"The hotel facilities and services were great. The only thing was the 'unpredictable' housekeeping service. Since I was traveling alone, I preferred not to be disturbed and had informed the hotel beforehand. They arranged my room perfectly, but they didn't ask if I needed daily room cleaning. I assumed the front desk would ask, but they didn't. On the second day, housekeeping knocked directly on my door. The problem is that their windows are glass, and if I open the blackout curtains, people outside can see in, which startled me. It actually happened twice in one day – there was also a turndown service at night that knocked directly. I think the hotel really needs to improve this. The intention behind the service is good, but if they had just asked about my preferences before check-in, it would have been better for everyone."

"Staying in the Jacuzzi Villa was an absolute delight! The Naxi-style courtyard was elegant and peaceful, and the private, temperature-controlled Jacuzzi was clean and comfortable. Soaking under the stars at night melted away all my travel fatigue. I must commend Elin, our butler, for her outstanding service. From coordinating before our arrival to her attentive care during our stay, she was always quick to respond to any needs. She was thoughtful and professional, never intrusive, which truly enhanced the relaxing vacation vibe. The facilities were excellent, and the service was an added bonus – a perfect Lijiang getaway! Highly recommended!"

The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are comfortable, equipped with oxygen supply and underfloor heating, which is a great touch for a high-altitude location. Owen and Liora provided attentive online service throughout our stay, responding promptly to all our needs. The hotel also offers cultural experiences, like Dongba culture, where you can quietly enjoy the changing clouds and the unique tranquility of the snow mountain. There's even an observatory for stargazing, and we had the chance to marvel at the Milky Way with an instructor at night. The yak hotpot was authentically delicious. Far from the noise of the Old Town, this quiet and healing retreat at the foot of the snow mountain is definitely a place worth visiting at least once in a lifetime."

"Before coming to Lijiang, I considered many hotels, and I trusted the IHG quality. InterContinental Hotels LIJIANG ANCIENT TOWN RESORT by IHG is right next to Lijiang Ancient Town, literally 0 distance, and only a few hundred meters from Mu's Residence. The room environment is top-notch.
The hotel's reception service is excellent; they are attentive and follow through on any issues.
However, the service level of the dinner staff needs improvement. I suggest strengthening the management and training of the F&B department. Basic issues repeatedly occurred in the frontline service process, which clearly indicates a management problem. I recommend replacing the F&B management; I believe the service experience would then reach an even higher level."

"I was a bit worried after reading some negative reviews before arriving, but after checking in, I felt it was pretty good. We booked a suite with our children, and the facilities inside were great and clean, with no musty smell. From check-in to check-out at the front desk, the staff were all very friendly. Whenever we called the front desk for a ride, the shuttle would come immediately! The hotel scenery is unbeatable, and the children's activities at the lakeside pavilion were plentiful. We didn't leave the hotel for two days, and the kids were constantly feeding alpacas and swans and fishing. The breakfast was rich but the taste was average. On the first day of breakfast, we were lucky enough to see the snow-capped mountains. Just for that view, I have to give it a 5-star rating. I will definitely come back to stay here if I visit Lijiang again. Personally, I think this is the best value for money hotel I've stayed at in Lijiang so far."

Ideal for escapes filled with culture, history and stunning surroundings, the resort offers easy access to many activities and is a gateway to the Shangri-la Region. Hotel also offers unique spa treatments (Operated by the third party) that replicate the spirit, soul and cultural traditions of ancient times.
"## Facility: The room with the hot spring bath was excellent. The open-air hot spring offered great privacy, and it was very pleasant to soak in the courtyard. The room was also very clean. Given that the hotel is older, some facilities are naturally a bit dated, but they were still comfortable to use.
## Environment: The room layout was very comfortable with a logical flow. Entering the garden, a quiet path leads to the building's entrance. Inside, the bedroom is to the left, and the walk-in closet and bathroom are to the right, making for a very smooth experience. The skylight bathroom design was also great. Overall, the space was very comfortable, and the cleanliness was well-maintained.
A minor point of concern was the toiletries; the toothbrush and toothpaste were not of good quality and uncomfortable to use. Also, on the first day, after washing my hair, I couldn't find the cotton swabs in the amenities kit. I had to specifically ask the cleaning staff for them the next day.
## Service: The front desk staff were polite and had a good attitude, but they seemed a bit unclear in their thinking, and their efficiency was not high. All in all, don't set your expectations too high, and it's generally acceptable."

Dwelling in the wild, with the head against the snow-capped mountain, one house, one pool, one stove of tea, sitting and listening to the swaying of leaves, listening to singing and dancing, lying and savoring the starry river of the moonlit night and the sunlight on the Golden Mountain. More love for life grows naturally along with the faint moonlight.
"Couldn't wait to leave a glowing review for Shitoucuo after checking out! My three-day stay at Shitoucuo was absolutely wonderful. On the day we arrived, the staff even upgraded our room. The soaking tub in the room was incredibly comfortable, and on a clear day, you could lie in bed and enjoy the lush greenery all around. Even though it rained for the first two days, Shitoucuo offered a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that kept us fully entertained and made every day feel fulfilling.
Shitoucuo is within walking distance to Yuhu Village and the Yuzhu Qingtian scenic spot. Longnv Lake is just a short walk to the left of the entrance, making the location very convenient. The local restaurants recommended by the staff were delicious, and the hotel's own dining options were excellent too.
Every staff member was very responsive. Shitoucuo also provides shuttle services to and from the village and various activity locations. While I preferred walking, the staff responsible for the shuttle would always kindly ask if we needed a ride whenever they saw us on the road – their service was proactive and thoughtful. On our third day, my partner suddenly had a stomachache, and a staff member specially brought back the medicine we needed from the city, which was incredibly touching.

The hygiene was impeccable, with the room cleaned to a very high standard. The in-room facilities were also well-maintained, making it hard to believe the hotel has been open for so long. All services, from food delivery and luggage handling to room amenities, were prompt and efficient. I left my power bank in the room, and Byron immediately helped me locate it. For breakfast, you have the option of dining at the InterContinental or within the hotel itself. The InterContinental's breakfast spread includes all the local Yunnan delicacies, and you don't have to worry about getting an upset stomach. Plus, the InterContinental lobby offers breathtaking views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
The only minor drawbacks were during the evening shower when the water wouldn't drain, causing it to overflow onto the floor, and a family member almost slipped – I hope the hotel addresses this. Additionally, while carpets collect dust, they should also be cleaned regularly."

"I had a very satisfying stay at this 5-diamond hotel! My experience in Lijiang this time was particularly comfortable. During my extended stay, I needed coffee, tea, fruits, and drinking water daily. After communicating with the front desk, they responded very quickly, and all my requests were promptly arranged. Our departure car was at 3 PM, and we requested a 2 PM late check-out, which the hotel kindly coordinated. The service was very thoughtful and human-centered. The staff were warm, attentive, and communication was smooth and efficient. The room environment was comfortable, and the overall details were well-executed. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Lijiang; everything about it gives you peace of mind. I will definitely choose this place first again on my next visit to Lijiang!"

1. They helped upgrade my room.
2. The staff thoroughly explained the room facilities and hotel services.
3. They provided complimentary afternoon tea for my entire stay.
4. The hotel itself is very unique; if I recall correctly, it's a renovated Naxi ancient building, which perfectly matches the vibe of Lijiang Old Town.
5. Both breakfast and afternoon tea are set meals, but they are executed with exceptional quality and style.
Overall, highly recommend!!!
If this brand has hotels in other cities I visit in the future, I will definitely stay with them again."
