CChicago GirlWhat a cute hotel in a cute ancient town! We enjoyed our stay here over the October holidays. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the main street with all the food and shops and people! Actually, even though it was the holidays and there were a lot of people, it was not too crazy. And the hotel is just a few minutes away but seemed quiet and serene. Beautiful ancient courtyard home converted into part hotel and traditional Chinese arts. We made an ink press of a Chinese poem into a lamp, which they gave us. Very cool. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bed on the firm side but not too hard. Awesome aircon. Great shower. Simple Chinese breakfast. We brought our own coffee, and there’s actually a Starbucks a few minutes walk away. We would definitely stay here again.

I booked it for 4 nights for my parents and they were very satisfied~ It is incomparably close to Limin Village, Xiaoputuo, and Ningbo Academician Center. Walking past the embankment of Xiaoputuo is Yuanrong Square. From here, it is not far from Qianhu Secret Land and Fuquan Villa! There are also buses arriving at Hanling Old Street and Yinwan Village｜ Service: The boss aunt is super nice. She entrusts the boss aunt to collect and deliver the items temporarily purchased online for my parents. Moreover, I arrived early on the first day and was allowed to check in early. My parents said that they were warm and friendly when they met each other in the past few days, and we could chat a few words. I will definitely stay here next time I go to Ningbo! I hope the price doesn’t go up, hahaha

The fish and shrimp for the island dinner were actually farmed, and the clams were the most common oil clams, which was a bit disappointing. The boss said that the bamboo shoots were freshly dug on the island, and the roasted bamboo shoots and meat were delicious. One plate was not enough, so he added more, which made me happy. GGuest UserWe spend three nights here to explore the area and loved our stay! The owners were so kind and helpful! Despite our limited mandarin we could still communicate well with some English and translation apps. They helped us with public transport directions (two buses from Ningbo) and provided a varied tasty breakfast (even vegetarian upon our lastminute request). Nice warm shower and beautiful mountain view from the room. There are some great hiking trails nearby (see Zhejiang hiking trails app), some starting directly from this cute historic village. The village across the hill (15min walk) is also very scenic. All in all a great nature getaway from Shanghai with the sweetest hosts!
