JiaoshenmehaonexiechengTraveling with my little one, staying at Lijiang Shitoucuo Snow Mountain Resort was the absolute highlight of our trip – I wholeheartedly recommend it to families with kids!
The hotel boasts a serene environment with direct views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Parking is convenient, making self-driving a breeze. The gentle cats and dogs at the hotel were a huge hit with my child; every morning, they’d wake up and immediately run off to play with the pets, having the happiest time. When we checked out, my little one was so sad to leave, constantly talking about how much they’d miss the cats and dogs.
The staff were incredibly kind and patient, especially accommodating towards children. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and healing, devoid of any commercial hustle and bustle. Everything from the courtyard environment and room cleanliness to the amenities and services was impeccable. We had such a comfortable stay.
This stay was exceptionally satisfying. My child and I have already promised to return to Shitoucuo for another vacation when we have the chance!

shareseowAn Unforgettable, High-Quality Stay in Lijiang Old Town!
As a selective traveller, I am thrilled to say that Arula.J has been the absolute best stay of my Yunnan trip. It excels in every category:
1) Stunning Design: The architecture and interior design are beautifully and thoughtfully curated from the moment you step into the courtyard. It offers a tranquil respite from the busy streets beyond its borders.
2) Perfect Location: Offers seamless, effortless access directly into the Lijiang old town and is just a short walk to the Mu Fu (mansion).
3) Exceptional Comfort & Perks: I was spoiled with a free upgrade to a spacious room that beautifully blends modern amenities (like an automatic toilet) with traditional vibes exuding from the room furniture, fittings and etc.
4) Generous Hospitality: They truly prioritise a premium guest experience, with every staff member providing a warm reception, followed by flexible afternoon tea by the water, a complimentary ethnic outfit photoshoot (all softcopies included), free drinks all-day by the pondside, and a thoughtful parting gift of curated tea leaves.
Interacting with Xiao J (their resident deer) and taking photos on the rooftop were absolute highlights. All in all, it has been a flawless experience that enhanced my travel immensely! Thank you, Arula.J!
I highly recommend Arula.J to fellow travellers. Hope you find the unfiltered photos of my Arula.J experience useful in your decision-making.

Guest UserThe hotel is located in Lijiang Old Town, making it an excellent choice for anyone who wants to explore the area on foot.
One of our rooms was upgraded, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay in Lijiang. The hotel also offers many complimentary activities for guests to enjoy.
The property features a beautiful garden with several alpacas and peacocks roaming around, allowing guests to interact and play with them. The rooftop view is another major highlight, as on a clear day you may be lucky enough to enjoy a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains.

Voyage_8Booked a three-room private courtyard for our family. The view from the rooms is absolutely stunning. This hotel truly lives up to its 'mini-Aman' reputation, boasting a charming antique style and top-tier room amenities. There are also plenty of free DIY activities for kids to enjoy. I highly, highly, highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a beautiful environment. The staff's service is also exceptional. Just a heads-up, the hotel is located inside the ancient town, so cars can't pull directly up to the entrance. However, the hotel staff will come out to help with luggage, and it's only a 5-6 minute walk, which isn't a problem at all. The hotel is just a two or three-minute walk from the Mu Family Mansion, truly in the heart of the ancient town. Thumbs up!

Guest UserI stayed for two nights at the Hotel Indigo Lijiang Old Town, and it was by far the best accommodation experience during my entire Yunnan road trip. I truly can't recommend it enough!
The hotel boasts a superb location at the south gate of the Old Town, just a few minutes' walk to Sifang Street. While nestled right next to the bustling Old Town, the hotel's courtyard remains exceptionally quiet and serene, perfectly balancing the lively atmosphere with a peaceful retreat. The overall design seamlessly integrates the culture of the Tea-Horse Road caravans, with thoughtful touches everywhere – from the saddle-shaped front desk and horseshoe-shaped hardware to the Naxi-inspired soft furnishings – truly creating an immersive ambiance.
I must particularly commend the entire staff for their attentive and proactive service throughout my stay: the bellhop readily helped with my heavy luggage, the front desk patiently explained routes for exploring the Old Town and recommended local eateries. Any last-minute requests were handled with incredible speed. Housekeeping was meticulous and thorough, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring I got a good night's sleep after days of travel and sightseeing. The room's amenities were high-quality, facilities were complete, and privacy was excellent.
The breakfast included a fantastic array of authentic Lijiang local snacks, all with genuine flavors. Staying here allows you to easily explore the Old Town while also escaping the hustle and bustle for some peaceful rest. Whether it's the design aesthetic, the location, or the warm service, everything was impeccable. Next time I visit Lijiang, this Indigo will still be my top choice!

