"What an incredible architecture design! Amandayan is a tranquil, zen oasis in the beautiful and very busy town from downstair. The service is Aman and Aman but quit lower than each other. The rooms interior are normal with traditional but a great vibe with the big space and more. Staff aren’t hand on and available at all times of the day and night and runs as other Aman. Tea testing activity so much fun!! Truly a unique, special experience HIGHLY RECOMMEND! But one problem in this stay is the guard of the back gate (if you wanna step down to the old town) he can’t remember me even though they got all the guest not over 20 persons, he can’t speak English and try to block me to come to inside anyway… no other staff there, so sad for Aman standard T_T and really sad for my life 😌"

"Opening the curtains revealed stunning snow-capped mountains. We were incredibly lucky to witness a sky full of stars during the evening stargazing activity, and then woke up to the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain' phenomenon (sun illuminating the peaks) in the morning. Perhaps due to the high altitude, we didn't sleep very well at night, and unfortunately, my child experienced altitude sickness the next day. However, the hotel's service was prompt and responsive. Overall, it's a worthwhile experience. Regarding the BoJue Travel Photography Dual Image Service: simple makeup costs 100/person, and additional photos are 80/photo after the first five. I'm not sure if this pricing is considered high, but the photo editing was so extensive my own family couldn't even recognize me, hahahaha. For the one-time welcome fruit and daily mini-bar soft drinks in the room: I'm not a fan of overly sweet beverages, and the welcome fruit was just a few winter dates and two oranges. Happy Hour Snacks (Buffet): The afternoon tea was quite good, with buffet options."

"Overall, Banyan Tree is an excellent hotel and highly recommended. Despite its age, the hotel's layout and elegant ambiance are still well-preserved. The staff quality is commendable; general service personnel are polite and greet guests, while dedicated staff are efficient, neat, and professional. However, given the hotel's age, I noted a few areas for improvement: 1. Indoor furniture requires maintenance; for instance, wardrobe doors should open and close silently. 2. The shower room has an outdoor access door that needs a more secure locking mechanism. 3. There's a ramp at the entrance to the shower area; this should either have a visible warning sign or be proactively mentioned by the butler via WeChat. 4. Some power outlets appear to be retrofitted upgrades; the cut-outs for the flush-mounted boxes are rough, and the panel colors don't match the room's aesthetic, detracting from the overall look. 5. Outdoor equipment installation lacks attention to detail, impacting visual appeal. Examples include exposed pipes, conduits, wires draped under eaves, and oddly placed surveillance cameras. **Cleanliness:** The room was spotless, a fundamental requirement for any establishment. **Environment:** The hotel's setting is wonderful, with beautiful, elegant, and stylish garden design. **Service:** The service was excellent – attentive and thorough, yet never intrusive. **Facilities:** The facilities are comprehensive, including a dedicated desk, which is very convenient for business travelers or those needing to work on holiday. However, it's evident the hotel is older, showing some signs of age and lacking modern smart features."

"First, regarding the location: it's a pleasant 7-minute walk to Lijiang Old Town's South Gate, and the hotel's North Gate offers direct access to the Old Town itself. There's also a convenience store near the North Gate, handy for buying oxygen tanks. The hotel is comprised of individual villas, ensuring excellent privacy and a wonderfully quiet atmosphere. The gardens are beautiful, with lush greenery throughout. A major highlight is being able to see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from the lobby! The breakfast selection is incredibly rich and satisfying. For transport, Zhongyi Market bus station is just a 5-minute walk away, providing access to the 101 bus line for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and other direct scenic shuttles. We stayed for 3 nights and were thoroughly impressed. Electric carts shuttle guests between the lobby and their rooms, which is a nice touch. All the staff members were exceptionally friendly; the attendant at the North Gate, for instance, always greeted us with a warm smile and opened the gate. My only suggestion would be to offer a pick-up/drop-off service at the Old Town's South Gate. It's not far, and getting off the airport shuttle there meant navigating challenging cobblestone streets with luggage."

