This is my review for this hotel, and while I've stayed in many hotels across the country, some of which I really liked and had excellent service, this particular hotel stands out. From the moment I encountered the front desk staff, both the guys and the ladies, I just loved it. The location is on the east coast, quiet and comfortable. The airport pick-up and drop-off service was fantastic; the car was large and very comfortable, and both drivers were incredibly nice. It was so convenient – as soon as we got out of the car, a front desk guy rushed over to help with our luggage, carrying our two large suitcases straight up to our second-floor room. He was very enthusiastic and thoughtful. Since we arrived around 10 AM, we couldn't check in immediately. A lady at the front desk prepared a fruit platter and poured us lemon water, which was a very warm gesture. We then went to Haiqinwan Shopping Mall in the city for lunch and a bit of shopping, which is very close and convenient. If you're looking to stay near Erhai Lake, this place is perfect, and the mall has everything. After checking in, our room had two large beds, which was ideal for our family of four – we were very comfortable. The minibar and mineral water were free, and there was a delicious and beautifully presented afternoon tea set with cake, nuts, and drinks. The room was also very spacious. I especially want to commend the smart toilet; its sensor was responsive and very convenient. The bathtub on the balcony was a hit with the kids, who enjoyed a very relaxing bath. In the evening, there were desserts and late-night snacks to try. The breakfast was plentiful, with a wide selection of main courses and drinks. Although breakfast typically ends at 10 AM, because we have children and tend to wake up later, we mentioned this to the front desk lady. She made sure breakfast was kept available until 10:30 AM or even almost 11 AM each time, which was incredibly thoughtful. The hotel is great for photos, and Erhai Lake is just across the road, offering stunning sunsets. The most important thing for me is that I hate it when people try to bribe me for good reviews or constantly ask for them; the more they do that, the less likely I am to comment. This hotel, however, was perfect throughout – any request we had was handled flawlessly, but they never pushed for reviews. It was quietly comfortable. Last year, I stayed at the Marriott in Yalong Bay, Sanya, and while my initial experience was good, they messaged me afterward asking for a good review, which instantly put me off, and I won't choose them again. This is the first time I've genuinely reviewed a hotel positively, and I hope it helps everyone.

Choosing Yunying Chunxiao·Shuiyuan is truly a love-filled experience. The hotel is right on the shore of Erhai Lake, offering stunning views of the sea right from your window. Enjoying the sunset in the evening and falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night is incredibly therapeutic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a simple yet sophisticated décor and complete with smart devices, making the stay super convenient. Our butler, Ms. Su, was incredibly attentive and helpful, assisting with itinerary planning and recommending off-the-beaten-path attractions. From breakfast and evening sweet soup, the attention to detail was impeccable. The complimentary travel photography experience was also excellent; the photographer was very professional, taking photos in the public areas that turned out beautifully, and the rooftop camera position for panoramic views of Erhai Lake was absolutely stunning. If you want to experience a truly slow-paced life in Shuanglang, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Full marks, full marks! We chose this place after seeing Xiao Jian's recommendation. The butler contacted us in advance to confirm the number of guests and helped us combine two beds. Upon arrival, we were treated to a delightful afternoon tea (fruits, pastries, nuts) and a late-night snack (red date and white fungus soup). Sitting on the seaside balcony was incredibly relaxing, and our two children couldn't stop exclaiming, 'This place is so beautiful!' The hotel also offered a complimentary 3-photo photoshoot, and that's when we discovered the incredible beauty of not only the sea view and swing in the first-floor restaurant but also the stunning glass room with a white bed on the third floor and the glass walkway on the rooftop. The decor is simply unbeatable. Beyond the fantastic aesthetics, the food was also outstanding. All four of us practically licked the plates clean with the sauce from the yellow curry shrimp, using it to mix with our rice. Luggage service was provided for both check-in and check-out, and a parking spot in a nearby lot was reserved for us in advance. The only minor inconvenience for us as a family with children: the bathroom and toilet in the room only had a glass and sheer curtain partition. It was a bit awkward when adults were showering, as we had to distract the kids with an iPad cartoon.

Even though I missed the best season for Erhai Lake, the view from the hotel window was incredibly healing, with the Cangshan mountain range and its cloud-shrouded peaks fully visible. Around 6 PM, the lawn in front of the hotel came alive with activity, buzzing with a vibrant atmosphere. I really loved the hotel's design style and the complimentary tea and snacks offered throughout the day – so many people asked me about it when I posted on my WeChat Moments!

We really enjoyed our stay here and wish we'd booked more nights here rather than near the Dali old town, it's location is great, the room is really comfortable and the staff are always helpful. The hotel appears to be newly built and a bit rustic upon the first look but is actually a hidden gem. The amenities in the room are great, we especially enjoyed the water pressure. Hotel guests can get vouchers to use the full sized gym on the second floor, which is much better equipped than hotel gyms and super convenient. We would definitely return to stay here next time we're in Dali.