ZYC 11This stay was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The hotel lobby opens out to a huge lawn with direct views of the snow-capped mountains. The butler was incredibly welcoming and guided me every step of the way with a warm smile, even proactively recommending nearby hiking trails. The attention to detail was exceptional.
The room itself was an even bigger surprise. Opening the window revealed a stunning green vista. The bedding was incredibly soft, like sinking into clouds. The bathroom's wet and dry areas were immaculately clean, and the toiletries had a lovely woody scent that I really enjoyed. They even provided their own branded merchandise as amenities, and the cube-shaped sofa was a fantastic touch.
There was absolutely nothing to complain about throughout my entire stay. Both the facilities and the service details showed incredible thoughtfulness, and the breakfast spread was very generous.

Guest UserI stayed for three days in early August during the peak season, around the Torch Festival, and the overall service experience was quite mediocre. First, let me start with the positives: the room was very clean. Throughout my stay, I didn't see a single hair on the carpet or the bed each day.
Now for the negatives: 1. Breakfast was so crowded that there was no dining experience at all. On the first day, I was ”tricked” into going to the cafe for breakfast, under the pretext that the main restaurant was too full. I say ”tricked” because the server said the two places offered the same food, but I later discovered that the cafe's selection was only about one-tenth of what the main restaurant offered. This was totally unnecessary. Firstly, for most guests, the dining experience (fewer people) far outweighs a few extra dishes. Secondly, the servers could have easily informed guests in the cafe that they could get food from the main restaurant and then eat it in the cafe. This level of service is completely inconsistent with the hotel's positioning.
Secondly, the hygiene at breakfast was concerning. I understand it's peak season and crowded, but it's unacceptable when cutlery in the table caddies isn't replenished promptly. Moreover, I even found used cutlery from previous guests in the cutlery holder! (See picture). After informing a server, they very calmly took it away and then placed new cutlery directly into the caddy that still had food residue in it! They didn't even clean the caddy!
Overall, the quality of service from both the front desk and restaurant staff urgently needs improvement. When I had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, I was also constantly bothered by three flies, yet several servers stood by and watched without doing anything. (See picture).
While the view is nice, I would advise against dining in the restaurant, and the breakfast experience was also extremely poor.

If you're visiting Lijiang's Shuhe Ancient Town, you absolutely cannot miss the amazing Guanxin Inn! The environment here is beautiful, with lush greenery in the courtyard and fresh air that instantly helps you relax. The bedding in the rooms is exceptionally comfortable – a good night's sleep here will leave you feeling completely refreshed! The service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive; no matter what you need, they'll help you out, making you feel as warm and welcome as if you were at home. Step outside the inn and you can immediately experience the ancient town's unique charm and leisurely pace of life, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation and capturing some great photos! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and immersive experience of Lijiang's culture!

We had never stayed in a homestay before, but Yintang Museum • Snow Mountain Cliff Forest Oxygen Art Manor was so much more than just a hotel. It became one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Yunnan.
From the moment we arrived, the owners and staff treated us like family. As first-time visitors to China who don’t speak Chinese, we were initially nervous, but the team made everything feel effortless and welcoming. They either spoke English with us or used a translation app, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They even set up a WeChat group with us so we could ask for recommendations, organise local excursions, or join activities at the hotel such as the sound bath and tea ceremony. After coming from the fast pace of Shanghai, this place felt incredibly peaceful and grounding.
The location was perfect, close enough to walk straight into Shuhe Ancient Town without relying on DiDi, yet still quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by nature.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The design and interiors are elegant, with the owner’s artwork displayed throughout the property, which gives the whole place such a unique and magical atmosphere. It truly feels immersed in nature and has such a calming energy.
The breakfast had a great variety, and we also ate at the restaurant in the evenings a few times. Everything was fresh and cooked on-site by the chefs. One day I wasn’t feeling well, and the staff kindly made me a simple plain porridge, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
Our room felt incredibly homely. The bed was secretly one of the most comfortable we slept in during our trip, the room stayed cool despite the warm weather, and the shower was powerful with everything kept spotless and clean.
A very special thank you to Moony and all of her wonderful staff for making this such an unforgettable trip. Your kindness, warmth, and care made us feel safe and genuinely looked after during our first visit to China, and we will always remember it with gratitude.
We honestly wish we had stayed longer. This place gave us not only comfort and relaxation, but also confidence and warmth during our first experience in China. We would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Lijiang.

yiweng170This is my second stay at the Wyndham Lijiang Railway Station, and here's why:
1. The location is absolutely superb! It's only about 300-400 meters from the train station, which means a quick and easy start to a relaxing stay upon arrival in Lijiang, and a smooth departure. No need to tire yourself out.
2. The service is fantastic! I added the butler on WeChat, and they were incredibly responsive, helping me with any issues immediately. They even upgraded me to a family room – a huge shout-out to the little butler!
3. They offer self-service laundry and dryers, which many five-star hotels don't provide for free; you usually have to pay. The Wyndham Lijiang Railway Station is a pioneer among five-star hotels in this regard. For long-term travelers like us, this is incredibly useful. I really hope all five-star hotels will offer self-service laundry in the future, giving guests the option of self-service or paid service.
4. No need for a taxi to eat, there are plenty of restaurants right across the street.
From now on, the Wyndham Lijiang Railway Station will be my top choice whenever I visit Lijiang.
