Guest UserThe first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits.
The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle.
The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room – soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing.
The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive.
If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again.

Dudu1027This is a truly wonderful resort hotel! This is my second time staying here, and it's located right on the edge of Erhai Lake – literally no distance at all. The decor is beautiful, the room is spacious, and the bedding is clean and hygienic. They offered welcome fruit upon check-in and a lovely souvenir upon check-out. The breakfast spread is fantastic, always replenished, and tastes delicious.
All the staff are incredibly warm and friendly, helping with luggage throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. I'm very satisfied! Highly recommended 👍

We stayed with Sister An at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn for 4 nights. Her comfortable inn offered a fantastic mix of home and resort, providing a relaxing retreat after the busyness and urbanity of Kunming. Our 6-year-old daughter absolutely loved the property. The fish in the central pool, the cozy coffee shop lobby, the swinging pavilion across the glass bridge, and the upstairs mountain view deck kept her thoroughly entertained. Sister An’s inn was just perfect. Every morning started with a wonderful breakfast of eggs, tea eggs, free-flow coffee and tea, a variety of buns, millet porridge, and pickles. Furthermore, Sister An provided timely advice on transport, sightseeing, and local holidays. From the moment we booked a few days before our arrival, Sister An maintained constant communication via WeChat and a translation app to coordinate our arrival time. She even sent a complimentary driver to pick us up at the train station, which sat about a 30-minute drive from the hotel's central location in Dali Old Town. She also responded within minutes whenever we had a question throughout our stay. She is the true gem of this hotel.
Some highlights of our stay included:
The Public Areas: Excellent spaces, including the upstairs view decks.
Convenient Amenities: Free washing facilities (essential for our month-long voyage with a party of four), a microwave, a mini-fridge, and ample closet space.
The Suite Layout: The divided rooms gave our brother his own private space, complete with a sliding glass door, desk, and privacy curtain.
The Bathroom: A powerful, beautifully hot shower with both handheld and rain options.
Location & Value: An economical price for a very central location close to all the sights and restaurants of Dali Ancient Town.
Bonus: Sister An whips up a very delicious latte!
Because we ran out of time to do everything we wanted in Dali, we will definitely be back—and we will absolutely stay at this hotel again!

Guest UserI stayed here two years ago, and I'm back in Dali again. After looking at various hotels and guesthouses, I still chose Lishire. Their service absolutely surpasses that of a five-star hotel. First, they arranged a pickup. When we arrived, we hadn't had lunch, so the driver immediately had a colleague prepare rice noodles for us. Knowing we were two adults and two children, and since there was availability, they upgraded us to a two-bedroom suite. Facing Cangshan and Erhai Lake, the scenery is absolutely stunning. After two years, all the hardware facilities in the room are still impeccably maintained. There's a washing machine, a steam iron, and a Toto smart toilet seat. The toiletries and laundry detergents are all Japanese brands we use at home, making it feel just like being back home. Breakfast runs until 12 PM, and in the evenings, they even ask when we'll be back to send up tremella soup or crab roe soup. Every staff member greets you with a smile, and their teamwork is incredibly coordinated. You can tell that the team goes above and beyond to meet almost every reasonable request, something many chain five-star hotels can't achieve. You can truly feel that the team and the owner are genuinely and professionally running this hotel/guesthouse.

Guest UserNot new, not big hotel but full of everything you need; spacious clean room, automatic toilet, separated toilet and bathroom. Close to Shuanglang Ancient Town but very peaceful not crowded at all. A simple yet delicious Chinese breakfast. We was impressed by the tiny young lady staff who carried our 20 kg. luggage to her buggy while she picked us up from the parking and brought it up to our 3rd floor room ( the hotel doesn’t have elevator). She also recommended the restaurant for our dinner which was delicious. Her bright smiles and attentive service made us feel warmly welcome. All staffs, including male staffs who have previously visited Thailand were friendly. Unfortunately, we could stay only a night. Next time we would stay more.

Jesmine ChuaWe absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City.
The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions.
What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere.
A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of.
Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases.
For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us.
Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨

The moment I opened the door, I was instantly wowed. The view of Erhai Lake from the room is absolutely spectacular — photos can only capture about 70% of its beauty. In person, it's a hundred times more stunning.
.
The room is extremely comfortable, with a well-designed bathroom layout featuring separate areas for the toilet, shower, and vanity, plus a beautiful soaking tub. Every amenity in the room is perfect and of very high quality — especially the toilet, which comes with both a bidet spray and a fully automatic function.
.
The bed is incredibly soft. After a full day of sightseeing on foot, I slept like a log — and a relaxing warm soak beforehand made it even better.
.
Upon arrival, afternoon tea and snacks were served, which was such a lovely way to unwind after the journey. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful in every way.
.
Breakfast includes noodle soup and congee, along with fruit, hot dogs, and yogurt.
.
The hotel also offers airport and train station transfers, which is very convenient.
.
The location is not far from attractions such as Santorini and other nearby sights.
.
For getting around Erhai Lake, renting a car to explore at your own pace is the most efficient option. If you don't have a rental, you can use Didi (ride-hailing) or take the sightseeing bus — though with the bus, you can only board and alight at designated stops.
.
One more tip: Didi is available around Erhai Lake until quite late at night and can drop you right at the hotel, so don't worry if you want to stay out a little longer before heading back.

Nestled in Shuanglang Ancient Town beside Erhai Lake, this beautiful hotel's location was a pleasant surprise. Situated on Yuji Island, you can enjoy the shimmering waters of Erhai Lake from a lounge chair on the terrace – a tranquil oasis right at your doorstep. The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and the hotel is filled with thoughtfully designed gardens and charming details, including a rooftop terrace perfect for photos! Beautiful scenery, the vibrant colors of Yunnan! Thank you to the butler for the attentive service! This is my first review on Ctrip, and I genuinely think this hotel is excellent! While my experience exploring Dali Ancient City was rather lukewarm, this hotel left a lasting impression.

One day in Haidong, as if living in a picture frame
I stayed in Kunming for two days on the weekend to escape from work
Originally, I planned to stay in Haixi for two nights. By coincidence, I had dinner with an old friend at this hotel. I was shocked by the sunset in the restaurant. The key is that such a beautiful restaurant tastes good, so I decisively checked out of the room in Haixi and decided to stay immediately
I booked a family room. The room is very large and the bed is super comfortable. The room is in a single-family villa with a large and beautiful terrace garden for taking pictures and watching the sea. There is also a function area downstairs where you can cook and play mahjong. It is very suitable for families or sisters to travel together
The afternoon tea served in the sea view restaurant is also very exquisite. Sitting in the restaurant, you can overlook the 19 peaks and 18 streams of Cangshan Mountain. The unpredictable clouds cover the top of the mountain like snow. After a while, they slowly roll over and coil between the mountains like jade belts. Columns of light pass through the sky like crystals. I sat and watched the clouds for an afternoon, and I felt that I couldn’t see enough.

Guest UserHighly recommended, my child keeps saying they want to come back next time!
Instead of choosing a commercial, trendy B&B, I opted for one in Wase Town – and what a great choice it was! No crowds of tourists nearby, no inflated prices everywhere – this is truly the kind of Erhai Lake B&B that steals your heart. The service at the B&B was absolutely perfect. They contacted me a few days in advance, offered all sorts of free services, thoughtfully prepared a rich afternoon tea, gifted me flower vinegar at night, and provided a delicious breakfast. The upstairs area is also fantastic for photos, I absolutely loved it! [jumping][jumping][jumping]
I rented an e-bike next door and rode to Wenbi Village; the scenery along the way was beautiful.
