Over crowded on weekends, waiting 30 min for breakfast. Even the food quality affected due to the crowd . Felt a burnt flavour eating bread, when I looked back it was burnt. No one taking care of the food kept outside in the waiting hall for breakfast.
The worst front desk service in my last 25 years business travelling life. The staff is working his own and saying wait after I standing in front of the counter 3 minutes, then went off without greeting or referring to other staff. So surprise to know that he is the Sales in-charge after telling our feeling to other staff.
Breakfast is excellent and staff are kind always.
Cleaniness need to improve as many hairs in bathtub and water stains.
The room was quite large, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast is good and the staff was very attentive. I will definitely stay there the next time I am in Coimbatore.
One of a great hotels in Chennai. 10 mins away from shopping and restaurant by taxi. Staffs from the entrance, to the front desk, the waiters/waitress together with the house keeping staffs and not forgetting the technicians they were all super friendly and attentive.
Rooms are spacious and nice.
Overall we had a great stay and will surely stay here again for our next visit to Chennai.
I highly recommend this place for families with children. The location is excellent and the ambience is extraordinary. The resort's theme is Rajasthani and is very well-maintained. The hospitality and food are good, although there are a lot of flies, which can be a bit bothersome. The resort has a swimming pool suitable for children of all ages, but please be cautious as the pool area can get slippery. The resort also offers daily programs which are posted near the reception area to keep everyone entertained. It's not just a place to stay for the night, but a great spot to spend quality time with your family and relax.

Good- The hospitality and standards of taj were very well maintained. The garden area is beautiful. Breakfast was great!!
Not so good - the 2 bedroom suite had just one bathroom and the suits are in the middle of reception. No privacy in that sense.
The individual rooms are much better
The hotel is actually getting outdated with boring interior with fading colors and stripping off hard materials, they should do something about getting rid of birds that pooping on windows and unpleasant views. Exterior obviously can see lots of cracks all over building. Fayaz the front desk guy check in dunno how to smile when welcoming customers. You are saying it’s luxury collection hotel but something you have to work on it. Otherwise competitor will take over.
Had a pleasant stay for 3 nights. The room was spacious and super clean. Breakfast could not be better, they had a live cooking station for orders to cook, a variety for everyone. We went for drinks at the terrace on our third night as it wasnt raining and was accompanied by a live band. Recommended place to stay if you're planning on netflix and chill in the room.
This is my 2nd time staying in this hotel! I love this hotel due to strategic location near to shopping & food heaven❤️ what strike this time, the hotel pack 3 set of breakfast for us when I needed to check out early morning at 6am! They are very thoughtful and friendly and I’m really appreciated the effort
Next attraction was the sky restaurant at level 20! The scenery was unbeatable! It is simply wow

VVictorYetiDisappointing Experience with the In-House Nightclub
Overall, my stay at this hotel was good, but my experience with their in-house nightclub left a lot to be desired. When I tried to enter, I was abruptly informed that it was ”couples only”—a policy that was not mentioned anywhere on their website when I booked. If the nightclub is advertised as part of the hotel’s amenities, it should be clearly stated that solo male travelers are not welcome.
To make matters worse, the staff at the entrance were extremely rude. They asked me to move aside so a couple—who weren’t even hotel guests—could enter, while simultaneously demanding an absurd 10,000 INR entry fee from me. I’ve been to some of the top clubs around the world and have never paid even half that amount for entry.
When I raised my concerns with the front desk, the response was dismissive. One of the staff members simply said, ”Stags are not allowed.” I found the term both unprofessional and unnecessary. This lack of hospitality and fairness was disappointing enough that I’ve advised my friends—who had upcoming reservations—to cancel their stay.
If you're looking for a more premium and welcoming experience, I’d strongly recommend Leela Palace instead.

Restaurant food wasn’t nice for the price
Not worth to visit with family
GGuest UserOur stay was simply amazing! Loved the hotel especially due to exceptional customer service and fantastic eating experiences. The stay was simply perfect. Every staff member encountered were a delight and so helpful. Thank you for the wonderful memories.
BBeheraAll in all very happy with the stay.
But the biriyani I ordered(veg one) gave me discomfort. The curd accompanying it was stale to the point it tasted sour. Didn’t expect this low level of food from such a big establishment.

PPreetiStaff was very friendly and helpful always, the front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful, especially Aftab was helpful
excellent food and especially Chef Vignesh was always very accommodating with our requests and was very kind.
will def stay again and recommend too
GGuest Userno swimming pool even though advertized. no air conditioning in teh corridors. the carpet in the main lobby stinks. the rooms are nice and spaciaous and the service staff is excellent. the bathrooms are also nice and big and water is hot on demand. in my specific bath, the mixer was broken so water came out of the both teh show and the hand faucet together. towels are clean but only 99% dry. bathrobes are fresh and comfortable. so are teh beds and pillows. The inroom entertainment was very poor. (the raintree in st mary's road has better curated selection of entertainment). the views are of urban streets so nothing much to say. the colour schme is horrendous but that is only my personal opinion. The 24/7 coffee shop ”kitchen” had nice breakfast and dinner buffets with a wide range of food, all well cooked. all in all the newer Raintree hotel on st mary's road is much better, but the rooms and bathrooms there are much smaller. i hope once they finish renovating this hotel will get its act together.
GGuest UserWe visited this property after being there 20 years ago. Still a fab property. Staff exceptional. Place requires a lot of repairs and I am sure they are on to it. The only thing we were very upset was - about our drivers accommodation and food. A GRT run property DOES NOT provide food or not even a cup of tea. The accommodation provided had serious issues with mosquitos so our driver slept in the car. The location of the property was away from shops and other accommodation so to have a cup of coffee our driver had to drive a fair distance. I escalated this to the ***agement mid way of our stay - of course the answer was we will do it sir - but absolutely nothing happened. We plan to be back again as we like the place. But if this is not improved we will reluctantly look for alternatives.
HHighland NomnomWe felt super welcomed and well taken care of from the moment we alighted our transport from the airport. The staff were all pleasant and warm, making the stay really comfortable and cosy.
Room was comfortably sized and clean, toilet was also clean. There were many channels to watch on the TV. Breakfast was great, we especially loved the live stations where we can order dosa and scrambled eggs. Loved the chai.
Our room was also facing the river and we could raptor watch quite close from our window! Super exciting watching Black Kites swooping around.
The only down side is that soundproofing wasn’t the best and amenities look a little aged, but we aren’t too bothered and still enjoyed our stay. Thank you Radisson front desk and housekeeping staff!
