"We booked two rooms. My parents' room had a king-size bed. While they found the *huladong* (spicy soup) and *doumo* (millet paste) at breakfast not to their liking – perhaps a matter of personal taste – they did enjoy the vegetarian buns. As for the family room we booked, the main bed felt a bit small. We also noticed the sink's drain pipe was leaking when we used it; since it was late, my husband ended up fixing it himself. Furthermore, the shower's drainage was poor, seemingly due to an incorrect slope.
On the positive side, the service was excellent and very welcoming; they even met us at the parking lot. The in-room 'Xiao Du' smart system was very convenient. The surroundings were very quiet, and the hotel is conveniently located near Luoyi Ancient City. Overall, it was a decent stay."

"The guesthouse is perfectly situated right inside Luoyi Ancient City, just a 5-minute (300-meter) walk to Shizi Street, making it incredibly convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even assisting us with our luggage. I booked a room with a private courtyard, which was not only very convenient but also quite spacious. The room itself was spotlessly clean, hygienic, and very quiet. They also provided excellent, detailed information on tourist attractions and routes for Laojun Mountain and Longmen Grottoes, which significantly helped us plan our itinerary. The owner even thoughtfully offered us some local snacks, which was a very kind gesture."

Although I encountered some minor problems, the staff kept apologizing and helping to solve them. They really put customers first. Excellent service from the reception especially the lady Ms 孙 she is awesome and have full knowledge about the Longmen grotto. She has explained every details like which bus to take which station to stop so that you don't walk the longer way. "I was very satisfied with the B&B and stayed there for two days. The boss is very nice and down-to-earth. He enthusiastically recommends travel guides and food, personally prepares delicious breakfast, and also provides free snacks and cold drinks.
The homestay is clean and tidy, and the bed is very comfortable.
The location of the B&B is very good. It is 200 to 300 meters away from Luoyi Ancient City, Shizijie, and Xiguan Food Street, 1 km from Lijingmen, and just over 2 km from Yingtianmen. "Better than expected! I seldom stay in B&Bs because there are too many pitfalls. This time I went on a trip with my family, and the elders were not willing to stay in hotels so they wanted to try the B&B we chose. The location is good, next to Luoyi Ancient City and Laoshizi Street, and the attractions are only a few minutes' walk away. The boss and his wife are very welcoming and we didn't feel strange at all, just like old friends. The room is clean and there are not many rooms, so it is very quiet. The mutton soup recommended by the boss is also delicious. If my relatives and friends have the opportunity to come to Luoyang again in the future, I will definitely recommend it."

But the price/performance ratio is really average.
This cost-effectiveness is reflected in three aspects. First, the price is really expensive. The newly opened Marriott is only 720 a night. Second, the ancient town is really average. It is a costume photography base. There are few stores, and half of them are under development. I am really worried about Luoyang’s infrastructure. Suitable for young couples and girls. It doesn't make much sense for parents and children, especially boys, to live here. Third, the hardware is okay, but the software details are so-so. For example, the breakfast is very low. Compared with the other two hotels I stayed in, the service and catering services are incomparable.

JJinlingxiaoshutongMy colleague stayed here in May and highly recommended it. They enjoyed a 4-day in-depth tour of Luoyang. Unfortunately, I only had one night here as I needed to visit several other places. I can assure you, this is a genuine review, not a fake one. Here are the details:
1. **Price**: The price isn't just reasonable; it's incredibly affordable.
2. **Service**: The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
3. **Facilities**: The facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained.
4. **Ambiance**: The hotel has a very distinctive and charming decor style.
5. **Location & Amenities**: It's very close to Luoyi Old Town, and the hotpot restaurant next door serves excellent food.
As an added bonus, they offer complimentary souvenirs, and there's free drinking water and yogurt from the fridge in the lobby.
Regarding a minor downside, parking can be a bit difficult. However, this isn't the hotel's fault, as it's common for hotels near tourist attractions. The owner even offered to reimburse parking fees, or even taxi fares. This is actually a significant issue for Luoyang as a city that needs improvement, and it's unrelated to the hotel.
If you're traveling independently and without a car, staying at this hotel is an absolutely fantastic choice.

It is very close to the high-speed rail station and very convenient to Longmen Grottoes. I twisted my ankle during the trip and the hotel staff provided a lot of help, which I am very grateful for. GGuest UserThe room was clean, and the bedding was spotless. It felt great to sleep in one of the three beds, each one a piece. The Henan Cultural Tourism discount was a great value. The inn is located within the Longmen Grottoes scenic area, a ten-minute walk from the ticket gate. There are electric carts available for both arrival and departure. When we left, the driver even helped carry our luggage to the parking lot. Very helpful, thank you! I highly recommend the Sandan Lamb Soup, located just two or three kilometers away. You'll regret it if you don't try it.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for a family trip during the May Day holiday, and it's more of a guesthouse/B&B than a traditional hotel. The room layout was very cramped, with insufficient counter space; the small table couldn't hold many items, which was especially inconvenient when traveling with a child. While the bathroom had a wet/dry separation, the sink was right next to the bed, which felt unhygienic and was also quite noisy.
The room was equipped with smart devices: a projector, smart curtains, and a smart toilet. Although the smart toilet wasn't working on the day we checked in, it was quickly repaired. An extra quilt was also brought to us promptly when requested.
However, the service was a major letdown. The next day, our key card stopped working. There was only one person at the front desk, and they had apparently stepped out to run an errand after a phone call. We had to wait over ten minutes, and after a tiring journey to the hotel, it was really frustrating. To top it off, there wasn't even an apology. The staff's service mindset was genuinely poor.
Upon returning to the room, we found it hadn't been cleaned, even though we had specifically requested it before leaving, and there was still trash left inside. Again, the front desk offered no apology. Instead, they asked *me* if I had told the cleaning staff directly about the trash, which was just unbelievable.
The guesthouse is located on the third floor, above ground-floor shops and a second-floor restaurant, which made us feel less secure. There's a small rooftop garden where smoking is allowed. Paying over 800 RMB a night during the May Day holiday felt a bit steep, though I understand prices are higher during peak season. Still, I felt it wasn't worth the money.
The only positive was that my son absolutely loved playing with a little dog we met there.
