Luoyang Hotels with balcony

I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The room was more comfortable than I expected. The bed was large and very clean, and the sheets and duvet covers were already changed, so I didn't have to do it myself. The shower room and toilet were separate, which was very convenient, and the hygiene was well-maintained. It was very quiet at night, so I wasn't disturbed. The hostel also has many activities, so even staying alone wouldn't be boring, and the overall atmosphere is great. I especially liked the lobby; it's spacious, warmly decorated, clean, stylish, and comfortable. You can sit there to relax, chat, or watch movies. Overall, the stay was much better than expected, and I would definitely consider staying here again next time I visit Luoyang.

Perhaps it was the melancholic mood from listening to too much Xu Song in July and August that allowed me to smoothly snatch tickets for the Luoyang concert. I debated between a hotel and a hostel for a long time, but ultimately chose Mo Wen, a hostel with no bad reviews online, known as Luoyang's most outgoing, because I wanted to connect more with people. Life is made up of countless intersecting lines; each of us randomly appears on these lines, meeting new people, from near to far. Friends and uncles from all over the country converged at Mo Wen. This is a very human-centered hostel, unlike the commercial hostels of today. It feels more like what a hostel originally was. The uncle quietly cares for everyone, from the small details of their daily life during their stay to being willing to sit down and discuss life with you from a rational, elder's perspective. I'm an introvert, good at drawing energy from within, and perhaps not as uninhibited and playful as the extroverted friends there, but I still felt everyone's kind intention to include me. I think I will come to Luoyang again; after all, I haven't visited the longed-for White Horse Temple, nor have I experienced learning at the Huangfu Military Academy of makeup artistry. But I want to come back to Mo Wen even more. Unlike my first visit with a purpose, next time I want to fully enjoy everything that happens in this space. Just do good deeds, don't ask about the future. (Good news for animal lovers! There's an American Shorthair named Momo, a black cat named Wenwen, and a cute little poodle named Ludan, all very friendly!)

Pros: The hotel boasts a garden-style design, offering a resort-like feel. Its proximity to the Longmen Grottoes is a major plus, making it very convenient. Guests can access the shuttle bus to the grottoes directly from the hotel's parking lot – just ask the front desk for details. The rooms are clean with relatively new facilities. The front desk staff provided excellent service, upgrading my room and offering a late check-out. There were welcome fruits, and customer service was very responsive. During check-out, the lobby staff proactively helped with our luggage and even took a family photo for us. Thank you for your warm service! 🥰 Areas for improvement: 1. The breakfast restaurant staff lacked service awareness. We were a group of 8 (6 adults, 2 children) and had booked 3 rooms. Our two children were slightly over the height limit, and the staff insisted we pay for their breakfast, with an unyielding attitude. This was a disappointment for a five-star hotel and negatively impacted our stay. The breakfast variety and taste were also mediocre. 2. Some electrical outlets in the lobby corners show signs of aging wires, posing a potential safety hazard. Parents with young children should be mindful of this. We hope the hotel addresses this issue promptly by inspecting and replacing old wiring and outlets.

This hotel is located inside the scenic area's pedestrian street. It's about an 8-10 minute walk from where you get off the car. The room was quiet, with high-quality amenities. Breakfast was clean and fresh (starts at 7 AM, but people were already eating at 6:45 AM). The mattress was comfortable, and the air conditioning was powerful. The staff spoke softly and politely. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the inner courtyard because there were a lot of aggressive mosquitoes there around 7 PM. What was really disappointing was the restaurants within the scenic area. We went to the largest one, Longmen Food Stall, and everything was leftovers. The potstickers were reheated in the microwave, and the carp was refried. I advise everyone to avoid eating there. It would be a huge bonus if the hotel offered its own dining options or could recommend reliable, fresh restaurants to guests. Thank you!

This accommodation's location is excellent. First, it's newly renovated and very clean. The service is fantastic; any requests are immediately addressed, and everyone is incredibly polite. Secondly, the location is superb, right on Dongdajie Street. A short walk north leads to the subway entrance, which is very convenient. Since we were traveling with a child, we primarily used tuk-tuks and taxis, which were always easy to find. Downstairs, there's a small street featuring snacks, Hanfu makeup and styling, and boutique shops. A short walk east brings you to the North Gate of Luoyi Ancient City, where we watched the 'Celestial Maidens Scattering Flowers' performance. Walking west, you'll find Shizi Street, which has an abundance of snacks.