"The hotel itself is truly beautiful. Our lakeside suite offered lovely views of the hotel's artificial lake, where we enjoyed watching the cygnets gracefully swim – it was incredibly serene. Jennifer provided exceptional service. Another major plus was the incredibly spacious suite, and visiting during the off-season offered excellent value for money. Overall, our hotel experience was fantastic. As expected from a five-star hotel, the bedding was incredibly luxurious; both the mattress and duvet were wonderfully soft and comfortable. There were also plenty of activities, making it easy to spend our entire stay enjoying the hotel's facilities. We'll definitely be back!"

"This is my second time staying at this hotel. My last visit was six years ago, and I had a very good impression. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. I was upgraded to a villa for the first two nights after check-in, even though I hadn't booked one. The delivery service was also very timely! The service was excellent. The off-season villa package offered great value. The airport transfer service was incredibly worthwhile, with a Tesla for pickup and drop-off. The afternoon tea was also delightful. The room was incredibly quiet. I stayed for six nights, spending half days exploring, and developed a habit of taking baths and going to bed early. I felt completely rejuvenated, as if all the stress from the daily grind had melted away. It's perfect for those seeking a relaxing and restorative getaway. Light sleepers or those with sensitive nerves will truly find excellent rest in this villa! The hotel is very close to Shuhe Ancient Town, which I actually prefer. I truly love its quiet and less crowded atmosphere. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I saw little ducks and pigeons every day. It's a slight pity I didn't get to see the snow-capped mountains often due to the recent rainy season, but the environment is truly comfortable. I'd definitely want to stay here again on my next visit. While there were a few minor imperfections, they certainly didn't detract from the overall excellent experience. The good truly outweighed the minor flaws, and the service was attentive yet never intrusive."

"Traveling during peak season meant higher prices, but I was thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. I'd happily choose to stay here again on my next visit to Lijiang. **Service:** Two days before our arrival, the staff proactively reached out via WeChat, offering travel advice and assistance. During our stay, welcome fruit, snacks, and evening sweet soup were consistently provided. The young staff members were all polite, enthusiastic, patient, attentive, and responsive, doing their best to accommodate our needs. My only minor regret was that a late check-out couldn't be arranged due to our late flight. **Location:** The location is excellent. It's on Changshui Road, just a 3-5 minute walk from Zhongyi Market. There's also a convenient side entrance that leads directly into the South Gate of the Ancient City. From there, it's only a 7-8 minute walk to Mu's Residence. **Facilities:** The hotel isn't large in scale, but the courtyard's overall design and landscaping are exquisite and comfortable. It seems to have opened in December 2024, so the room facilities are brand new. The shower equipment is modern, the TV offers convenient screen casting, and the comfortable bed ensured no back pain. The room also provided two types of pour-over coffee and two types of tea; I particularly enjoyed the black tea. The hotel's pet deer are a definite highlight for families with children – even my older child was excited to feed them daily. We were three people staying in a double room, and they thoughtfully waived the extra bed charge and included breakfast, which was a very kind gesture. **A Few Minor Downsides:** Firstly, the restaurant is quite small, leading to queues during peak dining times. Secondly, while the food was tasty, the variety felt somewhat limited for the hotel's price point. Hot items like rice noodles, wontons, corn, and purple sweet potato weren't openly displayed; instead, we had to order them from a server and wait for them to be brought from the kitchen. Lastly, some popular items seemed to run out quickly. For instance, the delicious thick yogurt wasn't available on our first morning, and on the second day, it wasn't replenished after the first wave of guests took it."

