NNicDThis is a very nice hotel which is great value for money. The location is great, just around the corner from a large mall (Wangfujing) and lots of restaurants nearby. I especially recommend the little place with 'Chinese Hamburger' on the sign on the road behind the hotel building - they have an English menu and do great roujiamo - they even have a vegetarian 'sujiamo'! We got an upgrade on check in and the room was spacious and comfortable. The cleaners and reception staff were generally polite and helpful. The breakfast was Chinese but was fresh, different every day, and any food that ran out at busy times was always quickly replenished. The free laundry was very convenient and the machines were easy to use. We did have two issues which made staying there a bit inconvenient though. The first was that when the underground car park was full cars could no longer get past the barrier, meaning they couldn't drive up to reception. This was a problem since the road outside was flooded and meant that we had to load and unload suitcases while standing in deep puddles in the pouring rain. The second issue was the keycards: every day we would come back to our room and the keycard wouldn't work. We complained at reception every single day about this issue but it was never resolved.

GGuest UserA wonderful experience, the staff were very helpful and treated us like guests in their home. The breakfast buffet was really enjoyable and all local products with the soups being a highlight. The bed was very comfortable and we were given an early check in and free room upgrade. The reception staff helped us to book the shaolin temple and longmen grottoes, which was useful as its not always easy to book online with wechat or trip.com.

GGuest UserThe service was excellent. I arrived just after 9 AM, and they were able to check me in right away, several hours ahead of schedule. The evening congee was also quite good. The laundry service was also excellent; even though it's officially self-service, if you leave your dirty clothes in the laundry room, the staff will proactively wash, dry, and return them to your room. The location is also great; in the evening, you can take a 5-minute walk to Peony Bridge to admire the night view of the Luo River.

SSushudaorenThe hotel boasts a fantastic setting, perched on a mountain with panoramic views of Luoyang city. The rooms are generously sized, and the balconies are particularly spacious. The hotel grounds are expansive and beautifully landscaped. However, the interior amenities felt a bit unpolished, especially the smart toilet, whose quality and cleanliness were quite worrisome. After each flush, it would emit a strange, continuous noise for several minutes.
The hotel breakfast was of good quality and served semi-buffet style. Yet, the offerings were quite repetitive; after staying for two nights, we found choices limited on the second morning. The breakfast cold dishes, in particular, were visually appealing but lacked flavor.
On a positive note, the customized barbecue dinner is highly recommended. It was delicious, and the chef clearly put a lot of care into its preparation.

LLian SerWe booked this hotel for 2 nights because it is new and next to the Luoshenfu performance next door. Excellent hotel. So beautiful and spacious rooms with separate bathroom and toilet. Way beyond our expectations. Nice bath tub, shower room, projector TV, coffee machine with complimentary cookies and fruits and complimentary drinks in mini-bar. Robot delivering bottled water when requested. Absolutely love the hotel and wish we stayed longer. We will book this hotel again if we visit Luoyang.
Chinese Restaurant had tremendous value. Delicious 9 course dinner including steam fish and lobster, taste really good. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant on both nights. The first night we were thoroughly impressed with the private dining room with ensuite toilet.

Definitely the best hotel of our 2 weeks stay in China. Now we have a great impression of Luoyang because of the hotel.
Only feedback is that it will be good if the toilet and bathroom lights can be separate so that at night when sleeping, guests can just switch on the toilet light and leave the rest of the room dark. Current dim light switch leaves bathroom still quite bright and glaring when sleeping. Other than this minor point, this hotel really wonderful and definitely a great hotel to stay in Luoyang!

GGuest UserWe recently stayed at a hotel near the Yongmen Grottoes and had an amazing experience. The receptionist , Ms Chang Ming Ming was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She was so kind and help us with online wechat booking of the tickets to the Yongmen grottoes, saving us the time to queue at the ticket counter.
The breakfast was simply sumptuous (Chinese breasfast) - worth every bit of the 40 Yuan! . I especially appreciated the freshness and quality of the food.
The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding. Every corner was spotless, and the room was impeccably maintained, which made for a relaxing and pleasant stay.
Additionally, the location couldn't be more convenient. The hotel is just a five-minute walk to the Yongmen Grottoes entrance making it perfect for anyone planning to explore this beautiful historic site.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. It's the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and excellent service!
Tips - please call ahead for location of the hotel as taxi is not allow to enter the area close to Yongmen Grottoes and the hotel will pick you up frm nearest drop off

GGuest UserThis lovely hotel is as close as you can get to the Longmen Grottoes! Walk or take the hotel shuttle down the hill, and the river and grottoes are in front of you! Our room had great beds, 2 kinds of pillows (I love the buckwheat pillow, my friend prefers the regular pillow), cool air conditioning (it's hot in July), & excellent, powerful shower with high quality shampoo, etc. Although our Chinese language skills are poor, the staff were patient, helpful, & highly service-oriented, using apps to communicate with us. They explained the finer details of getting tickets to the grottoes & moving around the area. The extensive breakfast buffet was terrific, with a huge range of choices to satisfy all palates--I prefer Chinese breakfast foods, my friend prefers Western style breakfast. Both of us were full and happy, ready to climb all the stairs at the grottoes. It is necessary to mention the dinner restaurant at Dong Shang Hotel. It was excellent. Eggplant=100% fantastic! Cilantro salad=100% wow! I recommend their dinner restaurant even if you are not staying at their hotel.

AAnonymous UserI rarely write reviews, but this was the first time I took my family on a self-driving trip to Luoyang hoping to experience B&B life. I didn’t expect it to be more cost-effective than a hotel, although the car can only be parked in a parking lot about 400 meters away from the B&B. After calling the hotel for confirmation, the boss immediately drove the tram to the parking lot and put my luggage directly on the car. My family went to the hotel by themselves, and then the warm hospitality of the boss's family after arriving at the B&B also made us appreciate the B&B. The safety and comfort level have been greatly improved. If I come back to Luoyang next time, I will be happy to rent this B&B again.
(I also have a small suggestion for friends who want to rent a B&B. Please contact the B&B owner in advance before arriving at the B&B. They are also very happy to explain the local situation and check-in arrangements. They will also give a lot of travel tips on the route and itinerary, especially to the boss’s handsome son)

GGuest UserThe room and the facilities were as advertised. I could book the taxi pickup they offer for 2-night reservations. Even with English I could text and book the taxi ride the day before arrival (SMS & WeChat). Also offered free snacks in the room. Also they helped me in identifying places to visit as Laojun mountain is closed for foreigners (I did not know before arriving). Longmen Grottoes is very close, you can walk there! Also there are busses connecting well with the Longmen city. The lady at the reception was helpful answering all my questions via WeChat as it translated the messages automatically.