I brought my mom to Dali for a trip and stumbled upon this hotel, Yunye Hotel, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The location is super convenient, not far from the ancient city, yet the environment is incredibly peaceful, like a little paradise with lush greenery all around. My mom couldn't stop raving about the room and the service – the bedding was comfortable, and the housekeeper was very attentive. She loved the rice noodles for breakfast and the afternoon tea, and there was even a sweet soup offered at night. Overall, it exceeded our expectations! We'll definitely be back next time and I've already recommended it to my friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at Hidden Mist (listed on Trip.com as Santorini National Tide Sea View Resort). If you are looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful lake views, outstanding hospitality, and easy access to the Dreamland Resort area, I would happily recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Location: The hotel is located within Dreamland Resort on the eastern side of Dali, approximately 20 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes from the railway station, and around an hour from Dali Ancient City. We stayed near the Ancient City first before moving here, which I would recommend for anyone wanting to explore both sides of Dali. The resort is large, beautifully maintained, and very walkable. Complimentary golf cart shuttles regularly transport guests around the resort, while taxis are easy to arrange from the main entrance. There are quite a few staircases throughout the property, so it may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility. Service: The service was exceptional and one of the biggest highlights of our stay. Before we even arrived, the hotel contacted us by email and created a dedicated WeChat group with staff from different departments so we could ask questions or request assistance at any time. Everything felt organised, personal, and effortless. From the moment we arrived, a golf cart was waiting to collect us from the resort entrance. Throughout our stay, the staff regularly checked in to ensure everything was going well and genuinely cared that we were comfortable. The handwritten welcome note, housekeeping notes after each room clean, and staff asking what time would be most convenient to service our room were thoughtful touches that made us feel truly looked after. Although our booking only included a complimentary airport or railway station pickup, the hotel kindly arranged an airport drop-off instead because we had arrived from another part of Dali. This was greatly appreciated. Room & Cleanliness: We booked a room with a private garden overlooking Erhai Lake, and it was absolutely worth it. Waking up to the peaceful lake view each morning quickly became one of our favourite parts of the stay. The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything still feels new and exceptionally clean. The large soaking bath, with bath milk replenished daily, was perfect after a day of exploring. The shower had excellent water pressure. As someone with very long hair, I found the shampoo and conditioner a little drying, so I would recommend bringing your own. The secure WiFi was reliable and fast enough for both my husband and me to work during our stay. Breakfast & Dining: Breakfast was excellent, with a choice between a Western breakfast and a local Yunnan set menu. We tried both, and every meal was fresh, well presented, and delicious. As we had an early flight on our final morning, the hotel prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, another thoughtful gesture that reflected the level of service throughout our stay. Our booking also included complimentary afternoon tea with cakes and fresh fruit. It would have been even better if guests could also choose a complimentary tea or coffee. The room includes quality tea, a premium kettle, and a mini fridge, although adding coffee would be a welcome touch, especially in Yunnan. Facilities & Surroundings: The hotel has a convenient power bank rental station in the lobby, and Dreamland Resort is full of beautiful cafés, viewpoints, and photo spots. Flomis Garden is less than a five-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient for visitors. Our booking also included a traditional tea ceremony experience, which unfortunately we did not have time to attend. We also received a beautiful woodblock print as a farewell gift, which was a lovely surprise. Overall: Hidden Mist combines beautiful accommodation with genuinely outstanding hospitality. 🌲 Dali Cangshan Oxygen Retreat | Living in This Forest, I Kicked My Phone Addiction🍃 Seriously, I'm so grateful! The biggest surprise of my Dali trip wasn't the ancient city or Erhai Lake, but this forest B&B nestled halfway up Cangshan Mountain 🌿. As we drove up from the city, the urban hustle and bustle slowly faded, replaced by lush greenery and the sound of pine trees swaying in the wind. 🌄 **The Rooftop is Pure Soul:** I was absolutely stunned the moment I stepped onto the rooftop – the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain stood behind me like a majestic screen, with the entire Erhai Lake and scattered Bai ethnic villages stretching out below. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple were faintly visible. In the morning, drawing back the curtains revealed a sea of rolling clouds. In the evening, I'd sit on the swing chair on the terrace, watching the sunset paint Erhai Lake a honeyed gold 🍯. At night, a glance upwards showed the Milky Way so clearly it brought tears to my eyes ✨. 🌿 **Immersive Mountain Living:** Hydrangeas were in full bloom in the courtyard, and dappled sunlight filtered through the treetops onto the wooden floors. The natural wood-toned room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, making it feel like sleeping right in the forest 🌲. There were also three resident cats, each with their own unique personality, taking turns on patrol. I specifically chose this hotel because it's very close to Dali Station. I often stay at Hilton's budget brands for transit, and while the price here wasn't low, and the hardware was relatively new, the overall experience was truly disappointing. I booked a garden view room, expecting to see a courtyard, but opening the window revealed a direct view of an urban village, with a parking lot right below. It felt nothing like a 'garden' at all. The breakfast, in particular, was a huge letdown. The self-service area was just a tiny mini-island with salad, fruit, yogurt, egg tarts, and sliced bread – a pitifully small selection. There were hardly any Western pastries, not even a simple croissant. Besides that, there was only a noodle station with 'crossing the bridge' rice noodles, and what looked like overnight fried rice and noodles. The quality was even worse than a 30-yuan hot spring hotel breakfast. What you see in the picture is pretty much all there was to eat. After reading other reviews that mentioned a pool, beach, and children's water toys, I seriously wonder if I went to the wrong hotel. On the positive side: the self-service laundry area was excellent, clean, and comfortable. Also, there's a wide variety of takeout options around the hotel, making ordering food very convenient. These two points are a big plus for business travelers and those staying overnight in transit. While the location, laundry facilities, and takeout options are suitable for a layover, considering the price, the discrepancy in views and breakfast offerings is significant. I'd advise lowering your expectations before checking in.

Coming to Dali and staying at Fansu was such a lucky find! The value for money is excellent. The sea view room offers a panoramic vista; you can enjoy the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake right from your bed. The sunset views are particularly stunning, painting the mountains and water in a warm golden hue. The service is meticulous and thoughtful, with quick responses to any requests. Parking is convenient, making it very friendly for self-driving tourists. The daily complimentary coffee is a delightful little surprise during the trip. You can also watch the fish lanterns near the guesthouse; as night falls, the lanterns float on the lake, creating a fantastic ambiance. Highly recommend!