"We stayed at Stone Hotel 石头厝 for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! I am so glad we discovered it after searching on Trip.com for quite a while. We were looking for a hotel in Lijiang that is quiet and peaceful, with views of Yulong Snow Mountain, and has the modern comforts of a luxurious boutique hotel. The hotel is located outside of Lijiang town, approximately 30-40min drive, and right next to Yuhu Village. If we needed to go anywhere, the hotel provides a car drop-off service in a luxurious MPV. It’s also easy to call a car on DiDi. The room is beautifully designed with elements of copper and wood, blending modern and traditional. The bed and pillows are among the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my travels. Being a city girl, I’m delighted with the Dyson hairdryer, Marshall speaker, and Aesop hand soap! The free mini fridge is stocked with beer, Perrier sparkling water, soft drinks, and if not enough, just pop over to the restaurant where the fridge and fruit bar is open and free all day! The amazing variety of fruits are the sweetest I’ve tasted, all grown locally. Even the nuts are sweet, I think they roast them in some sweet milk. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes but we had hotpot every dinner just because the soup is so delicious and the meats so tender. At dinner, the Naxi brothers will drink a toast and sing for every guest as their way of welcoming the guests and treating them as friends. If you dare to, try their local herbal/fruit alcohol (very strong!) We also love that for breakfast, they serve a selection of local side dishes which we enjoyed trying. Their concierge/front desk team welcomed us warmly even before arriving (via WeChat), and supported us very well throughout our stay. The whole experience of coordinating airport pickup and booking their various activities and amenities (afternoon tea, evening drink, dinner, car) was seamless and fast. Before going out, the front desk staff always makes sure that we are well equipped for the day with water, umbrella, oxygen, chocolates. All the staff are always happy and friendly, making us feel like we are friends because the service is so personalized. We chatted with many of them and had the chance to learn a little about each of them, their lives and their culture. They know that we love playing with their dogs and the little lamb DuoDuo, and gave us many chances to play with them and even feed little DuoDuo. One can feel that they love their work there. After leaving, we are still missing little DuoDuo, the amazing staff and warm hospitality, and the comfortable room. I’ve traveled to many places, and this is one of the rare times where I miss the place and the people so much. We highly recommend Stone Hotel 石头厝 to anyone visiting Lijiang! And I hope we have to chance to come back and stay with them again."

"Highly recommend Bolang! Our stay here was incredibly hassle-free. The location is definitely its biggest advantage – it's close to Nanmen Square and offers easy access to all the main attractions. We timed it ourselves: a mere ten-minute walk to Sifang Street and eight minutes to Mufu, so it’s quick and convenient to pop back to the hotel for a rest when you’re tired from exploring. The area surrounding the hotel is bustling with dining options; you don't even need to consult a guide – just step outside and you'll easily find delicious food everywhere. Every morning, we'd even stumble upon alpacas and peacocks leisurely roaming the courtyard – it was incredibly therapeutic and charming. The third-floor restaurant with its panoramic views is also worth checking out. The food is delicious, and you can enjoy the scenery while having breakfast or afternoon tea. It truly lacks the impersonal atmosphere often found in larger hotels. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit!"

"Lijiang Indigo Hotel is conveniently located right at the South Gate of Lijiang Old Town. We appreciated the direct car access, which saved us the unpleasant experience of hauling luggage through the ancient town. The hotel's theme appears to be the Ancient Tea Horse Road, with many related decorative elements throughout. While not expansive, the landscaping and design are quite well done, creating beautiful photo opportunities for children. The accommodation units are designed as two-story courtyard houses. Our Deluxe Boutique King Room was on the ground floor and featured a private small courtyard. However, our room, facing Xianghe Road, was a bit noisy. After communicating with front desk staff David Wangzi and Lydia, they promptly moved us to a quieter room on the north side the next day, which was a great relief. Both rooms had similar amenities, though the second room was slightly smaller in indoor area. It lacked an entrance foyer and a large soaking tub, having only a standard bathtub. However, as I prioritize quietness, it was perfectly fine for me. For breakfast, you have the option of a semi-buffet at Indigo or a full buffet at the adjacent InterContinental Hotel (both under the same brand). Each option has its unique advantages: Choose Indigo for a more refined and distinctive experience. Their breakfast offers Chinese options (wontons, freshly cooked congee), Tea Horse Road specialties (rice noodles), Western dishes (Eggs Benedict), and I believe there's also a vegetarian choice. If your set meal isn't enough, you can order additional items. Opt for the InterContinental if you prefer a wider variety of dishes. Overall, my impression was very positive. The only minor suggestion would be for slightly brighter indoor lighting, which would make it absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!"
