I only stayed one night at the Indigo Lijiang Ancient Town, but it left a deep impression. The overall environment has a strong local character, with architecture and courtyard designs that embody Naxi style. From the moment you enter the lobby, you're greeted with various horse-themed elements, likely inspired by the Tea Horse Road. Its location is at the South Gate, offering the experience of staying within the ancient town without the excessive noise. This time, I stayed in a room type with a private courtyard, which was a great experience. Having your own courtyard and independent entrance provided excellent privacy. Going back to the room felt more like returning to my own small courtyard in Lijiang, rather than just a regular hotel room. The room's interior was also very comfortable and spacious, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. If you're coming to Lijiang and want a more unique stay, I highly recommend this hotel.

This has been the most satisfying B&B I've ever stayed in. The facilities are excellent, the service is attentive, and responses are quick. They offer free high-speed rail pickup, luggage transfer, welcome afternoon tea, and bedtime milk. When we found a drain odor in our room, the staff checked it out and upgraded us immediately, resolving the issue promptly. The toiletries are also high-end, and you can even take home the slippers, bath towels, and regular towels. Aside from the slight noise issue and a limited breakfast selection, everything else was perfect. I would definitely choose Po Xin Yun She again next time.

The room was clean and tidy, and offered excellent value for money. The additional services provided were the most comprehensive I've ever experienced in a hotel: free airport pick-up, free laundry, free afternoon tea, and even a complimentary gift bag and souvenir. The breakfast was very thoughtfully prepared and aesthetically pleasing. The hotel staff were kind, friendly, and professional. The only drawback was that the room felt a bit cramped and the bathroom was quite tiny. Overall, I was satisfied with the design and give it a five-star rating.

I've been to Lijiang several times this year for both leisure and business, and I've always stayed at this hotel. This time, it was cloudy with occasional rain, but the room thoughtfully provided an umbrella, which was a nice touch. The front desk staff were very clear with their instructions, and all the employees were incredibly attentive. I even noticed a new addition this time: a ping-pong table, which was great. The common area for tea and chatting is truly elegant and pleasant. It's so relaxing to come back to the quiet hotel after a tiring day out, catch some sleep, and then enjoy a pot of tea in the courtyard. There's also a market nearby with fresh and affordable seasonal fruits. Overall, this was a fantastic experience.

The service was incredibly attentive, with a dedicated concierge providing constant, prompt responses. They even started checking our itinerary before check-in to ensure a smooth and efficient arrival. The hotel environment is wonderfully tranquil; cows would leisurely stroll past the main entrance at the same time each day, their bells jingling, creating a truly idyllic, 'peach blossom spring' atmosphere. The included tie-dye experience was excellent, and the spot to watch the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' (sunrise over the mountains) was at Longnü Lake – it was beautiful and uncrowded. On the way back, our driver thoughtfully pulled over so we could capture the moment the sun leaped over the mountains – the grandeur of nature was simply breathtaking. The only downside was that some room facilities were a bit old, like the showerhead, for example. 😄 Overall, a great experience, highly recommended!!!

For our Lijiang road trip, traveling with seniors and children, I specifically chose this highly-rated hotel, the Yueyun Courtyard Villa, opting for their 3-bedroom villa. First, the positives: convenient parking, close proximity to several ancient towns, beautiful common areas, and plenty of activities for children. The service was also excellent; from check-in at the front desk to housekeeping and help with luggage, everyone was smiling, warm, and attentive – truly commendable. However, the drawbacks were also very apparent: the villa definitely didn't look like it had been renovated in 2018. The floors creaked and were uneven, the facilities were old, and amenities were insufficient (no tissues in the ground floor living room, only one kettle for a three-story villa, an old hairdryer, inadequate hot water supply, etc.). The cleanliness was also frankly subpar. What was most unacceptable was the wooden spiral staircase with very narrow steps, making it extremely inconvenient for seniors or carrying luggage, and quite dangerous for children. Ultimately, we checked out after just one night.

The stay exceeded my expectations! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, the soundproofing was excellent, and the room design was tasteful. The owner was warm and attentive, providing breakfast rice noodles, afternoon tea, and even bedtime milk. The location is convenient, with a superb lake view, perfect for taking photos – very photogenic! Great value for money, I would definitely choose this place again!

The room is a private courtyard with an outdoor hot tub, and the hot water is ready in about forty minutes – fantastic! 👍 There's a tree with some fruit in the corner of the courtyard, though I'm not sure what kind. The table and chairs with a parasol in the middle of the courtyard make for a very pleasant spot to enjoy tea or play cards. 👍👍👍 At night, the soft lighting makes the courtyard feel even more tranquil and elegant. 👍👍👍 The hotel has a great natural environment; I even saw a squirrel scurrying along the wall, which was amazing! 😂😂😂 The hotel service is excellent, with golf cart transfers and even food delivery right to your room. The gym was almost always empty, so I had it all to myself twice! 😂😂😂 You can even see the snow-capped mountains behind the hotel.
