The best choice for a trip to Kyoto is to stay at the Aman Kyoto that I have always dreamed of. The Aman Hotel is hidden in a quiet forest, surrounded by greenery and a tranquil Zen atmosphere. This time I stayed in the Nara room. The room was very new. The large floor-to-ceiling windows on the first floor provided great lighting. The sunlight shone through the window into the room, and the hurried trip slowed down. The most unforgettable thing was the smiling faces and warm and thoughtful service of every staff member during the stay! This time, I made an appointment for two days of dinner and afternoon tea in advance, both at the Living Pavilion. All the staff in the restaurant were very polite and the service was impeccable. The dishes were very delicate and delicious. Next time I come, I will try Takaan. It was a great stay experience. I will come in autumn next time!

Fortunately, I stayed at the famous Park Hyatt Kyoto 701. When checking in at the lobby, the service staff knelt down to serve throughout the whole process. I could enjoy sake, champagne, etc. at the same time. It happened to be a guqin performance at 5 o'clock. The whole check-in experience was smooth and full of senses. When I entered the room and the service staff opened the window, I was intoxicated by the real scene even if I had watched many videos before. During my stay, I saw the red leaves of the ancient pagoda and even the rainbow in the early morning, which was poetic and picturesque.
The room supplies are basically the same as other Park Hyatts around the world, and there is no merit or demerit. The breakfast on the second day was mediocre because I had tried the breakfast at Kyoto Yamato before, so I chose Western style this time. The buffet had Chinese buns and rice dumplings, which were quite authentic. The dishes ordered were also amazing, and the udon noodles were delicious. At the breakfast location, you can see the comings and goings of people in Ninenzaka, and even feel that you are part of the street.
A small complaint is: there seems to be an exhaust vent for the heating system under room 701. There will be intermittent white smoke floating in the autumn and winter. When the smoke is heavy, it affects the viewing experience. If you want to take pictures, you have to wait for a while. I hope the hotel can make adjustments in the future.

An almost impeccable hotel.
There are not too many dishes in the breakfast buffet plus a la carte, but they are all unique dishes. The breakfast waiters were very enthusiastic.
The hotel environment is very good and quiet. There are eight types of pillows to choose from. The room attendant brought many pillows for me to choose from.
The room cleaning is also very professional and enthusiastic.
The concierge was very attentive and helped us confirm our destination with the driver.
Like the room facilities very much.
The gym is the best facility I've ever stayed in at a hotel.
It has the smell of camphor wood.
Every detail of the hotel is attended by enthusiastic waiters.
I like Kyoto because of the four seasons and will come again next time.
All waiters are very professional.

We loved our stay at Hotel the Mitsui. Super nice and zen design . Absolutely adore their lobby area, which I think is designed by Andre Fu. Always drawn into his work somehow.
Breakfast food was okay, but the view really made up everything l. Super relaxing & beautiful
Service was great. Most of them were able to speak English proficiently.
There’s a thermal spring at their basement, which you have to call the reception before you go to ensure there’s enough space. Everything was well prepared, including swimwear, disposable underpants, towels, water, etc. Since they control the # of people, everyone has their own space and it still feels very private.
Room is nice with many details. Love their huge selection of pillows available for guests. It’s not huge, but the space is well used.
Location wise, I wouldn’t say it’s the most convenient, but if you take a cab, everything is reachable in 20 mins max, so it’s not too bad. There are still good restaurants and touristy places to go that are in walkable distance, so it’s not middle of nowhere.
Overall, fantastic experience which I will recommend for others!

Let me just say that this trip to Japan made me feel that the best place was this hotel! I booked Chunkanso and Sheraton, both of which were highly rated, but no other hotel can compare to this one! No matter the environment, service attitude, or convenience. It is very suitable for those with children or the elderly, or friends traveling alone. It is safe, clean, reliable, and warm! Before I arrived, the housekeeper contacted me, called a car for me, and taught me how to get there. Then, when I arrived at the hotel, there was someone like a little sister to pick me up. I felt like I was at home!!! It makes you feel that you should spend the money! No regrets!!! Chinese people must go!!! It feels like returning home! I won’t talk about the room~perfect~

The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto sits on the banks of the Kamogawa River—a site favored by Japanese nobility since the 17th century—offering sweeping views of the magical Higashiyama Mountains. This urban resort features 134 guest rooms and suites with distinctive Japanese motifs, four restaurants and bars, authentic Japanese cuisine, and a spa for the ultimate rejuvenation.

The Ritz-Carlton in Kyoto is much less cost-effective than the Ritz-Carlton in Osaka. Not to mention it is one or two times more expensive, and the Japanese and American breakfasts are both inferior. However, you can make udon noodles or fruit platter by special request. The service is still very enthusiastic. The hotel is located on the Kamogawa River, and it is very comfortable to walk along the river. In addition, it is a good experience to walk to Nishiki Market during the day and to Pontocho at night to eat and shop. When you are tired of shopping, you can have a spa treatment at the hotel, but remember to make a reservation in advance as the price is not cheap.
The Westin Miyako Kyoto (Kasui-en) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Westin Miyako Kyoto (Kasui-en) offers a pleasant stay in Kyoto for those traveling for business or leisure. With Misasagi Station just 2km away and Osaka International Airport only 53km away, transportation is very convenient. In addition, Keage Metro Station is just a short walk away. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Gion, Nanzen-ji Temple and Okazaki Shrine. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness.

