Romantic Hotels in Ningbo

I bought hotel vouchers for the Kaiyuan chain during a Trip.com livestream. I had vouchers for both Ningbo Jiulong Lake Kaiyuan Resort and Ningbo Shiqifang Kaiyuan Guan Tang, so I decided to visit both. Honestly, when it comes to the hotels themselves, I actually preferred Shiqifang Kaiyuan Guan Tang. It had an authentic, old-school charm, and even the breakfast was unique and delicious. My only complaint, and it's more than a complaint – I'm almost ready to file a formal complaint – is about the security guard at the entrance. Zhenhai District is already a bit out of the way in Ningbo, so most people drive or take ride-sharing services. One time, I called a ride-share to go to Shan Hai Jiulong Yuan. The guard just wouldn't open the gate, making the car reverse and try again five times, and it still didn't work. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and asked him, ”Could you please open the gate manually for us?” It was only a two-meter distance, but it took him half a minute to walk over. Is that slow, unhurried pace the kind of attitude you should have at work? I stayed for two days and took a taxi six times, and not once was it smooth sailing. For a mere one or two meters, he was so slow and hesitant, or he'd make the car back up and try again. Such a great place with such terrible security! Sigh.

The front desk kindly upgraded us to a 2-meter king-size bed room, with an expansive view outside the window where we could see the beautiful streetlights at night. The facilities were complete, and there was even a direct drinking water tap, which is great for tea lovers! The hotel's location is very convenient for transportation, close to Chenghuang Temple, Tianyi Pavilion, and Tianyi Square. If the weather isn't too hot, it's also very friendly for those who like to walk. The hotel also offers a self-service late-night snack, and after a day of exploring, a hot bowl of congee was incredibly comforting. There are also ice cream and coffee in the hotel lobby, which is a thoughtful touch. Atour is consistently good, highly recommended.

Staying at Kaiyuan Resort at Jiulong Lake, the biggest highlight is the beautiful mountain and lake scenery. The resort grounds are spacious and the air is fresh. The rooms are well-equipped and quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of options, though the taste is just average. The hotel has plenty of activities for kids, making it great for families. There was a bit of a wait during check-in on the weekend, but the overall service attitude was good. It’s perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway from the city hustle and bustle.

Not far from the subway station. Great location to visit Yinzhou park and ningbo museum. There are lots of small stores around. The area was not crowded at all. Breakfast was ok, you can ask the cook for noodles. I just found weird that the blinds were located in the bedroom side of the glass rather than on the bathroom side...

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza Xiangshan was very comfortable overall, everything from the environment and service to the dining made us feel relaxed. The hotel's environment is excellent, especially the swimming pool. It's spacious and the whole atmosphere is very comfortable, perfect for a family vacation. The dining also exceeded expectations, with a rich selection of dishes and good flavors. There's basically no need to go out looking for food. Overall, it's a hotel very suitable for families or those with children, where you can slow down and truly enjoy the hotel's facilities and services. Our experience this time was great, and we'll definitely come back if we have the chance!

This hotel is nestled deep in the mountains, reached by winding roads. The natural forest environment is simply breathtaking – the air is fresh, and the trees, flowers, and insects all live in perfect harmony. The rooms are uniquely built into the mountainside. They're a bit on the smaller side and show some signs of age. Due to the high temperatures, it was incredibly hot when we checked in during the afternoon, and the small loft in the room felt like a sauna. However, it became quite comfortable once the temperature dropped in the evening. Waking up to the picturesque scenery and pleasant temperatures was lovely. I imagine spring and autumn would be even more ideal times to visit. The hotel has an outdoor pool, but it was too sunny to enjoy properly. A big shout-out to the butler, who was a definite plus – so warm, patient, and attentive. We had dinner at the hotel, which you need to book a day in advance. The food was decent, nothing spectacular but perfectly fine. Breakfast is served individually, with each person getting a portion of various main dishes. It was enough to eat and avoided any waste. There's a gentle rafting spot not far from the hotel, but we didn't have time to try it. We also found a stream for溯溪 (stream trekking) about 30 minutes away by car. The hotel's location is a bit remote, so exploring nearby attractions or finding other dining options is inconvenient. It's a good idea to bring some snacks or food with you. The hotel could consider developing more activities to attract additional guests. Another bonus: it's pet-friendly!

At first it was because the children had a obsession with the inverted house, and they were going. At first, I was a little worried about the homestay, but it was great here. It felt like a strange encounter or a dream time. The homestay has a hill, just in the Qiyu Valley Scenic Area. The scenic area is not big, but there is spring everywhere. The fun and sudden surprises are all explored everywhere. There is a strange fairy tale house, let me remember Vietnam's big crazy house. hahaha is not inferior at all, there is a paradise, there are small pets, there are very kind bosses and managers, just like friends in the next house, there are chicken rice chips that children love to eat, there are Ningbo dishes we like, no hurry, It's good to have a heart scattered all at once. There is an ancient village nearby and a small park. Ningbo is really well built. There are no tourists, clean and quiet, and there are many streams. It is said that playing water rafting in summer is good. Hahaha is not a false name for the stream. Can come again.

The most stunning feature of Songbo Garden is, of course, the pine trees. I checked in quite late, and the next day was overcast, but I still braved the cold wind to wander around the garden. The green hills were faintly visible, the grass was vibrantly green, and the priceless pine trees were beautifully manicured. The gorgeous koi added even more color to the garden. On the other hand, the hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the 298 dinner was incredibly generous. All the staff were very enthusiastic; the duty manager, shuttle bus driver, and restaurant staff were all excellent. The only drawback was the front desk; they were careless and seemed out of it. The butler service was practically non-existent, as responses were very slow and tardy. Even though I gave a full score, I still need to point out the issues with the front desk, but I won't go into too much detail here.

It was my first time to book a B&B, and I was moved by the enthusiasm and simplicity of the owner, Xiao Wu and the aunts! We checked in very late, and Xiao Wu came out to pick us up. It happened to be New Year's Eve, so a bonfire was lit in front of the B&B. The owner also provided us with luminous pearls, fairy sticks and other fireworks to play with. The rice cake slices in the store are really delicious hahahahaha! We had a wonderful New Year's Eve with other guests, making fire, watching movies, and setting off fireworks! Overall, I feel like this B&B is very good, and it might be more interesting in summer! Thank you to the owner and all the staff in the store and we look forward to seeing you again!
