Guest UserThe overall design of the homestay is very strong. From the design of the room, the bathroom bedding, the public area to the dining area, every place is very attentive and very clean. The green that cannot be captured in photos is very high-end. You can see the sunrise from the room, which is very photogenic. I would like to mention that the two housekeepers, Xiao Miao and Xiao Cai, are very considerate. The fruits we brought with us were carefully washed, cut and specially arranged on the plate. All our needs were met, and they were available on call. They also helped us with our luggage. It is a place I will stay in again. The experience is worth the price. It is worth the trip.

Guest UserStumbled upon this guesthouse online and decided to check it out before the May Day holiday rush. I was initially worried it might be a 'seller's show' (looks better in pictures than in real life), but it turned out to be 100% accurate to what was posted! Overall, a great experience.
**Environment:** The guesthouse is set up like an estate, offering good privacy, so you're not disturbed by non-hotel guests or road noise.
**Facilities:** The infinity pool in the room seems to circulate filtered seawater, which was very clean. It's perfect for taking photos at night when the lights are on, but it does shut off at 12 AM. There's also an outdoor pool on the first floor facing the sea. The minibar and fridge drinks in the room are complimentary, and all the amenities are of good quality.
**Service:** The hotel staff were incredibly attentive. Right after booking, I immediately received a call from the owner. After adding them on WeChat, they confirmed my arrival time and whether I wanted the pool pre-filled, etc. Throughout my stay, I felt that all the staff had a great attitude.
This is also a pet-friendly establishment. If you bring a pet, they provide a pet amenities kit with pee pads, diapers, disposable bowls, chew toys like Boryeongdan, and more. I brought my own dog bed, and they mentioned they also offer small beds. However, there's an additional cleaning fee for pets, which I didn't see on the booking page and only found out about upon arrival.

Highly recommend the Chao Hong Ji City Hotel! The room was brightly lit with excellent natural light, and meticulously clean. You can enjoy the bay views right from your bed. The room also came with a Kung Fu tea set, which was a lovely touch and very characteristic of the Chaoshan region. The service was attentive, and any requests were handled promptly. It's conveniently located for walks and visiting exhibitions. The Chaoshan snacks for breakfast were authentic and delicious. The environment was quiet and peaceful. It's perfect for both tourism and short stays. My overall experience was very satisfying.

Anonymous UserI first met Oliver at another hotel, and this time, I decided to try Oriental Century based on his recommendation – and I'm so glad I did! :) I've already told my family we're coming back next weekend for a swim. The sea view from the room is absolutely stunning; the huge floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unobstructed panorama of every rhythm of the ocean. Watching the sea from the window is incredibly therapeutic, especially paired with the Kung Fu tea provided by the hotel – a genuine Chaoshan flavor that spreads from your tongue to your heart. The comfort and elegance of the environment are evident in every detail, from the moment you step into the lobby to the room itself, and the cleanliness is spotless, giving you peace of mind. The hotel's facilities are high-end; the marble seems to be from the old Fendi White quarry, and the bathroom fixtures are Hansgrohe. The towels are the thickest and warmest I've experienced in any luxury hotel, and the aroma in the public areas is delightful. For breakfast, I enjoyed authentic and diverse Chaoshan delicacies, like kway teow, rice noodle rolls, congee, and various side dishes. The European bread was freshly baked and incredibly fragrant – I wished I had a bigger stomach! The service was also excellent; every staff member I encountered was polite, smiling, and greeted us proactively. Oliver was as attentive as ever, arranging our room and then introducing us to the hotel's facilities and nearby attractions. He planned our routes for everything, whether it was 'oxygen-absorbing' in the park or a soulful walk by the sea. Even on our first visit, we felt right at home; having him there is a guarantee of a worry-free stay. It's a shame we were in such a rush this time and didn't get to the pool, but next time, I'm definitely taking some beautiful photos, haha!

Cleanliness: Clean and tidy.
Service: The concierge service was excellent.
Facilities: The only downside was that the pool was closed, so I didn't get to experience it.
Ambiance: Elegant, and the perfume/fragrance smelled really nice.
Overall, it was very good, and the bedding was comfortable.

Guest UserBefore I dive into the review, I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk staff, particularly the gentleman with glasses whose name starts with a 'T'. His service was excellent! This is my first time ever feeling compelled to leave a hotel review. He proactively upgraded my room, and honestly, from the service to the overall attitude, and even the training of the cleaning staff – everyone greets you cheerfully. Overall, a five-star rating! My first impression of this hotel was incredibly positive.

Shenzhenchaoke
This is an old, well-established brand in Chenghai, Shantou, and I've stayed here a few times. The hygiene is good, and the service is decent too. The best thing about this brand is that they don't hike up prices erratically during holidays, and their service consistently remains good. Perhaps outsiders haven't discovered this, but as a frequent guest, I definitely notice the difference.

Guest UserThis is hands down the best B&B I've ever stayed in. No contest. I arrived on a weekday, so there weren't many tourists. The owner even treated me to a meal! We chatted for two hours, and I learned that this is their family's 300-year-old ancestral home. The villagers entrusted him and his team to manage it. It used to have 99 rooms, now converted into just over 20 guest rooms. The level of exquisite renovation surpasses most five-star hotels, and the enclosed design of the entire building gives you a wonderful sense of security. My room with an outdoor private hot spring was very spacious and perfectly equipped. I could leisurely enjoy tea or work without any disturbance; it was incredibly quiet. The hotel isn't just part of a building, the entire structure *is* the hotel. The owner mentioned that when they opened earlier this year, they collected over 100,000 RMB in entrance fees from tourists in just three days. Later, they stopped to avoid disturbing guests. It's very close to the filming location of 'A Love Letter to Grandma' and there are many fantastic seafood stir-fry restaurants nearby. The only 'downside' is that it's a bit far from Chaozhou city center, so you need a car to get around. Of course, that could also be seen as an advantage!

LangxianWe booked the Octonauts themed room, and my child absolutely loved seeing all the dolls. The room even came with a themed mini-shoulder bag. The room and facilities were pretty standard. I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was served until noon. There are plenty of convenient dining options nearby, especially the goose rice and congee places. It's also quite close to Aofei Plaza. If you don't feel like walking or taking a taxi, you can just grab a shared e-scooter on the street and explore the area.

Guest UserMy stay here far exceeded my expectations; I was very satisfied overall and highly recommend this hotel. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for both getting around and dining. Check-in was efficient, and the front desk staff were kind and polite, patiently answering all my questions and providing thoughtful and attentive service. Stepping into the room was a pleasant surprise; it was spacious and bright, with soft and clean bedding. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, hot water supply was stable, toiletries were complete, and the room had good soundproofing. The public areas were clean and impressive, and the facilities were well-maintained. Whether you're traveling for leisure or business, this is an excellent choice. The value for money is great, and you can feel the owner's thoughtfulness in the details. The entire check-in and stay process was smooth and comfortable, with no unpleasant minor issues. Next time I'm in the area, I'll prioritize staying here again and will recommend it to friends who are traveling.
