The food great and the design of the restaurant very special. See photos. "This is our first time staying at Intercity SZ(深圳福田皇岗城际酒店) and surprisingly the experience is unexpectedly good.
We reserved 2 rooms and arrived at the hotel at 1030am on 30/8/2025.
We paid around $240 for upgrading to a better room on the 16th floor.
Our observations and comments are as follows:
1. Early check-in. We arrived at the hotel at 1030am and can offer a room within 15 minutes.
2. Late check-out is offered though we do not insist.
3. Transparent pricing table

For improvement; the water pressure in the shower is a bit slow and weak. Otherwise, it would rate higher.

"We’re so happy that we extended 3 nights instead of 1. Location is very good and you can do almost anything in Shenzhen from here. Metro station is quite near (10 mins walking distance) and the receptionist is very kind although she cannot speak english, but she willing to use translate app. Room got upgraded to the biggest one (we ordered the very small one). Best hotel we have ever stay in China."

All the facilities were well-appointed. What truly stood out was the exceptional service; both the housekeeping 'auntie' and the front desk staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. This attention to detail was really impressive! The breakfast offered great value for money, with options to suit everyone's needs. 1110237****Squeezing in a last-minute getaway, hehe😁 As many reviews noted, check-in was quite slow. However, I could tell the front desk attendant was genuinely putting in a lot of effort to find an available room and assign a suitable one. We were fortunate enough to get a room upgrade too. While waiting in line for check-in, a staff member offered us drinks and small pastries. Since it was already past 4 PM and we were quite tired upon arrival, this gesture was very thoughtful.
The seawater was indeed nice. From the balcony, you could see the free public park teeming with swimmers until very late at night. The waves were strong and quite high, and the kids had a blast. We even spotted small fish occasionally when diving underwater. The outdoor infinity pool was beautiful and very enjoyable to swim in. The indoor one, however, felt just so-so. The kids' play area was closed, so our main focus was playing in the ocean waves.
The information mentioned that dinner reservations were required, but tables were only held until 6 PM. Six o'clock, however, is the perfect time to enjoy the evening and witness the most beautiful sunset. So, making a reservation felt rather pointless; you could just go directly. Also, the weekend meal supplement was a bit pricey: 428 for adults, and 249 for children between 1.2-1.4 meters tall. The dishes were quite plentiful, with the most expensive item, small lobsters, limited to half a lobster per person. It felt more like we were paying for the ambiance than just the food. Furthermore, the package included breakfast for two adults and one child, but the child had to be under 1.2 meters tall. I felt that children under 1.2m are typically offered breakfast for free anyway, so explicitly stating it was 'included for one child' felt a bit like feigned generosity. However, there was a special discount if you added breakfast at the front desk.
Exiting the hotel lobby, if you turn right and walk up the road, you'll reach a seaside boardwalk where the water is even greener. It's about a 2km walk to Xiaomeisha, a nice option for those who enjoy strolling.
The travel photography service, highly praised in many reviews, was indeed great at teaching us how to pose. However, the 'fine-tuned' editing seemed to be mostly one-click beautification and wasn't really necessary; I would have preferred just the original photos.
Overall, if you're not particularly price-sensitive, you can definitely have a fantastic holiday experience here. A big thank you again for the room upgrade, which significantly enhanced our stay! 😄🥰

Additionally, they offered complimentary evening amenities like porridge, ice, and tea, which was a thoughtful and excellent service.

The 24-hour gym is a given, and its transparent window design really helps you feel refreshed and invigorated. The hotel staff have provided excellent service to accomodate our stay and the birthday decorations in the room was very cute and hearty. The only small thing is I wish the shampoo and hand wash was filled up instead of ”half used” to give guest a better impression.

The hotel also boasts a complimentary swimming pool with excellent water quality; the kids had such a blast they didn't want to get out! It's very close to Dameisha Beach, just a few minutes' walk away, which is incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any queries or requests. Every staff member I encountered throughout the hotel had a wonderful attitude, making for a fantastic overall experience. I would definitely return given the opportunity.

The service was also superb. We were personally escorted to our room during check-in, and even received a thoughtful souvenir upon check-out. The hotel has its own restaurant. The room was clean and tidy. Furthermore, the seawater and beach at A'Kanara are very clean. My only minor comment is that the beach is a bit small, but everything else was flawless. The sunsets are incredibly beautiful, truly living up to its reputation as an 'Orange Sea'. By the beach, you can enjoy swings, have beer and grilled chicken, and during the summer, there are even live band performances. Overall, this was a fantastic holiday experience.
