally planned on a photoshoot, but the setting was so beautiful I decided to go for it. To my surprise, the photographer was incredibly professional, and the photos turned out amazing!
Then there's the natural scenery. Waking up every day to the picturesque views of Cangshan and Erhai was breathtaking; it truly made me want to stay forever. This season also brings seagulls, and you can see many of them playing around Erhai Lake every morning between 9 and 10 AM. In the evenings, a crescent moon hangs in the serene night sky, accompanied by twinkling stars.
Next, the service: it’s truly attentive, like having a personal butler. From the moment you step into the estate, you feel constantly looked after.
The facilities are also excellent, with several thoughtful details I really appreciated. For example, the facial tissues by the sink are soft cotton wipes, the hairdryer is a Dyson, and the mini-fridge is stocked with snacks and face masks.
Finally, let's talk about the dining. While breakfast isn't a buffet, the individual set meal each morning is fantastic, featuring a local specialty main dish, whole grains, fruit, and either black tea or coffee. In the afternoon, there's afternoon tea, and in the evening, a sweet soup is delivered to your room – a truly heartwarming touch.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Yupin Villa Tower Next to the Ancient Courtyard. This beautiful Chinese-style boutique hotel is perfectly nestled in the heart of Dali, just steps away from the ancient town — making it a convenient base for exploring the historic charm of the area.
The architecture and atmosphere truly reflect traditional Chinese aesthetics, offering an immersive cultural experience. Our suite was exceptionally spacious, spread over two floors with two full bathrooms, a cozy living area, and tasteful décor throughout — it really felt like a home away from home.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They greeted us with a refreshing tea drink, assisted us with our luggage, and patiently answered all our questions about the city and nearby sights. Their hospitality made our stay seamless and enjoyable.
A special mention goes to the breakfast: although the hotel emphasizes traditional design and ambiance, they thoughtfully prepared a Western-style breakfast tailored to our preferences, which we deeply appreciated.
