Dali City Hotels with Wifi

"Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both. Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch. My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room. My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom. If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways."

The location was also very convenient, with easy access to shopping, dining, and other necessities. One suggestion would be to include the hotel's Chinese address on booking platforms, as it could make it easier for Chinese-speaking travelers to use ride-hailing services. Overall, the hotel was very quiet and provided a comfortable and relaxing stay."

"We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back."

"The Honglongjing branch in Dali Ancient City is absolutely amazing! 📍 The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Honglongjing Pedestrian Street. Step outside and you're greeted by a gently flowing stream, and you can look up to see the Cangshan mountains. It's just a few minutes' walk to Fuxing Road, the main street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. 🏡 The ambiance is perfect! The Bai ethnic architectural style blends seamlessly with modern design. The courtyard with its flowing water, flagstone paths, and red lanterns makes every photo Instagram-worthy. At night, when the lights come on, the atmosphere is simply magical, giving off a 'Spirited Away' kind of dreaminess. 💁 The service is incredibly thoughtful! The staff are warm and professional, proactively offering tips on nearby attractions and local delicacies. Their attention to detail really shines through, like providing local snacks and complimentary tea. 🍽️ The overall experience is fantastic! Whether it's the comfortable rooms, the aromatic coffee at the cafe, or the authentic Bai cuisine at the restaurant, everything leaves a lasting impression. It offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely be back to Dali and stay here again next time! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"

"This hotel located in a small walking street in the heart of the old town, surrounded by shops. It's not luxurious, but clean and safe. You can go to any tourist spot easily; on foot, rent a bike or taxi. Since we love walking we walked to the lake on the east and we saw local people working in their farms. I have to say that Dali is one of China's tourist places that can manage their city very well. About our room: it was on the third floor and there was no elevator. The staff were very welcoming and offered to carry our luggage up, which we greatly appreciated as it was heavy due to our month-long journey. Our room had big windows and a balcony with a mountain view; it wasn't spectacular but it added comfortable atmosphere. In their shop downstairs, we saw two chubby cats; they were adorable and friendly. The staff here didn't speak English. We communicated via WhatsApp, making everything convenient and eliminating language barriers."

"The room was clean and tidy. It was really cold in Dali during the May Day holiday due to the rain, but luckily the air conditioning had a heating function, which was great! It's very close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, about a four-minute walk. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, helping us carry our luggage both ways. When we left, they even gave us flower cakes!"

"I frequently travel to Dali for business, and this hotel has provided me with the best experience so far. The hotel's decor and facilities are brand new, with a simple yet elegant style. It's very clean and hygienic, and the rooms are spacious with large beds. The staff are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic! Right next to the hotel is Sanyue Street, where I can grab some snacks and enjoy them with a beer in the sunken pavilion in the courtyard, all while admiring the surrounding water features – it's really pleasant. This hotel is great, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip to Dali."

"Dali Shuanglang's 'Three-Color Cloud River' – A healing sea-view guesthouse where you can lie down and gaze at the entire Erhai Lake. Stepping in, I was immediately struck by the stunning floral arch in the lobby. A flower wall combined with lush green landscaping frames the shimmering Erhai Lake outside the window, complete with an atmospheric swing. I booked a special king room, which has an overall rustic, original wood aesthetic. The solid wood beams and pillars, along with the distressed wooden headboard, exude quality. Warm brown wooden floors paired with soft lighting create a cozy atmosphere with a distinct Dali local flavor! The room boasts a full-panel, floor-to-ceiling window directly facing the panoramic Erhai Lake. The balcony has a comfortable lounge chair – perfect for sunbathing on a clear day, gazing at the distant Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, clouds, and water!"

The experience at Dali Songyun Banshan Hotel completely surpassed what I anticipated, and I especially want to commend our dedicated butler, Kevin. His service was professional, thoughtful, and truly top-notch! Even before we arrived, Kevin proactively contacted us to confirm our itinerary, discuss our needs, and even thoughtfully advised us on the weather and what to wear. Upon arrival, he was already waiting for us at the entrance, enthusiastically helped with our luggage, and swiftly handled the check-in process. He then meticulously explained the hotel facilities and how to use the smart devices in the room. He also thoughtfully recommended his favorite local eateries and lesser-known scenic spots, and the sightseeing route he planned for us was incredibly practical. During our stay, Kevin was incredibly responsive, practically replying to messages instantly and being available whenever we needed him. When I mentioned wanting breakfast on the room's balcony, he made sure the table was set up beforehand. When I casually expressed an interest in local experiences, he helped book a cycling trip around Erhai Lake and a tie-dye workshop, arranging everything perfectly. Upon departure, Kevin pre-arranged our transport, helped with our luggage, and escorted us all the way to the entrance – so warm and considerate. The hotel itself has an exceptional environment with panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, and the facilities are of high quality. However, Kevin's service truly made this trip extra heartwarming and unforgettable. I highly recommend Songyun Banshan, and you can't go wrong asking for Butler Kevin. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Dali!"
