"If you are looking for the perfect combination of homely modern comforts in an authentic local experience, Bivou is the place for you. Bivou is an oasis of calmlocated conveniently in a side alley off the main street of Shuhe town. The local and western Food was delicious as they were made with greens from their own garden. We really appreciated the thoughtful help with drying our shoes and clothes when we experience rather wet weather. The personal service is excellent from staff like May and the owner who is a Singaporean who actively features local produce and businesses makes the stay most enriching. We enjoyed visiting a Naxi Art Gift shop’得鱼纳西原创礼物’ that had really unique Dongba gifts that was introduced to us. It’s located right next to the dragon pond and garden which is beautiful and quiet in the evening. If you are visiting snow jade mountain, it’s a shorter journey over from Shuhe town too."

"One of the most satisfying parts of my Lijiang trip was booking this hotel. First off, the hotel environment is truly wonderful. I could see the snowy mountains right from my room. Since I didn't want to rush out early and come back late this trip, I set an alarm to wake up, watch the sunrise from bed, and then go back to sleep! Secondly, the staff here are incredibly nice and provide excellent service. Not only did they upgrade our room, but they also helped us arrange transportation to the ancient town and airport transfer on our last day. Every day, they'd ask us what we wanted for our main breakfast dish the next morning, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of options, including fruit, and the coffee was really aromatic~ Also, the hotel's location is super convenient for getting to both Lijiang Ancient Town and Shuhe Ancient Town… All in all, I had a fantastic four-day, three-night stay at Yundu. Guanfang Hotel (Lijiang Old Town )
"First off, the key card system at the entrance is a hassle. You can't just leave the card in; you have to insert it correctly and immediately pull it out, otherwise the door won't open. The hotel facilities are quite old, and the Wi-Fi is poor – it's a public network shared by all rooms, worse than university campus Wi-Fi. The hairdryer is ancient, looks like a vacuum cleaner, and it was broken. The AC in the room is weak, and it gets stuffy if you don't open a window. Breakfast was okay though, with a good variety."

"The hospitality was excellent; they proactively contacted us with travel advice. The afternoon tea and traditional stove-side tea were incredibly generous. The location is superb, offering views of both sunset and sunrise, directly facing the snow-capped mountains. If you're lucky, you might even see the full panorama. The facilities are comprehensive, with laundry, drying, and exercise options all available, making it perfect for a restful stop during your travels."

"I must say that the service was really good. The staff is fast to reply even though it is now peak period here. Come early for breakfast if u are here during this time because there was practically nothing much left this morning. It was fine on the first day. I stayed two days. I think what attracted me to this hotel were the workshops and other activities they offer. It is also near shuhe ancient town which has a more rustic charm as compared to the other ancient towns. They are also a 7 min drive away from Muyu and Lan restaurant, some of their popular trending restaurants here. Overall the environment is very chill and has lots of green. You can call for a buggy to bring u to the main entrance or back to your room. The rooms are villa style which is refreshing after the minsu(s) I stayed in. Cleanliness wise esp the floor could be better, I gave the feedback and they immediately got housekeeper to clean up for me. A good value stay when you get the voucher on the app. I will come back again. Ps. There are 3 resorts in the same area which can be confusing. But just get the"

Being a new establishment, the rooms are wonderfully fresh with no lingering smells (in fact, they're quite fragrant!). It's also super close to Lijiang Old Town. Plus, you can even see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the stunning 'Golden Mountain in the Sunshine' phenomenon right from the hotel. The location is just fantastic, and parking is very convenient too. We absolutely loved our stay!"
