Guest UserStumbled upon this guesthouse online and decided to check it out before the May Day holiday rush. I was initially worried it might be a 'seller's show' (looks better in pictures than in real life), but it turned out to be 100% accurate to what was posted! Overall, a great experience.
**Environment:** The guesthouse is set up like an estate, offering good privacy, so you're not disturbed by non-hotel guests or road noise.
**Facilities:** The infinity pool in the room seems to circulate filtered seawater, which was very clean. It's perfect for taking photos at night when the lights are on, but it does shut off at 12 AM. There's also an outdoor pool on the first floor facing the sea. The minibar and fridge drinks in the room are complimentary, and all the amenities are of good quality.
**Service:** The hotel staff were incredibly attentive. Right after booking, I immediately received a call from the owner. After adding them on WeChat, they confirmed my arrival time and whether I wanted the pool pre-filled, etc. Throughout my stay, I felt that all the staff had a great attitude.
This is also a pet-friendly establishment. If you bring a pet, they provide a pet amenities kit with pee pads, diapers, disposable bowls, chew toys like Boryeongdan, and more. I brought my own dog bed, and they mentioned they also offer small beds. However, there's an additional cleaning fee for pets, which I didn't see on the booking page and only found out about upon arrival.

Anonymous UserThe hotel has a lot going for it. We enjoyed the fresh renovations and the breakfast was good. I don’t think it’s worthy of 5 stars though because they have extremely cheap and uncomfortable mattresses. The mattress was so light and springy that any movement from the other side of the bed would make you wake up and you can feel the springs and hear them. We tried flipping the mattress over as instructed by hotel staff but the hard side of the bed was equally uncomfortable.
We booked the Urcove for the next night because Hyatt has a high standard for mattresses and we can count on a good night’s sleep. One thing to keep in mind for these hotels in China is they are pretty much all unwilling to enforce no smoking rules. Even with air filters throughout the hotel we could smell the cigarette smoke everywhere.

Guest UserThis stay far exceeded my expectations, and I must give a special shout-out to Oliver at the front desk! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, Oliver's warm smile instantly melted away my travel fatigue. During check-in, he was not only efficient and professional but also thoughtfully arranged a quiet high-floor room based on my preferences. He proactively informed me about breakfast times and hotel facility locations – truly meticulous service.
When I inquired about local food and transportation, Oliver had all the answers, recommending authentic and affordable local restaurants that helped me avoid tourist traps. What moved me the most was learning I had an early flight the next day; he specially prepared a warm welcome note and a simple breakfast takeaway reminder in advance. This kind of above-and-beyond thoughtfulness made me feel incredibly warm. Throughout all our interactions, Oliver was consistently patient, enthusiastic, and displayed exceptional professionalism and genuine care for guests. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-soundproofed, and coupled with such attentive service from the front desk, made this trip exceptionally pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel and give a big thumbs up to Oliver! I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Guest UserThis hotel was a fantastic experience! The front desk was very efficient with check-in, and they even thoughtfully provided a local travel guide. The location is super convenient, with a food street right nearby. Plus, on Saturdays, there's Teochew opera, which is a great way to immerse yourself in the Chaoshan culture.

Check-in was super fast, and they were always there when we needed anything – so thoughtful. The room facilities were brand new and smart, the mattress was wonderfully soft, and the bathroom's wet/dry separation was excellent. The cleanliness was impeccable; the lobby and rooms were bright and spotless, making for a very reassuring stay. The first-line sea view was stunning, and the infinity pool was perfect for photos. The guy who received us was very enthusiastic. He took the initiative to help us carry our luggage from the parking lot. He led us to the hotel front desk to check in. While we were waiting, he handed us Laohuang water, which is unique to the Chaoshan area. It is sour and sweet with a slightly medicinal taste and a very unique taste. I looked at the name tag of the guy and found out that his name is Chi Sentao. I give him a big thumbs up. The next day, I saw the yellow fermented black beans being prepared. After learning about it, I learned that the hotel rotates the Chaoshan Three Treasures to prepare tea every day. The hotel's landscaping area is indeed large. It is worthy of being a resort hotel. It is very close to the park and can be reached on foot. It is worth mentioning that the park tickets are paid by face recognition. We can go in and out through the facial recognition channel as many times as we want and don't have to worry about getting the tickets wet. The only drawback is that the vacation is shorter. Next time I will stay a few more days to enjoy the environment.