The B&B is in hotel style, very satisfactory, and the location is very good, very close to Yingtianmen! Makeup is so convenient! The room is also very clean, breaking the impression of B&B haha There is no elevator, but I see that there are old houses around that have been converted into B&Bs, and none of them have elevators, so I can accept that there is no elevator, after all, it is very close to the scenic spot You can tell from the details of the homestay that the owner has carefully arranged it. The service is also very good. When we checked out, he saw us taking our luggage downstairs and ran up to help us get it. Mineral water is free of charge. The disposables are also of high quality. The mattress is very comfortable. I am very satisfied overall and highly recommended.

BEST STAY EVER! Long review, but a meaningful one. Hotel & Facilities: I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. The location is excellent, only about a 5-minute walk from the main entrance of the Longmen Grottoes, plus all the shopping and food area. There is also a nearby bridge where I enjoyed beautiful views of the grottoes without entering the site! The receptionist Mengmeng upgraded my room to a suite free of charge, which made my stay even more memorable, since it was a special occasion! She was super helpful and kind through my stay. Housekeeping was outstanding. My room was cleaned every day and maintained to a high standard. The breakfast buffet had a variety of dishes and enough choices to keep breakfast interesting throughout my stay, I ate like a queen, besides the restaurant area is super peaceful. As a Spanish girl who does not speak good Chinese, I relied on translation apps, and the staff were always patient, welcoming, and eager to help. Exceptional Staff Support After I Sprained My Ankle: During my visit to the Longmen Grottoes, I unfortunately sprained my ankle. The level of care I received from the hotel staff was exceptional and was one of the main reasons I decided to extend my stay by an extra night. The receptionist Dan Dan and the driver Zhang Hong went above and beyond to help me the night I sprained my ankle. Ma Dan Dan was my main contact point. She regularly checked on me, provided ice for my ankle and even helped me do my laundry! She came up and down to my room several times to bring me everything I needed. I am very grateful for her time and care. The driver Changwang took me to the nearest health centre and he was super patient and talkative, which was nice. Special mention to one staff member called Wang Bing, she was working during the breakfast the day after I sprained my ankle and she was incredibly helpful, lovely and attentive, she even gave me a medicine for mosquito bites! Everyone treated me with kindness and professionalism. I believe mentioning their names is relevant, due to my particular situation, they deserve the recognition. As a solo woman travelling and getting injured far away from home, their support meant a great deal to me. Overall: Whether you are a domestic or international traveller, I highly recommend this hotel. The combination of beautiful facilities, an excellent location, outstanding cleanliness and nd caring staff made this one of the most memorable experiences I have had in my years of travelling. First and foremost, the host and property manager were incredibly welcoming. We arrived at the complex just as the manager was inspecting rooms, and they even helped us carry our luggage – a definite thumbs-up! The apartment itself is spacious and bright, featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all immaculately clean. The location is fantastic, situated right in the heart of the old town with excellent transport links. Luoyi Ancient City is just a short stroll downstairs, offering a variety of street food. Conveniently, the Luoyi Ancient City metro station (Line 1) is also just downstairs. You can take the metro one stop to Lijinmen, where you'll find Old Town Cross Street with all sorts of local snacks inside the city gate. The second stop is Yingtianmen, near the Tiantang, Mingtang, and Jiuzhouchi attractions, whose evening light shows are particularly stunning. We visited during the summer, so we unfortunately missed the famous Luoyang peonies; I'll have to return next April to see them. Luoyang is truly a city steeped in history, and I definitely plan to visit again!

We had a great experience staying in the room type with two large beds and one bunker bed. We booked this room kinda expecting the bunker bed to excite our 4 and 7 yo and it definitely proved so. Room is clean, AC is great. The breakfast (made free with a trip.com promotion) is quite a treat. Even some might prefer hot coffee but honestly I cannot complain much with the offer of a hard boiled egg, two potstickers, one pcs of corn, millet congee, etc. The staffs are all responsive and ready to help with request like additional towels/bottled water/breakfast food. The owners had a friendly puppy called “fanfan”on site too. At the end of our trip one of the co-owners used his motorcycles to carry a heavy suitcase to the place we booked our taxi and as we can see they ride people to metro station as well. The location is just a short (maybe 100m) walk from the South Gate of Luoyi Ancient City. We took a night walking into Luoyi Ancient City from the north gate after eating dinner in one of the busiest places known for its street food and getting out of South Gate knowing the hotel is just minutes away. Would definitely recommend this one to others who want to stay near Luoyi Ancient City area.
