Dali City Hotels with Hot Tub

"We had a bit of a disappointing experience at the Jiatu Scenic Hotel. The room listing states ‘lake view’ so we booked that room, however, it turns out that this room does not face the lake and has an internal car par window instead. The listing photos conveniently have the net curtains of the windows drawn so you can’t see this from the inside photos. The receptionist insisted the Trip.com listing was accurate because the hotel was near the lake and therefore a ‘lake view’. They would not change us to a room with the lake view that we believed we booked, despite having multiple lake-view rooms available and us checking in at 10.30pm. They insisted the only way we could change the room was to cancel our booking (and incur a 50% cancellation fee) and rebook the more expensive ‘sea-view’ room instead. We contacted Trip.com who spoke to the hotel also but they were unwilling to help or move us, despite the room not matching the listing description. Trip themselves were very helpful and offered us some compensation. In the end we stayed in the room we’d booked with no lake view. The room itself was lovely and spacious, had storage options and was clean and tidy. If we’d booked knowing this didn’t have a lake view then it would have been perfect! The location is near the station which is great if you’re there for one night, however we were there for 2 nights and had to travel 40 minutes to get to Dali Old Town or the 28 bends ecological corridor, so personally if I were to come to Dali again I would choose a hotel in that location instead. It is worth noting that the hotel is across the road from the lake, so you can see cars and the road even in the lakeside view rooms."

"Booked this room cos details stated mountain view but there's no view at all. Just a small window and light from roof of bathtub area. Overall, the room was too dark to our liking. The room has damp smell but the staff did told us abt it and advised to turn on the air purifier. Staff was nice and able to assist us when we asked for directions and transportation. Area was OK and walking distance to the main parts of ancient town. WiFi not so good. Breakfast was nice and different for 2 days we were there. Location was good for didi cos pick up was right at the entrance."

"We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back."

"My stay at the Dali Shanhai Yunjian Hotel completely exceeded my expectations. It's definitely a hidden gem worth choosing if you're visiting Dali! The room was bright and airy with an excellent layout. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep without any issues. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very well done, the toiletries were high quality, and all the essential facilities were available. Everything was meticulously clean, making for a truly comfortable stay. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Check-in was efficient and quick, and the staff were patient and thoughtful. Whether I needed directions or tips for local attractions, they provided detailed answers that made me feel very welcome. Getting around and sightseeing was also incredibly convenient. The hotel isn't far from the Old Town or popular spots like Erhai Lake, so you can enjoy a peaceful stay without compromising your travel plans. Choosing this hotel for your Dali trip is an absolute no-brainer. The environment, service, and overall experience are all top-notch. The next time I visit Dali, I'll definitely choose Shanhai Yunjian again. I sincerely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Dali!"

Though the room is small, it's incredibly refined, with the private small balcony being a delightful touch – perfect for two to brew tea and enjoy the view. It provides a much-needed private leisure space right by the bustling old city, where every inch is precious. Moreover, the owner's warmth goes far beyond standard service; personally helping with luggage from the parking lot instantly melted away travel fatigue, truly showcasing the unique hospitality of Dali. The prime location, just a few minutes' walk from the Old City's East Gate, is a major highlight. It allows guests to avoid the noise and high prices within the old city while still enjoying easy access to dining, shopping, and sightseeing whenever they wish, balancing both value and convenience perfectly."

"The first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits. The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle. The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room – soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing. The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive. If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again."

"This beachfront guesthouse is a hidden gem, you won't regret staying here! The location is fantastic, right on the waterfront with stunning sea views. You don't have to go far to reach Erhai Lake, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, making dining and drinks super convenient. The butler service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive, providing genuine care throughout your stay. The cleanliness is exceptional; the entire house is spotless, the bedding is clean and soft, and the bathtub and vanity are meticulously cleaned and disinfected repeatedly. All the facilities are new and well-equipped. You can enjoy an immersive sea view from the scenic bathtub, and the public library corner offers a quiet and atmospheric space. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area with excellent drainage, no standing water, and all the soft furnishings and appliances are new models and well-maintained. The balcony offers a wide, open view – it's incredibly therapeutic to feel the breeze and watch the sea. Everything is well-appointed, clean, and comfortable, making it our top choice for a getaway."

The staff were friendly and polite throughout, check-in was very quick, and any requests were handled promptly with a gentle and thoughtful attitude. The room's cleanliness was impeccable; the floors, bathroom, and bedding were spotless and odor-free, with even the corners and crevices thoroughly cleaned. The facilities were complete and brand new; the air conditioning, hot water, and toiletries all worked perfectly. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable.