Guest UserTraveling with a child, a twin room is a must. The Orange Crystal I booked previously only had king beds, so I canceled it without hesitation and chose this hotel.
Pros: The environment is good. Right across from the hotel is a flower market with beautiful fresh flowers, worth a visit. The lobby is beautiful and spacious, and the room is clean and tidy. The carpet is soft and clean. Although the room is a bit small, it's perfectly adequate. The hotel provides tea leaves, a tea set, and capsule coffee. I didn't try the coffee, but the tea was good. The breakfast has a good variety, and the setting is lovely.
Cons: The soundproofing in the room is just average; I could quite clearly hear the TV and people talking next door. Also, the windows couldn't be opened, probably due to being on a higher floor.
Overall, I still recommend it.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is very convenient, and the service is professional and patient, especially from front desk staff Roshan and Jzhyo. They provided excellent service and even gave us a free upgrade. Before we left, we needed help mailing something, and they were very responsible and followed up promptly. The food delivery robot is also safe and user-friendly. It truly lives up to its reputation as the best hotel in the area!

Guest UserTraveling with a friend this time, I compared two five-star hotels on Nan'ao Island before booking, and was ultimately drawn to this one's infinity pool, so I decisively booked it. I can only say we picked the right place; the experience was absolutely amazing and truly spectacular!
The entire hotel exudes a sophisticated design aesthetic, and you can genuinely feel that the owners put immense effort into perfecting every detail from the guests' perspective. They were incredibly thoughtful.
There's no need to exaggerate about the amenities; just the Daikin smart air conditioning and the soothing background music in the bathroom alone are worth praising. Brushing my teeth to gentle melodies made me feel completely relaxed and happy, both physically and mentally.
The cleanliness was impeccable. The bedding was perfectly smooth and tidy, with neat lines, showing the professionalism and meticulousness of the housekeeping staff. The biggest surprise was that the hotel also provides complimentary long dresses for photoshoots. Any snap taken by the infinity pool turned into a stunning, atmospheric picture, allowing me to capture my desired beautiful photos perfectly.
The service details were especially thoughtful. The room even came with individually packaged soft cotton towels, showing how thoroughly everything had been considered.
Breakfast was an exquisite set menu, with aesthetically pleasing plating that looked great without even trying. Every meal was picture-perfect.
My only slight regret is not bringing my child along for this experience. I've already decided to bring them back specifically for another visit next time.
I wouldn't call myself an experienced travel blogger, and I've stayed in many five-star hotels, big and small, but the experience at this one was truly outstanding, so I couldn't help but take the time to write this positive review. My entire trip to Nan'ao Island was comfortable and pleasant, with stunning sea views and heartwarming attention to detail at the hotel. Highly recommended!

Guest UserI frequently travel to Shantou for business, and this was my first time staying in Chenghai. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great hotel here. It's centrally located, making it convenient to get around, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The room type was also good, and I had a very comfortable stay. The housekeeping staff were polite and enthusiastic, and the front desk staff were attentive, friendly, and highly professional. They made me feel more at ease and comfortable than any other hotel front desk I've encountered, especially Ms. Chen Xu and Ms. Zihan, who proactively communicated and helped resolve any issues. The breakfast was also good, and the best part is that it's served for an extended period, accommodating different people's needs. The only minor drawback is that the sofa covers or slipcovers in the lobby could use an update.
