The HOSHINOYA Kyoto is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The HOSHINOYA Kyoto is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Kyoto. The hotel offers easy access to Arashiyama Station, just 700m away. Guests will find Arashiyama, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Okochi Sanso Garden just a short distance from the hotel. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. Guests of this Kyoto hotel can make use of the parking facilities.
"I am from Yangzhou, Jiangsu. Although Yangzhou is a garden city, there are many such style escape hotels in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, Hongxi Noya of Hoshino Group is definitely worth living. The overall health is very good, the facilities are well maintained and there is no musty smell. That is, all the windows can be wiped clean. This time I checked in in the evening. When I took a taxi, I saw the sunset of Lushan, which was a value-added item. The reception staff was very polite and welcoming. At night, the girl was invited to drive us to the hotel entrance. This road was too standard, almost standing on the mountain, and there was a feeling of adventure. When I checked out, I felt the ship of Hoshino. By the way, I recommend the dyeing workshop and Zhai Pavilion are diagonally opposite. If you like the scenery, it is worth seeing."
We chose a large corner room with windows on both sides. The hotel building has a history of more than 200 years. The location is great. It is right at the entrance of Kiyomizu Temple Commercial Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. The hotel is very quiet and elegant, with high-end decoration, complete facilities and excellent service!
Breakfast is served in a library-style restaurant, which is very special. I highly recommend Japanese breakfast. Everyone thinks it is high-end Japanese cuisine when they post it on WeChat Moments. There are also vegetarian and children's meal options for breakfast. I also strongly recommend the window seat in the executive lounge. Drink Japanese tea or Japanese whiskey in the afternoon and look at the quaint buildings outside. It is worth the effort!
My top recommendation from this Japan trip. It actually has more of a guesthouse or boutique inn feel. There are only six rooms in total, each featuring a kitchenette and a washer-dryer combo unit. The room amenities are excellent, and the staff service was fantastic. They were incredibly helpful with various needs, from making dinner reservations to offering local travel tips. Breakfast was also generous, often more than I could finish. It's located near the Kamo River Delta, and public transportation by tram and bus is very convenient. It's the perfect spot to just relax and unwind in Kyoto for a bit. I will definitely return.
So glad that I chose Six Senses Kyoto, love the design and everything about the hotel. I must say the pool was one of the best pools I ever swam, felt so calm and relaxed. Room was super comfortable and clean, overall experience was beyond my expectations. Thank you the team for their impeccable service, they are so well trained and professional. Excellent quality breakfast with buffet and à la carte menu.
The hotel is very pretty, Andre Fu never fails to impress! Breakfast was nice with good variety to choose from, would be great if we can have a drink menu as well.
The room was a bit small for 3 ladies and the bathroom is quite transparent. Would be great if switchable smart glass is used instead for the bathroom window for privacy. Despite the minor inconvenience, the bathtub is amazing and spacious. It’s perfect for couple.
The thermal spring is clean and is usually not busy. The hotel provides swim suit for guests as it is a mixed pool. The service was smooth and the environment is very relaxing. The only thing we didn’t like about the spring was that there is no natural lights as it is located in the basement. Don’t miss out on the morning breathing session!
Special shoutout to the concierge team as they very efficiently helped us with restaurant and workshops recommendation and bookings prior to our arrival. Taxis were arranged promptly every time. We had a really good time in Kyoto and we can’t wait to come back again!
