There are tons of great food options nearby; you can literally step downstairs and enjoy all sorts of cuisines. Getting to tourist spots is also easy with shared electric scooters. Cleanliness: The room was spotless and well-maintained, with new facilities and no hidden dirty spots. The overall hygiene was excellent, for instance, the room corners were dust-free, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with no unpleasant odors."

"The Sheraton Shantou is the most expensive and foul-smelling hotel I've ever stayed in, and my experience was terrible. The air in the hotel was awful; after just one night, I developed an upper respiratory infection, a cold, fever, and headache. The carpets were incredibly dirty and smelly, and the hygiene was appalling. I don't understand why anyone would stay here or why it's recommended. However, both the hotel staff and the Trip.com employees had excellent attitudes. Whatever you do, do NOT stay at the Sheraton Shantou in Longguang if you go to Shantou; you'll just get sick!"