This is the hotel I was most looking forward to and the least happy about during my entire trip. I booked two nights for RMB 15,000. I arrived at the hotel at 22:00 on the first day. I could only check in at the lobby of the Westin ordinary room. I didn’t get any special reception. The guy at the front desk had the coldest attitude in the hotel during the entire trip. You can't even squeeze out a smile. When I was going through the process, something unexpected happened. The employee in charge of Kaishuien (who was not wearing a kimono, but was dressed in the clothing department) was very serious and even said to me with a black face, ”You, immediately, tell your child not to have sex” Stomping in the lobby! I even thought I heard it wrong, because the lobby was a very empty traditional lobby, and not even a single guest was seen at night. I don’t know who was affected. I felt that she just hated children, so she issued such an order. I immediately called the two children After being quieter, she rolled her eyes and said nothing. When you first meet someone, you don't even give a warm greeting or greeting, but you start criticizing the guest. Is this the etiquette that your Jia Shui Garden should have? When we got to our room, it was even more exaggerated. She wouldn't let my two children talk! This is a suite, I don't understand why kids can't play in the room to express happiness and excitement? The introduction was always very robotic, and in the end, he actually accused my child of not putting his feet on the table. When the child heard that the sister didn't like him, he immediately hid, and the whole process was like a dean of discipline who kept scolding the child! This is the room I booked. It is my right to use it how I use it. How can I feel like I am living under someone else's roof? Finally, I couldn't help but politely argued with her, and rolled my eyes a few times. I want to ask what level of executive you are? Dare you treat your customers like this? Finally, I suppressed my anger and sent her away. I was so angry that I couldn't sleep all night. I have never felt so uncomfortable staying in a hotel! The next day her leader went to work. She was a very professional and attentive older lady wearing a kimono. Her service was very good. Only then did she realize that the last woman was a low-level employee responsible for cleaning and food delivery! It’s really a big deal! Fortunately, the people I contacted later were very polite and received meticulous care, but my mood was really deeply affected by this person on the first day! ! !
I regret not taking a picture of this person's name tag, but if you check with the hotel, you will definitely find it. It was a waiter in her 20s with bangs who received us on the first night.
Finally, in fact, if you book a regular room for 1,000 a night, you can also visit Jiashui Garden. You don't have to pay ten times the price to make a big mistake, especially if you step on the thunder like me, the gain will outweigh the loss.

A very good stay experience.
The location is very good, very close to the various attractions in Arashiyama, about 10 minutes on foot, quiet in the bustling city. But it takes more than 10 minutes to walk to the station, etc. If you are carrying luggage, it is still a bit inconvenient, you can take a taxi.
Because the red leaf season is very expensive, we booked a basic room type, which was allocated on the 2nd floor, but the view from the balcony is very good, with red leaves and Arashiyama in the distance. The room is quite satisfactory, and the luxury hotel is average.
The service feels very individual. The front desk reception we just checked in was very polite and very good. When we checked out, we felt just so-so, a little arrogant.
The hotel is not big, but the landscaping is beautiful, one step at a time. Especially the small courtyard opposite the restaurant, it is very enjoyable to sit on the bed during breakfast, and there are two black cats in the yard. We took a lot of satisfactory photos in the hotel, the key point is that there is no one!
As for additional services, since our room did not have a bath, we tried the private baths in the hotel. There are two private baths next to each other. The bamboo forest environment is very good. I personally recommend the one inside. However, you need to make an appointment in advance, and the service fee is more than RMB 200. Before leaving, I asked the hotel to help reserve a taxi from Kyoto Station, which cost about RMB 200, which was very convenient for catching the plane.

The decoration of the hotel is taken to the extreme
Six Senses was originally a Zen hotel.
It seems more integrated in Kyoto
Six Senses Kyoto is one of the few international Six Senses without natural landscapes.
It can be seen that he wants to make up for the shortcomings with refinement.
It's so small that even a doorstop and a trash can are the work of foreign designers.
Every corner is full of details and every corner is full of surprises
The restaurant’s ingredients are also made from the freshest fruits and vegetables of the season.
In addition to a la carte breakfast, the hotel also has buffets.
Every dish is made with great care and delicious.
After check-out, a taxi will be sent to Kyoto Station.
95% of the hotel’s visitors are European and American tourists
Moreover, the number of rooms is small and there are not many people using the facilities. The experience is great. Highly recommend.

Very satisfied with the stay experience. The room is large and clean. We booked 2 rooms for a family trip. The housekeeper Carina upgraded it to a villa for everyone to stay in. The housekeeper service is very good and considerate. The whole family is also very satisfied with the hotel's travel photography during the Chinese Valentine's Day. We look forward to staying next time.
