"The Guyue Xianlai Hotel is probably the closest hotel to the entrance and exit within Ideal Bang Santorini. Santorini is huge and has many hotels. I chose this one because of its high ratings, and it definitely lived up to expectations. Outside vehicles aren't allowed past the main gate, so I notified the butler 10 minutes in advance for the shuttle to pick me up. The hotel is very welcoming, the room is spacious, and breakfast is a set menu with fruit, rice noodles, noodles, coffee, and milk, all of which were good. The hotel environment is excellent and peaceful, and the rooms are pure white. It's also convenient for exploring, though the steep slopes outside might be challenging for older guests with mobility issues. The hotel service is great; since there's no elevator, the butler helped carry my luggage to the room. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The surrounding area is also fantastic. I even decided to skip visiting Shuanglang and Wase. Five-star rating!"

"Choosing Yan Yun Hotel was absolutely the best decision for my trip to Dali. My only regret is that I only booked one night and had to leave so soon. The environment here is absolutely stunning, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast was delicious, and they even offered a complimentary afternoon tea set. "The hotel service was excellent, and the front desk staff were very welcoming. They helped me with my luggage upon arrival and even brought a complimentary plate of watermelon. The bathroom was spacious, and the shampoo and shower gel came in large bottles. The heating lamp was quite effective, and the exhaust fan was surprisingly quiet. Although the hotel is right on the edge of Dali Ancient City, it was very peaceful. There was a slight smell of cooking fumes around 8 or 9 PM, which is understandable given the location. The hotel's decor is very unique and beautiful."

MM528856****We stayed for four nights at this guesthouse with our two children. You can see both Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake from here, and the decor truly has a strong artistic flair.
I'm so grateful and impressed by the owners. The hostess herself does the cleaning, and I was especially touched when she helped us wash, dry, and fold clothes we hadn't had time for. Her attitude was wonderful.
The breakfast was plentiful and nutritious. There's a swimming pool that's perfect for kids to play in on sunny days. Our children loved the environment, the cats, and the young man working there.
When a package wasn't delivered to the door, the hostess kindly arranged for her family to pick it up for us before we left. She also helped us get our luggage to the car. It's rare to find such service, both picking up and dropping off guests. Thank you!

GGuest UserI found this resort on xhs before my trip with my mom and we had the most amazing time! Upon arrival we had our room upgraded to our dream water facing suite with a jacuzzi and a swing, who could ask for more! They also prepared a water side afternoon tea for us, right before a private photo shoot with their in house professional photographer for photos on their beautiful property. The amenity kits were also fully stocked and their staff were very friendly and helpful, they even did our laundry. We would recommend this to everyone and we will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Dali!

The popular Hongsheng Road is an excellent spot for photographing Erhai Lake, where every shot is postcard-perfect. Attractions like the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, Longkan Pier, and Fengyangyi (Having Wind Courtyard) are all within a 15-minute drive.
The beauty of Yue Shan Hai has never been solely about luxurious facilities, but rather about the tranquility of ”opening the window to see the mountains and closing the door to hear the wind.” The most beautiful scenery in Dali isn't found at tourist hotspots, but in those quiet moments – listening to birdsong in the courtyard in the morning, watching the clouds from the library in the afternoon, and chasing the sunset from the bathtub in the evening. A vacation here becomes a meditative communion with nature.

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews, but this hotel truly touched me. As an architect/interior designer, hotel design, aesthetics, and facilities have always been my top criteria when traveling. I've stayed in many hotels both domestically and internationally. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to book the newly built room type at Zuodu; the older section was just okay in terms of comfort. If you have the option, I definitely recommend choosing the new room types. The hotel is located right on the scenic coastal road. Its somewhat remote location makes it even quieter compared to S Bay, yet the surrounding scenery is still fantastic. What really made me want to check in here was their service. First, I chose two room types, and both included breakfast, plus daily afternoon tea options. The breakfast was quite rich, served buffet style, with Western, Cantonese, and rice noodle options. The restaurant environment is also excellent, with a great ambiance for photos both indoors and outdoors. Honestly, I've been to Dali many times, and hotels in this price range rarely offer breakfast, let alone afternoon tea. A cup of coffee costs 30-40 yuan, and you can order two per room, along with fruit and flower cakes. Besides the food, the hotel's other thoughtful services were also very impressive. This included shuttle service to and from the parking lot, and to and from the airport (we were a group of 5, 3 adults and 2 children, and the hotel provided a complimentary 7-seater shuttle from Longkan Pier, and the airport drop-off price was also upgraded from a 5-seater to a 7-seater for free). Bottled water in the hotel is unlimited and self-service. Instant coffee, tea bags, and steam eye masks are provided daily in the room, and none of them are off-brands. In the public restrooms, they thoughtfully provide sanitary pads and mouthwash, both of which are good brands. In short, whatever you requested, the front desk always responded and resolved it immediately. Upon checkout, they even gave us Pu'er tea cakes as a souvenir. I can truly say their service was exceptional. I will definitely choose Zuodu again next time I come to Dali.

GGuest UserOverall, it's a great place! It's located on a slope, and the front desk upgraded us to a full sea-view room overlooking Erhai Lake. There's a restaurant nearby with good food, and for breakfast, you can choose between Chinese and Western options.
It takes about 35 minutes to get to Dali Ancient City. The swimming pool would be great in summer, and the kids even did some crafts, led by a very patient teacher!

GGuest UserThe B&B I stayed in during my trip to Dali was truly a delightful experience! The moment we opened the door, the two rows of purple Clivia orchids were breathtakingly beautiful. The courtyard room we booked was even more charming, private, and cozy. The B&B is located in a prime neighborhood with clear signage and a luxurious feel. The B&B is conveniently located, making it easy to reach Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, and the city center, especially without lugging luggage. There are also many authentic local restaurants nearby. This stay was a perfect experience, with excellent value for money. The service from the host was excellent, and the breakfast made by the aunt was delicious.
