Outstanding
XXiaozhuPiggieFacilities: It's an older hotel, and while some of the furnishings are a bit dated, everything is very well-maintained.
Cleanliness: Very good.
Location: Excellent! It's very close to Senado Square and Grand Lisboa, making it convenient to get anywhere.
Service: Excellent! The front desk even offered a complimentary executive lounge pass for our child.
YYigexihuankuaileyouwandereneraTraveling with a friend after the May Day holiday, I booked two rooms – one with twin beds and one with a king bed. There was a connecting door between them. I called the front desk and asked them to open it, instantly turning them into a convenient suite for interacting, yet we could close the door for privacy when resting.
The hotel is surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area. The rooms are clean, and the beds are very comfortable. I booked without breakfast, opting instead to explore the streets and alleys for a unique Portuguese-style breakfast, which was a wonderful experience.
Upon returning to Gongbei Port, I booked a shuttle at the lobby for a specific time. The 8-seater car was very comfortable, much better than taking a random taxi to the port. The driver's service was excellent, a definite commendation!
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful and conveniently located, with clean public areas. The breakfast is more Western-style, so those who prefer Chinese stir-fries, fried rice, noodles, or steamed dim sum might find it less to their liking. We were fine with it and found enough to eat. As for service: housekeeping was decent, front desk service was secondary, and restaurant service was extremely average, with overly salty dishes for some reason. The room noise was a major issue – constant sounds of running water from pipes, air conditioning, and what sounded like furniture being dragged from upstairs or downstairs, which continued intermittently until late at night. The hairdryer quality didn't match the hotel's caliber, which was a poor experience. Overall, the service isn't as good as hotels in Taipa and definitely needs improvement, especially in guest-facing details, where there's a significant gap. This might be due to language barriers with the foreign staff.
GGary H.K. ChanIt was our anniversary and Gary at reception offered us a lte check out since we arrived at the hotel quite late. We were also upgraded together with a free red wine as our gift and we were thrilled and we were further offered 2 complimentary breakfast althought we didn't use att the end. I found out that I didn't take my airpods with me at the time when I checked out and we went to lunch. I came back and then 2 receptionists helped me out and called the room to bring it back down even after checkout, I m so pleased by the services Ascott provided me and to us.
Thank you very much and I will for sure come again.
Btw the room we stayed was really nice spacious and comfortable.
GGuest UserStayed in the Deluxe Grand Emperor Quadruple Room at the Grand Emperor Hotel Macau. The room had one king bed, one single bed, and an additional rollaway bed, so everyone had their own space without disturbing each other – the room was perfectly spacious. It was newly renovated in 2025, so the facilities were very new, and the lighting design was comfortable. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, with both a shower and a bathtub, which was very convenient for multiple people. The hotel is located right in the heart of the peninsula, next to the Grand Lisboa, and it's not far to walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining and shopping options. The service team was enthusiastic and answered all our questions. Overall, I felt it was excellent value for money. This room type is really suitable for families or a group of friends visiting Macau.
DDechuanqianxunThe hotel's location is quite convenient, with a bus stop right outside. Taxis in Macau aren't always easy to come by, and getting an Uber can take ages, so having a bus stop is a huge plus. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, a 7-Eleven, and popular spots like the Ruins of St. Paul's and Senado Square are all within walking distance. If you're feeling too lazy to go out, there's also a Café de Coral on the ground floor for easy meals. The hotel lobby is nicely decorated in a Baroque style, giving a glimpse of Macau's old golden splendor. The room itself is spacious and has a safe. The decor is a bit dated, but it's still perfectly functional. My only real dislike was the bedding. The mattress felt like an old-fashioned spring mattress – you'd sink right in, and the edges would dig into your legs. If two people were sleeping in the double room, one person turning over would definitely disturb the other. Overall, it's great value for money and I'd recommend it.
AAnonymous UserThe environment is nice, although the room is a bit dated. Especially at night, you can clearly hear the sound of the waves 🌊. The trees 🌲 are very tall, blocking the sea view.
Service: The restaurant hours are from 12:00 to 22:00, with breakfast ending at 10:00. As you can see, the hotel restaurant has high ratings, starting with breakfast. The decor, as shown in the picture, is quite interesting.
Cleanliness: When it rains 🌧, water leaks into the room. Many fixtures are old, especially the very old aluminum alloy door and window partitions. The air conditioning works great, but it's actually very energy-intensive. There are some cleanliness issues to note, with mold spots all over the room.
Plenty of information can be found online.
Facilities: The room is small and irregularly shaped, but it has a balcony facing the sea.
CCHANG WEI HAOThe price was actually quite good. The room was so cold that I didn't even need to turn on the air conditioning. However, the soundproofing was terrible; I could hear everything from the other rooms. If you can't stand that, don't choose this place. The front desk service was excellent, and the location was decent. The bathroom was clean, but it only had a fixed shower head, not a handheld one.
JJoanaVAppreciate the cleanliness and newness of the hotel. Especially the TV has youtube and can share screen so satisfying.
The HSKP attendants and room service server are very kind.
Though the front desk they need to be more effective with their service cause they didn't introduce the wifi and inform about the pool renovation.
PPulishendinachuangwuerThis hotel offers great value for money. It's very close to Galaxy Macau, just across the road. The view from the window is also lovely. Getting a taxi right outside the hotel is super quick, and the metro is also nearby. For food, there's a good restaurant called Macao Restaurant just a few hundred meters away; their pork chop bun is especially delicious and it's very affordable. From the restaurant, Taipa Village (Rua do Cunha) is also very close, perfect for a stroll.
